“In Zimbabwe there is no friction between Zanu PF and the opposition party!” Mnangagwa boasted at the festive party held at his Kwe kwe farm to celebrate that Zanu PF and CCC opposition MPs had agreed to postpone the 2028 harmonised elections.
Of course, there is no friction between Zanu PF and this surrogate MDC/CCC opposition after all the later is Zanu PF team B in all but name!
The people of Zimbabwe have risked all to elect MDC/CCC leaders into power on the understanding that these leaders will carry out the A1 task: IMPLEMENT ALL THE NECESSARY DEMOCRATIC CHANGES TO END ZANU PF’S DICTATORIAL POWERS INCLUDING THE POWERS TO RIG ELECTIONS.
Morgan Tsvangirai and company have failed to implement even one token reform in 24 years including the 5 years in the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders with the trappings of high office; the E-class Mercedes Benz ministerial limos, the very generous salaries and allowances, the US$4 million mansion for Save himself, etc., etc. With their snouts in the feeding trough, MDC leaders forgot about implementing reforms.
“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” boasted Zanu PF cronies during the GNU when asked why MDC leaders were not implementing the democratic reforms. (MDC leaders have learned to enjoy gravy train good-life, they will never rock the boat!)
Mnangagwa blatantly rigged the 2023 elections, both SADC and AU election observers condemned the election process. Not so with Chamisa and his CCC fiends. Indeed, Chamisa con his supporters to participate assuring them that he had “plugged all the vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!”
Ever since the GNU debacle MDC leaders gave up implementing the democratic reforms in favour of participating in the flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy in return for a share of the spoils of power.
Mnangagwa appreciated the opposition’s new role of participating in flawed elections to keep up the deception that Zimbabwe was a healthy democratic country with a vibrant the opposition. He too, like Mugabe, entice the opposition to play this new role and rewarded them with a few gravy train seats.
In 2018 Mnangagwa created Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD), a super numeral body of the opposition leaders who participated in the rigged 2018 who, however, publicly endorsed the lie that the elections were free and fair and that Mnangagwa was the legitimately elected president. POLAD members were showered with perks including diplomatic passports and a new US$ 60 000 twin-cab truck each.
Every one knew that there was going to be a flood of presidential candidates in the 2023 race, all eyeing the POLAD benefits. Mnangagwa introduced the US$20 000 nomination fee for presidential candidates just to stern the flood of presidential candidates. It worked!
Whether the people of Zimbabwe realise it or not, the truth is Zanu PF has corrupted the MDC/CCC leaders, they should have implemented all the democratic reforms and stopped Zanu PF rigging elections. They should be all over Zanu PF like a rash for blatantly rigging elections! None of these things.
Instead, MDC/CCC leaders have not only sold out on implementing reforms they are participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. “Vakadzidza kare kudya vanyerere!”
Zanu PF has rigged elections for 44 years, the last 24 years of which was with the active connivence of MDC/CCC.
Zimbabwe is a failed state because the nation has been stuck with this corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship for 44 years and counting because the party has blatantly rigged elections.
The mandate to govern the country is given by people of Zimbabwe in a free, fair and credible election. It is bad enough to rig election but blatantly denying the people the fundamental right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country by usurping the people’s mandate is an outrage.
Mnangagwa knows that postponing the 2028 harmonised elections, will be crossing the double red-lines and he will not get away with it! He is throwing this in the political mix to draw the nation’s attention away from the important issue that with no meaningful reforms Zanu PF will rig the 2028 elections and get away with it.
The only way to stop Zanu PF rigging 2028 elections and getting away with it is by making sure Chamisa does not con his brain dead supporters to participate in the flawed 2028 elections in their million as before giving the regime legitimacy. Deny vote rigging Zanu PF political legitimacy and the dictatorship will fall.

ReplyDelete"There is no friction between Zanu PF and CCC!" boasted Mnangagwa. There should be fire-works given Zanu PF has been rigging the elections, the very task MDC/CCC leaders were elected to do ever since the launch of the party in 1999. MDC/CCC leaders have sold out on reforms and have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy.
MDC/CCC are Zanu PF team B in all but name, they are playing to ensure team A wins and get political legitimacy out of greed. They get a few gravy train seats as their reward. "Mazivanhu eMDC/CCC akadzidza kareko kudya anyerere!"

ReplyDelete“In a stunning ruling, the court not only absolved Chivharo of any wrongdoing but also ordered the Zesa to pay a hefty fine for daring to accuse him of breaching his contract. This outrageous decision has left many Zimbabweans wondering if the justice system is indeed broken.
"How is it possible that Wicknell Chivharo can receive government tenders, fail to deliver, and then be rewarded with a court ruling in his favor?" asked a frustrated citizen. "It's a clear case of corruption and impunity and it's unacceptable that our justice system is complicit in this charade."
This is not the first time Chivhayo has been embroiled in controversy. His company has a history of receiving lucrative government contracts, only to fail to deliver on its promises. Despite this, Chivhayo continues to enjoy favor with the powers that be, raising questions about the nature of his relationships with high-ranking officials.
As Zimbabweans struggle to make ends meet, it is galling to see individuals like Wicknell Chivhayo reap the benefits of sweetheart deals and judicial impunity. It is time for us the masses to take a hard look at the government tendering process and ensure that those who fail to deliver are held accountable. Anything less is a betrayal of the public trust.”
Yes the legal system is broken just like many other things in Zimbabwe. The reason why people like Chavhayo, Mnangagwa, etc. commit outrageous crimes against the nation and get away with it is that Zimbabweans hear about all these crimes and they do nothing about it. The stories go in one ear and straight out the other without registering, they roll off like water on a duck’s back.
The ancient Greeks, all those 2 500 years ago, realised that democracy only works if the people are educated, knowledgeable, objective and diligent in holding those in power to account. Zimbabweans are the exact opposite; they are ignorant, naive and gullible!
Universal suffrage has been a curse for us; how can we give some one who is so gullible they believe anything the vote. Chamisa has conned millions to participate in flawed elections to perpetuate their own suffering on the basis of an idiotic lie. The is a real danger that he will do so again in 2028!
Ignorance is in deed a curse worse than death!

ReplyDelete"Go and implement ur own reforms taneta nechi voice heeee zimbabwe this zimbabwe that nxa."
MDC/CCC were elected to implement the reforms and they have failed to get even one token reform implemented in 24 years. Of course, they sold out and they must and will be held to account. Idiots like you do not want Chamisa held to account because you consider him to be demigod.
How any one can be so shallow, thick and slow to think Chamisa a demigod beggars belief! You can curse, swear and fume from every orifice on your body, that will change nothing. Chamisa & Co. are sell-outs and will be held to account - that is not negotiable.

ReplyDeleteZimbabweans are fuming and frothing over Sengezo Tshabangu's political antics and blaming him for the nation's political and economic mess. The truth is Tshabangu is not the one responsible for why Zimbabwe is a failed state and stuck with this corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship. Nelson Chamisa and his cronies are the real culprits. Tshabangu like Mwonzora before him is the fall-guy thrown over board the MDC/CCC wagon to take all the blame of the party's failures whilst Chamisa and the select few emerge squeaky clean ready to con the nation again.
By the time Tshabangu emerged on the political scene in 2023 the damage of giving Zanu PF legitimacy was done and dusted! When are we ever going to learn Chamisa and company are conning us to participate in flawed elections to perpetuate our own suffering!
@ Lynnet
ReplyDeleteThis is a rat race, if the one before bows to impress the chef, you must bow even lower to be noticed! Did you notice that bowing is now not good enough and so some of the bootlickers were bending their knees! This is nothing new, Joseph Chinotimba and others used to knee before Grace Mugabe!
The tragedy is that once the culture of grovelling has taken root, it has taken root in Zimbabwe and spread far and wide in society, it is near impossible to uproot. Of course, we are in trouble!
The Zimbabwe African National Congress (ZANC) has added its voice to calls for postponing the 2028 harmonised elections, suggesting President Emmerson Mnangagwa's term be extended to 2030 to allow for the completion of key developmental projects. The party's position aligns with the Citizens' Coalition for Change (CCC), the main opposition party, which has also supported deferring the elections.
ReplyDeleteZANC President Timothy Mncube said the proposal to delay elections prioritises the country's developmental trajectory, emphasizing that President Mnangagwa's administration has initiated numerous transformative projects requiring continuity. He highlighted the achievements of the Second Republic, which he believes should be consolidated for the nation's benefit.
"Considering the significant progress made, extending President Mnangagwa's term to 2030 would provide the necessary time to complete ongoing projects and ensure a smoother transition. ZANC remains steadfast in its mission to serve as a vigilant and constructive opposition party," Mncube stated.
This is just nonsense. Why should the development projects, if indeed there are there, stop just because Mnangagwa is no longer in office?
“Kufa komujoni kamba haivhari!” (The prison does not close just because the Commissioner has died!) as the Shona adage says.
This is not about Mnangagwa needing more time to finish his project, that is just the smoke screen to hide the real reason for seeking to postpone the 2028 elections - greed. Mnangagwa is desperate to stay in power, so desperate he will do anything including breaking the law, rig the elections and will even kill.
We want Zimbabwe to be a democracy that respect the rule of law and that no one is above the law. Mnangagwa is not above the law and that is the simple but firm message we must send to Mnangagwa.
Mnangagwa rigged 2023 elections just as he has rigged past elections denying the ordinary Zimbabweans a meaningful say in the governance of the country. He is seeking to extend his illegitimate rule by denying the people the vote in 2028. This is an outrage and it must and will be resisted!

ReplyDeleteOne cheer for the Zimbabwean who has finally realised that MDC/CCC will never deliver the democratic changes the nation has been dying for. One cheer and not three cheers because:
1) It has taken 24 years for the penny to drop, an inordinate period to notice given MDC/CCC had failed to implement even one token in all these years
2) there are millions of others in whose empty heads the penny will never drop, the mud is too thick
3) worst of all Chamisa is gearing to con the brain dead to participate in flawed 2028 elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuate the dictatorship and the nation's suffering!
@ Wilfred
ReplyDeleteThe millions who still consider him a demigod do so because they are blind until the penny drops they will continue to follow him blindly. We will never ever have a healthy and functioning democracy as long as we have millions of voters who are ignorant, naive and gullible! Never!

ReplyDeleteMnangagwa has bribed and/or coerced his follow Zanu PF members and then the opposition to endorse his drive to stay in power beyond his fixed maximum term ending 2028. He should know that rigging the 2028 is crossing the double yellow lines, he can rig but will not get away with it. Postponing the 2028 elections is crossing the double red lines - he will NOT get away with it!
Enough is enough of this Zanu PF lawlessness. Zimbabwe is going to put an end to this Zanu PF tyranny.

ReplyDelete“She participated and then resigned from the sham patly. She hS more testosterone than you whose sole purpose is to verbalise your frustrations!”
Do not rewrite history to suit yourself. Mahere has participated in these flawed elections knowing fully well doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy. She did nor care as long as she got a set on the gravy train. In the 2023 elections she got her wish, she did win the gravy train seat. She took up her seat even after SADC and AU condemned the election process as flawed and illegal.
Fadzayi Mahere would have never given up the MP gravy train seat for anything. She was forced to give up the gravy train seat or be recalled. Sengezo Tshabangu had recalled some CCC leaders and she was no friend of his! Since when has greed become proof of one awash with “testosterone”!

ReplyDeleteWhen Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends failed to implement even one token democratic change during the 2008 to 2013 GNU it was because Robert Mugabe bribed them with the trappings of high office. They returned his bribes by forgetting about the reforms.
So by the end of the GNU in 2013 the die was cast, "Alea iacta est!" MDC/CCC were serving Zanu PF for a share of the spoils of power. The real tragedy here is that it has taken 25 years for some Zimbabweans to finally acknowledge MDC/CCC leaders are running with the povo hare and hunting with the Zanu PF hounds. The penny has yet to drop in the great many Zimbabwean's head; it is doubtful that it will ever drop!
@ Siyabangena
ReplyDelete"On the contrary she resigned out of principle and standing with chamisa
What did she get from the so called gravy seat as you allege
Where in africa has an election boycott ever worked? Even globally."
MDC leaders failed to implement even one token reform during the GNU because Mugabe bribed them and not because Morgan Tsvangirai did not believe implement reforms would stop Zanu PF rigging elections. By the same token, MDC/CCC leaders have participated in flawed elections out of greed!
@ Siyabangena
ReplyDelete“Idol worship ani manje apa
I just stated facts in the public domain
The question remains where in SADC , AU , EU and Americas has an election boycott ever worked l just want 1 example than this rhetoric rubbish by grown ass man in economic exile that participating in elections is selling out.”
Zanu and Zapu boycotted the Smith, Muzorewa and Sithole’s 1978 Internal Zimbabwe-Rhodesia Settle elections. Millions of ordinary blacks did not bother to vote. The whole world saw this and hence the reason why the Zimbabwe-Rhodesia did not get political legitimacy.
Morgan Tsvangirai and friends could not boycott the June 2013 elections even after SADC leaders advised them to do so because MDC leaders were to blame that not even one token reform was implemented during the GNU. Patrick Chinamasa, the Zanu PF minister of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs told the SADC leaders that Zanu PF would not postpone the 2013 elections because there were no outstanding reforms to be implemented.
Indeed, MDC leaders had not submitted even one token reform proposal in the five years of the GNU.
You have no clue what you are talking about! You are just an empty drum making a lot of noise!
@ Siyabangena
ReplyDelete“Besides it being a rerun we did not suddenly get to a rerun handiti pakanga paitwa participate in the general election that gave birth to the rerun saka thats not an example l just want to prove to mukori that you first participate not boycott and expect magandanga to surrender power or share power coz of boycott.”
The March 2008 vote was the nearest Zimbabwe has ever got to holding free and fair elections and so MDC had no cause to boycott that elections. Mnangagwa unleashed the Zanu PF Youths, War Veterans and personnel from the Army, Police, CIO and Prison Service to destroy property, rape, beat and murder in Operation Mavhotera Papi during the run-off and that was why Tsvangirai withdraw from the race.
MDC leaders’ number one task during the 2008 to 2013 GNU was to implement the democratic reforms to stop a repeat of the 2008 blatant heating and wanton violence. Alas! Tsvangirai and company were too busy enjoying the gravy train good-life they forgot about the reforms. They knew without reforms Zanu PF would rig the elections and that participating would give Zanu PF legitimacy still the participated in the 2013 elections and all that followed for two reasons:
1) they knew Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate, they were after the bait.
2) Most important of all MDC/CCC leaders could never boycott the elections because they want reforms to be implemented when they are the ones who failed to submit even one reform proposal during the 2008 to 2013 GNU.
As I said, you are commenting on matters you do not know, that are clearly way above your intellectual ability. You are a simpleton you should shut up and not make a complete arse of yourself!
@ Godfrey
ReplyDeleteAre you counting Chamisa, Tsvangirai, Biti, Ncube, Coltart, etc. as Zanu PF team B? You should because they were all in the MDC that failed to implement even one token reform during the GNU!
@ Professor Jonathan Moyo
ReplyDelete“THEM:
"If you don't support Nelson Chamisa or you disagree with him or you criticise him, you are a sellout, an enemy of the people, a betrayer of the people's struggle, and you are mentally sick."
PUBLIC EYE:
Ok. Please yourself!”
Do you realise that is exactly what Zanu PF has been saying for the last 44 years, including the years when, you, Professor Moyo was the party’s chief propagandists and strategist. The subtle difference between CCC and Zanu PF is that the later had the political muscle to backup its threats with brute force. No doubt Chamisa and his cronies have been longing for the day when they too are in power and can wield the stick and the carrot!
The tragedy for Zimbabwe is the people have risked all to elect MDC/CCC leaders into office to implement the necessary democratic reforms to end the Zanu PF dictatorship. Chamisa & Co. have not only failed to implement even one token reforms in 25 years but have been copying Zanu PF’s dirty tactics so now we have Zanu PF thugs as well as opposition thugs to fear!
“Former Finance Minister Tendai Biti has issued a stark warning of a potential economic bloodbath if Zimbabwe does not liberalize its exchange rate and inject liquidity into the economy. His concerns come amid persistent liquidity shortages, exchange rate volatility, and a surge in business closures and corporate rescues.
ReplyDelete"Companies are paying the price of an uncertain political regime and exchange rate mismanagement. The introduction of the Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) currency has only brought chaos to the economy," Biti told NewsDay Business.
The ZiG was introduced in April last year as Zimbabwe's sixth attempt to establish a stable currency in over a decade. However, Biti criticized its implementation, stating that it has worsened economic instability.
Biti warned that businesses are struggling with punitive debt charges and limited access to affordable capital, which could lead to a complete collapse in aggregate demand.”
Zimbabwe is a failed state because the country is stuck with a corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical regime that rigs elections to stay in power. 44 years of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption have left the country in economic ruins.
The country had many opportunities to implement the democratic reforms and end the Zanu PF dictatorship with the best chances coming during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Tendai Biti and his MDC friends sold out and failed to implement even one token reform. Ever since the GNU debacle Biti & Co. have participated in flawed elections to give ZAnu PF legitimacy for a share of the spoils of power.
Biti & Co. have taken it upon themselves to remind the nation just how miserable we are under Zanu PF to win the confidence of the ignorant and gullible Zimbabweans. They have then conned these people into participating in flawed elections to secure the few gravy train seats knowing this would perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship and the people’s suffering.
Ignorance is a curse worse than death. In their ignorance the people are being conned to perpetuate their own suffering!
@ Benjamin
ReplyDeleteIt is a historic fact that ALL the MDC N and MDC T leaders who were in the 2008 to 2013 GNU sold out on implementing the democratic reforms - that is a historic fact that can be denied but not changed!
@ Fanuel Chinowaita
ReplyDelete“Zimbabwe’s opposition politics, once a symbol of hope for a nation yearning for democracy, has lost its way. What was once a movement fighting for the people’s cause has shifted to serving personal interests, leaving many disillusioned and questioning whether the opposition can still be the force for change it once aspired to be.
The late Morgan Tsvangirai, the founding leader of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), embodied the true spirit of opposition. From 1999, Tsvangirai led a relentless fight against Zanu PF’s authoritarian rule, culminating in the 2009 Government of National Unity (GNU). His vision was clear: a Zimbabwe free from oppression, where democracy and unity prevailed. He had an unmatched ability to rally diverse voices under a single cause, demonstrating his belief in collective action as the path to change.”
Morgan Tsvangirai did NOT “relentless fight against Zanu PF”, this is a lie! Mugabe bribe Tsvangirai and his MDC friends with the trappings of high office; the E-Class Mercedes Benz, the very generous salaries and perks, the US$4 million mansion for Tsvangirai himself, etc., etc. In return the MDC leaders kicked all the reforms out of the window.
“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” boasted the Zanu PF cronies when asked why MDC leaders were not implementing any democratic reforms during the GNU.
Zimbabwe is still a failed state today precisely because MDC leader not only sold out on reforms but have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed.
It is infuriating that any one would still want to rewrite MDC history even now with the benefit of hindsight. Tsvangirai and his MDC friends sold out that is a historic fact!
“Notable CCC faction members in attendance included, Thokozani Khupe, Kucaca Phulu, Juliana Makuvire, Nonhlanhla Mhlotswa, Charles Moyo, Bridget Nyandoro, Samantha Mureyanj, Otillia Sibanda, Lillian Sibanda and Constance Chiota.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking during the event, Tshabangu rubber-stamped Mnangagwa’s bid to remain in office beyond his constitutionally permissible two terms, which end in 2028. The 2030 agenda, now dubbed “Resolution #1” will come through constitutional amendments to defer 2028 polls to 2030, thereby automatically extending the MPs’ tenure.
“If our presence here improves your stay in power and makes the people of Zimbabwe happy, then let it be,” Tshabangu said, amid deafening applause from Zanu PF legislators and members of his ‘sellout’ CCC faction.
Parliament of Zimbabwe said the field tour of the 82-year-old Zanu leader’s property was the first time that all MPs gathered for a familiarisation tour in a show of political and democratic maturity in the country’s politics.”
This is just nonsense, the MPs and the president get their mandate to govern from the people through the holding of free, fair and credible elections. The said mandate is for a fixed period, five years. The mandate to rule does not include the power to extend the fixed mandate and so all this talk of parliament usurping the people’s power is treasonous!
Mnangagwa and the MPs must know that postponing the 2028 elections is political dynamite because it will, potentially lead to political instability. No nation can ever allow such recklessness. It is high treason and Mnangagwa must know he will be crossing the double red lines if he was ever to allow this to happen.
