"Chamisa disown fake (Tshabangu) SG". It pays to get the best in the beginning - we got the worst! W Mukori

“Chamisa Disowns Fake Party SG!” read Zimeye headlines.

“The opposition CCC has disowned Sengezo Tshabangu, who claims to be the interim Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Secretary General, who has written to the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, Winston Chitando, purporting to recall several CCC MPs and councillors,” said the report.

“In the letter dated 03 October 2023, Tshabangu said the elected officials have ceased to be members of CCC.

“Tshabangu is a former MDC-T and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) official believed to have signed letters that produced CCC double candidates in the 23 August 2023 Harmonised Elections.”

So if Tshabangu is not CCC’s SG, who is?

I will bet my bottom dollar, that Nelson Chamisa himself does not know who is the interim SG! It is all part and parcel of his infamous “strategic ambiguity” master plan!

The truth is he does not have a plan he is just blundering from pillar to post. The tragedy is there are many foolish enough to follow him blindly. And so instead of MDC/CCC implementing the necessary democratic reforms to end the Zanu PF dictatorship they are the ones keeping Zanu PF in power and thus dragging the nation deeper and deeper into this hell-on-earth.

Most of the problems dogging the MDC/CCC are of their own making. “Kurumwa nechokuchera!” as one would say in Shona.

When Chamisa staged a palace coup following Tsvangirai's death in 2018 the MDC A was token to pieces in the ensuing struggle that followed. Chamisa’s failure to hold a party congress and elect substantive office bearers has ignited a forest fire that bound to cause death and destruction and, most of all, rendering CCC utterly useless as the opposition party.

What is infuriating here is that this is all happening at a time the nation should be dealing with the vexing question of the rigged 23 August 2023 elections. This chaos and distraction will only give those elements in SADC who want to sweep the damning SADC election report under the carpet. "Who are we going to work with in the opposition?" they will argue!

It pays in the end to get the best in the beginning! In terms of electing the men and women tasked to implement the democratic reforms and end the Zanu PF dictatorship, we in Zimbabwe elected the most corrupt, incompetent and utterly use men and and women and, boy-oh-boy, we have paid and will continue to pay dearly for our folly!

It was not for Zanu PF to accept or refuse reforms and by the same token, MDC failed to implement even one reform not because Zanu PF refused reforms. Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders with the trappings of high office and they forgot about the reforms.

Just because some people will never accept that MDC/CCC are fallible let alone sell outs does not mean change historic facts!

Indeed, it is this tendency to ignore facts that landed us in this mess! Those who will not learn from the past are destined to repeat the same mistakes over and over again!

“With all this you are sending why did your party fail to wine a seat.”

So is that why MDC/CCC has failed to implement even one democratic reforms in 23 years and, worse still, why you support the party?

Chamisa lied about plugging all the vote rigging holes resulting in yet another rigged elections and the village idiot is gloriously happy! The great tragedy for the nation is that the village idiots have the vote and they, in their stupidity, are the ones who are perpetuating the dictatorship.

  3. By Our Corespondent in Maputo , Mozambique.

President Cyril Ramaphosa met President Emmerson Mnangagwa in Beitbridge purportedly to inspect the Border Post. We have since reported that was not the purpose of their meeting. President Emmerson Mnangagwa was there to plead with his South African counterpart President Cyril Ramaphosa to stop the SADC Extraordinary Summit of Heads of States on Zimbabwe in Tanzania this October.

Now President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi has invited President Hakainde Hichilema of the Republic of Zambia and President Lazarus Chakwera of the Republic of Malawi to the launch of the Modernized Facilities at Nacala Port in Mozambique. The three SADC Leaders meet in Mozambique today Saturday 7 October 2023 for the event. That's what is public just like the Beitbridge meeting by President Cyril Ramaphosa and President Emerson Mnangagwa was said to be a Border Post inspection.

In New York at the UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY UNGA 78 our Correspondent there reported the meeting of President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi and President Emmerson Mnangagwa on the sidelines of the Assembly. After that meeting President Nyusi was asked where he stood on Zimbabwe. He said, " We are brothers. But as a SADC Leader I put my weight behind SADC processes and not on a Member State."

Today in Mozambique the three SADC Leaders, the Chair of the SADC TROIKA ORGAN President Hakainde Hichilema, President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi and President Lazarus Chakwera are affirming their undivided support for President Hakainde Hichilema on ZIMBABWE. Our Sources here in Mozambique say the three SADC Leaders have gained more SADC Leaders support and there's no way the SADC summit on Zimbabwe in Tanzania this October can be stopped or deferred as per ZANU PF request.

If this is true, then this makes very interesting reading indeed!

Like it or not the SADC and AU damning reports are real and both SADC and the AU cannot sweep them under the carpet and get away with it.

  4. Rumour has it that the SADC Extraordinary Summit to discuss the damning SADC election report on Zimbabwe is still on the card.

The truth is both SADC and AU cannot sweep the damning reports under the carpet without losing all credibility!

Zimbabwe needs this Zanu PF government declared illegitimate and clear the way for National Transition Authority that MUST implemented ALL the democratic reforms without failure. This is our second bite at the cherry, we must make it count!

  5. So as far as you are concerned the whole election was free and fair except the announcing of the results. ZEC failed to produce something as basic as a verified voters' roll, for example. How can you have free and fair elections without something as basic as that? There was no free public media, there was no secret ballot, etc.

You are making a mountain out of a mole hill of the 103% total. If you convert the total number of votes of each candidate into a percentage and short of quoting each percent to infinity you will rarely get the sum of the percentages to add up to 100%! Neither SADC nor AU condemned the Zimbabwe elections because the total of the percentages was 103%!

For the record Chamisa did not plug any vote rigging holes; it was just hot air. It is shocking that anyone, even now with the benefit of hindsight would still believe in Chamisa’s posturing and grandstanding! After 43 years of Zanu PF mafiosi rigging elections and someone still believes in Chamisa’s winning in rigged elections strategies; it is insane.

I gave you details of where you can access the EU 2018 election report giving details of why the 2018 elections were not free, fair and credible. Why did you fail to read it? If you do not want to believe EU, SADC and AU have just condemned the 23 August 2023 elections. And still you insist that the elections were free, fair and credible. You will never accept that Zanu PF rigged the elections, just do not try to impose your blinked view on others!

  7. @ Zambeze

You do not know what constitutes free and fair elections and so will participate in elections no matter how flawed the process got. "No participating is unacceptable!" Why bother!!!!!!

So the people of Zimbabwe have risked life and limb to vote for MDC/CCC all these years are gloriously happed with what MDC/CCC leaders have done? You are the one in Zimbabwe, are you gloriously happy that Chamisa and company have failed to implement even one reform in 23 years and left the nation stuck with this Zanu PF dictatorship? No wonder Zimbabwe is a failed state, we really have some people who are brain dead!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Well it is a historic fact that MDC leaders have failed to implement even one token reform during the GNU because Mugabe bribe them. Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!" boasted Zanu PF cronies during the GNU when asked why MDC were not implementing any reforms.

Some people will defend MDC/CCC leaders even to the point of making complete arse of themselves - not that they will notice it, they are too dum to notice such niceties!

What Zimbabwe need of citizens would can and will think for themselves and not waste time burying their heads in leaders' backside. No wonder they cannot think for themselves - the brains, denied of oxygen, have ossified into fat.

"Chamisa is not foolish to sell Zimbabwe for a song!" The ministerial limo, very generous salary and allowances and all the other gravy train perks are not exactly "a song"!

  10. Zanu PF has rigged elections ever since Zimbabwe's independence in 1980. After the blatant cheating and wantom violence of 2008 elections even SADC and AU, who had turned a blind eye to the rigging in the past, refused to grant Zanu PF political legitimacy.

The 2008 to 2013 GNU offered the nation the chance to implement the democratic reforms and dismantle the Zanu PF dictatorship. MDC leaders sold out by failing to get even one token reform implemented in 5 years. Are you telling me they did the right thing, "to provide proof, why make false claims when the thief can be caught red handed"!

So the nation could have been save the nightmare of rigged elections and failed state by 2013, at the latest, but this was not to be because you wanted Zanu PF to continue rigging. For how many more years is this madness going to continue? Of course, it is idiotic!

If you insist that Zimbabwe elections have been free, fair and credible then you do not need reforms. My position, that of the EU and many others who have observed our elections including the SADC and AU teams to these 23 August 2023 elections is that the elections were NOT free, fair and credible. There really is no point you and me arguing over reforms when we do not agree on the first point - elections were free and fair.

  12. BOLD OR STUPID:-

ZANU PF CONSIDER PULLING ZIMBABWE OUT OF SADC.

By a Corespondent in HARARE ZIMBABWE

When one thinks the Circus in Zimbabwe politics can't get any worse , it actually does. Our Sources in HARARE say the SADC Communique to ZANU PF this week on the upcoming SADC Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government On Zimbabwe in Tanzania this October panicked them. ZANU PF never expected the SADC Leaders to allow this Extraordinary Summit to happen.

A top ZANU PF official Patrick Chinamasa said ," ZANU PF stands against neocolonialism and even those who claim to stand against it during the day but embrace it during the night.. "

Chinamasa said there will be no GNU , TRANSITIONAL AUTHORITY or a rerun in Zimbabwe adding that SADC was , ".. a regional body that should serve and protect the region..if it ceases to... why should we remain there?

Political analysts in Zimbabwe say ZANU PF seems to understand that before pulling Zimbabwe out of SADC they should at least have a two thirds majority in Parliament. The recent events in which opposition CCC MPs and Councillors are being arrested and the latest imposter one Sengezo Tshabangu working under the protection of Zanu PF are all attempts to get that two thirds majority. Tshabangu wrote to Parliament of Zimbabwe speaker recalling CCC MPs and Councillors. He is the Man who fielded candidates in CCC strongholds but ZEC still accepted the candidates even though the CCC protested to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission ZEC that they didn't know Tshabangu in the CCC.

Under the constitution of Zimbabwe pulling Zimbabwe out of SADC can only happen after a REFERENDUM.

This would not be the first time Zanu PF threatened to leave SADC. When the regime was put under similar pressure for failing to hold free, fair and credible elections by the Commonwealth Mugabe pulled out of the club.

Since the AU condemned the 23 August 2023 elections too, Mnangagwa will pull Zimbabwe out of the AU too! At this rate Zanu PF will be considering cutting out Zimbabwe and relocating to somewhere in the Pacific Ocean; far, far from the madding crowds.

If the regime picks a quarrel with the UN; when you are cantankerous picking a quarrel is second nature, we will hop-off on to Mars, Venus or some such planet!

  13. In 2008 SADC refused to grant Zanu PF political legitimacy for failing to hold free and fair elections. Mugabe threatened to leave SADC "if they do stupid things!"

Fast forward to 2023, SADC election observer team condemned the 23 August 2023 elections and Zanu PF is once again threatening to leave SADC."ZANU PF stands against neocolonialism and even those who claim to stand against it during the day but embrace it during the night.."

SADC must stand up to the regime; if they chicken out what hope does the ordinary Zimbabwean have of doing so! This is now about SADC defending the helpless and powerless povo from the ruthless regime that has ridden roughshod over them for 43 years and counting!

  14. @ Mabhena

The primary purpose of the 2008 to 2013 GNU was to implement the democratic reforms designed to end Zanu PF's undemocratic control of state institutions like ZEC, Police, Army, Judiciary, etc and restore the individual freedoms and rights including the right to a meaningful vote and right to life.

The process of implementing the democratic reforms involved any one of the MPs, senators or cabinet member submitting a reform proposal which parliament would then debate and amend and approve. The approved proposal would then be submitted to Mugabe as president for his signature and then returned for implementation.

Not even one meaningful reform was implemented throughout the GNU because not even one reform was even submitted in five years. Why?

Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders with the trappings of high office; the ministerial limos, generous salaries and allowances, US$4 million mansion for Save himself, etc. “Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” Zanu PF cronies boasted when asked why MDC leaders were not implementing the reforms.

“MDC leaders were bust enjoying themselves during the GNU and forgot was they were there for!” one SADC diplomat told The Independent when the results of another Zanu PF rigged 2013 elections came out.

It is sad that whilst most people were aware that MDC leaders were selling out on reforms, many Zimbabweans had no clue not only during the GNU but remain ignorant even today.

Many people have blamed Mugabe, the Army, etc. for the failure to implement reforms and yet they have failed to provide the evidence of Mugabe or Army interfering in the reform process.

The Army staged the 2017 military coup and its influence in the 2017 to 2018 government was there for all to see. The Army’s influence in the 2018 to 2023 administration was reduced and it was reduced even more in the post 2023 elections. There is a cartoon of VP Chiwenga as a decapitated scarecrow with the marauding baboons, draped in the trademark scarf so there is no mistaking their royalty, feasting on the corn. That says a lot about the dreaded deep state!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I have said MDC/CCC leaders have sold out by failing to implement even one democratic reform and that is a historic fact. To suggest that each time I mention Chamisa as one of the sell outs I must mention Mutambara and everyone else is foolish, mentioning him does not mean he was the only MDC/CCC leader responsible. To blame me for MDC/CCC leaders' failures is preposterous but coming from you it is not surprising. You are incapable of rational thinking!

    ReplyDelete
  16. It is not the army, the deep state, who stopped the 2008 to 2013 GNU implementing the democratic reforms.

In the proposed NTA, it is not the army we should fear but the Zanu PF thugs, the scarf draped marauding baboons!

  17. Chamisa has refused to acknowledge Mnangagwa as the winner of the August 23 elections which were condemned by regional international observer missions.
The CCC leader, who rejected the poll results as a “gigantic fraud” has been on a tour of the Matabeleland, where his party won several council seats in rural Matabeleland South and North in addition to its traditional strongholds in the harmonised elections.

    This is just nightmare!

Chamisa is now complaining of the election being a “gigantic fraud” and yet he was the one claiming that he had “plugged all the vote rigging loop-holes”!

What makes Zimbabwe’s situation particularly hopeless is that there are millions of Zimbabweans who are conned again and again into believing these idiots opposition claims. What is more many of these wildebeest herd are well educated with very respectable professions. How anyone can have a university degree and still be devoid of common sense beggars belief!

    ReplyDelete
  18. You forgot to say the opposition was elected to bring about the democratic changes to end the Zanu PF dictatorship. After 23 years, including 5 in the GNU, it is foolish to keep wittering about Zanu PF when it is MDC/CCC who are now keeping them in power! But then, to see that one needs to have an open mind and not be single track minded and myopic!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I would have never believed that Dr Mumba would defend Zimbabwe's gold mafia if I had not listened to the video and heard it with my own ears. He must have known that millions of dollars from the gold mafia are used to bank roll vote rigging activities. It is therefore strange that he, Dr Mumba, would be part of the damning 23 August Zimbabwe election SADC report.

The only rational explanation for this seemingly contradictory behaviour is that Dr Mumba was reading a report which, left to his own device would have never produced. Never!

Still, as a Zimbabwean I am grateful to Dr Mumba and his team for reporting on the election reality existing on the ground, the more so when other SADC election teams have falsified the reality.
