The dirty tactics used to win an argument.

WHEN AGGRESSION IS A SIGN OF WEAKNESS:

Many Zimbabweans might not qualify for international debates because they struggle to handle opposing views maturely and with an open mind. In professional debating, it is important to argue your position respectfully without resorting to insults against the other side.

When someone lacks evidence to support their claims they turn to insults and other logical fallacies. Here are a few examples:

       AD HOMINEM FALLACY:

* This one is the most common one. It translates as "against the man," it is also known as the personal attack fallacy, or name-calling fallacy. This happens when someone criticizes the other person instead of their point of view.

           STRAW MAN FALLACY

* A straw man fallacy is when someone takes the argument, or point of another person, twists it, or exaggerates it in an excessive manner, and then criticizes the extreme twist as though it were the original speaker's actual claim.

          BANDWAGON FALLACY:

* This is the fundamental fallacy of democracy, which is the belief that views that are popular are always correct.

        EMOTIONAL APPEALS:

* This is any attempt to influence an argument based on emotions rather than the strength of the supporting facts. This is usually demonstated through crying, or anger. In such cases we encourage you to raise your points, instead of raising your voice.

                RED HERRING:

* This usually refers to shifting the topic in the middle of a discussion so that we begin debating a peripheral subject instead of the main or actual issue.

                DOGMATISM:

* The assumption is that those who disagree with you are “biased”,or "Vakarasika" while you are “objective”.

Just because you disagree with someone's perspective doesn't mean they are ignorant on the topic, it simply means they have a different viewpoint. All you need to do is present your own points just as they have done.

That's one reason why I turn off comments on some of my posts. It's not that I don't welcome different opinions, I do, but only if they are expressed in a respectful manner. Remember I only debate the wise and block the rest.

*******

It is said that the communism spread like a forest fire in Russia and that part of the world in the 1900s because communists members were encouraged to join all manner of organisations. Once they are members they were instructed to be as disruptive as they could,  force many to resign and thus destroy the organisation from within.

It is no exaggeration that Zanu PF has perfected the communist dirty tactics and has used the state institutions to enforce its will. It is tempting to resign and let Zanu PF thugs do as they damn well please but that is exactly what landed us in this hell-hole and, it must be said, will keep us there. Like it or not Zanu PF is using all the dirty tricks above and worse to be disagreeable and disruptive; we must engage the regime and fight to restore sanity and rule of law.

“It’s not my fault that you're blinded from the truth.”

Well now that the usual incessant “I am being insulted” whimpering is on pause, let’s see if we can focus of core issues.

I will restate my core position:

    1) that MDC/CCC leaders sold out by failing to implement even one token reforms in 24 years including 5 in the GNU and hence the reason why Zanu PF continues to blatant rig elections

    2) that MDC/CCC leaders have been participating in flawed elections knowing fully well that the process “is so flawed, so illegal that the only rational step was to withdraw, participating would give the election (and therefore the results and Zanu PF legitimacy) credibility” to quote David Coltart. Still they participated out of greed.

    3) that MDC/CCC have connived with Zanu PF to con the public into participating in flawed elections, making outrageous claims of winning RIGGED elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship and the suffering of the masses for a share of the spoils of power.

So please point out which part(s) of my statement are not true! You cannot accuse me of being “blinded from the truth” without offering an iota of evidence to back up your accusation. Here is you chance to redeem yourself!

Saviour Kasukuwere has been rubbing his hands in glee to see Mnangagwa and his Second Republic fail for he now see this as a chance for him and his G40 friends to be "given a chance"! The tragedy is there are some Zimbabweans foolish and gullible enough to believe him. When will we ever learn!

  3. President Emmerson Mnangagwa says the entry of the Hyatt Group into Zimbabwe's hotel sector is testimony of the confidence investors have in the country.

The President, who officiated at the rebranding of the hotel from Miekles to Hyatt Regency Hotel, The Miekles, was impressed with the new look of the hotel following the refurbishment work carried out, saying the hotel can now compete with any other international hotel.

    Zanu PF rigged 2023 elections.

As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state, the country will never have any meaningful economic recovery much less perform at its real potential. Never! All this wittering about Zimbabwe becoming an upper middle income nation by 2030 is just daydreaming. Vision 2030 is mirage by moon shine!

  4. This is a real nightmare. The regime is reducing inflationary pressure by making it difficult to get cash!

Zanu PF is scared of the ZiG losing its value against the foreign currency the regime is resorting to all manner of unorthodox measures to stop the run on the ZiG including making the currency as rare as gold-dust. One has to queue for hours to get a few ZiGs, for example! Needless to say this is causing untold hardship and, it must be said, for no economic gain. This kiya kiya will never work!

Gukurahundi allowed Zanu PF to impose the dreaded de facto one-party dictatorship and we have been down this road these last 44 years with disastrous consequences. We should fought tooth and nail to stop Zanu PF taking us down this road, we should have turned back during the 2008 to 2013 GNU when we had the best chance to end the dictatorship; we did no such thing.

After 44 years of rigged elections and bad governance, how many more years are we going to allow Zanu PF to drag us deeper and deeper into this hell-on-earth?

"Leadership is chosen by God, not the country!" said Chamisa. This is nonsense! Are you saying Mnangagwa did NOT rig the 2023 elections, God chose him?

The people of Zimbabwe have risked all to elected MDC/CCC leaders for the primary purpose they would implement the democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging elections. Zanu PF has continued to blatantly rig elections precisely because Chamisa et al have failed to implement even one token reform in 24 years, including 5 in the GNU. Of course, Chamisa is lying that God chose Mnangagwa; he is blaming God for CCC's betrayal, greed and incompetence.

God has never ever been in Chamisa's hare-brain winning in RIGGED elections strategies. And it is blasphemous to drag God into these lies and betrayals. Chamisa must stop this nonsense!

“4am and you are already on Chamisa's throat?”

He did lie about plugging all the vote rigging loop hole and now he must account for it. You were foolish to believe him and so you do not want to be reminded that you are a fool. Well you were foolish to believe the idiotic lies and an even bigger fool who is burying his head in Chamisa's backside and pretend he never lied!

The days of blind loyalty are over and those who continue this foolish habit will have their backside kicked raw. They have allowed the country to be dragged into this mess, this must now stop.

Clean Inn Service, what kind of a name is that? You do not want to use you real name because even you know that you are a nincompoop defending the indefensible. Well you cannot hide from me and my boot. Nincompoops be ware!

“You are amazingly unrelenting in attacking ZANU PF. You were hopping that Neville was to get bail and you get armed attacking the judiciary but now you are almost in Mutsvangwas' corner hopping that your sympathy can cause some internal raucus in ZANU PF Party and gvt.”

Chris Mutsvangwa (was) is a Zanu PF thug who did not care about truth or the suffering of others, why should I have any allegiance to such a thug. What am I pointing to here is the selective application of the law, which the thug denied was happening all these years. You are free to read into that what you want, I do not concern myself with such trivial! Whether there is raucous in Zanu PF or not is not my concern.

Zimbabwe's ruling elite, on both sides of the political divide, have deliberately kept the masses poor, frightened, ignorant, naive and gullible for the purpose of exploiting them and their vote. Universal suffrage should have been a blessing it is now one of the many curses to befall this nation.

Was that the reason why you believed Chamisa's idiotic nonsense about plugging all vote rigging loop holes - because Wilbert did not tell you it was nonsense? Do you always have to tell the world how stupid you are, you doing it with every comment you post!

    Thank you!

One of the things Zanu PF has done is stifle all meaningful debate and democratic discourse. We have been brainwashed to accept and follow political leaders blindly like sheep to the slaughter.

In a healthy and functioning democracy, all those who have held, are holding or aspire to hold public office must be accountable to the people. In Zimbabwe to politicians have the power and control over the people so much so it is the politicians who are holding the people to account. It is the tail wagging the dog.

Indeed, anyone who dares to hold political leaders like Chamisa to account have often found themselves under attack by the over zealous supporters who believe leaders are infallible, untouchable demigods who must be worshiped. Many a critic have been forced into silence.

Let me say it here and now and for the record. All those who have held, are holding or aspire to hold public office must be accountable to the people - this is not negotiable. In short, all leaders are accountable! Handizivi muti onoera sanhu!

  14. @ Baba Sama

Chamisa is not an infallible, untouchable demigod and per se must be democratic accountable to the people like everyone else in public office. Why is asking Chamisa to account for lying about plugging vote rigging loop hole tantamount to hating him? We cannot afford your personality cult nonsense as a nation, especially now with the country is a serious economic and political mess!

Zanu PF has imposed on the nation the culture of intolerance, stifling debate and all democratic discourse and competition. This must end. We must start by embracing the view that for a healthy and functioning democracy, all those who have held, are holding or aspire to hold public office must be democratically accountable to the people - this is not negotiable! "Handizivi muti unoera sanhu!" as one would say in Shona.

“Chamisa haachina party take take naye, hatimbonzwi uchitaura about other opposition leaders, even akabirira ma elections wacho hautaure nezvake, asi unomutya kani.”

I have asked Chamisa to account for conning millions of Zimbabweans to participate in last year’s elections knowing fully well that doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the nation’s suffering. He knew he was lying about plugging all vote rigging lop holes.

I do not care if he has resigned from CCC and do not care if there are 100 000 other opposition leaders out there; he must account for what he did!

“Those in power are busy looting no accountability but you are quiet about it.”

Zanu PF would not still be in power today if MDC/CCC leaders had not sold out and implemented the reforms and/or stopped participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy.

We are not going to end the Zanu PF dictatorship without first stopping Zanu PF rigging elections and hence the reason why we must get competent opposition who will get the reform implemented. This is all too complicated for a simpleton like you, I know; still it would be wrong to let a simpleton set the national agenda much less hold the nation to ransom. I am setting the national agenda and not you!

Getting competent opposition who will implement the reforms is the number one issue on the national agenda.

Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friends have been asked to account for:

    1) failure to implement even one reform in 24 years including 5 in the GNU out of greed and thus allowing Zanu PF to continue to rig elections

    2) they participation in flawed elections knowing Zanu PF was rigging and that participating would give Zanu PF legitimacy but doing regardless out of greed.

    3) conning the public to participate in flawed elections to perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship and the suffering of the people.

Chamisa's cheeky response that he is "enlightened (hence his regular use of #Godisinit!) and you are not" is an insult and NOT an answer. His religious claims are his own but holding public office he is, per se, accountable to the people for what he did, failed to do and for his damned lies!

God was never ever in any of these treasonous betrayals and lies because God does not rejoice to see millions living in abject poverty. Leave God out of your greed and incompetence.

You will account for what you did and failed to do, you are not an untouchable demigod as your Chamisa Chete Chete supporters would have you believe you are!

“U are the nincompoop Mukori...just useless guy…no one was coerced to vote for Chamisa...leave him alone....you want to ride on his back to try to be relevant... and you will never be…”

I never said he coerced anyone to vote for him. I said he conned the ignorant, naive and gullible into participating in the flawed elections because they were foolish enough to believe his idiotic lies on having winning in RIGGED elections strategies.

Chamisa held and aspired to hold public office and, per se, is accountable. I am dismissing your idiotic notion that he is an infallible demigod born out of the Chamisa Chete Chete personality cult foolishness with the contempt it deserve.

Zimbabwe is not going to be dragged into yet another utterly foolish elections to perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship and the suffering of millions just because some idiots will not accept Chamisa is a mere mortal. Enough of this madness!
