"Insanity is repeating the mistake over and over again expecting a different result" and peer pressure is it's midwife W Mukori

No one should undertake anything with the intention to fail. Being pragmatic means doing everything in your power to maximise the chances of success by considering all possibility of failure and taking the necessary measures to counter the negatives.

It is possible that you will still fail. The smart thing to do then is to learn why you failed. The foolish thing to do is to fail to learn from one’s mistake because the chances are you will repeat the same mistake again and fail again.

And just as success breed success, failure breeds failure. The more often you fail the greater the chances you will fail again and all because you failed to take time off to learn from the past.

There are many who will start frothing round the mouth each time I point out that MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement even one reform in 23 years, 5 of which in the GNU. “Let’s move on!” they would scream. “We cannot drive forward whilst looking in the rear-view mirror! We need to dwell in the present and prepare for the future.”

The very fact that these fools look to Chamisa and his CCC friends to get the nation out of the political and economic mess we are in is proof they have never taken time out to ask the obvious question: what changes have Chamisa and company brought in 23 years, 5 of which in the GNU? Because if they had done so then they would know the answer is not even one change.

Of course, it is foolish to trust CCC to get us out of the mess when they have failed to deliver even one change in 23 years. After 23 years of one failure after another because they are corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent. Only a village idiot, who too does not have the common sense to learn from 23 years of repeated failures, would entrust his/her life and the destiny of the whole nation to some one with a proven track record of failure.

It would be unforgivable for some one of sound mind to allow themselves to be sweared into entrusting their dog’s comfort much less their life, to a failed leader to placate a village idiot. Even if the village idiots constitute the majority, as they do in Zimbabwe’s case.

  1. The people of Zimbabwe we are a naive and gullible lot but even then there has to be more to it than that when it comes to elections. Zanu PF has blatantly rigged elections for 43 years and counting and still we participate expecting the opposition to win because Chamisa said so!

I can forgive the rural voters who are frog matched to vote for Zanu PF, they do not have a say in the matter. Not so with the urban voters and the millions of Zimbabweans in the diaspora whose solid support is the backbone of CCC.

Many Zimbabweans do not know what constitute free and fair elections, not even something as basic as verified voters' roll, and so they cannot demand from ZEC and Zanu PF something they don't know. 43 years of independence, in this day and age, and still ignorance rule the roost! Of course, if you do not appreciate the importance of a verified voters' roll you will participate in the elections thousands of times and still be none the wiser how you are being cheated.

  2. @ Arthur Mutambara
“Understanding the Import of the Arithmetic of Section 161 (6) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe. The minor arithmetic differences in their numbers for allowable minimum and maximum voters in a constituency are insignificant.
Veritas does a great job of identifying the possible source of ZEC’s error.”
Arthur Mutambara is one of those individuals who dazzle you with brilliance or baffle you will bull and to the naïve and gullible usually mistake the latter for brilliance! Here he is dishing out the usual bull s***t!
The number one question the readers have to ask is has ZEC produced a verified voters’ roll?
Everyone will tell you ZEC has stubbornly refuse to produce a verified voters’ roll. The copies of the voters’ roll the public have seen from time to time have all been full of errors to render them meaningless.
So what is the point in going through the delimitation report with a fine tooth-comb when the voters’ roll on which the report is based is shambolic?
Even if ZEC were to accept all the recommendation from people like Mutambara and implement them to the letter and spirit, this delimitation report will still be trash because it is NOT based on a verified voters’ roll.
The production of a verified voters’ roll is a must have in the production of a delimitation report and this is not negotiable. This is something Mutambara and his MDC friends have clear failed to grasp because they have participated in elections with no verified voters’ roll!
Mutambara and his MDC friends wasted the five years of the GNU on trivial matters and failed to implement even one democratic reform hence the reason why we are still stuck with a useless ZEC that cannot produce something as basic as a verified voters’ roll!
Zimbabweans have to wake-up and stop wasting time listening to bulls***t from the likes of Mutambara! We have don’t have time to waste if we are ever going to get out of this s***t these Zanu PF thugs and MDC sell outs landed us into!
