Failure to comprehend CCC's sell out of reforms, even with the benefit of hindsight, is symptomatic of incurable stupidity and worse. W Mukori

“Chounorasiswa ndochiri muruoko. Chirimudumbu unorotwiswa. Hupenzi chifo, unofa nahwo!” (What you hold in your hand you can throw away. What is on your stomach you can vomit. Stupidity is a curse that you will take to your grave!) So goes the Shona adage.

Zimbabwe is a failed state and all because of our own stupidity! I make no apology for saying this because it is true and, more stoically, in the hope that plain talking may force people out of their sloth-like mental slumber.

“Nelson Chamisa is not a god who is immune to mistakes, just like you and me,” argued Solomon Harudzibwi in Bulawayo 24.

“He doesn't owe anyone an opportunity to experiment on your fine strategies or advice.”

The sheer stupidity of our so-call intellectuals is one of factors that has undermined the nation’s efforts to build a healthy and functioning democracy. Ordinarily any society would looks up to its intellectuals to give sound advice and thus keep the nation on the narrow and straight road. But when the intellectuals themselves are stupid and devoid of even common sense, the society is in deep trouble.

MDC/CCC leaders were elected into office with a clearly define task and not with some wishy-washy plan. Ever since the launch of MDC 1999 the people of Zimbabwe have risked livelihoods, life and limb to elect the party’s leaders into power for the primary purpose of implementing the necessary democratic changes to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections.

MDC/CCC leaders have been on the political stage for 23 years including 5 in the GNU and they have not only failed to implement even one token reform but have been participating in flawed elections out of greed. They have even claimed to have winning in rigged election strategies to justify participating and to hide the real reason for doing so - greed. These are all well-documented historic facts.

It is an outrage to dismiss the failure to implement even one token reform during the GNU, for example, as merely “a mistakes”. The two MDC factions in the GNU had 110 MPs, 40 senators, 30 ministers and deputy ministers, 2 Deputy PMs and 1 PM, any one of them could submit the reform proposal, and yet not even one reform proposal was ever submitted. They had five years to do this and still they failed. Of course, this was not a mistake.

Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders with the trappings of high office and, in return, they kicked the reforms out of the window.

“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” boasted Zanu PF cronies during the GNU when asked why MDC leaders were not implemented the reforms.

“I respect Nelson Chamisa for fighting in a space where others have given up either voluntarily or involuntarily cause the terrain is not easy, case in point is Nkosana Moyo, Robert Chapman, Douglas Mwonzora & many more,” continued Solomon.

The respect he is calling for to be accorded to Nelson Chamisa et al for daring to fight Zanu PF is that we, the people must NOT hold him and his friends to democratic account.

If we accept Solomon’s argument and concede to his demands then we extend the same privileges to Zanu PF. After all Robert Mugabe, Emmerson Mnangagwa and the rest of the Zanu PF leaders faced an even tougher opponent in the white colonial regime that Zanu PF.

Indeed, Zanu PF has rigged elections these last 43 years and has used the same excuses why the regime must not be held to democratic account - “Zanu PF fought the liberation war!”

Of course, it is foolish to have fought to end Zanu PF tyrannical and autocratic rule these last 43 years and before we have accomplished that objective we are already creating a new autocracy.

All those who hold public office must be democratically accountable to the people - no exception, no if and no but!

Establishing a healthy and functioning democratic Zimbabwe should be a walk in the park, after all we do not have to reinvent the wheel only to apply it! 43 years after independence and in this day and age, 2 500 years after the Greeks bequeath democracy to humanity and we in Zimbabwe are still failing to hold free, fair and credible elections.

The country’s ruling elite and intellectuals do not even know what constitute free, fair and credible elections, for Pete’s sake. What hope is there that my Auntie in the rural back waters will know any better. This is the damning testimonial of our stupidity and why we are seemingly - until we snap out of this stupor - incapable of self governing!

“At a time when Zimbabwean hospitals have no medicines like paracetamol and no equipment, Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube has agreed to requests by Zimbabwean Members of Parliament, requests that include buying them brand new Landcruisers.

210 elected MPs minus the proportional representation MPs is 210 Landcruisers multiplied by US$400,000.

That is US$84 million for the 210 elected MPs.
Zimbabwe’s biggest hospital only has ONE maternity theatre built in 1977.
US$88 million would build 2270 maternity theatres.”

    The looting continues!

“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.

Of course, Coltart was right, CCC participated in the 2023 elections out of greed and even after AU, SADC and our own ZHRC dismissed the election process as flawed and illegal CCC officials still went ahead and took up their gravy train seats. The recalls by Sengezo Tshabangu have thrown them in a panic many are literally supergluing themselves to their gravy train seat!

Zanu PF knows of the opposition leaders’ greed and has exploited the weakness to turn the opposition into just another Zanu PF department in all but name.

The real tragedy here is that many Zimbabweans have yet to admit it that ever since the GNU debacle CCC leaders have been running with the povo hare and hunting with the Zanu PF hounds. CCC will never deliver any meaningful change. Never!

“Great job- you are speaking to yourself- you can’t even write a sentence without saying Chamisa or Tsvangirayi. You blame them for Zimbabwe’s situation more than you blame Zanu PF as a collective .”

Zanu PF was never ever going to reform itself out of office and therefore it nonsensical to pretend that the party was ever going to submit any democratic reform proposals during the GNU. The task of submitting reform proposals was left to MDC leaders.

There were no fewer than 110 MDC MPs, 40 senators, 30 ministers and deputy ministers, 2 Deputy PMs and 1 PM, any one one of them could submit a reform proposal. They had five years - not five days, weeks or months, FIVE YEARS - to submit the reform proposal and they failed to submit even one. Not even one!

MDC/CCC’s number one task in this country is to implement the democratic reforms. After 23 years including 5 in the GNU they have not only failed to implement even one reform but worse still they have given up on reforms and have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy for a share of the gravy train seats.

The most important lesson here for the people of Zimbabwe is that if they are ever going to end the Zanu PF dictatorship, end the curse of rigged elections and end the fail state; we must look for competent men and women who will implement the reforms. CCC will never do it.

People must stop listen to CCC lies from the crows in Change Radio promising change and wittering about Change Champion in Chief and yet cannot name even one change the party has brought in 23 years.

Cornered the chief of crows pretends the task of implementing reforms was shared between MDC/CCC and Zanu PF and so must be the blame. The idiot does not even realise sharing the blame for selling out on reforms does not solve the problem - we still need the reforms implemented and since CCC will not do it they must go!

Shame! You still do not get it do you. How will starting my own party solve the nation's problem if the culture is those who form their own party are not accountable to the people. This is the culture in Zanu PF and now in CCC that they are not accountable to the people because they fought in the liberation war or we are in the trenches facing Zanu PF.

Nations get the government they deserve and we in Zimbabwe certainly deserve this Zanu PF dictatorship complete with its entourage of corrupt and incompetent opposition parties - all 130 of them at the last count. And you still want more!

“Form your own party, leave CCC alone!” Yeah to what end and purpose!

How is it possible that anyone can be so shallow, thick and slow they cannot even realise that the political system in Zimbabwe is not working. We cannot even hold free, fair and credible elections because many our there have no clue what constitutes free and fair elections! Their brain has ossified into fat after decades of sloth-like mental inactivity!

“They say an honest man will never be cheated! Only those given to unbridled avarice easily fall into allures of the snare of hunter and get entangled in the process! Honestly this the story of opposition during and just before the GNU .....and the same narrative continues to recur .. will even continue to do so as long opposition remains under the current sanctimonious leadership! Mwonzora stands out clean and vindicated!”

I agree with you on everything except the last bit. Mwonzora was in the GNU and played his part in the failure to submit even one reform in five years because he too had his snout in the feeding trough. He can never be clean!

    ReplyDelete
  5. @ Danny

“That one you are right thats why i am saying they should come clean if they are serious about governing in the future , the ruling is also spending too much time on focusing on the opposition instead of delivering Zimbabwe from being a poor state.”

Zanu PF has no clue on how to deliver economic prosperity and hence the reason why the party is now spending all its time and wealth on rigging elections and hanging on to power at all cost. It has successfully bribed all the country's key players including the opposition to make sure the party remains in power no matter what.

The key to unravelling the Zanu PF dictatorship is to appoint competent men and women who will implement the democratic reforms. There is no doubt that the best chance ever to do this was during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. It is not only tragic that MDC/CCC leaders wasted this golden opportunity, what makes it worse is that the people themselves are not aware of it, even now with the benefit of hindsight.

Another chance to implement the reforms had arisen out of AU and SADC condemning the 2023 elections but given the ignorance of what happened in the last GNU SADC leaders must have decided it would be pointless pushing for a second GNU.
Zanu PF’s continued rule is guaranteed as long as the party see to it there is no competent opposition appointed to implement reforms. MDC/CCC has had 23 years including 5 in the GNU and they have not implemented even one reform that is the ideal opposition party Zanu PF wants! And it looks like they will have their wish because the people themselves are yet to wake up to the reality that CCC leaders have been running with the povo hare and hunting with the Zanu PF hounds for the last decade at least.

You are right there, it is shocking that even those Zimbabweans with University qualifications from respectable institutions believed Chamisa’s blatant lies of plugging all vote rigging loop holes just to hide the fact CCC was hell bent on participating in the flawed elections out greed. If the intellectual, the country’s creme de la creme, can be so easily conned what more my Auntie in the rural back waters!

Democracy demands an educated and diligent electorate and not an ignorant and gullible lot. Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have some of the stupid and naive populous on earth, not even a university education could cleanse the primeval lawless and idiotic mentality out of them!

  7. This is just a circus! All CCC leaders including Ostallos contested the 2023 elections knowing fully well that the process is flawed, that participating will give Zanu PF legitimacy and they were participating regardless out of greed. They all knew that Chamisa was lying about plugging vote rigging loop holes just to hide their collective greed.

All the winning CCC leaders did not even hesitate to take up their gravy train seats even when AU and SADC election observers dismissed the 2023 elections as a farce.

The factional war in CCC has left leaders like Ostallos who had identified themselves with Chamisa too closely at a loss; they know they cannot switch allegiance now because the Tshabangu faction will never accept them even if they do.

What is laughable here is that Ostallos is now trying to cast himself as a man of honour fighting for democracy and freedom. No MDC/CCC leaders since the GNU debacle can ever claim any moral high ground because their GNU track record and there after show them for what they really are - corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent.

  8. All CCC leaders participated in the 2023 elections knew that the process was flawed, that participating would give Zanu PF legitimacy and still they participated because they also knew that Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate.

All the CCC leaders knew that Chamisa was lying about plugging all the vote rigging loop holes to hide the real reason why they were participating was greed.

Now that there is serious in fighting in CCC as the result of the recalls by Sengezo Tshabangu it is nonsense for any CCC leader to pretend they are fighting for democracy and rule of law when all they are fighting for is their gravy train seat.

    “Chamisa this Chamisa that...hamuna nyaya.”

Like it or not it is MDC/CCC leaders who have allowed Zanu PF to stay in power these last 23 years and counting. If the country wants change then we must change the opposition.

CCC will never implement the reforms required to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections. You will never see this because you have your head buried in Chamisa's back side and your brain starved of oxygen has all but ossified, you cannot think or listen to reason.

All you have ever done all these years is defend Chamisa no matter what. It is a great pity that idiots like you have the vote.

“How ironic to see bloggers spending much of their time discussing what the opposition is doing or not, than what those in power are doing or not.”

What a simpleton! This is a dynamic world and nothing ever stays the same.

MDC leaders had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms which would have stopped Zanu PF rigging the election during the GNU. They failed to implement even one reform in 5 years because Mugabe bribed them with the trappings of high office and, in return, Tsvangirai and company kicked the reforms out of the window.

Ever since the GNU debacle MDC/CCC leaders have participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed. The CCC leaders themselves admit this.

“Look, you can't keep on participating in flawed electoral processes that serve to give big benefits to dictators such as Robert Mugabe. Mugabe has perfected the art of winning elections. So it will be very foolish for the opposition to continue legitimising these sham elections which don't deliver,” said Tendai Biti in a 2015 interview with Isaac Mugabi.

“So you can't continue subjecting Zimbabweans to processes where their hopes just get crushed.”

In short Zanu PF has managed to stay in power during the GNU and beyond because MDC/CCC leaders are corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent. CCC will never ever deliver reforms and free and fair elections. Never! But there are those who like to bury their heads in the sand and pretend Chamisa and company are infallible demigods who have never ever done anything wrong!

The tragedy for Zimbabwe is not so much that CCC leaders are corrupt and incompetent but rather that we have many Zimbabweans out there too ignorant and naive to accept CCC leaders are not just mortal but corrupt and incompetent ones. And to crown it all these gullible citizen have the voice and the vote, they are the one keeping Zanu PF in power in their foolish belief that CCC will win rigged elections.

It is not so much who is in power but who is KEEPING Zanu PF in power, a subtle difference but critical one. After 23 years with not even a token reform in place the subtle difference should be obvious but clearly not to those whose brains have ossified into fat. Sad! Very sad! But there it is, we are a nation of simpleton, Zimbabwe’s curse.

Well all I can say is it is nice to be a village idiot because you have no respect for historic facts - they never sink in!

Yes Zanu PF is the elephant in the room but who has wasted the many opportunity to get it out and who is feeding it and grooming it to encourage it to stay? CCC leaders!

MDC leaders did have the power and opportunity to implement the democratic reforms during the GNU they failed to get even one token reform implemented because they are corrupt and incompetent. You can deny this all you want that will not change the reality or historic facts.

After 23 years, including 5 in the GNU, and not even one token reform in place any one with half a brain should have started questioning MDC/CCC leaders’ competence. Of course if you have a half shilling for a brain it is another matter.

“God is not in the habit of coming down to earth to solve mankind’s problems.”

This becomes even more preeminent when some one repeatedly makes such outrageous claims like “I have plugged all the vote rigging holes!” “God is in it!” To hide the real reason - greed - why he and his party are hell bent on participating in flawed elections they know are flawed and that participating will only give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy.

In this case Chamisa did not even have the common sense to something as basic to stop rigging as deploying election agents at all polling stations even though CCC had the funds for the purpose.

The tragedy for Zimbabwe is that there are many Zimbabweans, including so university educated and professional individual, ignorant and gullible enough to be duped into believing such blatant lies time and time again. Evoking the name of God is enough to impress these simpletons they forget Chamisa is a mere mortal pretending to be divinely inspired for the purpose of deception. Having more political parties will not solve the country's economic and political problems because that is not the problem.

The problem is failing to hold those in public office to democratic account particularly when it is because the people themselves are ignorant dumb and stupid. The people participated in the 2023 elections even after they were warned their participation will only help to give legitimacy to Zanu PF. They were conned by Chamisa's "I have plugged all vote rigging loop holes!" Of course, it was foolish to believe in such idiotic lies!

A healthy and functioning democracy demands an educated and diligent electorate. As long as we have this ignorant, naive and gullible electorate Zimbabwe will remain a failed state.

There has been no political change in the last 23 years because the herd believes MDC/CCC leaders will deliver change although they have failed to bring even one token reform, the herd still believes in CCC. Zanu PF has bribed MDC/CCC leaders to forget the reforms for a share of the spoils of power. The GNU was the get out of jail card; why did MDC fail to play it?

We all know why! Mugabe bribed them to forget about the reforms. Many out there pretend MDC leaders did nothing wrong because they do not want to admit the truth - that MDC leaders are corrupt and incompetent. So the GNU is now irrelevant because it is old!

How many children were born since Moses came down the mountain with the Ten Commandments? And yet the Ten Commandments have remained one of the core pillar of Christianity and Judaism to this day. Why?

MDC failed to implement even one token reform during the GNU and that is why Zanu PF has blatantly rigged elections and Zimbabwe is a failed state. The GNU remains relevant today as it was in 2008 because we still need to implement the democratic reforms. You and your CCC cronies are no different from the Zanu PF thugs in your thinking. You both believe you must not be held to democratic account especially by mere mortals because “you are in the trenches fighting Zanu PF” you argue and for Zanu PF “we fought in the liberation war!”

Well I will state this one more time: all those in public office are democratically accountable to the people - that is not negotiable.

MDC/CCC leaders have not only failed to implement and reforms but they have been participating in these flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so will give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship. They done all these things out of greed. The MUST account for their treasonous betrayal of the people who have risked life and limb to elect them into power for the primary purpose they would implement the reforms.

I dismiss your narrative of substituting account for blame. The later implies MDC/CCC leaders have done no wrong and/or it was not their fault.

Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders with the trappings of high office and the MDC leaders, in return, forgot about the reforms. This is a well documented historic fact and many who were in the GNU like Professor Arthur Mutambara admit it. And here we are apologists like Chief Svosve continue the pretence MDC leaders did not sell-out!

What is more they have a voice - the system has encourage the nincompoops to believe they are wiser than King Solomon and they love throwing their weight around, holding political leaders to account is a very dangerous thing because there are overzealous supporters who do not like their demigods denigrated. Worse still they have a vote - it is the brain dead herd who elect the buffoons into power and keep them there!

“Eish this Mukori guy , he is just a pain, everyday same information, is like he is talking to his kids, repeating same things for the past 6 months.”

Zimbabwe is a failed state because MDC/CCC leaders failed to implement even one reform to stop Zanu PF rigging elections for the last 23 years. The nincompoops who cheered them along all these years are now defending the sell-outs and are coming up with all manner of idiotic rules to stifle debate and democratic discourse.

We are not allowed to mention reforms, GNU, participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed, the blatant lie plugging all the vote rigging loop holes, God is in it, etc., etc.; anything that will remind them of Chamisa’s incompetence and their stupidity in believing it.

Zanu PF has rigged elections for 43 years and counting; CCC has done nothing to stop the rigging for 23 years and counting; the nincompoops have not even noticed that, it is water off a duck’s back. I have called for reforms, etc for 6 months and the nincompoops are furious. They frothing and fuming out of every orifice on their body.

The nincompoops in the howling monkey stance will put to shame All Black haka dance!

Still the idea that Zanu PF will as certain as day follows night rig the 2028 elections and thus perpetuating the dictatorship is more frightening to me than a legion of the howling monkeys. The only sure way to stop Zanu PF rigging future elections is by getting competent opposition to implement the reforms - the word guaranteed to drive the howling monkeys into rage!

Reform, reform, reform! I will shout reforms from the roof top every hour of every day! Let the howling monkeys do as they please but they can be certain of one thing I will not stop demanding reforms and a competent opposition to implement them!

And my repeated message to all the howling monkeys, I have never been silence by nincompoops and I am not going to let that happen now! So clear all your orifices for some serious frothing and fuming ahead!

You have no clue what the reforms are much less the consequences of MDC leaders betrayal all you know is your blind loyalty to Chamisa and CCC. How can you hold CCC to account for betraying the nation on a matter you do not know anything about. You happily participating in the last elections not knowing doing so would perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship.

Instead of listening to explanation on what the reforms are, why we need them, etc.; you are refusing to listen because you think you already know. You are wiser than King Solomon himself!

Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have buffoons in the ruling party and in the opposition because we have ignorant and foolish voters who elected them in to power and are now doing the best to keep the buffoons in power. Our double curse of rigged elections and ignorant voters!

You clearly believe CCC is the nation’s saviour even though the party has failed to implement even one token reform in 23 years, including 5 years in the GNU! Hupedzi inyama yegakava. The ignorant and stupid are stubborn more so when they consider themselves wiser than King Solomon!

If our MPs were serious about reforms, surely could have threatened to disengage in the 1st year of GNU. We could be not talking of reforms today. The Gnu gave us an opportunity and it's time wasted. Let's accept our mistakes.”

What is so disappoint here is that the MDC itself was launched in 1999 on promise to deliver democratic changes, as the party’s name implied - Movement for Democratic Change. The CCC wildebeest herd have been chanting “CHANGE! CHINJA!” all these years. And yet 23 years later including 5 in the GNU the herd does not have the common sense to realise that MDC/CCC leaders have failed to bring about even one change.

We should not be talking about what the GNU was about, that should be understood by all. Alas! It is a mystery of mysteries, hidden away in plain sight!

It is not all who see who perceive, who hear who understand. Blessed are those who see and perceive, hear and understand. If you cannot even understand that CCC will never implement any reforms after 23 years, it is clear you are incapable of comprehending anything! No wonder Zimbabwe is a failed state and it is a sicken reality!

Let me make it very clear so there is no misunderstanding I will not abandon reforms because some empty head said I had repeated reforms too often - whatever that is supposed to mean. The 10 Commandments are over 3 000 years old since Moses brought them down and yet the still remain a key pillar of Judaism and Christian teaching. Why? Because they are still as relevant today as they were back then.

Zimbabwe is a failed state with all the tragic economic, social and humanitarian consequences that entail because we have failed to hold free, fair and credible elections. I know implementing the democratic reforms is the cure the nation needs. The fact that MDC/CCC leaders sold out and failed to implement even one reform does not mean we do not need the reforms any more nor that there is no one else who can implement them.

Frankly I have but contempt for those making a mountain out of a mole hill of the repeated call for reforms and yet the same individuals have said nothing about MDC/CCC selling out on reforms these last 23 years or about Zanu PF rigging elections for the last 43 years. The stupidity and narcissistic vanity of it all is sickening. The search for a solution to end the national tragedy has to be put on the back burners because some smart Alec is bored to hear anyone else talking about reforms. I am speechless!

  50. Constitution stumbling block

Now that Mnangagwa has won a second term, the constitutional process he would need to get a third term requires not just a two-thirds majority in Parliament, but also a popular majority in a referendum as well.

As things stand, Mnangagwa is ineligible to stand for re-election in 2028 as he would have served his two terms of five years each.

The interregnum between November 2017 when he seized power from the late former president Robert Mugabe and August 2018 when he was sworn in does not count as a term as it is less than the minimum three years which count as a full term.

Section 91 of Zimbabwe's constitution, which came into effect in 2013, limits a president's tenure in office to two five-year terms.

Section 91(2) reads: "A person is disqualified for election as President or Vice-President if he or she has already held office as President under this Constitution for two terms, whether continuous or not, and for the purpose of this subsection three or more years' service is deemed to be a full term."

At the time of drafting the new constitution, Mugabe, who ruled for 37 years, had been in that position for more than 25 years, having first served as prime minister for seven years before that.

Mugabe's extended stay in power, as well as his clearly insatiable appetite to retain it, was a key consideration for the constitution drafters.

The framers crafted a provision that effectively barred an incumbent president from changing the constitution to extend his or her stay in power.

So there is no incentive for Mnangagwa to change the constitution to remove the two-term limits as that would not benefit him unless he were to overhaul the constitution on those issues, removing all those provisions to clear the path for a third term, a mammoth task.

But Mnangagwa has already shown that he is willing to take the risk to maintain power as he did with constitutional amendment number one and number two.

The main effect of amendment number one was to change the procedure of appointing the Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justice and Judge President by removing the interviews process to allow the President to make the appointments in consultations with the Judicial Service Commission, opening room for arbitrarily deployments.

Amendment number two - widely known as the Malaba Act as it controversially benefitted Chief Justice Luke Malaba to extend his tenure after reaching retirement age - dealt with the removal of the running mates clause to deal with Chiwenga to avoid making him an elected vice-president who is difficult to remove, tenure of judges and their promotion, proportional representation of women in Parliament and delimitation of electoral boundaries.

Section 328 (7) of the constitution says: "Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, an amendment to a term-limit provision, the effect of which is to extend the length of time that a person may hold or occupy any public office, does not apply in relation to any person who held or occupied that office, or an equivalent office, at any time before the amendment."

To provide further safeguards against presidential term limit extension, the architects of the new constitution came up with a provision stipulating that section 328 could itself only be amended through a referendum via a popular majority.

This constitutional stumbling block, combined with military manoeuvres to take over in 2028, leaves Mnangagwa's third-term ambition up in smoke.

Mnangagwa rigged the 2023 elections and, if he is not died, he would give third term his best shot!
