Long before war is declared and the first guns fired the body bags of the first casualties - the truth, always the truth - with start to mount. South Africa’s ANC government is fighting for its political survival and the truth is its first sacrificial lamb.
Successive ANC governments have ruled the country for the last 29 years and have fcuked up (pardon my French) big time. SA is now well on its way to become yet another failed Africa State, some people say it is a failed state already.
South Africa’s economic meltdown is caused by gross mismanagement, on the one hand. The ANC government went for the vote-winning strategy of connecting more and more electricity consumers to the grid and neglected the less noticeable part of investing on the generation and transmission plant, for example. The chicken have finally come home to roost, the country is enduring wide-ranging electricity power cuts, emphatically euphemistically called load shed. The power shortage is so bad that even the country wealth generating mines and industries and essential services like hospital were switch off too!
The major cause of SA’s economic meltdown is undoubtedly corruption. Everyone knows of the well documented “State Capture” by the Gupta Brothers with the connivance of former ANC President Jacob Zuma. A recent “Gold Mafia” Al Jazeera documentary reveal that Zimbabwe was losing a staggering US$1.6 billion per year to gold smugglers. Many South African citizens and institutions were named in the gold smuggling and/or money laundering.
The ANC government has promised to end load shedding and stamp out corruption. Easier said than done!
South Africans are going to the poll next year and given the country’s history of holding free, fair and credible elections (Nelson Mandela’s legacy), the ANC government is worried sick the people will give the party the boot.
President Cyril Ramaphosa and his ANC friends are particularly worried should the ongoing 2023 Zimbabwe elections should result in the Zanu PF regime being booted out of office. Zanu PF’s 43 years in power has been disastrous for Zimbabwe, so much so the country is a failed state - an undisputed a historic fact. The very fact that Zimbabweans have finally successful booted out Zanu PF will galvanise South Africans to want to do the same.
If Zimbabwe was to notch up some significant economic recovery after booting out the corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical Zanu PF regime, this will turn the wave of ANC must go into an unstoppable tsunami! A modest economic recover is certainly possible given the seriousness of Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown today is not a far cry to that in 2008. The Zimbabwe economy recovered to register 12% growth rate in 2009 compared to the -ve 6% in 2008 following the formation of 2008 to 2013 GNU.
The ANC government is engaged in a pre-emptive rearguard fight to stop regime change in Zimbabwe at all cost!
In November last year the ANC resolved that the party will not allow the West to achieve regime change in Zimbabwe through its imposition of economic sanctions. And ever since, the party, particularly Secretary General Filike Mbalula has returned to this theme with passion boarding on hysteria.
“Americans want regime change. Even here in Zimbabwe, Mbeki stood firm. They wanted Mugabe to be change over night and then the attack us on quite diplomas. American can move in the afternoon and by dinner time Mugabe would be finished.” SG Mbalula told ANC Western Cape 9th Provincial Conference on Friday 23 June 2023.
“We do not subscribe to regime change policy. That government must be change willy-nilly through undemocratic means, through military power. We opposite the sanction and said these sanctions against Zimbabwe will be detrimental the economic growth of that country.”
Zanu PF has never ever held free, fair and credible elections since the country’s independence in 1980 and ANC leaders know that. In the watershed 2008 elections the Zanu PF blatant cheating and wanton violence were so outrageous that even AU and SADC, who had turned a blind-eye to Zanu PF vote rigging could not do so then. It was none other than SADC leaders themselves who forced Zanu PF to agree to the need for the country to implement democratic reforms to ensure free and fair elections.
It is a great tragedy that the 2008 to 2013 GNU whose primary task was to implement the democratic reforms failed to implement even one token reform. And so the Zanu PF regime emerge out of the GNU with all its dictatorial powers untouched include the power to rig elections. Zanu PF rigged the 2013 and 2018 elections and, in similar fashion, is rigging these 2023 elections.
It is nonsensical that SG Mbalula should object to undemocratic regime change as a matter of principle when he knows the regime ANC is protecting rigged the elections and therefore, per se, is politically illegitimate in the first place.
Zimbabwe was already in serious economic trouble as evidenced by the country adopting the two, 1990 to 94 and 1995 to 99, five-year Economic Structural Adjustment Programmes (ESAP), meant to revive the flagging economy. The much hoped for revival never happened. In 1999 the WB, IMF and most Western country related financial institution stopped giving Zimbabwe any financial assistance because the country was failing to service its debts much less repay them. This all happened well before the sanctions which were imposed in 2001.
The root causes of Zimbabwe’s economic ruin are gross mismanagement, rampant corruption and brazen lawlessness such as the seizure of white owned farms to give to party loyalists. Zanu PF has enjoyed absolute power these last 43 years because the party rigs elections, giving these problem time to spread and grow.
Zimbabwe is a failed state for the same reasons SA has been marching relentless toward the same goal - mismanagement, corruption and lawless. Zimbabwe had a 14 year head start and no restrain forces thanks to the dictatorial powers to rig elections and claim absolute power.
The sanctions’ contribution to Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown is very small. Zanu PF propaganda has made sanctions a mountain out of a mole-hill.
What Zimbabwe needs to get out of this economic and political mess is implement the democratic reforms and thus cure the nation of the curse of rigged elections and bad governance.
The sanctions’ contribution to Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown is very small. Zanu PF propaganda has made sanctions a mountain out of a mole-hill. It is totally unacceptable that this ANC government should seek to impose this failed Zanu PF dictatorship on Zimbabwe under the pretext fighting the Americans’ sanction initiated regime change agenda.
“Mnangagwa conducted a coup d’etat and removed Mugabe. He implemented some reforms. And still not satisfied until they get their puppet into power, they will never be satisfied. They want Chamisa or is it chancer!” ranted on ANC SG Mbalula.
The military coup was just musical chairs game, no one expected it to produce any meaningful economic changes much less grand political changes such as free and fair elections. No one, that is except SG Mbalula.
This ANC regime is hell bent on keeping this corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship in power against the democratic wishes of the people of Zimbabwe.
The tragic reality for Zimbabwe is both Zanu PF and the CCC do not care about democracy, free and fair elections and good governance. All they care about is power and will use all means democratic or otherwise to secure it. Zanu PF will never implement the reforms to ensure free and fair elections; the party knows it’s 43 years in power was only possible because it rigged elections. Zanu PF will never reform itself out of power.
Nelson Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friends wasted the golden opportunity to implement reforms during the 2008 to 2013 GNU because they were corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent. They have since given up all hope to implement reforms and settled for a share of the spoils of power because there are still to this day corrupt and breathtakingly competent.
“If the elections are so flawed and illegal, then why are Zimbabwe’s opposition leaders participating in these elections in droves?” Mnangagwa has often argued. Of course, he has a point. Meanwhile he has increased the benefits of winning the few gravy train seats on offer to entice the opposition to participate in these flawed elections.
Since 2013 SADC leaders too have used the opposition’s greed as an excuse to grant Zanu PF legitimacy. And ANC will be banking on the same excuse to get the regional body to once again grant Zanu PF legitimacy and thus unwittingly deliver ANC’s objective of no regime change in Zimbabwe.
The real big losers here are the ordinary Zimbabweans who have paid dearly all these years for the reality of Zimbabwe as a failed state. Another five more years of this chaos, economic meltdown and hopelessness is unthinkable. But with Zanu PF, CCC and now ANC working to perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship, it is fait accompli!
(President) Mnangagwa brought some reforms in Zimbabwe, but they (the West) did not want those reforms because they want a man called Chamisa or Chamza.
ReplyDelete"They want him there to be the leader; the new leader of a new Zimbabwe."
ANC's economic performance record these last 29 years is nothing to write home about, SA is well on its way to becoming yet another failed African state. Zimbabwe attained the failed state status years ago.
If the people of Zimbabwe were to successfully vote for regime change in these 2023 elections, the pressure will be on South African s to do the same next year. That pressure would be unbearable if Zimbabwe's economy was to improve after regime change. ANC is determined to see to it that there is NO regime change in Zimbabwe this year!
What has killed the Zimbabwe economy above all else is mismanagement and corruption not tax!
ReplyDeleteLaunching the Zanu-PF rally yesterday, Mnangagwa said, no party must govern Zimbabwe except the liberation organisation.
ReplyDeleteZanu-PF, while prof. Jonathan Moyo in conversation with the SABC a few weeks ago said the opposition was weak.
Speaking to the SABC international editor Sophie Mokoena, Nelson Chamisa responded to these statements and other issues, ahead of elections in Zimbabwe
Chamisa thinks he can have his cake and eat it too, even after making the same idiotic mistake many time before he keeps repeating it! He readily admits that Zimbabwean elections are not free, fair and credible and yet he keeps participating regardless, confident he will win rigged elections. He and his MDC friends had the golden opportunity to implement the reforms during the GNU and they failed to get even one reform implemented.
The truth Chamisa and his CCC friends know the elections are flawed and they are participating out of greed. They keep making these outrageous claims of winning big to hide their greed.
“The electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe’s greatest problem is the ordinary Zimbabweans themselves who have turned out to be shocking naive, thick and slow. CCC leaders have been running with the povo hare and hunting with the Zanu PF hounds for the last 23 years and still the penny has not dropped.
Zanu PF has been rigging elections for 43 years and still they believe in winning rigged elections!
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves,” warned Jesus.
Those who will not heed the warning nor learn from the past are doom to repeat the same foolish mistakes over and over again and pay dearly with each repeat. There is no excuse why any Zimbabwean should be participating in these flawed elections to give Zanu Pf legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship. They have been warned so many times not even the village idiots can say they did not know this was folly!
Addressing a campaign rally in Johannesburg on Saturday, Chamisa pleaded with Zimbabweans in that country to support the CCC. He said:
ReplyDeleteLets us go back and mobilise, we count on you. We want you to help with resources, one rand or US$1 can make a huge difference.
Zambians did it, Malawians also did it, Kenyans also did it, they did it in DRC…if they are doing it, why can’t we also do it?
In the 2018 elections, Chamisa lost to Mnangagwa by a narrow margin and he challenged the results in court alleging rigging.
However, Mnangagwa’s victory was upheld by the Constitutional Court.
The 2008 Zimbabwe elections were a watershed in that Zanu PF was forced to reveal its vote rigging ability. Tsvangirai got 73% of the votes in the March 2008 plebiscite but before the results were announced Zanu PF’s vote rigging juggernaut that was switch off was switched back on.
A recount was ordered and it took six weeks to recount 5 m voters and the 73% was whittled down to 47%, enough to force a runoff. During the runoff Zanu PF used wanton violence.
The primary purpose of the 2008 to 2013 GNU was to implement the democratic reforms. Sadly, MDC leaders failed to get even one reform implemented. The very idea that the country could have meaningful elections without first implementing reform is sheer folly.
“Look, you can't keep on participating in flawed electoral processes that serve to give big benefits to dictators such as Robert Mugabe. Mugabe has perfected the art of winning elections. So it will be very foolish for the opposition to continue legitimizing these sham elections which don't deliver. This country will go through a serious economic crisis in 2020 caused by Zanu PF. And yet, this is the only country where a government doesn't perform, it is encouraged by a super majority in parliament,” said Tendai Biti in a 2015 interview with Isaac Mugabi.
“So you can't continue subjecting Zimbabweans to processes where their hopes just get crushed.”
Biti ignored his own rational position to participate in the 2018 and the 2023 elections out of greed. It is bad enough the country does not have principled and rational opposition leaders. The situation is compounded by having an electorate that is naive, shallow thick and slow, so naive they have failed to understand the primary purpose of the GNU was to implement reforms - even with the benefit of hindsight.

ReplyDeleteAll reform proposals were to be submitted to parliament for debate. Not even one reform proposal was submitted in five years as the then Minister of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Patrick Chinamasa revealed. If MDC disputed the claim, they failed to name even one reform proposal they had submitted!
The folly in Zimbabwe is the failure to appreciate what constitutes free, fair and credible elections and thus establish even the reference baseline for elections. And so here we are 43 years after our independence we are still blundering from pillar to post participating in flawed election, so flawed getting 73% of the vote was not good enough to get Tsvangirai into State House.
ReplyDeleteThe truth is MDC/CCC leaders do not care building the country’s democratic institutions and finally set the country on a democratic path. All they care about is power and the spoils it brings.
This was said by Cyprian Masocha, who is the chief director for curriculum development and technical services in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, reported ZimLive.
ReplyDeleteThat’s why you find that in infant education, we are now putting more emphasis on foundational skills where our learners should be able to read and write as they finish their Grade 2.
When they enter our junior education (Grade 3) they should be able to write.
Masocha conceded some learners were facing challenges with CALA because of their inability to read and write. He said:
That’s why you find parents complaining that ‘we are doing the CALA for our children’.
In most cases, it’s because those pupils are unable to read and write at Grade 6; unable to read and write at Form 3.
This the consequences of the country’s failed education service after decades of being starved of funds. Many teachers have left for greener pastures and most schools are in varying stages of rot and decay.
Why is someone who cannot do grade 2 stuff allowed to on to grade 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 then form 1, 2 and then 3; spending eight more years in the education system and yet cannot do stuff he/she should have mastered after grade 2!
No wonder the best performing schools in Chiredzi Constituency in grade 7, form 2, form 4 and form 6 examinations had 3% pass rate! This was true in most rural setting across the land.
What kind of citizens will these student be if they cannot even read and write? What a criminal waste of humanity!
"The youth brigade… are removed from their families and put through courses of political indoctrination in some camps far out in the rural areas and then they are unleashed on an unsuspecting innocent public and they have caused much damage.”
ReplyDeleteVoter intimidation and violence have marred several Zimbabwean elections - with the country gearing up for another poll in August and a renewed crackdown on opposition figures and government critics.
The sheep - continually bleating the pigs' propaganda slogans - Nyarota likened to Zanu-PF's women's league "whose existence seems to be for the sole purpose of singing praise songs of… the ruling party”.
The pigs in Animal Farm start to act more and more like humans - living it up in the old farmer's house, while the rest of the animals toil away, often cold, hungry and over-worked.
One of the contributing factors to why the Animal Farm revolution failed so disastrously was because many animals had stopped thinking for themselves. Admittedly there are some animals like sheep and ducks whose IQ is so low they failed to learn even something as simple as the alphabet.
In Zimbabwe our revolution too have failed, Zimbabwe is a failed state, and for the same reason - millions of our people are seemingly incapable of thinking for themselves. We are supposed to be humans with an inherent mental capacity far about that of sheep and ducks. We should have learned from the mistake of treating Zanu PF leaders as demigods who must not be questioned much less held to democratic account. We are treating MDC/CCC leaders with the same reverence and devotion.
Only village idiots would give up the fight for reforms and free elections for something as foolish and frivolous as CCC’s Winning In Rigged Elections Strategies (WIRES)! Zimbabweans are participating in these 2023 elections because they believe in WIRES, even after 43 years of Zanu PF Mafiosi rigging elections.
Well George Orwell was right to point out that all humans are equal, intellectually, but some humans are more equal than others. Some nations have more than their fair share of sheep and ducks - they are the failed states and they are stuck!
ANC's "no regime change in Zimbabwe" goes into no holds-barred over-drive calling Chamisa "a puppet". By participating in these flawed elections, out of greed for CCC leaders and ignorance and fear for the rest, Zimbabweans have unwittingly made ANC's goal to grant Zanu PF political legitimacy that much easier!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.zimeye.net/2023/06/26/anc-goes-to-war-against-nelson-chamisa/
This was an impassioned speech but, sadly one not grounded on the capitalist economic reality. Adam Smith address this very question of humanity vs profit and we in Africa are blundering from pillar to post only because we refuse to learn from others.
ReplyDelete“It is not from the benevolence of the Western government much less their capitalist pharmaceutical companies that Africa should expect its covid19 vaccines, but from their regard to their own interest,” to paraphrase Adam Smith.
Africa, led by SA President Cyril Ramaphosa as chair person of AU, was expecting the West to share their covid19 vaccines without having to pay for it. Of course Africa was begging and he has be chutzpah to say “We are not beggars!”
Worse still countries like Zimbabwe was out begging for vaccines, food, etc. and meanwhile the country was losing US$1.6 billion per year to gold smugglers alone. Indeed, corruption was (and still is) so rampant the regime looted the covid 19 free donations!
Africa is endowed with abundant resources and great potential and yet it remains the poorest continent on earth! The continent’s greatest curse is to have brain dead buffoons as leaders given to complaining endlessly about everything and yet failing to address even the most basic challenges right in front of their big noses!
@ Godfrey
ReplyDelete“It’s not that opposition followers are unaware of the existent unfairness - they all believe the system loopholes were exposed and steps have been taken to plug all the Zanu escape routes. Ask anyone - they are all aware
Hence we hear the Adopt a polling station strategies and all
We can talk about the inadequacy of their counter strategies
The theft of 73% win is well known by every Zimbabwean and stakeholder international community especially after ZANU’s own admission.”
This is a vicious cycle. It is either the vote rigging loophole have been plugged or they have not been plugged! Which is which!
Zanu PF has denied 3 m plus in the diaspora the vote, ie 37% of the potential voters. It has refused to produce a verified voters’ roll a basic requirement for free and fair elections. The regime is frogmarching rural voters and is even boasting openly about it, etc., etc. None of CCC’s so called Winning In Rigged Elections Strategies (WIRES), are addressing these key problems. None! None of the loopholes have been plugged! None!
Zanu PF is rigging these elections and all those who participate, directly or indirectly, in any way they are giving SADC the excuse to grant Zanu PF political legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship. Period!
@ Simba
ReplyDeleteZimbabwe has buffoons as its leaders and it is not surprising we are a failed state. Worse still, as long as these buffoons remain in power the country will continue to sink deeper and deeper into the abyss. These 2023 elections are not going to produce any change.
Zanu PF is rigging these elections and all those participating, CCC out of greed and the rest out of ignorance and/or fear, will only give SADC the excuse to grant vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. We are the ones keeping the buffoons in power and will pay dearly for our folly!
@ Africa finest
ReplyDelete“True becoz participating means you have given a green light of a free n fair election ground why then complain just after votes.. poitwa sei.”
If you know participating in these flawed elections with no reforms in place will not change anything and your participation will only give SADC leaders the excuse to grant Zanu PF legitimacy then DON”T participate.
If drinking rat poison will cause you serious pain and may even kill you. You don’t ask what you should do. Even the rat will know to avoid eating the poison again without having to be told!
After 43 years of Zanu PF Mafiosi rigging elections it is insane that Zimbabweans continue to participate in the flawed elections hoping against reason for a different result. Those who refuse to learn from the past are doom to relive the same foolishness and suffer for it.
Zimbabwe is a failed state because Zimbabweans lack the common sense to demand reforms and free elections. They believe they can win Zanu PF rigged elections.
Nothing had changed in Zimbabwe to deserve the lifting of the sanctions. MDC leaders like Mutambara had a seat on the gravy train but the sanctions were not imposed to pressure Zanu PF to share the spoils of power with MDC leaders. Mutambara was given the platform to speak on the task of transforming Zimbabwe from the dysfunctional autocracy to a democracy.
ReplyDeleteBack home he was in the GNU to implement the democratic reforms. He and his MDC friends failed to implement even one token reform in five years.
The sanctions were imposed because Zanu PF was denying ordinary Zimbabweans their basic rights and freedoms including the right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country. Rigging elections remains the number reason Zimbabwe is a failed state.
So looking back, even our cup-cake robotics professor has to ask himself what he was wittering about!
Zambia has pulled out of the deal to co-build a 2400- megawatts (MW) hydroelectric plant with Zimbabwe along the Zambezi River at Batoka Gorge, according to media reports.
ReplyDeleteProper procurement methods weren’t followed when the deal was struck, Peter Kapala, Zambia’s energy minister, told the state-owned Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation last week.
The Zambezi River Authority, an agency jointly owned by Zimbabwe and Zambia contracted General Electric and PowerChina to build the power plant at Batoka Gorge at costs of US$5 billion.
“We are disengaging from that contract and we hope to re-advertise it and revisit everything that was agreed to before,” said Kapala. “Mainly, it was because of the cost, it was just too much.”
Calls seeking comment from Zimbabwe’s Energy and Power Development Minister Zhemu Soda were not answered.
Corruption is rampant in Zimbabwe and therefore the reality that it has once again reared its ugly head and thrown spanners in the works cannot be discounted. Many Zimbabwe projects have failed to take-off the ground because of corruption this will just be one more such project. The opportunity cost to the nation is heart breaking!
These 2023 elections are not going to produce any meaningful change. Zanu Pf is rigging these elections and CCC is participating to give SADC the excuse to grant Zanu PF legitimacy in return for a few gravy train seats.
Zimbabwe is a failed state and we are well and truly stuck!

ReplyDelete“Gentlemen lets not piss in the wind. Reforms and boycott akin to jumping from a speed train. Post election strategy is what is now required. All of us can clearly see that nothing is going to stop this circus within these few weeks. It’s back to the planning table if I may humbly suggest.”
The biggest failing here is people who accept the elections are being rigged and yet feel they must participate and hope against reason that the result may be the change the want. They are choosing to ignore the obvious reality that by participating they are giving Zanu PF legitimacy.
Indeed Zanu PF needs legitimacy and knows that by dangling the few gravy train seats plus the POLAD freebies, the opposition leaders will find the bribe irresistible. As for the public the party knows they are naive and gullible and even Chamisa will con them into believing oxymoronic nonsense like Winning In Rigged Election Strategies. You cannot reason with a moron.
Some of the morons understand that participating in these flawed elections will give Zanu PF legitimacy, God knows that reality has been hammered into their thick heads. Many are going ahead and participating “What else can I do?” they argue.
This is the equivalent to telling someone the stuff that has been making them serious ill is fruit they have been eating. It is contaminated with rat poison. And their response is to eat the fruit regardless because they already have it in their hands. they argue. “What else can I do?”
Yes go ahead and participate! Go ahead and enjoy the rat poison! If some one does not have the common sense to realise the sheer stupidity of the question, they are beyond the pale!
@ Benjamin
ReplyDelete“How can we say boycotting is out of the question before elections have come. Whats to stop the same from happening in the next? Both zanu and CCC have failed us and we must speak publicly.”
The opposition leaders were falling over each other to submit their nomination papers even when it was clear ZEC had failed to produce something as basic as a verified voters' roll. And so Mnangagwa can still make his claim: "If the elections are flawed then why are opposition parties participating in droves!”
What Mnangagwa is waiting to see is whether the Zimbabwe public will participate in these elections in numbers. The signs are they will participate, they are a naive and gullible lot, only a village idiot would believe in these Winning In Rigged Elections Strategies - proof the country has more than her fair share of village idiots. No wonder the country is a failed state!

ReplyDelete“Kana Chamisa akatora chimuti muchaita seyi varume imi. Would you be disappointed. Not at all.”
Insanity is doing some thing over and over again expecting a different result, said Albert Einstein.
The insane are repeating the same thing because the expect a different result although nothing has changed to justify a different result. This is no need to elaborate on that because it is self evident.
Even if CCC won these elections, you can be sure they will not implement all the reforms, if they implement any at all, because the system will now be working in their favour. And so Zimbabwe will never ever hold free, fair and credible elections.
Without first implementing reforms nothing will stop the regime rigging the elections. Implement the reforms and you will not have to waste time on what if! Why is that so difficult for you to grasp!
All this kerfuffle just to avoid implementing the reforms. No wonder the country is in a mess. We really do not even have the common sense to do even the simplest of task right.

There has been a progressive dilution and implosion of the once potent rat poison. Zanu is weakened and anyone with balls now feels confident taking it head on
It’s powerbank of tactics has been exposed
Next time they will be forced to use even less subtle methods to grab (not win) power - excelgate and coup were the last
Also - it’s hard to reform against a coup
Zanu resorts to a blatant coup when everything else fails.
Denying opposition of power after a 73% win was tantamount to a coup
Forging vote figures was a coup in a way
In all cases - we have seen opposition getting the votes but failed at countering a coup in both cases.”
Not even one token reform was implemented since the last elections it is just wishful thinking therefore to expect Zanu PF to do anything other than rig these elections. CCC is hell bent on participating because they are after the few gravy train seats Zanu PF offers to entice the opposition to participate no matter how flawed the process to maintain the multi-party democracy facade.
Ordinary Zimbabweans who are participating in these flawed elections are doing so out of fear (many are frogmarched) and/or ignorance/stupidity (they don’t know their participation will only give Zanu PF legitimacy). There are many who should know their participation will give Zanu PF legitimacy and still the participate out of sheer stupidity.
Of course, Zimbabwe has more than her fair share of very stupid people and that is why we are a failed state.
The devil is in the detail my friend. It is not enough to say we want change and yet participate in the same electoral process, so flawed Tsvangirai failed to get into State House even with 73% of the votes! The challenge is to implement the reforms designed to stop Zanu PF rigging elections!
ReplyDeleteNot even one token democratic reform was implemented since the watershed 2008 elections. MDC leaders waste the golden opportunity to implement the reforms during the 2008 to 2013 GNU.

ReplyDelete“What I am saying is
Opposition has been winning (garnering the most votes) but failing getting into power because of disguised coups. All these win achievements happened without reforms. So I am saying reforms are of no consequence in a coup prone political environment.
I also agree with the suggestion of focusing on solutions after the election results
- We have.”
The 2017 military coup would not have happened if the democratic reforms were implemented and the country was a healthy and functioning democracy.
To suggest that the 2017 coup somehow influence the 2008 GNU’s failure to implement reforms is absurd, to say the least.
The challenge has been to denounce the flawed elections and denounce the opposition for selling out in participating in the flawed elections and thus make sure SADC does not have an excuse to grant Zanu PF legitimacy. Instead of the denunciations all we have done is give one excuse after another for supporting CCC’s participation. Participate but don’t complain elections were rigged much less blame SADC for granting Zanu PF legitimacy.
Zimbabwe Wall of Shame: Saviour Kasukuwere
ReplyDeleteBy Lance Guma
Youth and Indigenisation Minister Saviour Kasukuwere has been anything but a ‘saviour’ for Mount Darwin South, where he is an MP.
A comprehensive dossier exposes him as a violent thug who from 2000 to 2008 beat up opposition activists using an iron bar, while hunting them down using militia gangs.
Kasukuwere led and sponsored the terror gangs that operated mainly in the Mashonaland Central province.
On the 5th May 2008 for example he organized and ferried (using his lorry) a group of over 300 youths to Chaona, Mazowe. The youths beat up perceived opposition supporters, killing 6 and injuring dozens.
Those killed included Tapiwa Meda, Alex Chiriseri, Joseph Madzuramhende, David Tachiwa Mapuranga, Patson Madzuramhende and Joseph Jemedze. The youths were wearing Kasukuwere’s campaign t-shirts and were assisted by uniformed soldiers under the command of Major Cairo Mhandu.
Eight days later the same mob led by Kasukuwere went on another rampage, killing MDC-T supporters Fischer Chitese, Bright Mafuriro and Sairiro Kamufuto. On the 19th May the group struck again, killing activist Phanuel Mubaira.
Unlike many of his colleagues who simply directed the violence, Kasukuwere actually took part.
On the 25th March 2000 Kasukuwere, then still a ZANU PF candidate for Mount Darwin Constituency, organised a 200 strong gang of youths and war vets at Madondo Hotel. Armed with a list of addresses of known MDC-T supporters they went door to door beating up their targets.
“Rememanyanga hariputirwi!” (The truth will always come out!) How anyone who freely vote for a known murderous thug back into power beggars belief. Mnangagwa and the rest of the Zanu PF thugs are in power because they rig elections. Every vote Kasukuwere gets on 23 August 2023 would not be a rigged vote but freely given, that is the subtle difference.
“Disinformation campaigns. Prigozhin also owns the Internet Research Agency (IRA), an online “troll farm,” and the Association for Free Research and International Cooperation (AFRIC), both of which are under U.S. sanctions and have worked alongside Wagner. The IRA previously outsourced work to individuals in Ghana and Nigeria that sought to inflame political divisions in the United States ahead of the 2016 presidential election, while AFRIC has sponsored “phony election monitoring” in several African nations, including Mozambique and *Zimbabwe.
ReplyDeleteOne of the price a country like Zimbabwe with no democratic institution to talk about is nations like Russia and Israel as we saw with Likuv will come in an really make a mess of things. Now that the Russians have a foot hold in Africa, getting them out will be a serious challenge.
In the case of Zimbabwe we already know that the ANC government across the River Limpopo has decided it does not want regime change in Zimbabwe it is easy to see Mnangagwa, Ramaphosa and Putin teaming up to make sure there is no regime change in Zimbabwe. The very fact that Zimbabwe does not even have even something as basic as a verified voters’ roll will only make the task of rigging the elections that much easier.
It is our curse luck that CCC have come up with this foolish idea of Winning In Rigged Elections (WIRE). Worse still that many Zimbabweans were foolish enough to discard reforms and their right to free elections in favour of something as frivolous and foolish as WIRE! We really are a nation of morons and no wonder the country is a failed state.
Africa is richly endowed with mineral resources and the best land and weather to grow all the food we need. The reason why so many Africans are poor and dependent on economic and food aid is because of corruption and mismanagement. Africa's worst curse is the chronic bad leadership.
ReplyDeleteIn typical Africa leaders' style they have teamed up to demand that African leaders must be treated as equals of the developed north. They with the begging bowl, begging and insisting they are not beggars!
If you have a begging bowl and are begging, then you are, per se, a beggar! But more significantly African leaders must stop finding scapegoats for Africa’s problems and concentrate on addressing the curses of corruption and bad governance; the root causes of Africa’s backwardness!

ReplyDeleteEU ambassador to Zimbabwe Jobst von Kirchmann said the invitation to observe polls ‘demonstrates the trust, cooperation and partnership’ between the government and the grouping.
https://chat.whatsapp.com/EC2bAGuv4yyI7dyxDIQ5JM
“The EU warmly welcomes the invitation from the Government of Zimbabwe to observe the harmonised elections of 2023 in Zimbabwe.
“This invitation clearly demonstrates the trust, cooperation, and partnership between Zimbabwe and the EU,” he said in a tweet.
In the 2018 elections, the EU deployed about 88 observers, later reporting that “the political climate has improved, (…) but unequal opportunities (between candidates), voter intimidation and lack of confidence in the electoral process have undermined the pre-electoral environment”.
Last week, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) invited applications for accreditation from persons and organisations wishing to observe the country’s high stakes poll.
Accreditation fees for local observers this year has been pegged at US$10 per individual while those from the African continent shall pay US$100 each.
Observer fees for those manning foreign embassies in Zimbabwe have been pegged at US$300 while those from any country outside Africa will each pay US$400.
The fees for local media practitioners accredited with the Zimbabwe Media Commission and working for foreign media houses is US$100 as is the case with those from the African continent while local media practitioners accredited with the ZMC pay US$10.
However, observers from the African Union, the Southern African Development Community, Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, the SADC Parliamentary Forum, the Electoral Commissions Forum of SADC, electoral bodies in African countries and embassies from African countries are exempt from paying any fees.
Legal think- tank Veritas criticised the fees for allegedly discouraging local and international organisations from seeking observer accreditation.

ReplyDelete“The right to an effective legal remedy was not adequately provided for, there is no equal suffrage and shortcomings in the registration of voters somewhat compromised universal and equal suffrage. Notably, major shortcomings in the pre-election environment impacted on the free expression of the will of electors, state resources were misused in favour of the incumbent and coverage by state media was heavily biased in favour of the ruling party,” stated the 2018 EU Observer Mission final report.
“Further, the electoral commission lacked full independence and appeared to not always act in an impartial manner. The final results as announced by the Electoral Commission contained numerous errors and lacked adequate traceability, transparency and verifiability.
“Finally, the restrictions on political freedoms, the excessive use of force by security forces and abuses of human rights in the post-election period undermined the corresponding positive aspects during the pre-election campaign. As such, many aspects of the 2018 elections in Zimbabwe failed to meet international standards.”
The report made 23 reform recommendations and not even one of the reforms has been implemented. Both Zanu PF and the country’s corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless opposition camp, led by MDC/CCC, have completely ignored the report and its recommendations. The opposition candidate were tripping over each other to submit their nomination papers last Wednesday knowing fully well that ZEC had not produced a verified voters’ roll, something as basic as that.
It is not that the opposition does not know these elections are not to international standards, they know that. They have known that all along.
“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
In 2018 the EU send a 246 strong observer team, there will be no need to send even 1% of that. Why bother, when all they will do is confirm the same flaws, come to the same conclusion and make the same reform recommendations!
To be fair to her, she is not the only one! Name one cabinet member who has the IQ 10 digits above that of a monkey! We are a nation led by buffoon and no wonder we are a failed state!

Nonsense I am not the only one who has said participating in these flawed elections is insane. Coltart has said the same thing and even gave the explanation why the opposition are hell bent on participating - greed.
Participating in these elections is only going to give Zanu PF legitimacy. And for you to be asking what you should do is as foolish as someone being told what you are eating is rat poison and asking what should I do! Are you that stupid that you need to be told don’t participate!
It is not only ZEC that is corrupt the rest of the judiciary is corrupt too. A few weeks ago judges were paid a staggering US$400 000 bonus out of the blue. They are just one of the many professionals and individuals including MPs to entice the opposition to participate in these flawed election who have received a bribe.
ReplyDeleteUZA members knew these elections are flawed and they still decided to participate regardless because they too are after the few gravy train seats plus the POLAD freebies on offer. So what are they complaining about!
The discuss is only meaningful if there is respect for facts and truth. We cannot pretend that paying judges and all those who are going to help Zanu PF rig the elections is wrong. The regime in paying teachers and nurses US$100 per month and yet has the money to pay judges US$ 400 000 bonus over and above they generous salary and allowance just because they play a key roll in turning a blind eye to Zanu PF rigging these elections.
ReplyDeleteThe judges presided over the nomination process. They know ZEC has not produced a verified voters’ roll and the law say this should be done at least one calendar month before nomination day, for example. They all pretended there was a verified voters’ roll. Pretty good wages, US$ 400 000 for pretending!
Nigel Mujuru has the knack for ignoring facts and would argue the US$ 400 000 was a loan, for example, knowing fully well these so called loans are never repaid. In any case, why is government giving away loans, something the banks and other financial institutions are supposed to do. Would the same government give anybody else a similar loan?
The issue of free, fair and credible elections is the key to ending the curse of Zimbabwe being a failed state. It is, per se, a serious discourse and not to be turned into a trivial matter by ignoring the mountain of evidence that Zanu PF is rigging elections!
@ Chris
ReplyDelete“Lone Ranger!!! Isu who support Chamisa and CCC we don't care about that. You can cherry pick your propaganda articles all you want, the country is going for Elections as per constitution. Remember still CCC can still boycott These elections.”
David Coltart has explained to you why MDC/CCC will never ever boycott elections even when they readily admit it is the only rational thing to do because of greed. Greed is not a rational motive!
David Coltart was telling you the truth, the reality. The trouble with some people is they shut their eyes and minds to all things that does not fit their cuckoo land make-believe world. Even after 43 years of Zanu PF Mafiosi rigging elections, they still believe CCC will win big elections so flawed the regime has refused to produce something as basic as a verified voters’ roll.
If some one throwing a six time after time, you should demand to see the dice! Of course, if they have a dodgy dice with six on ALL SIX SIDES, they will throw a six every time with out failure.
Any one who refuse to heed the warning of the dodgy dice deserves to be cheated! Chamisa is telling you CCC will win big now but come 24 August he will be complaining that Zanu PF rigged the elections and you will, as usual, believe him no questions asked much less never hold him to account for all these Winning In Rigged Elections Strategies (WIRES) nonsense.
It is very sad that so many people can be so shallow thick and slow to be conned into believing in WIRES! But that is why Zimbabwe is a failed state, we have more that our fair share of citizens who are insane.
@ Nigel
ReplyDelete“If Chamisa is a tsotsi ingosiya zve ane party yake.

CCC is a voluntary organisation. Ndaitomboti why asina structures then realised kuti after all politics is dog eat dog.
If it works for him fair play, he knows those who follow him will back him whatever the case.”
I totally agree with you that people should leave Chamisa alone to run CCC as he sees fit IF, it is a big IF, Chamisa and his CCC friends are not holding public office or aspire to do so. But since they do both hold public office and aspire to do so in the future THEY ARE democratically accountable to the public.
MDC/CCC leaders have sold out by failing to implement even one reform in 23 years, 5 of which in the GNU, and hence the reason why the nation is still stuck with the vote rigging Zanu PF. By participating in these flawed they are compounding the situation by giving Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship. Why is this simple political reality a complete mystery of mysteries to you?
@ Nigel
ReplyDelete“Judges can preside but what have they got to do with ZEC not providing the voters roll?
Have they got the authority to question or direct ZEC?”
Judges present over the nomination process to make sure all the legal requirements for one to be declared a dully nominated candidate in the election are met. One of those requirements is that the prospective candidate must be nominated by x registered voters in the verified voters’ roll.
There was no verified voters’ roll, ALL the judges know this because it raised countless time these last six months! So the judges were certifying the nomination from a none existent verified voters’ roll! They are paid and paid well to ignore such facts!
Of course, the judges not only have the authority but the duty to ask ZEC why there is no verified voters’ roll. There are they to enforce the law and if the law says there should be a verified voters’ roll then there must be a verified voters’ roll.
So you think it is ok for the judge to pretend there was a verified voters’ roll when it was not there? You argue of a point that is self evident that is why it is tedious and meaningless arguing with you.
@ Nigel
ReplyDeleteThe law is clear, there should be a verified voters' roll at least a month before nomination day! There is no verified voters' roll. The voters' roll ZEC is promising to issue to successfully nominated candidate has NOT been verified by anyone!
How can you have free, fair and credible elections when you have not verified who is going to vote?

ReplyDelete“Ah!!!! Hey! Wilbert is still on about this? It’s been a loooooooong time of this. Years n years of it. Maybe we need to stop and check it out afresh. Munhu haapenge ka uyu. He has a conviction chaiyo. Why.”
Chamisa has kept up his narrative that CCC has Winning In Rigged Elections Strategies (WIRES) and the party is going to win big this year.
I say that Zanu PF is rigging these elections and CCC are participating in the flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy in return for a few gravy train seats. All this WIRES nonsense is to hide the real reason - greed - why CCC is hell bent on participating in these flawed elections.
By sunrise on 24 August, the morning after voting day, it will be clear Zanu PF has the majority i parliament and has won the presidency. Chamisa and company will start complaining that the elections were stolen and thus tacitly acknowledge their WIRES were all just hot air.
How is it possible that so many Zimbabweans have given up on reforms and their God given right to free, fair and credible elections to embrace the oxymoronic nonsense of WIRES beggars belief.
Of course, it is insane to expect change after 43 years of Zanu PF Mafiosi rigging elections. The nationwide and deeply rooted insanity is the reason why Zimbabwe is a failed state.
@ Chaurura
ReplyDelete"Very sad, and e political parties are comfortable with it?? Can't ey take ZEC to e constitutional court.”
Ordinary judges received US$ 400 000 bribe and Constitutional judges are above the ordinary judges and so their bribe was considerably more. It will be just a waste of time, he who pays the judge gets the favourable judgement. We all know the circus of Chamisa’s challenge of the 2018 election result challenge, all we will get is another circus.
@ Chris
ReplyDelete“Do you trust judgement ya Coltart? You quote him religiously in all your articles? The question is do you trust judgement ya Coltart?”
I have said without reform Zanu PF would rig elections. I have said MDC leaders failed to implement reforms during the GNU because they are corrupt and incompetent. I have also said MDC/CCC leaders have participated in these flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed.
I have quoted Tendai Biti admitting on the futility of participating in flawed election. I have also quoted Coltart admitting the same thing but going one step further than Biti in admitting that MDC/CCC leaders are participating in the flawed elections out of greed. Both Biti and Coltart have said nothing about MDC selling out during the GNU.
What I care about is the truth, facts, reason and reality. If a monkey said the truth I will accept it. Do I trust the monkey’s judgement? On the subject matter in which it has already demonstrated and delivered the truth, yes I do. If I can trust a monkey why should I fail to trust a fellow human being as long as he/she speaks the truth!
@ Osama 23
ReplyDelete“Besides boycotting, is there any other solution?”
During the GNU the solution was to implement the democratic reforms. Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends had 5 years and the failed to get even one token reform implemented.
Since the GNU debacle, it was certain participating in elections so flawed one could not change the result and that participating only gave Zanu PF legitimacy the only solution was to boycott. But as Coltart admitted MDC leaders could not do the only rational thing because of greed.
It is one thing for the opposition leaders to participate because they are aspiring to get one of the gravy train seats, POLAD freebies or at least benefit in some other way.
It is insane for the ordinary Zimbabwean who has the intellect to comprehend the full import of “by participating all you do is give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship.” To continue participating is as idiotic as someone who is told what they eating in contaminated with rat poison. And the continue to eat it “because I have it in my hands already!”
@ Osama23
ReplyDelete“Will Zanu pf change its ways just because u fail to participate?”
So what has participating in the flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy ever since the GNU debacle achieved? Nothing other than perpetuating the dictatorship and the nation’s suffering.
You clearly do NOT have the intellect to full comprehend the full import of “by participating all you do is give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship.” Because if you did, you would not be asking such a stupid question.
You have moved from participating, eating the food contaminated with rat poison and argue “because I have the food in my hands already!” to “will the rat disappear if I stopped eating rat poison?”
You will resolutely continue to participate in flawed elections giving Zanu PF legitimacy because Zanu PF will not change its way. Has it ever occurred to you that Zanu PF will never feel the pressure to change precisely because it is getting legitimacy? And you call yourself “smart”! Poor, poor Zimbabwe! No wonder the country is a failed state with no hope of ever getting out of this mess!

ReplyDelete“That boycott stage is water under the bridge, nguva yacho yakapfuura and its way past its sell by date. In fact if CCC had not participated, ED would go ahead and win against Mwonzora. Then what? Let the people vote in large numbers and let’s see how ZEC will manipulate the figures. The world is watching. Not running is political suicide.”
The EU observed the 2018 elections and judged the election process “was NOT to international standard”. They made 23 reform recommendations which Zanu PF has ignored precisely because Mnangagwa KNEW CCC will participate in the elections even with not even one reform in place.
Indeed, if you were in Zanu PF’s shoes you would be very stupid to implement even one token reform and risk losing the elections when you know the opposition would participate no matter what. Well, Mnangagwa is stupid but not that stupid!
“Let people vote in large numbers!” How naive! ZEC reported that as of 30 May 2022 only 1/4m had registered to vote which will be 4% of CCC’s own target of 6m!
In 2018, MDC A emerged as Zimbabwe’s main opposition and what did the party accomplish in the last 5 years? Nothing. CCC will once again emerge as the main opposition this year giving Zanu PF legitimacy and will accomplish nothing the next five years.
“Not running is political suicide.” Yeah but that is because the penny has not dropped that Zanu PF is giving away the few gravy train seats plus the POLAD freebies to entice the opposition to participate and give the regime legitimacy. At least Chamisa and company get their 30 pieces of silver and you and the rest of the ordinary Zimbabweans suffer the consequence of Zimbabwe a failed state. Only a first class idiot would contribute to their own suffering and not see it even after 43 years of rigged elections!
@ Osama 23
ReplyDelete“Tsvangirai used to employ this tactic till they started to call him Boycott.
All his boycotts amounted to naught.
It almost costed him his position in the party and almost lost the party itself.
His faction of the party would later that year boycott the senate elections but his stance had no bearing on Zanu pf's political shenanigans.
Up till today, we still have the senate and his party now participate in those elections every 5yrs.
So this boycott thing is a tried and failed strategy.
Surprisingly some guy have the energy to push for such a poor tactic.
Vaivepiko vanhu ava muna 2005.”
If you want to talk about boycotting elections then you must talk of the post 2008 watershed elections when Zanu PF was forced to reveal its full spread of its cheating and wanton violence. Not even AU and SADC, who had turned a blind eye to Zanu PF’s vote rigging shenanigans in the past, could ignore the madness of 2008. Why anyone would use the 2005 events as his reference point only shows the individual has no clue what he is talking about!
It would not have been necessary to boycott the 2013 elections if MDC had implemented the democratic reforms, which was the primary task of the 2008 to 2013 GNU. With no reforms Zanu PF rigs the elections and participating only serves to give the regime legitimacy. This has been explained a thousand times but we have some “smart” individuals who think they are wiser than King Solomon and yet have clearly failed to understand this and hence keep wittering “boycotting is a failed strategy”.
“Smart” boy has failed to name even one benefit of giving Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuating the dictatorship. How can he name some thing that is not there!
Dictatorship thrive where there is fear, ignorance and stupidity - especially that born of those pretending they know when they have no clue what they are wittering about!
@ Nigel
ReplyDelete“Zanu PF haizeze boycotts, vanoisa FAZ to run for presidential.”
The Zanu PF of pre 2008 of de facto one party state is totally different from the post 2008 to 2013 GNU when the party has kept its vote rigging but must maintain the multi-party democracy facade. It is a delicate tight rope walk. The party is prepared to let the opposition win the few gravy train seats plus the POLAD freebies.
If the Zanu PF created opposition attracted the sort of crowd Mwonzora and Madhuku attracted, Zanu PF knows that the multi-party Zimbabwe facade will be unsustainable.
If the ordinary Zimbabweans were to open their eyes and started question CCC’s participation in these flawed elections the credibility of the party will evaporate like mist under the African sun. This is why Zanu PF has many paid agents whose primary task is to brainwash the CCC wildebeest mob so they keep believing in these idiotic Winning In Rigged Elections Strategies.
Mnangagwa cannot afford to have poorly attended CCC rallies even if that meant busing Zanu PF supporters in CCC regalia one day change into Zanu PF regalia to attend his rallies! If Chamisa has said he did not have the nomination fees - Mnangagwa would have paid it out of his own Gold Mafia war chest!
This is just academic! Zanu PF has not implemented even one token reform recommendation from the EU 2018 Election Observer Mission report. Nothing has changed and therefore Zanu PF is going to rig these 2023 elections just as it rigged 2018 elections.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to note that Zanu PF ignore the implementing EU reforms because the part knew CCC would participate in these elections regardless. MDC failed to implement even one token reform during the GNU because of greed, ZAnu PF knew the same greed will force CCC to participate no matter how flawed the process happened to be.
Zimbabwe is a failed state and is desperate for meaningful change to get out of this mess. Change is impossible because there is no political will to deliver change.
Zanu PF does not want change for obvious reasons, the party is not going to reform itself out of power.
CCC leaders had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms and end the Zanu PF dictatorship during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Mugabe bribed them with the trappings of high office and they failed to implement even one token reform. Ever since the GNU debacle MDC/CCC leaders have given up on reforms and settled for the few gravy train seats Zanu PF dished out to entice the opposition to participate.
Ever since the 2008 GNU, Zanu PF has realised that to avoid being forced into yet another GNU the party must maintain the facade of Zimbabwe as a healthy multi-party democracy. To entice the opposition to participate no matter how flawed the process got, the party has had to allow the opposition to win some gravy train seats and Mnangagwa has since added the POLAD freebies for the losing presidential candidates.
Of course, Chamisa and his CCC know that without reforms Zanu PF will rig these elections, that participating will give Zanu PF legitimacy and yet they participate regardless because of greed.
If EU were serious about getting the reforms implemented and Zimbabwe holding free and fair elections then they should have applied pressure on CCC, not just Zanu PF, to get the reform implemented. The EU just like the Americans have continued to handle the corrupt and incompetent CCC leaders with kid gloves to the detriment of meaningful political change in Zimbabwe!
Japajapa has been pretending that he is after meaningful political change when in reality all he was after is political power. He had his beady eyes on becoming an CCC MP or Senator. When that did not happen he jumped ship to join Zanu PF. To be fair to him the MDC/CCC leaders are after the same thing - power. When MDC leaders got into power during the GNU they forgot about the reforms because they had what they really wanted - power!
ReplyDeleteThis is the response Zanu PF wants to see - the Shakespearean one full of sound and fury signifying nothing.
ReplyDeleteIn 2018 MDC A/CCC vowed to register 6 m voters and by 30 May 2022, after four years, ZEC announce that only 1/4 m or 4% of their target had registered. ZEC has failed to produce a verified voters' roll and so Zanu PF has 1001 ways to rig these elections and get away with it.
These clowns would have done a lot more to help end the Zanu PF dictatorship demanding from Chamisa and his fellow sell out leaders that they must not repeat the foolishness of participating in these flawed elections without something as basic as a verified voters’ roll. Chamisa et al were fight each other last week to make sure they submitted they nomination papers. No doubt, the many CCC clowns happily played their party in signing the nomination papers and contributing, from the little they have, to the nomination fees.
Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have more than our fair share of brain dead citizens foolish enough to participate in flawed elections, so flawed they cannot change the result and all they ever do is give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. Even after 43 years of rigged elections, they still participate expecting a different result!
Russia is in Africa propping up Africa's dictators and Wagner soldiers may not be in Zimbabwe but other Russian operative are there already. Once there removing them will be a challenge and we can be certain they are helping Zanu PF rig these elections! Forget Nikuv Zanu PF has the Russians and we know what they did in France and USA elections!

That is madness and some one has to tell you of your folly!
Zanu PF is rigging these elections and Chamisa and company are participating to give the regime legitimacy out of greed. He has conned dimwits like you to participate believing you will get change when all you are doing is perpetuating the dictatorship. This message must and will be hammered into your empty head!
Yes but more significantly you said CCC was participating in these elections because it is going to win regardless of the Zanu PF vote rigging antics. You know that was a lie! CCC is participating in these elections so flawed there is not even a verified voters' roll out of greed.

Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have the great misfortune of having corrupt, incompetent and ruthless thugs and buffoons in both Zanu PF and CCC who do not care about human rights, justice and the tragic suffering of millions of our people. All they care about is power and the wealth and good life it brings.
You are asking for help to make sure you finally get a gravy train seat on 24 August. You were never ever going to boycott these flawed elections regardless how flawed the process got out of greed.
@ Bachopeneti
ReplyDeleteThe point is the people of Zimbabwe risked life and limb to vote for MDC/CCC on the understanding the party would deliver the democratic changes the nation has been dying for. After 23 years, 5 of which in the GNU MDC/CCC have failed to implement even one token reform. Worse still they have given up on reforms to participate in flawed elections for a share of the gravy train seats. This is NOT what the people risked everything for and Chamisa and company must be held to democratic account for it.
The people themselves must be educated so they know CCC is running with povo hare and hunting with Zanu PF hounds.
You are clearly from the brain dead idiots who think MDC/CCC leaders must not be questioned much less held to democratic account by mere mortals. Zimbabwe is a failed state because the country has had the misfortune to be ruled by corrupt, incompetent thugs and buffoons from both Zanu PF and the opposition and it is idiots like you who have helped to keep them in power.
I am here to hold the thugs and buffoons to democratic account, that is not negotiable, and I will be damned if I will be silence by a village idiot!

ReplyDelete“Not just Tyson but the big boss ED who was endorsed by our highest court in the land - a murderous man from Gukurahundi to date but still our people are busy with kongonya supporting him.”
Zanu PF has been rigging elections ever since 1980 and to keep blaming our people who have been voting for the regime is the most pathetic rhetoric nonsense one can ever say. Why is it that people believe Zanu PF rigged the election the morning after the voting but a week later they revert back to the default setting of blaming the people for voting for Zanu PF?
Blaming the people for Zanu PF’s continued rule is at the very heart of MDC/CCC’s false narrative that the nation can still achieve democratic changes without implementing reforms. The party has found a bolt-hole to justify its treasonous betrayal for failing to implement reforms and for participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy.
If elections are rigged then, per se, the people had no democratic say in the result and therefore it is nonsensical to blame them for voting for Zanu PF!
Well we cannot all be as talented as you. Still what I am saying is true and must be said and I will say it!
