Zanu PF is evicting resettles blacks, payback for rejecting regime in 2023 elections. W Mukori

HUNDREDS of farmers and villagers in Mashonaland West province are facing eviction from the land they occupied on the strength of offer letters issued by politicians and lands officers during the chaotic land reform programme,” stated one report.

“The situation is reportedly being replicated in all the country’s provinces amid reports that government officials and politicians had parcelled out the land for cash.

“Government officials, who occupied lands offices then, and beneficiaries of the 99-year land leases, sold farmland to unsuspecting villagers, mostly former farm workers who found themselves homeless after their employers lost farms through the resettlement programme at the turn of the century.”

Why am I not surprise! This is a Zanu PF political script we should all be familiar with by now.

Some of the people are being evicted today have lived on the same area for 20 years. This is a regime that has thrived on ignorance and fear backed up by brute force.

Zanu PF rigged the 2023 elections as SADC, AU and Zimbabwe’s own ZHRC election observers readily stated in their reports. The regime has always conducted a post-election analysis of the voting trends to identify those sections of the Zimbabwe electorate who dare reject the regime. The resettled farmers were picked up as one such group who did not vote for Zanu PF last August and it is pay back time!

All those who were resettled by the regime are expected to vote for Zanu PF or they will be punished. Period!

The resettled families were given a piece of paper allowing them stay, a piece of paper that can be revoked by the regime at the drop of a hat. The regime was very careful never to grant these settler anything legally binding like a Title Deed! The resettled families were denied ownership of the land for the same reason the rural peasants were denied ownership - to deny them economic power keeping them poor and easy to control.

Zanu PF has stubbornly refused to grant rural area folks title deeds to even 1/2 sq km of land on which the peasants' homestead is built!

In Zimbabwe the rural people are the poorest of the poor. The white colonial regime did not allow blacks to own land even the land on which their mud hut was built. All the land in the rural areas was owned by the tribe in trust hence the name Tribal Trust Lands (TTL).

Blacks were never allowed to have the confidence that they are settled and can invest in a better future. They always lived in fear of being asked to move and they were moved many times by the village head, chief and by the regime.

If you are a white person, you owned the land on which your house or business activities depended on. Whites could borrow money to develop using the Title Deed of the land as collateral security.

After independence Zanu PF kept the TTL policy because it too wanted to keep the masses poor for selfish political reasons. The rural area are Zanu PF’s strongholds because the party's operative are the lords and the rural folk are nothing more than medieval serfs!

After 43 years of waiting to be granted title deed to the 1/2 sq. km of land on which their homestead is built, the rural peasants must claim it as their birth right. They must stake their claim by building a decent homestead fit for human habitation in the 21st century complete with clean water, toilets, 100 fruit trees, 1 000 indigenous trees, etc.

If Bona Mugabe is allowed own 12 farms over 30 000 sq. km of land, enough to fit Lesotho; a peasant is only asking for title deeds to 1/2 sq. km, that is not asking for too much!

As a people, we blacks have been slow in realising and asserting our basic freedoms and rights. We have allowed others to ride roughshod over us, we are the downtrodden. We and we alone can end this curse of being the downtrodden by reclaiming our freedoms and rights as a birth right and not a privilege to be given today and taken away tomorrow at the whim of some tyrant!

  1. UNITED STATES-BASED international election observer mission, The Carter Center, has released a damning report on elections held in Zimbabwe last August and called for a comprehensive reform process to avoid another disputed poll in 2028.

Zimbabwe has had disputed polls since 2008, with the electoral management body accused of, among many other flaws, manipulating the results in favour of the ruling Zanu-PF party.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa was declared winner of the August 2023 election which was roundly condemned by most local, regional and international observer missions as not free and fair.

Main opposition leader Nelson Chamisa rejected the outcome, describing it as a "gigantic fraud”.

In its final report released Tuesday, the centre whose observers were denied accreditation to observe the polls, noted that several technical aspects of the voting process were poorly implemented, leaving a huge dent on the credibility of the elections.

"A meaningful and comprehensive reform process should take place well in advance of the next election period and as part of an inclusive and transparent consultation process,"    the observer group recommended.

The Carter Center called for a review of the Electoral Act and align it with the national Constitution, regional and international standards adopted by Zimbabwe, and best practices for democratic elections.

"Repressive provisions in laws such as the Maintenance of Peace and Order Act (MPOA) and the  Patriotic Act, as well as the Private Voluntary Organizations (PVO) legislation, need to be revisited to allow for citizens' full participation in public affairs, including respect for the freedoms of  assembly, speech, and the press, as established under the Zimbabwean Constitution and in line  with the country's regional and international human rights commitments,"  the report added.

For the record, Nelson Chamisa and his CCC participated in these flawed 2023 elections insisting CCC would win big because Chamisa had plugged all the vote rigging loop holes and “God is in it!” These CCC leaders have failed to implement even one token reform in 23 years, including 5 in the GNU.

The Americans and the rest of the West must now acknowledge that Zimbabwe’s current opposition have proven beyond all doubt that they are corrupt and incompetent and to treat them otherwise has undermined the fight for reform and free elections in Zimbabwe. The West must stop propping up the incompetent opposition because by doing this they are propping up Zanu PF too because CCC are now Zanu PF team B in all but name.

  2. Zanu PF has retained its iron grip on political power by ignorance, fear and the regular use of brute force. The recent drive to evict many resettled blacks, some resettled 20 years ago is regime punishing them for rejecting the party in last year's August elections.

Zanu PF has stubbornly refused to give the resettled families Title Deed making them venerable to the regime's political machinations! Zanu PF is holding the nation to ransom and this must be stopped.

  3. Zanu PF did not give the resettled blacks Title Deed to the land for one purpose and one purpose only to blackmail the settlers by revoking the offer letters if the regime is displeased.

The right to own land must be extended to all Zimbabweans, rural povo and resettled families, and a matter of birth right and not to be used to hold the nation to ransom.

  4. Fear has gripped many rural and peri-urban areas in Zimbabwe after the authorities unleashed a new wave of house demolitions leaving countless families homeless. Already, stranded people are counting their losses in areas including Masvingo and Chipinge. Devastated citizens say they have been reduced to squatters in their own country.

Homesteads, painstakingly built on the back of immense toil by mostly poverty-stricken Zimbabweans in this tough economy, are being razed to the ground, leaving behind wastelands of rubble. Human rights lawyers say some of the targeted villagers have lived for more than 40 years on the land. The government accuses unscrupulous village heads and land barons of illegally selling state land.

Four village heads in Dema, Mashonaland East, have been convicted for selling land illegally in transactions known as "sabhuku land deals". But legal experts say although the problem is quite complex, it largely emanates from the Zanu PF government’s refusal to allow black land ownership in rural areas, 44 years after Independence. As a result, 67% of the Zimbabwean population, based in rural areas, is still subjected to a discredited colonial-era arrangement which imposed a legislated state monopoly over land ownership in the countryside.

For reasons of political control and electoral manipulation, the authorities are opposed to the idea of introducing legal title in rural areas, analysts say.

The land issue was one of the grievances for the war of independence and it centred on two issues:

    1) the white had moved the blacks off their ancestral land in region one and two to resettle them in the poor region 4 and 5.

    2) the white were allowed to own land, vast farms, and yet the black were denied title deeds in the rural areas, not even the 1/2 sq. km on which the homestead was built.

Zanu PF has made a big song and dance about its land redistribution of 2000 to 2015, noted for its seizure of white owned farms accompanied by the gratuitous violence. The redistribution addressed the first point above but not the second as most of the seized farms were given to Zanu PF ruling elite. The regime completely ignored the issue of giving the masses ownership of the land be it in the rural areas and the few who were resettled.

The people of Zimbabwe themselves have been slow and naive, to say the least, in allowing Zanu PF to deny them ownership of the land now 44 years after independence. Being deny ownership of the land, the one meaningful property for the majority, has reduced povo into third class citizens and why anyone should tolerate this speaks volumes of their own self respect and pride!

  5. Why Zimbabweans have tolerated being denied the right to own even 1/2 sq. km of land and be reduced to third class citizens 44 years after independence speaks volumes of our own self-respect and pride! VOLUMES!

“Yes, this MUST be stopped but WHO can stop it????”

MDC/CCC leaders would have stopped Zanu PF rigging election if they had implemented the reforms. After 23 years, including 5 in the GNU they have not only failed to implement even one reform but have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. We the people can get the reforms implemented if we are smart enough to accept CCC have failed to do it and elect others who will!

  7. As long as Zanu PF is allowed to rig elections the dictatorship will remain in power. What we need is to accept that MDC/CCC have failed to implement reforms to stop the rigging and elect leaders who will implement the reforms. Alas! We have failed to realise that Chamisa and company are corrupt and incompetent for 23 years now!

What has the violence eviction of resettled blacks and the systematic denial of ordinary Zimbabwean's right to own even 1/2 sq. km of land to do with the whites?

Zanu PF and CCC have taken full advantage of many Zimbabweans’ ignorance and stupidity which is the root cause of the cult leader mentality. “Comrade Napoleon is always right!” as George Orwell portrayed it i his book, Animal Farm.

  11. The promised version of an opposition party touted around as the Blue something is not a political project but a lucrative business enterprise  where Nelson Chamisa will be the sole director.

The Chamisa project will sadly crush soon after take off since it lacks ingredients  of a democratic movement.

Nelson Chamisa ran away from the Citizens Coalition For Change CCC because he felt shaken by the deafening calls for an elective congress.Chamisa and democracy its like oil and water,

Though we have it on good authority that the advice to storm out of CCC came from his handlers within the Intelligence system we will remain steadfast and focussed as we collectively chart the way forward without political vultures like Nelson Chamisa.

The Citizens Coalition for Change was never a Chamisa project and it will never collapse in his absence.

Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have one of the most ignorant and naive electorate in the world give rise to a corrupt and predatory ruling elite on both sides of the political divide. As long as the Zimbabwe electorate remains so ignorant they do not know the nation needs the democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections. And they are so naive they believe Chamisa’s lies that CCC would win big because he has plugged all the vote rigging loop holes when he could not even secure a verified voters’ roll; Zimbabwe will continue to sink into the abyss.

Chamisa’s CCC was a lead balloon that never took off, there were no quality leaders and no substance to everything he said or did. He was just taking advantage of the very gullible electorate desperate for change. “Change is coming!” he said without ever giving and details. The herd believed him. CCC dragged the nation into a flawed election to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship.

With the damage done, Chamisa resigned from CCC in a huff and the party is in the throes of a self-destruct implosion.

Chamisa’s blue train is yet another lead balloon, it will never ever take off! All the euphoria is from the masses who are desperate for change, so desperate they believe the lead balloon will fly!

Chamisa and company were supposed to implement reforms and stop Zanu PF rigging elections. They have, instead, done an excellent job of keeping Zanu PF in power these last 23 years. No wonder many people have been calling CCC Zanu PF’s B team!

Nations get the government they deserve. We in Zimbabwe, given our ignorance and naivety, deserve this corrupt, tyrannical and vote rigging Zanu PF complete with its entourage of corrupt and utterly useless opposition.

  12. Former Seke legislator Willard Madzimbamuto who was recalled by Tshabangu took to X to express his frustration.

"No genuine movement begins in such an ambiguous way with only two people," he said.

"Such conduct casts negative aspersions at Nelson Chamisa as being dictatorial on things that he does not know."

This must be pure agony for the likes of Mahere, Madzimbamuto, etc. who were booted out of the Tshabangu camp or jump before they were booted out to find they are not wanted in the Chamisa camp!

  13. SELF-EXILED former Zanu-PF political commissar and Cabinet minister, Saviour Kasukuwere, has called on the government to put in place a comprehensive plan to arrest the sprouting of illegal settlements while cushioning the affected victims.

This comes at a time when the government is rolling out the "No to Land Barons and Illegal Settlements on Land" operation with an estimated 13 000 villagers facing eviction in Masvingo province.

According to reports, the government is allegedly set to make more than US$13 million through US$100 fines on poor citizens who are being evicted from State land.

The state should be compensating all these people who are being forced off the land, abandoning all they have invested over the years and having to start all over again. The regime is instead looking at this as a money making exercise. Typical!

  14. A CARE company serving NHS patients has been charging migrant workers from Africa thousands of pounds to work in the United Kingdom when the cost of a visa is only a few hundred pounds, The Guardian has learned.

Care workers from Zimbabwe were told to pay the sums to Gloriavd Health Care Ltd in return for arranging social care jobs in and around Leeds and Bath.

They also claimed they were given far less paid work than they had been led to expect, were housed in overcrowded rooms and faced a threat that their conduct could be reported to the Home Office, leading them to fear deportation if they complained.

One woman alleged she sold her home in rural South Africa to pay £6 500 in fees to the company operated by Gloria Van Dunem only to find she and her colleagues had so little work they had to rely on food banks.

The Home Office charges no more than £551 for a visa for care workers and the cost of a sponsor licence for a small company to bring in foreign care workers is £536.

An altogether familiar tale! One of the consequences of Zimbabwe being a failed state is that many of our people are desperate making them vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.

I am for a democratic Zimbabwe in which all her people enjoy freedom and liberty and those in public office are democratically accountable to the people. I believe both Zanu PF and CCC have proven beyond all doubt that they are corrupt, incompetent and therefore unfit to hold public office. I am smart enough to know the present political system has failed and hence the need for implementing the democratic reforms.

People like you know the country is in a mess but have no clue why much less what is to be done. You are stuck in a rut! You think Chamisa is an infallible demigod who has done no wrong and will get the nation out of the mess. You do not even have the common sense to realise that after 23 years, including 5 in the GNU, MDC/CCC have delivered no change.

You are like Boxer, the horse in Animal Farm, who was too stupid to learn the alphabet; you are too stupid to learn what constitute good governance! Boxer gave up thinking for himself and adopted “Comrade Napoleon is always right!” as his motto. In like manner you have adopted “Chamisa chete chete!” as your motto.

Man is a creature of intellect and reason and to follow a corrupt and incompetent leader like Chamisa blindly for 23 years and counting is something some one with an IQ of a horse would do!

“Belongingness is an aspect of life, like you are in this group.” I am not in this group to follow blindly but to hammer some sense into the heads of village idiots like you who, in you stupidity, are the ones dragging the nation into this hell!

“Indeed we are on a fix under our Government. In Botswana everyone has a title deed. Some buy vast plots of land and allow companies to build on their lands giving them 99 year leases. Those who have farms have title deeds and they sell willingly. The banks are giving loans like selling Magwinya (Fat Cakes) to allow citizens to build beautiful houses whether in the village or in town as long as they have a loan security of title deeds.

We need to clean Zimbabwe now and Zimbabwe should not be a province of Zambia because the nyanjas are in leadership, Malawi because Malawians who became citizens during the colonial rule are in leadership, South Africa because the Ndebeles are in leadership. You find all Shona origins people are suppressed big time we have Shona speaking people in the echelons of leadership who are not Shona origins. Outside it appears that Shona's are in leadership yet they are not pure Shona's. Real Shona's are not cruel check with the Great Zimbabwe leadership. They were openly and genuinely building their Kingdom without any impartiality. Zimbabwe needs a real Shona or real Ndebele leader who cares about the nation not the mixed natives. This is why Zimbabweans are still suffering for 43 years.”

I totally agree with you on the need to grant people title deed to own the land. It is a pity you spoilt it with all the tribal diatribe. You should judge people on the merits of their contribution and not on which tribe the come from. Merit has nothing to do with gender, race, tribe, etc., etc.

  17. A TOTAL of 31 families are facing imminent eviction from a farm in Banket measuring more than 624 hectares to accommodate a traditional leader.

According to State papers, the new beneficiary of the farm is Chief Zvimba, born Stanley Wurayayi Mhondoro.

Last week, Ben Mutambu and 20 others appeared before a Chinhoyi magistrate and were granted US$40 bail each for illegally occupying gazetted land. Nine other villagers are still outstanding and are due to appear in court soon facing similar charges.

This Monday, Vitalis Guviro (56) of Plot 8 Lion Kopje farm, Banket was dragged before Chinhoyi Magistrate Rumbidzai Tshuma charged with contravening Section 3 (1) of the Gazetted Land (Consequential Provisions).

So what is it that Chief Zvimba will do with the land that is so special and the 31 families were not doing and could never do?

One of the notables is that most of the chiefs were in the white colonial regime’s pockets except for the exception of Chief Rakayi Tangwena. The whites gave the chief the hard bell-shaped hat plus the half moon metal plate necklace with “CHIEF” to wear and the chiefs were chuffed to bits.

Zanu PF has gone one step further, the chiefs are Zanu PF’s political commissars per excellence. The 18 chiefs in the senate are designed to give Zanu PF an inbuilt majority in 80 seat chamber.

Chief Rakayi Tangwena must be spinning in his grave to see how this Zanu PF government is treating the blacks Zimbabweans the same way the whites treated him and his people and he had spend all his life fighting to end it.

  18. The personality cult culture is like corruption, once it has been allowed to take root it s near impossible to up root. The personality cult followers believe in the individual and follow him/her blindly. Chamisa has already proven that he is corrupt and incompetent but to his followers all the evidence of that is water off a duck's back.

Chamisa dragged the nation into the 2023 elections on the lie he has plugged all the vote rigging loop holes with the tragic consequences - we are stuck with the tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship. The mob singing the praises of Chamisa today have forgiven him, if the lie and consequences ever registered in their empty heads.

The herd has not learned any of the many mistakes CCC has made and yet they are being stampeded into a new party just as they were stampeded into CCC before any analysis of why MDC had failed. Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over again. If you do not have the intellect to see this is not working you will repeat the same mistake countless times.

Democracy demands the electorate must be educate, knowledgeable and diligent in holding those is power to account. The Zimbabwe electorate is one of the most ignorant, naive and gullible in the world; we are incapable of thinking for ourselves and reason and logic mean nothing - fertile ground for personality cult to take root and thrive.

From Zaka turn off up to Chekenyera bus stop near jerera growth point I'm sure eviction is in progress now.

From triangle up to ngundu eviction is in process guy's just confirm with your relatives.

Some parts of domboshava, Mverechena, Mungate up to Ngoma kurira Nyamande.

This is a regime that has ruled through fear, ignorance and a generous dose of brute force. The regime has flexed its muscles to create one national crisis after another just to remind one and all who is the lord of the manor, especially whenever it felt its iron grip on power was being threatened.

“The ‘new’ regime can be viewed from different angles, but the nub of it is this: there’s a recognition that the economic fiasco of the last 20 years was suboptimal, but Emmerson Mnangagwa and his fellow travellers will burn the house down if they feel it necessary. Make no mistake, their will to power is every bit as intense as Mugabe’s—as is their belief that they own the country’s choicest fruits by right of conquest,” wrote Stuart Doran.

“There’s no comprehending Zimbabwe without an appreciation of that mentality. Yet many fail to get it because they don’t read the country’s history. In 1979, at the height of the struggle against white rule, a diplomat who mixed frequently with Mugabe and other leaders of his party observed that ‘ZANU does not seem to attach much importance to the destruction caused by prolonged war’. They said they were content to see Zimbabwe ‘totally’ demolished if that was the price to be paid for preventing others from ruling it. That attitude has not changed an iota, notwithstanding the passage of 40 years and Mugabe’s departure. After all, the men who now rule wielded his hatchets for most of that period.

“That’s a tough ask for the same group of individuals who have shredded the country since 1980—a fraternity that will continue to loot, will continue to be tetchy about the merest hint of dissent, and will continue to patently despise the notion that it requires the consent of the people to govern.”

Like it or not Zanu PF is burning down the country and still the regime’s appetite for absolute power, influence and the wealth it has brought is insatiable. The more the people have cowed to appease the regime the more demanding the regime has become. The policy of appeasement has never ever worked in history and the question is will Zimbabweans finally wake up to this reality before it is too late!

Kasukuwere led and sponsored the terror gangs that operated mainly in the Mashonaland Central province.

On the 5th May 2008 for example he organized and ferried (using his lorry) a group of over 300 youths to Chaona, Mazowe. The youths beat up perceived opposition supporters, killing 6 and injuring dozens.”

You would not be asking for the solution if you understood the problem. So what is the problem?

Zimbabwe is a failed state because Zanu PF has rigged elections leaving the nation stuck with a corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical regime for 43 years! The nation came to a consensus to the problem of rigged elections; elect leaders who will implement the necessary democratic changes to stop the rigging. The nation has risked life and limb, at the hands of Zanu PF, to elect MDC/CCC leaders on the understanding they would implement the reforms.

Alas! MDC/CCC leaders have not only failed to implement even one token reform these last 23 years, including 5 in the 2008 to 2013 GNU; worst of all they have since given up on implementing the reforms. Chamisa et al have been participating in the flawed elections to give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed.

It is not as if MDC/CCC leaders did not know they have sol out; they knew it.

“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.

The double tragedy for Zimbabwe is that not only have we had corrupt and incompetent MDC/CCC leaders who have failed to stop Zanu PF rigging elections; worst of all, we have an ignorant and naive electorate that has failed to realise CCC leaders’ incompetence. Even after 23 years with no even a token reform implemented many Zimbabweans still consider Chamisa as “the best foot forward for the country”!

Chamisa conned the nation into participating in the 2023 elections only to give Zanu PF legitimacy with such blatant lies as “I have plugged all Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes.” Chamisa has since resigned from CCC when the damage to the nation cause to end the Zanu PF dictatorship is done.

In short, Zimbabwe’s biggest problem is having an ignorant, naive and gullible electorate, so ignorant and naive they elevate a mere mortal to demigod status regardless of his proven track record as corrupt and incompetent. The solution is self evident - educate the electorate. A healthy and function democracy demands an educated, knowledgeable and diligent electorate.

    1) It is true that Chamisa and company sold out by failing to implement even one reform in 23 years, including 5 in the GNU; not even you would dare deny these historic facts

    2) Chamisa and company have not only refused to admitted they sold out on reforms but have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy

    3) The consequence of the above two points is Zanu PF rigging elections with the tragic suffering and deaths we are now witnessing

    4) How ironic you are frothing around the mouth because I have dare to say some home truths about the corrupt and incompetent Chamisa but are indifferent to the suffering of millions out there because he sold out.

    5) Chamisa et al are corrupt and incompetent and this must be hammered into the heads of the village idiots who consider him the best foot forward for the nation out of their personality cult mentality.

    6) Zimbabwe needs competent leaders who will implement the reforms and end the curse of rigging elections and bad governance. The village idiots are holding the nation to ransom with their foolishness!

    7) You and your fellow village idiots do not want to hear that Chamisa is not only a mere mortal but a corrupt and incompetent one. I am here to tell you lot what you MUST hear and not what you want to hear! Correction, I am here to hammer that message home!

  28. Zimbabwe is a failed state and we are not going to get out of this mess by repeating the same foolish mistakes that landed us in the mess in the first place. The idea that those in leadership position are infallible demigods who must never be questioned nor held to account is foolish, antiquated and retrogressive.

The personality cult mentality is for those who do not want to think for themselves and so not only give up their right to do so but try to bully and bamboozle others to do the same.

Chamisa chete chete is nothing but a variation of "Comrade Napoleon is always right!" of George Orwell's Animal Farm!

Chamisa must account for conning the nation into participating in 2023 elections claiming he had plugged all the vote rigging loop holes. The consequences of participating were Zanu PF rigged the elections and not even SADC could act to deny the regime political legitimacy. The idea that such a corrupt and incompetent individual should be treated as an infallible demigod is sickening.

How can anyone even listen to us if we do not even have the common sense to admit to ourselves that the present political arrangement has failed to deliver a free, just and fair Zimbabwe for our people? No more of this personality cult bulls***t!

“As it stands today. NELSON CHAMISA is what the majority of Zimbabweans look up to as the one with the call to save Zimbabwe from the tyranny. All eyes and hopes are fixed on him. He is like the messiah expected to come from the crowds. The whole nation is at stand still, WAITING for the signal from him. It will be the news .

I see like Nelson Chamisa has it all. It is true that he is the man of the moment.

May the Lord protect him from those who are jealousy of him and those who hate him until that which is written in the books of life in heaven be fulfilled in Zimbabwe.”

Nelson Chamisa failed to implement even one democratic reform these last 23 years, he conned the nation into participating flawed elections to give vote rigging ZAnu PF legitimacy, etc., etc. For anyone to still consider him “the man of the moment” shows just how ignorant, naive and stupid they are. They have clearly learned nothing from the past or they are incapable of learning anything because their brain has all but ossified.

If Zimbabwe think Chamisa is the nation’s saviour then they have not suffered enough because he is not the saviour and by allowing themselves to be conned by the upstart he will dragged them even deeper into this hell on earth we find ourselves in. There will great suffering and gnashing of teeth!

“Commenting on number 1 & 2. the rest is not worth commenting on. To say they failed to implement reforms is a total failure to appreciate the realities on the ground. What would you have them do? How would they have instituted the reforms when they didn't control the apparatus to effect those changes.

Power was shared, at least on paper, but zanu pf quickly usurped the powers that the prime minister had. I remember Charamba defining what a prime minister is- that he is just like any other minister but with little more power compared to the other minister.

To think mdc did not call for reforms is just being disingenuous. My regret is why they entered into that agreement in the first place. It was a case of garwe hero sadza, swederera. I guess due to the trouble that ensured after the 2008 elections, Morgan thought this was the best way out to save the killings.”

I would not be surprised that you are a professor, you would not be the first real Zimbabwean Professor who has gone to show he/she does not even have common sense!

The primary purpose of the GNU were to implement the democratic reforms to stop the Zanu PF blatant cheating and wanton violence of 2008 which forced both SADC and AU to deny Zanu PF political legitimacy and force the regime to agree to the GNU.

Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders with the trappings of high office; the ministerial limos, the generous salaries and allowances, US$ 4m mansion for Tsvangirai, etc., etc. In return the MDC leaders forgot about the reforms.

“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” boasted Zanu PF cronies when asked why MDC leaders were not implementing any reforms.

A few MDC leaders who were in the GNU have admitted they took their eyes off the reforms!
“As a collective political leadership, we should have taken time to apply our minds to the existential question:

    “What next after the GNU?”
We did not address this matter.
This was suicidal.” confessed Professor Arthur Mutambara in his Book In
Search of the Elusive Zimbabwean Dream, Volume III (Ideas & Solutions)

MDC leaders sold out by failing to implement even one token reforms during the GNU - this is not an opinion, it is a historic fact.

You are just one of those nincompoops with not common sense, even now with all the benefit of hindsight you still have no idea what happened during the GNU. You do not know what are you wittering about!

I have said and will say it again; Chamisa and company sold out by failing to implement even one democratic reform in 23 years including the 5 in the GNU. Prove me wrong by naming one reform they have implemented. If you cannot name one reform then you are calling me murakashi because I have dared to speak the truth.

You can bully and bamboozle you fellow brain dead wildebeest herd just do not make the mistake of trying any of that bullshit on me!

Judging from the number of times the nation has treaded the same path these is a great need to warn of the danger of repeating the same mistakes. I would rather warn then again and again than see the same repeat repeated especially another rigged elections!

“Not really interested in your propensity for vitriol. Being a prof is an earned title. Institutions which conferred this on me are more than your zanufied mindset. Funny, you throw mud and criticize chamisa from the comfort of some western countries . Yes, the purpose of the GNU was to implement reforms. every knows that. It’s not about what, but how. Did Chamisa and company have the clout to force Mugabe to implement the reforms. If Mugabe said no, did Chamisa have the courts, the army or police to force him. SADC ‘s guarantee was merely on paper. We all know SADC is a like a club to watch each other’s backs. It pays to be levelheaded.”

Here we go again, you are wittering nonsense!

MDC leaders did not submit even one reform proposal in the five years of the GNU. So Mugabe never said no to any reform proposal because not one was ever put before him!

SADC leaders notably SA’s Minister Lindiwe Zulu did they best to remind MDC leaders to implement the reforms but were ignored. SADC leaders tried to get the 2013 elections postponed until reforms were implemented and Tsvangirai and company ignored the warning.

You cannot accept that MDC leaders sold out by failing to implement the democratic reforms and so you want to rewrite historic facts. This is the foolishness that is holding back Zimbabwe!

“This is nonsensical a bag full of rubbish😄 how could a man say this without considering the fact that...opposition that was elected in 2008 had other objectives...claiming that they were elected to just implement reforms is mere insanity...and also saying it everyday will never make me or anyone hate Chamisa the way your nincompoop brain does…

Stuck in 2008 you are...you need therapy to help you deal with the fact that this is not 2008 but 2024 where Zimbabweans understand and spit on your Zanu propaganda….”

If it is nonsensical to say MDC/CCC leaders failed to implement even one token reform is 23 years, including 5 in the GNU; then I am sure you will provide the evidence and name one democratic reform they implemented in that period.

Who is the greater fool here, you who were conned into participating in flawed elections because you believed Chamisa had “plugged all the vote rigging loops.” He even evoke the name of God for good measure. The idiot had not even secured a verified voters’ roll and to crown it, he did not even deploy election agents even though the party had received the funding the agents.

43 years after independence, in this day and age, and we are still failing to hold free, fair and credible elections; not for some one else but ourselves. Only the first class nincompoop would not be outraged by it all, contend to dismiss it all as Zanu PF propaganda.

MDC leaders failed to implement even one token reform during the GNU because Mugabe bribed them with the trappings of high office. MDC/CCC leaders have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed.

Chamisa and company have conned the CCC herd and the public into participating in these flawed elections promising them CCC would win big because he plugged the vote rigging loop holes. He was taking advantage of the people’s ignorance and naivety.

The people (including well educated and professionals) continue to follow Chamisa blindly out of the personality cult mentality. The nation will pay dearly for this foolishness because Chamisa will never implement any reforms and put an end to the curse of rigged elections and bad governance.

These are all historic facts and realities, you calling them garbage will change nothing nor will it get the country out of the hell-hole the insanity of the last 43 years have landed us.

  38. “THE International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) two-week-long high-level visit ended on Wednesday amid revelations that no financial support will be extended to Zimbabwe without authorities undertaking serious monetary and fiscal reforms.

The visiting IMF delegation was led by Wojceiche Maliszewski to discuss Zimbabwe’s request for a Staff Monitored Program (SMP) and commence the 2024 Article IV Consultation.

“However, the IMF is currently precluded from providing financial support to Zimbabwe due to its unsustainable debt situation- based on IMF’s Debt Sustainability Analysis- and official external arrears.

“An IMF arrangement will require a clear path to a comprehensive restructuring of Zimbabwe’s external debt, including the clearance of arrears and a reform plan that is consistent with durably restoring macro-economic stability, enhancing inclusive growth, lowering poverty and strengthening economic governance,” the delegation said in a statement.

The Bretton Woods Institution pointed out several issues they have raised concerns over which include reforms centred on structural, fiscal and monetary.”

There will never be meaningful economic reforms without meaningful political reforms. Zimbabwe is a pariah state ruled by corrupt, incompetent murderous thugs who have remained in power ever since the country’ independence in 1980 only because they rig elections.

The country had its best opportunity yet to implement the democratic reforms and stop Zanu PF rigging elections during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Alas! The MDC leaders who were to implement the reforms turned out to be corrupt and incompetent and so the opportunity was wasted. Ever since the GNU the opposition have participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed.

The foundation of humanity is spirituality. Then for Zimbabweans to sustain we need thst . But alas, they are jst paid by Zanu-PF to waste our time…

These oppositions have no idea on how to remove Zanu-PF from power. You certainly can't remove those warriors through Sunday school preaching.”

The biggest mistake we have ever made it fail in our duty as citizen to hold all those in public office to democratic account and to educate our fellow Zimbabweans. If we had educated our people there would not be so many village idiots grovelling to Chamisa. Many would know MDC/CCC are corrupt and incompetent.

  40. These is a mountain of evidence proving Chamisa is not only a fallible mortal but a corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless mortal. He conned the nation into participating in August 2023 flawed elections claiming that he had plugged all vote rigging loop holes. He lied to give Zanu PF legitimacy for the sake of a few gravy train seats. And yet many continue to sing his praise not out of rational thinking but rather the irrational cult of personality mentality.

Wikipedea definition of Cult of personality

“A cult of personality, or a cult of the leader, is the result of an effort which is made to create an idealized and heroic image of a glorious leader, often through unquestioning flattery and praise. Historically, it has developed through techniques of mass media, propaganda, spectacle, the arts, patriotism, and government-organized demonstrations and rallies. A cult of personality is similar to apotheosis, except that it is established by modern social engineering techniques, usually by the state or the party in one-party states and dominant-party states. Cults of personality often accompany the leaders of totalitarian or authoritarian governments. They can also be seen in some monarchies, theocracies, failed democracies and even in liberal democracies.”

Once the cult of personality mentality has taken root, to uproot it is not quite mission impossible but it is very hard work nonetheless. In Zimbabwe cult of personality has taken root in the opposition camp just as corruption has taken root in the Zanu PF camp. Zimbabwe is a failed state and to end this tragic state of affairs demands uprooting both corruption and cult of personality - that is near as damn it, mission impossible.

  41. Nonsense! Zimbabwe is sinking deeper and deeper into the abyss because it is a pariah state ruled by thugs in power because they rig elections. As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state the country will remain a failed state. Peace, prosperity and progress are impossible in a pariah state.

Mnangagwa cannot have prosperity whilst he remains the Gold Mafia godfather! He will never admit Zanu PF has failed to delivery mass prosperity, “gutsva ruzhinji”, because it is not in the nature of tyrants and buffoons like him to admit failure even after 43 years of misrule, the national economy in ruins and 49% of the population living in abject poverty.

He would rather talk of leapfrogging 1 000 years to catchup than ever admit he is dragging the nation deeper and deeper into the abyss. And we, the people, have failed in our sacred duty to hold him and all those in power to account.

Holding free, fair and credible elections is the prerequisite for ending the curse of rigged elections and good governance. Those who have failed to meet this basic requirement for good governance cannot reap the benefits of good governance whilst they stoically remain a tyrannical autocracy. You reap as you sowed!

Was Chamisa and CCC’s participation in last year’s elections a rational decision?

Is all this euphoria calling Chamisa Zimbabwe’s best foot forward reasonable and guided by the principles of Zeninism?

  43. Another Bible quotation from Chamisa and millions of Zimbabweans are dazzled, convinced he is the saviour the nation has been waiting for!

Chamisa has done foolish things like failing to implement even one token reform to stop Zanu PF rigging elections for 23 years, including 5 in the GNU, and yet claim his party will win big. Zanu PF has blatantly rigged the elections again and again proof that, contrary to Chamisa’s claim, God is NOT in any of his hare-brain schemes!

The tragedy for Zimbabwe is that Chamisa has followers conned many Zimbabweans into participating in these flawed elections only to give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy.

Any one can quote verses from the Bible. Devil quoting some verses when he tempted Jesus! Chamisa has already proven that he is corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless as a national leader. Yet he continues to con and bamboozle many with his idiotic claims, quotations from the Bible toped up with “God is in it!”

Man is supposed to be a creature of reason endowed by the Lord God with the brain to think for himself! The ease with which Chamisa has conned and bamboozled our people all these last 23 years, suggests supposition man is a creature of reason is a universal truth, certainly not so in Zimbabwe.
