ReplyDelete"In a political environment where most opposition presidential candidates failed to even make it to the ballot paper because of Zanu PF’s toxicity and abuse of state institutions, it’s an incredible feat that President @nelsonchamisa did so, shook the system completely and won hundreds of seats against nigh insurmountable odds.
All observers, domestic and international, agreed that the election was a sham."
So the people of Zimbabwe have risked life and limb these last 23 years so that Chamisa can be on the ballot paper in a Zanu PF rigged elections. How idiotic!
@ Mhofu
ReplyDelete“This is a lazy way of thinking. Arikutaurwa nezvake because of the blunders he has made. These blunders are detrimental to the masses of Zimbabwe, who have put their trust in him to lead them. So many lives have been lost, and you blunder that way. Listen, this is not a joking matter but life and death. Can't you figure this out.”
It is tragic that anyone would not realise that Chamisa's blundering incompetence has costed the nation treasure and human lives. But we have some people who are so blind, dum and stupid they have to be told such things. Thank you for saying it!
@ Mhofu
ReplyDelete“Point of correction. Not him alone, but the mandate of the people. Get that right. On his own, he wouldn't have been anywhere there. Those you mentioned failed because they did not have the mandate of the people. So if the people give you their mandate, they also have the right to question your choices. You dont urinate on their heads and tell them its raining as the manner of some here, who irresponsibly jump into idiocrasy to say form your own party. Stop the crass. Such charlatan behaviour must stop, as it will never build a solid party capable of removing these thugs masquerading as a government.”
A breath of fresh air! God bless you!
@ Rotina
ReplyDelete“You’re using CCC as a decoy - to avoid discussing real issues, real misconceptions by real, major entities for decades. Real life issues affecting the whole country and ppl choose to ignore them to discuss CCC…. It’s this pretence, assumption that CCC is the source of all Zim problems. By the way, information is one of the areas that are prone to abuse by dictatorship regimes. We’ve heard enough of this …. Can those that have been at the helm of gvmt for 4 decades do the needful instead of creating kingdoms.”
The bottom line is that you do not accept that Chamisa and company have ever put their foot wrong and Zanu PF is responsible for all Zimbabwe’s problems. This is position born out of ignorance and/or blind loyalty to CCC.
Let us start with a universally accept truths:
a) Zimbabwe is a failed state
b) Zanu PF is responsible for the economic mess and tyrannical oppression
c) As long as Zanu PF retains the dictatorial powers to rig elections there is nothing the nation can do to end the economic mess and the oppression.
d) We need to implement the democratic reforms to stop[ Zanu PF rigging the elections
e) Zanu PF will never implement the reforms to reform itself out of office.
f) MDC/CCC leaders have been elected these last 23 years for the primary purpose of implementing the reforms.
g) After 23 years including 5 in the GNU MDC/CCC have not only failed to implement even one reform they have also been participating in flawed election to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed.
h) MDC/CCC have conned the party supporters to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy to get their few gravy train seat reward.
i) Chamisa lied about the party have winning in rigged elections strategies to hide the real reason was greed.
j) Zanu PF rigged August 2023 elections precisely because MDC/CCC have sold out on reform. If we want to stop Zanu PF rigging the 2028 elections then we must find other who will implement the reform.
Which one of the nine truths are you failing to understand or deny?
To argue that MDC/CCC have done nothing wrong is nonsense, g) is clear they sold out.
To blame Zanu PF for the failure to implement any reforms is nonsense too because no one expected Zanu PF to implement any reforms. Read e0 above.
There are many who simply cannot accept that Chamisa and company can be held to account because they are in the trenches. This is just regurgitated Zanu PF nonsense that Zanu PF leaders must not be held to account because the fought in the liberation war. We are not going to have this insanity of tester year’s heroes becoming the oppressors locking the nation into these endless cycles of each generation having to fight the generation before it for its freedoms and rights. Enough of this s***t!
It is sad that 43 years after independence in this day and age we still have some people who still think political leaders are infallible demigods even the leaders who have already proven that they are corrupt and incompetent. The worst thing is these morons have the vote! no wonder we are a failed state!
CIVIL society organisations (CSOs) in Zimbabwe have called on the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) to stop future elections which do not comply with its recommendations on holding credible, free and fair polls.
ReplyDeleteIn a joint 2023 election report released last week, the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum, Counselling Services Unit, Research and Advocacy Unit, Veritas and Heal Zimbabwe Trust argued that it was pointless to continue holding disputed elections.
In their joint report titled: “Pre and Post-Organised Violence and Torture during the 2023 Harmonised Elections in Zimbabwe”, the CSOs said having discredited elections worsened the existing political divisions in the country.
These busy bodies must take out the log in their own eye before the take out the speck in SADC’s eye.
SADC did act in 2008 to deny Zanu PF legitimacy forcing the regime to agree to the formation of the GNU. It was MDC leaders’ faulty, not SADC, that not even one token democratic reform was implemented in five years of the GNU. None of these Zimbabwean organisation ever toke MDC leaders to task for selling out, indeed many of them were cheering and applauding Tsvangirai and company for doing nothing.
I can well believe that SADC leaders did not want to take Zanu PF to task for rigging the 23 August 2023 elections because they remembered how the last GNU had accomplished nothing and thus feared history would repeat itself. Given the key players in Zanu PF and the opposition were the same from the last GNU there was no reason to believe there was ever going to be any change.
It is no secret that MDC leaders failed to implement any reforms during the GNU out of greed and have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed too. This is a problem of our own making for Pete’s sake! Why have these busy bodies never confronted the sell out opposition first before going to SADC for help!
@ Chamisa
ReplyDelete“Being refined in the furnace of affliction. I’m feeling so charged and fired up. His grace is sufficient. Have a blessed week. Godisinit.”
One of the common features of our leaders is their narcissistic exuberance complete with the double shuffle, Muhammad Ali style. Whilst Ali proved himself in the ring all our leaders ever do is shadow boxing. The world will remember the late Robert Mugabe's anti-west speeches at the UN General Assembly, he was fired up alright. The speeches were “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing,” as William Shakespeare would put it.
Chamisa claimed that CCC was going to win big; this was no feat given the nation is so desperate to get rig of Zanu PF they would vote for a troop of monkeys if that was the only alternative Zanu PF. To win the elections all CCC had to do was implement the democratic reforms to make sure the elections were free, fair and credible.
Our narcissist Chamisa claimed that he had plugged all the vote rigging loop holes; how and when, he did not say. “God is in it!” he insisted.
Mnangagwa and his Zanu PF party went on to rig and win the election. The AU, SADC and even Zimbabwe’s own ZHRC election observers dismissed the election process as flawed and illegal. Chamisa complained that it was “gigantic fraud”.
And before the dust of the rigged elections had settled CCC elected officials were recalled in what is clearly an in-house fighting in the party.
So Chamisa and his CCC fiends had lied to the nation about stopping Zanu PF rigging the elections and dragged the nation into yet another flawed and illegal election process and extending Zanu PF’s tyrannical rule! Chamisa owes the nation an explanation and apology. What is there in all this chaos and confusion for Chamisa to bragging about now! But then those narcissist leaders think they are infallible demigods, they live in their own cloud cuckoo land!
When a mere mortal believes he knows best and is in a position of power and authority to act on his beliefs; there is no stopping him especially when can conspire and connive to rig elections. This is the stuff of nightmare!
For the record, each parliamentary constituency has 30 000 to 40 000 max registered voters and there are over 50 Polling Stations in each constituency and so there are 800 max registered voters per polling station. So was this the vote count of one PS or the total of the whole constituency??
ReplyDeleteThis is the result there is on the social media
