"CCC will win 2023 big. God is in it!" None of Chamisa's many prophecies have come to pass. None! W Mukori

“We are His creation and His possession. We belong to Him.” stated Nelson Chamisa.

“This assertion encapsulates a fundamental aspect of Chamisa’s identity—a belief that governance and leadership are divinely ordained responsibilities,” responded some one in Zimeye.

“To Chamisa, his political endeavours are not merely about securing power but also about fulfilling a divine purpose.

“Chamisa’s declaration that “Whenever we move our lips, we must testify and confess the power, glory, and greatness of God” underscores his commitment to intertwining religious expression with political discourse.”

This is just hogwash with no intellectual nor theological merit. None!

  1. i) God does not do for mankind what mankind can easily, easily, do for themselves. The people of Zimbabwe have risked livelihoods, limbs and thousands have lost their lives to elect Nelson Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friends to implement democratic changes, reforms, to stop Zanu PF rigging elections. They have not only failed to implement even one token reform in 23 years but have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. Are we to expect God to implement the reforms and, no doubt, to stop Chamisa and company participating in flawed elections out of greed!

  1. ii) “CCC would win big the 2023 elections because I have plugged all the Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes. God is in it!” promised Chamisa. The truth is CCC was participating in an election with no verified voters’ roll, voters were being frogmarched to attend Zanu PF rallies (and would likewise be frogmarched to vote), etc., etc. Chamisa did not even have the common sense to deploy election agents at all Polling Stations, for Pete’s sake. Chamisa has repeatedly put God to the test! “You shall not put the LORD your God to the test,” the Bible tells us.

  1. iii) Chamisa has repeatedly claimed divine inspiration, that something or other would happen, God is in it. And again and again his prophecy has not happened. The truth is Chamisa is NOT divinely inspired, he just claims to be which is a different matter. Alas! We have some of the most ignorant, naive and gullible people on planet earth, they believe anything, and so that they should believe a false prophet is no surprise!

  1. When Zimbabwe launch its as “structured currency” meaning link to the gold 1.00 ZiG = 1.0 mg Gold = US$ 0.06.

    US$ 1.00 = 16.67 ZiG

    (at gold price of 1g Gold = US$ 60 or 100 ZiG = US$ 6.00.)

So the ZiG has already started losing its value before it is officially released.

    US$1.00 = ZiG 23.00

The ZiG has already lost 41% of it value in two weeks! The nightmare will start in earnest next week when there are more ZiG sloshing around in the system.

RBZ blaming WB for poor ZiG advice!

So the regime is acknowledging the ZiG is doom already and, as usual it is already hunting for scapegoats to blame!

  2. This is a vote of no confidence in the ZiG from none other than RBZ Governor John Mushayavanhu himself.

Come 30 April the new ZiG currency will hit the market and as usual those with the economic muscle to reject the ZiG and at what exchange rate if they accept it will be the big winners. The big losers are those who have no such economic muscle and are forced to accept the ZiG at what ever rate - take it or leave it - who are the losers.

What comfort will it bring to the millions of Zimbabwe so lives will be hell on earth as a result of the ZiG losing its value and making doing business near impossible. We can all join the regime in blaming WB but to what end and purpose!

So, dictator General Evergreen, who is allowed to say that Zimbabwe is a failed state and that the corrupt, incompetent and murderous Zanu PF thugs, aided and abetted by the MDC/CCC sell outs, are responsible for the mess?

We desperately need to concentrate of ending the curse of rigged elections and bad governance but are forced to waste time debating who has the right to be heard! Some of the sheer stupidity one has to put up with!

Here we go again! So only those who are in Zimbabwe KNOW what is happening in the country and are ALLOWED to talk about it?

If you do not have the common sense to know that knowing what is happening in Zimbabwe is not a prerogative of those living in the country, gender, race, etc. it is no surprise you have no idea what a failed state is.

All you need to know is that I have never allowed village idiots to tell me what I can talk about! I am not going to start doing so now!

  6. This is a stupid argument, she is a European who believes in SA and hence the reason why she is in SA. He is a Zimbabwean who is always praising Zimbabwe to the high heavens and yet, like millions of other Zimbabweans, has left the country to escape the economic hardship and/or political oppression. Of course, he is the snake speaking with a forked tongue to gain favours with the regime by denying the reality on the ground at the expense of the long suffering majority!

What is the point of providing any evidence when you are preprogrammed to reject and deny it all. If you believe there is no evidence of corruption, lawlessness, etc. in Zimbabwe then you must be one of the few who do so and I have no time to waste engaging such a fool!

Mnangagwa continues to claim that Zimbabwe is on course to become an upper middle income nation by 2030. All nonsense, of course, the country's economy has been in decline for 44 years and counting with no sign of any economic recovery. He continue to sell this mirage only because he will never ever be held to democratic account - not as long as Zanu PF continues to rig elections.

MDC/CCC sold out on reforms, we need to elect opposition leaders who will implement the reforms. It is shocking that even after 23 years some people still refuse to accept that CCC leaders are corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless. What will it take to open their eyes!!!

The ZiG has already lost 41% of its value on the black market in two weeks before the paper ZiG is release for circulation. Many predicted that the currency was doomed to lose its value but few thought it would happen so quickly.

We have been over this before. I believe Zanu PF rigged 2023 elections and those in the past thus confirming that nothing had changed, Zimbabwe was still a de facto one party state.

You believe Zanu PF did not rig last year’s elections, and thus confirming Zimbabwe is a healthy multi-party democracy. You welcome to your view and I will never waste time arguing on that point!

  11. Zimbabwe’s new currency has wiped out a gain of more than 330% on the stock market this year, leaving investors dealing with the fallout.
The ZiG, short for Zimbabwe Gold, was launched on April 5 and succeeded the Zimbabwean dollar, which had lost 80% of its value this year. The new currency has so far gained more than 2% against the US dollar since its debut.
The volume of trades in stocks and the value of transactions have plunged as the exchange converted share prices to the new unit.
Zimbabwe's New Currency Has Hurt the Stock Market
    Source: Zimbabwe Stock Exchange
Prior to the conversion, investors piled into stocks as they sought refuge from the local dollar’s collapse and surging inflation that in March stood at a seven-month high of 55.3%.

Zimbabwe is a pariah state governed by corrupt, incompetent and murderous thugs who have remained in power these last 44 years because they rigged elections. There will be no meaningful economic recovery much less prosperity as long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state!

My number one beef with Rutendo and many other Zanu PF buffoons is the rigging of elections and denial of ordinary people's right to free, fair and credible elections. Mnangagwa and this Zanu PF government complete with its CCC sell-outs are illegitimate because 2023 elections were rigged! How an idiot like Rutendo can pretend the regime is legitimate beggars belief!

Rutendo should stop pretending that he has SA children when to justify his stay in that country especially when he has been denying the crippling economic problems in Zimbabwe - the main reason he too left the country.

"Surely by now he is legal in SA. All the UK varakashi on these group are proud British citizens who took an oath to serve the then Queen. Dont be deceived by their words."

The point is no one should deny that many Zimbabweans HAVE left the country for economic and/or political reasons even if that was not the reason why he left the country. Zimbabwe is having very serious economic and political challenges, that is a historic fact that no one should deny especially for selfish reasons! Mnangagwa is a corrupt, incompetent and murderous thug who rigged 2023 elections to stay in power. To deny that fact to carry favours with the dictator is unacceptable Period!

    ReplyDelete
  15. You missed the point! Rutendo has been claiming that Zimbabwe is doing well when the reality is the exact opposite. He is lying for the purpose of carrying favours with Mnangagwa. Many of them will know Rutendo for his spirited praise of Zanu PF and denial of the regime being the root cause of their suffering. If you are going top defend him then please answer the question. Is he saying he has been defending Zanu PF all these years because he was abused as a child? Of course, it is a feeble excuse for selling out millions of the long suffering masses.

There are humongous profits to be made from the huge difference between the official and black-market exchange rates. The exchange difference could be ten fold plus; no wonder many Zanu PF chefs are the money changer godfathers and are using state brute force to keep the competition out. V P Chiwenge money changers are risking dying cripples!

For the record, since Zimbabwe is using multi-currency system it is perfectly legal for anyone to trade in currency as well as the usual goods and services. Therefore there is no such thing as illegal money changers! This is just another case of Zanu PF abusing its dictatorial powers!

The ZiG is doomed to fail just as the Z$, Bond Note, etc., etc. before it! It is the poor and those without the economic muscle to refuse the ZiG as the currency who will lose the most from this nightmare!

It is true that Zanu PF as a party of thugs working with white criminals; we know that already and, most importantly, denouncing the regime from the roof top will not end the dictatorship. Zanu PF blatantly rigged the 2023 elections because MDC/CCC leaders sold out and unless we implement the reforms Zanu PF will rig 2028 elections too.

We must focus on implementing reforms and stop wasting time howling at the moon! FOCUS!

The ZiG is doomed to fail and I do not need to wait no more that I need to wait to know vision 2030 is a mirage.

Zimbabwe is a failed state it is shocking that some people are still willing to believe the Zanu PF lie that one of these fine days the nation will wake up an upper middle income nation and all will live happily ever after. 22. The governor has been digging inside a hole; he is not stopping.
In a further effort to defend his currency, Mushayavanhu told a Zimbabwe Independent’s post-monetary policy statement review breakfast meeting in Bulawayo that the World Bank provided consultancy on the structured currency, meaning ZiG.
“We didn’t know much about a structured currency. We got a consultant from the World Bank. A lot of the things you’re seeing about the structured currency actually came from the World Bank," he said.
“So, if you’re going to blame me, you’re actually blaming the World Bank. Maybe they didn’t advise us properly. And if they did not advise us properly, it’s fine. Let’s refine it."
Now this is a public relations disaster. He has put himself in a corner and internationalised the problem.
In his mind, this lends credibility to ZiG, but it doesn't.
It just fuels controversy and illegitimacy of the currency.
The other issues which have raised credibility issues about him include his promise there would no printing of money under his governorship.
People and the market know the Zanu PF government's spending patterns better.
This government can't survive without printing money unless it dramatically shifts its wasteful spending approach and love for luxuries.
How, for instance, will it pay for its expensive infrastructure projects without international funding, development finance or lines of credit?
So Mushayavanhu has put his head on the block and it will be chopped because he can't vouch for Zanu PF embracing fiscal discipline or probity.
The new currency has attracted controversy for many reasons: That it is backed by gold and foreign exchange reserves; it's a gold-backed currency; it's widely seen as merely another Zimbabwean dollar version; it's a fake or quasi-currency; and that government just cut off the three zeroes, which is nothing new.
Despite being loquacious and a busybody on it, Mushayavanhu has not been convincing at all - in fact his pronouncements have been underwhelming and making things worse; most importantly eroding confidence in the currency.
To start with, the market knows that the so-called reserves are woefully inadequate - a mere 2.5 tons of gold (for a gold-producing nation at that) or U$285 million (Cristiano Ronaldo's annual salary) is nothing to write home about for a mineral-rich country.
Of course, it's surely better than nothing, but the whole country cannot come to a standstill due to those peanuts in a national economic and currency value proposition context.
Second, it is simply untrue that ZiG is a gold-backed currency. It is also false that Zimbabwe has had a long history of using gold currencies. It has never used gold as a currency at any given time in its history.
Third, it is true this is a fake or quasi-currency, not real; just a stop-gap measure like bond notes.
Fourth, there is no difference between ZiG and bond notes and other quasi-currencies like traveller's cheques, special agro-cheques and those bank notes which ran into trillions.
Fifth, Mushayavanhu should stop digging because he is already stuck in a deep hole. Otherwise, he will sink with his ZiG as it zigzags into oblivion.

Governor Mushayavanhu knows only too well that the ZiG is not backed by gold or foreign currency reserves, it is all a lie. He knows that the ZiG is doomed suffer the same devaluation as the Bond Notes, the only unknown is how quickly and how long it will last before it too is discarded.

When it comes to local currency, Governor Mushayavanhu knows the Zanu PF modus operandi launch new currency with the usual fun fair, ngenje ngenje to US$, the panacea to all the country’s local currency problems. The new currency will lose its value and when the number of accumulated zeros becomes unmanageable relaunch the local currency under a new name!

Zimbabwe has been independent for 44 years and already it has changed the name of its local currency more often than many nations have changed their currency in 3 000 years!

  23. Those working for Zanu PF godfathers are free and the rest are being made to pay for regime's incompetency. One of the advantage of being a dictator is you are not accountable when things go bad and can always find scapegoats to blame (WB) and even to punish (money changer)!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Exactly! The regime has said Zimbabwe will remain a multi-currency nation until 2030 so we can use any currency. The regime accepts that there are some goods and services that MUST be paid in foreign currency only such as fuel and customs duty.

So why is it illegal for people to trade currency especially since the foreign currencies are not readily available at the banks! This is just another example of the regime declaring something is illegal just to create a monopoly for the select few to operate.

The Police crackdown on money changers will not stamp out the blackmarket trade in foreign currency, it is to benefit the criminals. The money changers are criminals only in so far as the criminal regime say they are criminals!

There are some people who insist that by calling for the implementation democratic reforms, the prerequisite for free fair and credible elections, I am doing Zanu PF's bidding. Of course, they are stupid; since when has Zanu PF desired reforms and free and fair elections?

These people are either diehard MDC/CCC supporters who cannot bear to hear the truth - that Zanu PF has continued to rig elections precisely because MDC/CCC leaders sold out by failing to implement even one token reform these last 23 years! Or they are Zanu PF agents masquerading as MDC supporters for the purpose encouraging the MDC/CCC herd to continue participating in flawed elections and thus perpetuating the Zanu PF dictatorship.

We cannot get Zanu PF to implement any reforms before 2028 elections. We cannot stop Chamisa et al participating out of greed. What we can do educate the gullible supporters of the sheer folly of participating to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuate their own suffering!

Zimbabwe is a failed state and for the 49% plus of our people now living in abject poverty, they are desperate to see the back of this nightmare. I am telling them that the only sure way to end the Zanu PF dictatorship is for the country to cure itself of the curse of rigged elections - a boring subject to you but not to them.

I am here to make sure reforms remain on the national agenda until we have free, fair and credible elections. I am determine to end this 44 years and counting of rigged elections. I am not here to entertain you.

“Wilbert I know you too well. Even when MT launched NERA the strongest vehicle the opposition ever created to spearhead electoral reforms you were on the forefront of attacking NERA. You were even opposed to the NERA mass protests and rallies that made the word Reforms a household word. How then did you ever want those reforms to be achieved.”

MDC leaders had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. The primary purpose of the GNU was to implement the democratic reforms, I have said this a hundred thousand times.

MDC leaders failed to implement even one token reform because Mugabe bribe them with trappings of high office; the ministerial limos, the generous salaries and allowances, the US$ 4 m mansion for Tsvangirai, etc., etc. “Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” boasted Zanu PF cronies when asked why MDC were not implementing reforms.

A few honest MDC leaders in the GNU like Arthur Mutambara have admitted they took their eyes off the reforms.

“As a collective political leadership, we should have taken time to apply our minds to the existential question:

    “What next after the GNU?”
We did not address this matter.
This was suicidal.” confessed Professor Arthur Mutambara in his Book In
Search of the Elusive Zimbabwean Dream, Volume III (Ideas & Solutions).
I dismissed the launch of NERA post GNU as paying lip service to reforms because Zanu PF was never going to implement an reforms especially when it was clear all those calling for reforms had sold out during the GNU and would do so again by participating in future elections with no reforms implemented.

As you said, you lot did hold your NERA mass demonstrations. Not even one token reform was implemented and, as I had predicted, you all participated in the flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy.

Zimbabwe is a failed state and the golden opportunity to cure ourselves of the double curse of rigged elections and bad governance was wasted by MDC/CCC sellouts. The people of Zimbabwe have risked all to elect MDC/CC leaders to implement the democratic reforms and stop Zanu PF rigging elections not to pay lip service to reforms “to make reforms household word”; you flatulent nincompoop!

I certainly would not want to hammer at the people “only hope out of the mess”! The question you must answer is: What exactly Chamisa and company done these last 23 years, including the 5 years in the GNU, to to the people out of the mess?

I believe MDC/CCC had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms during the GNU and they failed to implement even one token reforms. They have participated in flawed elections knowing fully well Zanu PF was rigging and participating would give Zanu PF legitimacy.

“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.

“It’s not about poking the wrong person
It’s about making the wrong conclusions and being blind to the real problem which is
Zanu is not willing to abide by the laws
Zanu is not willing to provide free and fair platform
Zanu is already breaking the laws that promote free and fair elections
    Zanu is abusing power
The laws aimed at providing conditions for a free and fair election already exist but are being broken by Zanu

Yes it is true Zimbabweans have failed to get Zanu to get off its high horse and only NC has been BOLD and COMPETENT enough to compete and get some meaningful results under the circumstances
SADC has failed to get Zanu comply with their demands too
SADC ‘s demands are aimed at protecting the rights of all citizens whether they participate in elections or not including those who do not rally behind NC
So for example Zapu and Diaspora cannot accuse and blame NC of incompetence - why are we
Similarly SADC cannot turn around to Diaspora and say NC is to blame for denial of diaspora voting rights.”

I totally agree with you Zanu PF blatantly rigged the 2023 elections as all the election observer of note have rightly condemned the process as flawed and illegal. That is proof, is it not, that what ever reforms and laws were passed during the 2008 to 2013 GNU were not adequate to ensure free, fair and credible elections.
Indeed this was the view of the SADC leaders hence the reason they wanted the 2013 elections postponed until electoral reforms, at least, could be implemented.

In short the GNU did not do enough to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections. So you are wrong to expect Zanu PF to hold free and fair elections post GNU, that is the point.

MDC/CCC leaders did not implement the democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections and they have been participating in flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy. They have participated regardless out of greed. It is not only me saying that!

“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. 34. It is a historic fact that blacks hunted down the fellow blacks and sold them to the white slave traders. I am sure that there were many who had sold other blacks, found themselves being sold as slaves in turn and, no doubt, they cried like babies!

The tragedy is the foolishness of selling fellow blacks to outsiders has continued to this day or be it in another form. Mnangagwa is selling off the nation’s diamonds, gold, lithium, etc., to the Chinese and other foreigners for a song. This is the wealth that should benefit all Zimbabweans and not the few ruling elite. And Mnangagwa is using some of the looted wealth to bolster the corrupt and tyrannical regime keeping him in power and the masses in poverty!

In this case, the solution is clear, you should not participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship.

Zanu PF has been rigging elections these last 44 years because of the same nonsense - no reforms to stop them rigging the elections. And unless we implement the reforms the regime will continue to rig elections. It is shocking that some people think ignoring the reforms, by burying their heads in the backsides of leaders, will make the problem go away.

Reforms will remain on the national agenda until they are implemented.

No wonder we are a failed state, we really have some of the most idiotic people in the world and, to crown it all, they have the voice and vote! One has to justify why we need to end the curse of rigged elections and bad governance. Cry the beloved country!

Did you know that Zanu PF started withdrawing the local currency soon after the launch of the ZiG on 5 April 2024 and yet did not have the ZiG paper money to fill the gap. As we speak, the nation is facing the hardship of shortage of local currency for normal day to day use. This crisis is set to last another five more days to 30 April 2024 when the ZiG paper money will finally be released.

Indeed, MDC/CCC have given up implementing reforms to ensure free, fair and credible elections. The party now claims it has Winning In Rigged Election Strategies (WIRES). Plugging all Zanu PF vote rigging loop holes was one such WIRES!

After 23 years with not one reform implement and thus 44 years of Zanu PF rigging the elections we really cannot afford to let this idiotic pantomime carryon continue.

In March, the Zambezi River Authority (ZRA) set the average electricity generation for Kariba Power Station at 214 megawatts (MW) against its installed capacity of 960MW due to dwindling water levels.

Zimbabwe and Zambia share equally water to generate power at their separate power plants at Lake Kariba.

As of yesterday, the country was generating 1 074MW broken down as 300MW from Kariba and 774MW from Hwange.

Bulawayo, Munyati and Harare power stations are currently incapacitated.

Zimbabwe has only added Hwange unit 7 and 8 generating capacity since independence in 1980. These should have been added in the 1980s plus Batoka Gorge (Kariba mark 2). The nation has paid dearly for this failure.

This time a year ago, Al Jazeera screened the Zimbabwe Gold Mafia documentary giving details of how 80% of the country's US$2 billion per year gold production was being smuggled out of the country. The documentary named many Zimbabweans involved in the smuggling including Mnangagwa himself. No one was ever arrested, as far as I know.

Zambian authorities have just found three suitcases with gold and others with US$ on a private jet that flew from Zimbabwe. The looting of gold, money, diamonds, etc. out of the country is still going on.

It is sad to note the wealth looted is being used to keep Zanu PF in power and as long as the country remains a pariah state it will be near impossible to get meaningful political change. We are is serious trouble alright!

“The term "village idiot" is a somewhat outdated and derogatory expression that refers to a person who is perceived as foolish, dim-witted, or intellectually disabled. Historically, the term was used to describe someone who was considered the least intelligent or most eccentric person in a small community or village.

The term is often associated with stereotypes of someone who is:

    - Lacking in common sense or judgment
    - Prone to making foolish decisions or mistakes
    - Unable to understand complex ideas or concepts
    - Often the butt of jokes or ridicule

It's important to note that this term is now widely considered to be offensive and dehumanizing, as it perpetuates harmful stereotypes and stigma against people with intellectual disabilities. It's essential to treat everyone with respect and dignity, regardless of their cognitive abilities or differences.”

Excellent definition! Now let us be very specific.

Would you say some one who has fail to comprehend something as basic as what constitutes free and fair elections and participated in elections “so flaw and so illegal that the logical thing was to withdraw.” He/she did not withdraw because they were conned into believing CCC would win big as Chamisa had plugged all vote rigging loop holes. Would you agree such a person lacked common sense or judgement, etc. and therefore is indeed a village idiot?

There is nothing “dehumanising” about saying someone who lacks common sense, they lack common sense especially if so doing will help the said person and/or society get out of the serious mess we are in.

After 44 years of rigged elections, 49% living in abject poverty, etc. only a village idiot would be obsessed about trivial matters like calling a spade a blood shovel!

I do not need to be one of the suffering millions to know they are angry at those behind the mess.

This is not about village idiots per se but just another desperate attempt to silence all criticism of MDC/CCC leaders, the untouchables. The village idiots sold out and, per se, are accountable. Period!
