Chamisa to form new party, "not giving up!" Voters should, after 23 years and not even one reform implemented. W Mukori

Nelson Chamisa’s resignation as leader of CCC has received worldwide coverage.

“Mr Chamisa, a 45-year-old Christian pastor and lawyer, is expected to set up a new party. He said that "giving up or giving in is not an option,” reported BBC.

“It is not clear how many of the CCC's remaining MPs and councillors will follow him.”

Zanu PF has never honoured its promise to hold free, fair and credible elections from the word go. In the country’s first elections in 1980, the party made it clear “the bush war would continue if the party did not win the election. Of course, the people voted to end the bush war.

The 1985 election took place in the middle of the Gukurahundi massacre whose primary purpose was to force PF Zapu, Zanu PF’s main political opponent, to give up its identity. PF Zapu leaders finally relented and signed the 1987 Unity Accord opening the door for the imposition of the de facto one-party, Zanu PF, state.

The 1990 and 1995 elections were not free, fair and credible and Zanu PF’s excuse was that multi-party democracy threatened the peace, unity and development brought about by the 1987 Unity accord. It was just a feeble excuse for denying the people their fundamental right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country.

By the late 1990s the nation had come to the conclusion that Zanu PF would never honour the people’s right to a meaningful vote and so the people will have to risk the regime’s wrath by electing opposition members whose primary task was to implement the democratic reforms designed to stop Zanu PF rigging elections. Alas! Zanu PF blatantly rigged the 2023 elections proof that the MDC/CCC opposition leaders have failed to stop Zanu PF rigging elections. Why?

The historic facts of why MDC/CCC leaders have sold out by failing to implement even one token reform in 23 years including the 5 years in the GNU, are well documented. And how, since the GNU, they have participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship out of greed.

“While he (Chamisa) does enjoy significant support, especially in urban areas, his critics say Mr Chamisa's weak leadership led to deep rifts in the opposition, and that has only helped President Emmerson Mnangagwa cement his grip on power,” continued the BBC report.

Whilst many outsiders including SADC leaders have noted with dismay that it is MDC/CCC leaders greed and incompetence that have helped Zanu PF stay in power these last 23 years. The outsiders have also noted that the majority of Zimbabweans have failed to comprehend the opposition leaders’ blatant betrayal of common cause of implementing the reforms and hence the why CCC continue to enjoy significant public support.

Up to the 1995, elections could be viewed as a simple binary choice between Zanu PF, the bad guys, and opposition, the good guys. By 1999 a new level of complexity was added, the opposition primary task was to implement the democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging elections.

After 23 years, including 5 in the GNU and not even one token reform in place; it is clear MDC/CCC leaders are corrupt and incompetent and not up to the set task of implementing the reforms. The reason why many Zimbabweans still continue to support MDC/CCC leaders is because these individuals are simple minded people whose view elections as a simple binary choice of Zanu PF vs opposition, the bad guys vs the good guys.

Accepting that the MDC/CCC opposition must be judged on their ability to implement the democratic reforms demands thinking outside the box of the binary choice - a quantum leap which, unfortunately, many have failed to make.

When Nelson Chamisa launched CCC in January 2022 he promised to cleanse the new party of all the “rotten apples” in MDC A. Today, two years latter he is having to abandon CCC has been "contaminated" and "hijacked" by Zanu PF. The truth is CCC has failed to deliver any meaningful changed just like MDC A and MDC itself before it because MDC leaders are corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent. They have proven this beyond all reasonable doubt during the GNU when they failed to implement even one token reform.

Chamisa’s new political party will not implement any democratic reforms just as CCC failed because the new party will be led by the same corrupt and incompetent leaders recycled from CCC. You cannot make a silk purse out of a sower’s ear.

"Giving up or giving in is not an option!” boasted Chamisa. After 23 years including 5 in the GNU and not even one token reform in place, an informed and diligent electorate should have elected some one else a long time ago!

“Hanzi heyo mukana. Nelson asiya zve politics. Chiyi tayi tiwonaka ana Wiribheti..🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Chirikuku rwadza ndeche kuti you will have no purpose in life with Chamisa gone from Zim politics.

Chimbo yedzayi tiwona ka nhai ma analyst.”

Zimbabwe is a failed state not only because we have buffoons in Zanu PF and CCC but also because we have ignorant and naive voters like you who have elected and kept the buffoons in power. So the demise of Chamisa and his CCC will not deliver and meaningful change if the new party is going to contest flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy, etc.

Getting a simpleton like you to see the bigger picture is a serious challenge!

“The likes of Hopewell,Chiwenga and Jonathan Moyo .There is the chance to come in CCC.And do what you always say Chamisa can't do.
Here is your chance to make change in Zimbabwe.

Come forward and the brave you are.”

If the electorate are so ignorant that the worshiped Chamisa as Change Champion in Chief when he had failed to implement even one token reform in 23 years do you think his stepping down will be enough to make these ignorant voters wise and diligent?

A corrupt and incompetent opposition is only part of the problem having an electorate so ignorant and naive to follow these corrupt leaders blindly is another part of the problem.

Of course, you believe he can bring change regardless of the fact he has failed to deliver even one token change in 23 years including 5 in the GNU. It comes naturally to some people to follow blindly!

  4. Chamisa and company were elected to implement the democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging elections, they have failed to implement even one reform and thus a re helping Zanu PF stay in power. It is all too complex for you to understand still that is the reality we are dealing with here!

“My problem with you is putting your trust in a guy you don’t believe in as things stand you and chamisa don’t have political parties why don’t you take advantage of chamisa demise to start a vibrant party which will fight for reforms before elections you are so sure that chamisa will start something that can still shake shake the corridors of power and you are sure hakuna benzi rinokutevera.”

Zimbabwe’s problems are not just that of corrupt and incompetent buffoon are in power but we have ignorant and naive voters who elect and keep the buffoons in power. If the voters are so naive they believe Chamisa is winning in rigged elections lies they will believe someone else even if Chamisa was removed.

“It’s not about the name of the party or the face of chamisa or his charisma or his oratory skills...the issue is abt wat Wilbert is always talking abt..Political reforms..simple…”

This should be obvious by now but Alas it is not. One has to explain this over and over gain.

  7. Until 2 days ago many Zimbabweans believed in Chamisa and his CCC party and would have followed him to the end of the earth. Two days ago he admitted the party Zanu PF in all but name and so the masses had risked all to perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship. If these were not egg-heads they would be angry with Chamisa for misleading them and even more angry with themselves for being so foolish they never even suspected they were being misled.

The new party Chamisa is promising will have the same corrupt and incompetent leaders, reshuffled like playing cards, and many will greet it with the usual blind zeal and euphoria. Those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat the same foolishness over and over again. Such is our destiny!

  8. Tshabangu rose on the background of three things

TRIBALISM entitled bitter Ndebele comrades who banded together to rebel against Nelson Chamisa because they lost ground in Matebeleland.
I speak of Bhebhe, Guebuza, Khuphe, Kucasa Phulu, Albert Mhlanga and the likes.

    DISGRUNTLED ENTITLED ERSTWHILE CADRES
His rise was aided by the common desire to punish Advocate Nelson Chamisa for Bereka Mwana loses by the like of Biti, Mafume, Herbert Gomba, Shonhe, Marova etal

This cabal wanted to control City of Harare by all means necessary. The loss of Harare East by Tendai Biti and the loss of mayoral position by Mafume did not sit well with this cabal

On his part, Herbert Gomba having been recalled by Douglas Mwonzora earlier on thought Nelson Chamisa should consider him an automatic for Mayoral post and wanted his protection from Bereka Mwana but he ran away from Womberaishe Nhende in Glen Norah.

    ZANU PF INFILTRATION
Zanu PF required 2/3 majority in parliament and they had make sure that they get it by all means possible and jumped in to finance Tshabangu.
Tshabangu was heavily funded by Scoty Sakupwanya and Shacky Timburwa hence the Mabvuku recalls. Scott is now MP through the back door and Timburwa is contesting February 3 in Mash West.

It is important to remember that there was no Tshabangu until 27 September 2023 after these entities converged meetings in order to strategise for the destruction of Nelson Chamisa.

It is therefore incorrect to claim that Chamisa destroyed CCC party. Chamisa simply moves away from the toxic and infiltrated organisation while they still needed him to validate their claims and ride on his popularity.

    They destroyed CCC not Chamisa.
All this true and none of it would have happened if Chamisa listened and founded the party on solid democratic practices with a constitution, party structures and properly elected officials.

There are those who continue to support Chamisa regardless of his hand in this mess that is to be expected, they have failed to understand the importance of the constitution, etc. and have always followed leaders blindly. They cannot stop now!

A healthy and functioning democracy, be it at a party or national level, demands an informed and diligent electorate and not one that is so stupid many even pride themselves in their idiotic stupidity. They are given to worship leaders as infallible demigod, even those with a proven track record as corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless, and they are very angry with any who dare question their demigods!

  9. Lay down the rules of the game and enforce them in the olympic spirit of open and honest competition and everyone will be pushed to excel. And quality will prevail and win the day!You do not get that in rigged elections where even the opponents are participating knowing fully well the process is flawed and participating will give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. Still they participate out of greed.

And when it is clear it was foolish to participate in flawed elections and the damage is done, the village idiots admits CCC was Zanu PF in all but name and resign to form a new party with the same deadwood, reshuffled like playing cards. The brain dead supporters follow Chamisa no questions asked as if he is as innocent as a rose!

Zimbabwe will never have quality leaders at a party or national level as long as the nation has egg-heads for voters! Never!

You are lashing at me because I have dared to question Chamisa’s competence and your foolishness in blindly following him over the years. I am now public enemy number one!

What a simpleton you have not understood the problem and yet are jumping the gun and coming up with idiotic solutions. We are is this mess because the voters, like you, were conned by MDC/CCC into believing they would bring about the changes we needed. If you do not understand why you were so easily conned what makes you believe you will not be conned again?

There are many out there who will tell you they will deliver a democratic Zimbabwe on a silver platter just as Chamisa has promised these last 23 years. You foolishly believed Chamisa and will do so again.

One of Zimbabwe’s curses is having village idiots like you and to crown it giving them the vote! One cannot reason with village idiots like you because they think they are wiser than King Solomon and hide their stupidity behind unwarranted aggression!

“Madii kuzviita imi?” What a foolish question!

If you did not have Boxer, the horse in Animal Farm, “Napoleon is always right!” mentality, you would be demanding some answers from Chamisa. Why, for example, did he mislead you and millions of others out there into believing CCC would deliver the democratic changes the nation has been dying for only to admit now that the party was Zanu PF in all but name? What good is it for him to now resign from the party when millions participated in the flawed 2023 elections and gave vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy? The damage has been done and cannot be undine!

If you were not such a first class village idiot, you would be angry with yourself for having followed Chamisa blindly all these years!

But being the village idiot you are, you are lashing at at me for having dared to question Chamisa’s breath-taking incompetence in failing to implement the democratic reforms and stop Zanu PF rigging elections. I am now public enemy number one and Zanu PF is my party! Some of the foolishness one has to put up with is shocking.

With so many village idiots it is no wonder Zimbabwe is a failed state! There is no reasoning with these fools!

So you will follow whoever you are told to follow? Was that why you have followed Chamisa blindly all these years?

You should think for yourself and not to be following leaders blindly, especially those like Chamisa and Mnangagwa with a well documented track record as being corrupt and incompetent . Think - that is a tall order for such as one whose brain has all but ossified into fat!

  14. Zimbabwe is a failed state because nincompoops have been voting buffoons into power, of course I have plenty to say to both the buffoons and the nincompoops! So you think because you are a nincompoop you will never be held to account for your stupidity!

You are actually talking away the last glimmer of hope they have. Chamisa is a no go area to many. They will follow him to hell and back. So it's pointless to criticize this man. You will create enemies.”

Actually that is exactly why the country is in a mess and its stuck there. Chamisa has already proven beyond all doubt that he is corrupt and incompetent and it speaks volumes of those who still regard him as the answer - they are brain dead!

You are always in a hurry to move on, what lessons have you learned from the decades of supporting Chamisa blindly? What makes you so sure that you will not be conned into following blindly the next buffoons who come along!

As long as we have an ignorant and naive electorate there will be no shortage of con men and thugs queuing to take advantage of such rich pickings! They do not need an encourage from anyone to throw their hat in the ring. Don’t flatter yourself in thinking you are the one inviting people to participate!

Blessed are those you see and perceive; who hear and comprehend. And curse are we who see but never perceive; hear, but never comprehend. After 43 years of rigged elections and we still have no clue what it takes to hold free and fair elections.

“One of my first promises to you was to always be honest, transparent and accountable in my decisions. It is in this spirit that I wish to lay out my reasons for leaving the Citizen’s Coalition for Change and resigning from Parliament with immediate effect.

When the CCC was launched in January of 2022, it was with the shared understanding that this new movement would be underpinned by the core value of being citizen-centred. It would put the welfare and aspirations of constituents like you at the heart of all decision-making. Our goal was to build a new Zimbabwe based on a blueprint of dignity, prosperity and opportunity for everyone.

We agreed to run under the leadership of President Nelson Chamisa as we sought to introduce a new way of doing politics. Central to this objective was a belief that, in all things, we would put the people first.”

You set your mind to participate in the 2018 and 2023 elections knowing fully well the process is flawed and participating will give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. Still you participated because you also knew Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate. Even after SADC and AU denounced the 2023 elections as a farce, you still went ahead and took up your gravy train seats and thus sending out a contrary message, that the elections were free and fair. Where were your values and principles then?

You have been associated with the Chamisa faction too closely to ever be accepted in the Tshabangu faction, the die was cast and you either resigned or was going to be recalled. You have chosen to jump before you were pushed; just spare us all the empty rhetorics and heroics, we are not fools!

“Vasara vacho vaunoda will deliver the reforma you want, you are a pathetic writer, maybe you write seated on a toilet chamber.”

Was the purpose of the fight for independence not freedom, liberty and justice? 43 years after independence millions of our people are still living in abject poverty as the nation sink deeper and deeper into hopelessness and despair under this tyrannical and corrupt Zanu PF dictatorship. Zanu PF has rigged elections denying the people a meaningful say in the governance of the country. With its iron grip on power the regime has done as it damn well pleased looting the nation’s resources and dragging us all deeper and deeper into the abyss.

By the late 1990s the nation made the important decision to elect opposition leaders whose primary task was to implement the democratic reform designed to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections. Zanu PF has just rigged the 2023 elections, proof that the MDC/CCC leaders have failed to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections.

So now it is my reforms and not reforms we should all be fighting for!

Calling for reforms and for free, fair and credible elections so that we can finally end the curse of rigged elections and bad governance has earned me the “pathetic writer” abuse and worse!

Of course, it is very sad that we have individuals like you who have no clue what is going on and yet consider themselves wiser than King Solomon. They have elected buffoons into power on both sides of the political divide and use all manner of violence to defend the buffoons and your own stupidity. Reasons, fact and reality count for nothing.

A healthy and functioning democracy demands an informed and diligent electorate and not one whose heads are full on mud! Giving village idiot like you the vote is one of the curses to this nation and we are paying dearly for it!

We should not be arguing about reforms, free elections, etc.; these are the bread and butter issues. And yet we are not only arguing I am being abused to calling for these things.

It is possible that it is not your fault you an an idiot; some people are born stupid. Still, it is not a blessing to the nation that you are an idiot!

“Mukuru imi hamudi kusekererwa. Makutuka vanhu vanovhota imi mugere kuchando ikoko. Form your own party ine vanhu vari competent motengesa manifesto yenyu vanhu vokuvhoterai or.”

In other words I should not question those in power much less hold the to account until I form my own party. I thought all those in power are accountable to the people regardless of whether they belong to existing parties or not, whether they voted or not, whether they are in Zimbabwe or not, etc., etc.

The very fact that such elementary points are still big issues only goes to show the shallowness of some of our people. Basic human rights like freedom of expression, the right to a meaningful vote, etc. are still big issues to be fought for as they are under threat at every turn!

It took Boxer, the horse in George Orwell’s Animal Farm, the same time it took other animals to learn the alphabet for him to learn the first four letters. It took just as long for him to learn the next four letters but by then he had forgotten the first four letters. It is sad to note there are Zimbabweans who are much, much worse than Boxer.

Zanu PF has just rigged the 2023 elections and so we cannot hold free, fair and credible elections after 43 years of independence and in this day and age. Our efforts to stop Zanu PF rigging elections have not been helped by MDC/CCC leaders who have failed to implement even one token reform in 23 years including 5 years in the GNU.

These political leaders have gotten away with betraying the people of free elections and implementing reforms because most of our people have no clue what the reforms are much less what constitute free, fair and credible elections. It is a hopeless, these people will never ever learn. Never!

“All those in public office are accountable to the people!” That is as incomprehensible as William Shakespeare’s book to some one like Boxer who has failed to master the first four letters of the alphabet!
Poor, poor Zimbabwe! We are a failed state precisely because we have failed to do simple things like agree on the rule of law, respect every citizen’s freedoms and basic rights including the right to a meaningful vote and the right to life. Even now with the country up to her eye-balls sinking in this shit hole of our own making the penny has not dropped. There is no reason to believe it will ever drop.

I am public enemy number one for demanding reforms and an end to the cursed rigged elections and bad governance. In Zimbabwe, that is high treason!

The dog-eat-dog factional fighting in CCC has spared no one, Mahere had to pick a side and could not sit on the fence. She has sided with Chamisa for too long to be accepted by the Tshabangu faction. As for her gravy train seat only those in the Tshabangu camp could keep their seats and so she has resigned before she was recalled! She is trying to make a big song and dance about it pretending she resigned out of principles. Only the naive and gullible will buy that nonsense.

If she was some one who cared about freedom and the rights of the ordinary povo then why did she participate in the 2018 and 2023 elections knowing fully well Zanu PF was rigging and that participating will give Zanu PF legitimacy? She participated because she also knew that Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition. She took up her gravy train seat last year even after SADC and AU had condemned the election as a farce out of greed.

Fadzayi Mahere, a competent and principled politician - yeah right!
