"With immediate effect, I no longer have anything to do with CCC!" Is this the end of "Change Champion in Chief" epoch! W Mukori

"With immediate effect, I no longer have anything to do with CCC!” announced Nelson Chamisa.

Could this be the turning point in Zimbabwe’s turbulent and chaotic political history? I for one, would like to hope so!

Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friends have proven beyond all doubt that they are corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent. This point was settled beyond all doubt when they failed to implement even one meaningful reform in 5 years of the GNU. But to those with the propensity to see what is not there, the point was never settled; they ignored all the evidence of failure to come up with counter narrative from falsehoods turning Chamisa and company into infallible demigods.

These last two years Chamisa has been called “Change Champion in Chief”, for example. A title made popular by Chief Svosve and his  Change Radio and lapped up by the overzealous and unquestioning CCC wildebeest herd. Nothing could be more ironic and self-mockingly given Chamisa and company have failed to bring about even one token reform in 23 years including 5 years in the 2008 to 2013 GNU.

Neither Chief Svosve nor any of the herd could name one token reform “Change Champion in Chief” has ever brought; how can the name something that is not there. And all those who have dared to point out this simple historic fact that MDC/CCC leaders have failed to deliver even one token change in 23 years have earned for themselves the wrath of the CCC propagandists, apologists and the herd alike.

The announcement that Chamisa has stepped down as CCC leader (had lost control of the party since Sengezo Tshabangu successfully recalled CCC elected officials) will come as a shock to the herd who had followed him blindly like sheep to the slaughter all these years. One hopes this is the the kick in the backside that will force the herd to finally think for themselves, to acknowledge that Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friends are not just fallible mortals but corrupt and incompetent ones.

Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have corrupt and incompetent leaders, on both sides of the political divide, and some ignorant and naive voters who elected these buffoons into power and kept them there. Is Chamisa’s fall from his phoney Change Champion in Chief patch be the reality check that forced Zimbabweans to finally see and treat the country’s politicians as fallible human beings wholly culpable of being corrupt, incompetent, vote rigging, murderer and all manner of devilish intrigue!

    “THE WAY FORWARD

RETURNING ZIMBABWE TO LEGITIMACY AND MAJORITY RULE.
To fix the legitimacy problem and to return Zimbabwe to majority rule we need all-inclusive politics for everyone and embark on comprehensive political, electoral and constitutional reforms to pave way and create a platform for peace, tolerance, reconciliation, unity and prosperity. We must get rid of toxicity, hate and selfishness. Leaders in public office must serve and not be served. Government must operate on the basis of truth, respect, accountability, responsibility and granting dignity to all citizens.

    THE CCC
As you may be aware, the CCC idea was an idea we prayerfully conceived. The original idea meant to place Our God and the Citizens at the center of all decision making. This test was not passed and the purpose was not served.
The original CCC idea has however been contaminated, bastardized, hijacked by ZANU PF through the abuse of State institutions. CCC has not been aligned to its founding Purpose and Mandate. Further, CCC has now been rendered an extension of and been taken over by ZANU PF. CCC has, to all intents and purposes, been criminally handed over to ZANU PF.
Our politics has been defiled by schemes of personal aggrandizement upon a runaway pursuit of politics of positions, title, benefits, trinkets and trappings of office. A contaminated, bastardized, hijacked CCC cannot deliver a New Great Zimbabwe! But then God’s grace is sufficient! Indeed God is in it.
However, it is not like Zanu Pf is unconquerable, this Zanu Pf you see today, you will see it no more. Our God has opened a new way. Unfortunately, the road is narrow and I have to meet the demands of my assignment. The citizens of Zimbabwe will be set free from the hands of oppression.
On account of the absence of any plan by the incumbent to resolve the Zimbabwe crisis, the solution to the problems affecting our beautiful and beloved country. Zimbabwe must return to legitimacy and majority happiness.
We as the citizens are duty bound to find lasting answers to our perennial national questions. With what has happened to CCC, we need honest and accountable citizens in leadership. Stand ready to serve!
I have been approached by war veterans, women’s groups, youth groups, church leaders, traditional leaders, trade unions, civil society and even various leaders on the continent on the ways to find a lasting solution to our problems as a nation.

  2. The Conservative Party is one of the oldest political parties in human history, it was founded in 1834 from the Tory Party, a loosely organised political factions that first emerged in 1679. The secret of the longevity of political parties in stable democratic nation is the party commitment to rule of law, justice and well defined ideology. Political parties in failed states like Zimbabwe hardily ever survive beyond the life of the founding father, especially if they fail to get into power and hang on to it.

Nelson Chamisa announce the formation CCC in January 2022 and exactly 2 years later he announced its demise. Hardly surprising given the party had no constitution, no structure, no elected officials, no ideology, they did not care about good governance, etc.; the one thing uniting the party leaders was their greed.

CCC participated in the 2023 elections knowing Zanu PF was rigging and that their participating would give Zanu PF legitimacy. Still they participated because they also knew that Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats as bait.

Abandoning CCC to form another political party will not deliver the reforms and the free elections as long as the new party is led by the same corrupt and incompetent dunderheads recycled from CCC who were in turned recycled from MDC A and MDC! Real change will come from the people waking up to the futility of calling a failed leader Change Champion in Chief when they have failed to deliver in a token change in 23 years!

“Mr. Chamisa must cease his sacrilegious actions, and refrain from tarnishing the divine name of the Almighty by linking God's hallowed name to his own inadequacies and repeated failures. Throughout history, God has remained a deity of unwavering success and triumph. Therefore, it is preposterous to suggest that God would align Himself with the perpetual failures embodied by Chamisa. God's involvement in a matter does not hinge on the proclamations of Chamisa or his supporters. It is essential to remind the citizens of Zimbabwe that God is sovereign and omnipotent.”

This is all true. I would say one should leave those naive and gullible enough to believe Chamisa’s lies to do so. As long as the nation continue to have such naive and gullible voters then we all know the country has no chance of ever becoming a viable democracy.

As for Chamisa’s sacrilege, God Almighty knows of it and let’s let Him deal with the upstart!

  4. When Chamisa launched CCC he made the same promise of having a clean party free from Zanu PF influence and today he is abandoning CCC because it is compromised! What hope is there that the new party would fair any better particularly since it will have the same corrupt and incompetent leaders recycled from CCC, MDC A and MDC including Chamisa himself!

CCC MPs, Senators and Councillors took up their gravy train seats last year even after SADC and AU had condemned the election process as a farce to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed. Today they are resigning from CCC because they know their beacon is fried - the Tsvabangu faction will consider them a Chamisa loyalist and recall. No one will be fooled they participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and are giving up the ill-gotten gravy train seat out of mythical political principles!

  5. Last time ALL those involved in NERA made a big song and dance about demanding reforms and yet when Zanu PF ignored them completely they ALL participated in the flawed elections because they were after the few gravy train Zanu PF was offering as bait. Many of those in NERA today were in NERA in the past. Is this not history repeating itself?

“I am still waiting for a list of "tokens of reforms" which were supposed to be implemented and were not.”

    My apology.
