"God has put Mnangagwa in power" - now that must be a false prophesy from a false prophet N Garikai

“We invited [Emmerson Mnagagwa] so that we can pray together and thank God the Almighty who put him in the position he is currently holding,” prayed Nehemiah Mutendi, the leader of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC).

“For him to continue achieving his vision of developing this country, he needs spiritual deliverance.

“[President Mnangagwa] should be inclusive in his approach and must never lose hope in uniting Zimbabweans for the sake of peace.”

It is a great pity that Zimbabwe is ruled by corrupt, incompetent, vote rigging and murderous thugs and a double tragedy that supposedly men and women of the cloth have become these political thugs’ self-appointed political commissars.

Mnangagwa is president of Zimbabwe following a military coup in November 2017 that ousted from dictator Robert Mugabe followed by blatant rigging of last year’s elections; it is therefore blasphemous, to say the least, for anyone to then claim that “God the Almighty who put him in the position”. Since when has God played a part in coups and rigged elections!

“Only God has the power to put people in power ZCC is one of the country’s largest religious organisations,” said Mutendi.

”God saw our troubles and gave us a prophet who has called me here to listen to the word of God,” responded Mnangagwa.

“Your church works with government, we thank you for that … even when things went bad for, I had to jump the border but I’m back. Equally so, we might feel hungry & with His guidance we will find grace.”

What a circus!

The Bible has many lessons for our time. When King Saul became big headed and took it upon himself to make offering to the Lord at Gilgal, the task of the prophet; he was duly punished.

“And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. Samuel 13:13

Zimbabwe is a country blessed with rich in natural resources and some of the best land and climate in the world for grow crops and produce food. Zimbabwe used to be the breadbasket of the region; not anymore. We are now starving in the country which, for all intent and purpose, is the Garden of Eden; a damning testimonial to the sheer incompetence of the country’s leaders!

In Mnangagwa and Mutendi Zimbabwe have both a fooling president and a false prophet and, for good measure, there plenty more just like them. It is little wonder the country has blundered from pillar to post these last 39 years and sunk deeper and deeper into this man-made hell-on-earth!

“God has put Mnangagwa in power” – that has to be a false prophesy from a false prophet!

  1. “Members of the public are accordingly implored to remain calm and not be swayed into joining any violent conduct by the opposition under the pretext or guise of “peaceful demonstration”, warned Home Affairs Minister Mathema.

No doubt the minister will be using brute force to stop the demos under the pretext the demos will be violent!

The opposition must know it is dealing with a regime that will stop at nothing to justify its use of violence to stop the demos and must therefore redouble the efforts to make sure there is no violence on the part of the public. The opposition has disowned the individual involved in the violent behaviour but have failed to provide the evidence to prove it. The opposition must make sure they can definitively identify all those behind all the trouble makers, if there is trouble!

  2. ZIMBABWE Zinghxon Electrical Energy (ZZEE) has begun construction of a 150MW thermal power station in Hwange that is set to boost power generation and stimulate economic growth in the region.

ZZEE managing director, Mr Jun Wen Wang, said the project was being rolled out in two phases with the first stage involving the construction of a 2x25MW thermal power station while the second 2x50MW unit will be added later

The project is welcome or be it it is long over due!

  3. “I think progressive and peace loving Zimbabweans should come together and provide solutions to our economic challenges. Let’s be careful of reducing Zimbabwe to another Iraqi, Syria or Libya – all in the name of Western sponsored ‘democracy’ rhetoric.”

This is just nonsense, Zimbabwe is in a serious economic and political mess and may well slip into even deeper trouble but this will be because of the decades of corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical misrule by the vote rigging Zanu PF thugs. Those holding public demos have been calling for rule of law only to be greeted by the lawless thugs seeking to silence all dissent.

It is tragic that after independence Zimbabwe has clearly failed to deliver freedom, human rights and economic prosperity to its people and is now a basket example of a failed state. The thugs are entrenched in power we have to fight to flush them out or the country will sink deeper and deeper into the abyss!

  4. MOVEMENT for Democratic Change leader Nelson Chamisa, who is plotting a #ShutDownZimbabwe protest, has approached former Botswana leader Ian Khama and Namibian President Hage Geingob in a bid to try and broker talks between him and President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the Daily News reported.

"The problem in Zimbabwe at the moment is politics. You cannot tinker with fundamental issues. They (Zanu-PF) have to resolve the political questions,” said Chamisa.

SADC leaders will remember only too well that Zimbabwe had a golden opportunity to resolve its political problem of rigged elections once and for all during the last GNU and it was none other than MDC leaders including Nelson Chamisa who wasted the opportunity. MDC leaders failed to get even one reform implemented in five years. Former Botswana President Ian Khama will remember this only too well and would not want to involved in yet another GNU which he would know was doomed to fail.

If the last GNU failed to get even one reform implemented what hope is there for the new GNU doing any better given the same players who failed in the first and the key players in the second one!

MDC want to keep their cake and eat it too. The party agrees Zanu PF rigged last year’s election and instead of accepting the regime is illegitimate MDC want to bargain legitimacy for ministerial posts. It is no surprise that Zanu PF is determined to cash in on the legitimacy before even the power sharing talks can start.

"But he (Chamisa) was told to move away from political confrontation and acknowledge president Mnangagwa as the head of State. Former president Khama advised him to start preparing for the 2023 elections because 2018 is a closed chapter," Charamba told the Daily News.

Zanu PF rigged last year’s elections, the regime is illegitimate and should not even be involved determining what happens next. The only reason Zanu PF is still calling the shots is that by participating in the flawed and illegal elections last year MDC gave the process some credibility! MDC greed is the biggest problem here!

  5. Nelson Chamisa's MDC party wants to bring Zimbabwe to a virtual standstill with plans now afoot to take the planned August 16 protest to the rest of the country, NewZimbabwe.com has reported.

Many people would want to participate in the demos but what every level minded person would want to know is what is the end objective of the demos. If the demos are to press Mnangagwa into forming a new GNU then people would not want to participate if they knew the new GNU will accomplish nothing.

  6. God and His prophets have always been on the side of the down trodden, love, justice and peace. Always! These self-proclaimed false prophets like Mutendi and holier than holy pastors like Nelson Chamisa with his "God is in it!" nonsense are all after power and glory for themselves. They are always hobnobbing with the rich and power even the murderous tyrants whose hands are red with blood of the innocent. How anyone can claim than God chose Mnangagwa to be president when the thug blatantly rigged the elections and, for good measure, murdered 7 people just to remind the nation he would not tolerate any dissent.

Chamisa and his MDC friends have sold-out the nation all these years by failing to get even one meaningful reform implemented in 20 years. Right now the party is taking advantage of the people's long-suffering and ask them to join in the street protest on the promise the demos will bring about the democratic changes and economic recovery the nation is dying for. All MDC leaders are after is to secure gravy train seats for themselves.

The power sharing arrangement MDC is after will not bring about any meaningful economic recovery much less democratic change. The last GNU failed to get even one reform implemented in five years and this new one will not do any better.

Indeed, by having this Zanu PF and MDC GNU the nation will be missing out on the chance to appoint an interim administration of independent and competent men and women who would have implemented the reforms and finally got the nation out of this mess. Chamisa and his MDC sell-out know this is true.

"God is in it!" How can God ever be in foolish sell-out plan that will benefit a handful at the expense of the overwhelming majority!

The people of Zimbabwe need to open their eyes and their minds and stop being so naive and gullible! They must question everything they see and not accept everything at face value and follow blindly like sheep to the slaughter.

"Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves,” warned Jesus. Matthew 10:16

  7. "FELLOW Zimbabweans … the situation in our country has moved to another level. Firstly, we wish to assure the nation that His Excellency, President Robert Mugabe and his family are safe and sound and their security is guaranteed," bellowed the harsh-voiced unfamiliar presenter on State television, clad in military fatigue,

"We are only targeting criminals around him (Mugabe) who are committing crimes that are causing social and economic suffering in the country in order to bring them to justice. As soon as we have accomplished our mission we expect that the situation will return to normalcy," added former Zimbabwe National Army chief of staff logistics, Major-General Sibusiso Moyo, on November 15, 2017 soon after the military took over control of State affairs.

The people of Zimbabwe demonstrated just how naïve and gullible they are by swallowing the bait, hook, line and sinker dangled out by the November 2017 putsch. Mnangagwa and his fellow coup plotters had played their role in establishing and retaining the corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship all these years and had enjoyed the lion’s share of the absolute power, wealth and influence the dictatorship brought. Of course, the people were naïve to believe the coup was “targeting the criminals” because those staging the coup were criminals themselves.

The coup was not about ending the corruption much less dismantling the Zanu PF dictatorship and yet the hundreds of thousands who poured out in the streets in support of the coup believed that was the purpose of the coup. The coup plotters were only too eager to encourage the self-delusion.

Even the opposition politicians were falling over each other in their hast to express their approval of the coup. Morgan Tsvangirai left his SA hospital bed in a huff, confident Mnangagwa will cancel the elections due in 8 months in favour of a new GNU and a secure gravy train seat for himself.

Mnangagwa went on to rig last year’s elections and instead of joining all the other progressive minds in demanding that the illegitimate Zanu PF regime must step down to allow the appointment of an independent body that be tasked to implement the reforms; MDC leaders have used the opportunity to renew their demand for a new GNU.

MDC leaders are calling the public to come out in the street and support them in the demand for a new Zanu PF and MDC GNU just as the November 2017 junta had done. The people will be naïve to fall for this one especially so soon after the last con job. It will be a pleasant surprise if the people have learned the lesson; time will tell if they have!

  8. President Emmerson Mnangagwa is the biggest thief, says Thomas Mapfumo.
Mapfumo, whose hard-hitting songs have become legendary for speaking truth to power, accuses politicians of sending money to foreign banks.

Mapfumo says Mnangagwa is the biggest thief and his juniors are emulating him which makes it difficult for Mnangagwa to reprimand his subject.

Mapfumo added that political elites were busy destroying the country's future by taking both the fruit and the branch from the tree yet they want to eat the fruit only.

    Hear! Hear!

Indeed, Zanu PF thugs have again and again cut down the trees to create hungry and despair just so the populous are beholden to the regime. The regime has even committed mass murders and will cut down the remaining fruit trees and burn the lot just to make sure if the party cannot rule the country there will be nothing left for those who come after it.

If only Zimbabwe had only a few more people like Thomas Mapfumo willing to speak the truth to power the country would not be in the mess it is in today. What Zimbabwe has plenty of is sell-out like Professor Mthuli Ncube, Kirsty Coventry and many others who would not only speak truth to power but would distort the truth and/or work with the regime to prop it up for the sake of thirty pieces of silver!

  9. @ Helper Ncube

When you have a country with a nauseating 90% unemployment rate plus a truck load of other man-made problems, I think that is plenty to complain about for nine cat's lives!
The solution is for the people to demand that Zanu PF step down so the nation can appoint an independent body to finally implement the reforms leading to free, fair and credible elections. If Zanu PF is still in power come 2023 then no reforms will be implemented and the regime will rig that year’s elections too!
I would not join the MDC demos because MDC want a GNU that will keep Zanu PF in power till 2023, that is the last thing the country want!

  10. How anyone who knows Mnangagwa's checked history as Mugabe's most trusted thug for the dictator's dirtiest of dirty jobs, ED's hands are dripping with the blood of the many he has murdered, can still say God anointed the thug beggars belief. It only goes to show that when some people meet those in power they lose their heads.

The very fact that Mutendi and many other dim-witted church leaders command a large following is a worry thing. Any naive and gullible electorate is not a healthy thing for a nation. It is little wonder Zimbabwe has suffered from the chronic problem of mediocre leaders.
