"1987 Unity Accord brought peace!" Shut up! It was capitulation and de facto dictatorship W Mukori

It is a matter of public record that Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi of Zion Christian Church (ZCC) is one of Zimbabwe’s many church leaders who have received farms, generous bank loans and many other benefits from the Zanu PF in return for his blind support of the corrupt and tyrannical regime. Bishop Mutendi must remember that Zanu PF propaganda is not historic fact and must never confuse the two. Never!

“Bishop Mutendi said unity among different ethnic groups in the country dates back to December 1987 when the late former President Robert Mugabe and the late Vice President Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo signed the Unity Accord which brought together PF-Zapu and Zanu (PF),” reported The Chronicle.

Correction! The 1983 to 1987 Gukurahundi massacre was about coercing Dr Joshua Nkomo and his PF Zapu supporters into giving up their democratic right to belong to a political party of their own choice and for the said party to contest for public office in free, fair and credible elections. Lest anyone should forget the 1979 Lancaster House constitution made Zimbabwe a multi-party democratic republic.

PF Zapu was, without doubt, Zanu PF’s main political opponent in post independent Zimbabwe.

So, after five long years of reign of terror and barbarism at the hands of state security services that left hundreds of thousands of mainly PF Zapu leaders and supporters beaten and maimed to say nothing of the destroyed properties and livelihoods and over 20 000 innocent civilians murdered in cold blood; PF Zapu finally buckled and signed the so called Unity Accord. It was PF Zapu capitulation, clearing the way for Zanu PF to impose the de facto one-party dictatorship which the regime has ruthless enforced under the pretext of unity, peace and development.

"Let's be careful of external forces who turn us against each other. As citizens, we should not allow individuals and organisations being sponsored by Western countries to divide us," Bishop Mutendi told his audience in Gwanda.

"For us to develop our country, we must remain united and maintain peace. As a church, including leaders of the country, we should continue praying for our country."

How naïve! Zimbabwe is a textbook failed state; a pariah state ruled by corrupt, incompetent and murderous thugs who rig elections to retain absolute power whilst the loot the nation blind. Four decades of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption have left the country in economic ruins, basic services such as education and health care have collapsed and 49% of our people now live in abject poverty.

Zanu PF is rigging the 2023 elections and, to be absolutely certain of victory, the regime will brazenly use wanton violence just as it did during Gukurahundi and the 2008 run-off.

"We would like to thank Bishop Mutendi for the work that he is doing by moving around the country preaching peace and development. This is the kind of partnership that we need as Government," Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister, Abedinico Ncube, praised Bishop Mutendi.

"Church leaders play a crucial role in the community and we need them to change the mindset of the people and to bring everyone on board. As churches let's continue to play our part in building society."

The church and church leaders have always been the last line of defence, calling for peace, justice and rule of law, speaking truth to power, on behave of the oppressed and voiceless. Not so in Zimbabwe, the church leaders are Zanu PF political commissars spreading party propaganda from the pulpit for a share of the spoils of absolute power.

Church leaders praying for peace knowing all along that it is the Zanu PF regime; they are crediting for bringing peace, unity and development; whose insatiable greed for power and loot is the root cause of the country’s culture of political violence and tyranny, the economic meltdown and the tragic human suffering. With Zimbabwe’s political, economic and political stability now at stake; we, Zimbabweans, own to ourselves and posterity to tell sell outs like Bishop Mutendi they are sell outs! Shut up!

Mnangagwa is blatantly rigging these elections and Chamisa, the eternal optimist, accepts the mountain of evidence of the rigging and wanton violence but only to regurgitate the evidence as proof Mnangagwa is panicking.
Of course, Mnangagwa is worried! He is aware his “Zimbabwe is open for business!” mantra has failed to revive the Zimbabwe economy. With 49% of the people now living in abject poverty, he knows the nation is desperate for change. And his response is throw the vote rigging juggernaut into overdrive.
The important question is what is Chamisa and company doing to either stop the blatant rigging and/or counter it? Unless CCC can stop the rigging and/or counter it, Zanu PF is once again heading for another landslide victory. And by participating in the flawed elections CCC will give SADC the excuse to grant Zanu PF legitimacy.
Mnangagwa is not only rigging these elections but he is also making sure CCC participate no matter what by letting CCC win some of the gravy train seats, as happened in the recent by elections, and paying MPs US$ 40k bonus for house over the usual US$60k for a car and generous salary and allowances. He is even paying losers through the POLAD scheme.
Chamisa and company will participate in these 2023 elections no matter how flawed the process get for the sake of 30 pieces of silver. CCC are perpetuating the Zanu PF dictatorship and the misery of the nation for 30 pieces of silver. How long are we going to allow this madness to continue????????

“I totally agree with that ..the system has and will never succumb to fibble pressures , they are already doctoring the Constitution to their liking , they talked to follow their own Leadership Code of Conduct , their own manifesto from 198o and I am sure whatever I on paper has no meaning to them. We are failing to see the really calibre of those in power , it's not like they are politicians they will kill main lie intimidate promulgate laws to suit their agenda , so maybe we need a really strategy really strategy ,besides that we will continue to cry analyse without the changes coming.”
Zanu PF won the 2/3 majority in parliament and in the senate and the presidency in the 2018 elections, this is a Zanu PF government and of course they do as they like. The 2008 to 2013 government was NOT a Zanu PF government nor an MDC government but a government of national unity whose primary task was to implement the democratic reforms and stop the blatant rigging and wanton violence of 2008, among other things.
Why did the GNU fail to implement even one reform in five years?
We both know that MDC sold out big time. Mugabe bribed them with the trappings of high office and the rest is history.
We both know that there many Zimbabweans out there who had placed so much faith and trust in MDC leaders they will never admit MDC leaders are corrupt and incompetent. Never! They will not accept the confessions of MDC leaders themselves for such is their convictions. Some have come up with all manner of feeble excuses why MDC leaders failed to implement even one reform in 23 years, 5 of which in the GNU.
Those who decide to disregard the truth and reality that MDC leaders are corrupt and incompetent and utterly useless are welcome to their foolishness. It is foolishness and they must be reminded of it particularly since they want us all to follow CCC and continue participate in these flawed elections.
Zanu PF is rigging these elections and CCC are participating to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed! The message must be crystal clear and not contaminated by feeble excuses to message misplaced egos! Even the VI must know and understand the message!

“Whatever you can say CDE or how u can discourage the mass to vote.... They will vote n we are going to vote ... weather rigged or not rigged.
Your ideas are not from someone who has suffered in the hands of these guys.
It seems you are enjoying life to it's fullest thus y day in day out u always post nonsense on this platform
We must have a way to build our nation for the better of us all not few individual.
Bt u keep on posting dat mdc or ccc failed to implement any reforms.
Yes they failed so wat.....yes u are an incredible learned someone bt they can't go back to 2013 takatobvako mukuru.
Moreover we participate to exercise our right
Imimi mukurwadziwa nei CDE....siyai tingovhote isusu magrade7.”
So, you agree MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement even one democratic reform in 23 years, 5 of which in the GNU. Well, that is progress. I will bet, a few months ago you would have never admitted that. Well let’s see if we can hammer a few more home truths into your empty head!
I totally agree, that you have a right to vote but surely even an idiot like you will know that your right to vote is meaningless if the election process is so flawed that some one getting 73% of the votes is not good enough to win! Surely the rational thing to do then is to implement reforms to make sure this does not happen again and not just keep on participating giving the vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Zanu PF has been rigging elections for 43 years and MDC/CCC not only wasted the golden opportunity to implement reforms and stop the rigging but are dragging their naïve and gullible followers to keep participate and expect a different result.
It would be irresponsible for any Zimbabwean out therewith half a brain not to stop this insanity.
My message to you and all the other Vis out there is you have the right to vote but that right comes with the duty to others. In your foolishness to follow CCC blindly you are perpetuating the Zanu PF dictatorship.
Zanu PF is rigging these elections and CCC are participating to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed! The message must be crystal clear and not contaminated by feeble excuses to message misplaced egos! Even the VI must know and understand the message!

“Sir the birth of GNU was as a result of voting....and there is no way CCC or mdc have access to implement anything as for now.
I never disagree with you dat they failed to implement my argument with u is based on the fact dat ccc must not fold hands n fail to participate in an election bcoz they will remain outside.
Better few pple enter into the system and find a solution from within

I think thus my last contribution mashefu tozobatana after election...kuti even nekubira ikoko nyika inozongorwadza kutonga n majority are the one 2 suffer chete.”
Who said the GNU was not born out of participating in the 2008 elections and the many before that! For your own information I was a candidate in a by election in 1994 and believe my participating then contributed to the changes leading to the 2008 elections and the GNU.
The important point here is the acknowledgement of the 2008 as the watershed elections that forced even SADC to accept the political reality that Zanu PF was rigging elections and that without reforms there would be no meaningful elections. Not only did MDC/CCC sell out in failing to implement reforms but they are undermining the drive to get the reforms implemented by participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy.
It is not enough to just say you admit MDC sold out by failing to implement reforms especially if you follow the sell outs by participating in the flawed elections! Which part of “by participating you give Zanu PF legitimacy” are you failing to understand?
Universal suffrage should have been a blessing but like many things in Africa it has turned out to be a curse. We have more than our fair share of VIs and they have a vote and they have been conned by both the tyrants and sell outs into voting to undermine the common good. The VIs are justifying their insanity in the name of my right to vote!

Zanu PF has the results of the 2023 elections already, a landslide victory! Zanu PF is rigging these elections and blatantly so too. ZEC has just confirmed that there will be no verified voters' roll, for example, so only Zanu PF knows WHO is on the voters' roll how they will vote and how many times!
These elections would not be going ahead without something as basic as a verified voters’ roll in any country where the people have an inkling of what free and fair elections are. To be fair, some of the MDC/CCC leaders like David Coltart and Tendai Biti, know Zimbabwe elections are a farce and have pointed out the folly of participating. Their voices have been drowned by those who want to participate because they are after the few gravy train seats Zanu PF is offering as bait.
It is not that MDC/CCC do not know Zanu PF is rigging these elections, they know that. They are participating regardless out of greed.
Muzorewa and Sithole knew the 1979 Zimbabwe – Rhodesia Internal Settlement turned the black majority into second class citizens with the whites remaining first class citizens. They went along with it for the same reason Chamisa and company are participating in these flawed elections – GREED.
Zanu PF has denied 3 million in the diaspora the vote, has no verified voters’ roll, last week it paid CIO directors US$350 000 each (down payment for helping the party rig the election, paid MPs (including MDC A and CCC) US$40 000 bonus, etc., etc. No wonder the party is confident of winning the 2023 elections!

The most important point he has raised here is that blacks are more concerned about “tribal imperialism” than national development; the trivial issues at the expense of the important issues. And as the nation flounders from pillar to post they look for someone else to blame for their failures instead of looking in the mirror and thus compound their situation. Instead of addressing their ignorance and narrow mindedness which is the root cause of their wasting time and energy on trivial matters, making a mountain out of a molehill, they are out fighting shadows.
In Africa blacks are fighting to stop white colonialist hell bent on recolonising Africa. And there is growing hostility against the Chinese and yellow men who have been looting our resources, when it is our leaders who invested into the country and are letting them loot in return for keeping them in power.
As a people, blacks have rarely taken the trouble to understand issues beyond the superficial, potato skin deep. The video talks of democracy, we don’t have democracy in in Zimbabwe. After 43 years, we are yet to hold free and fair elections because we have yet to know what constitutes free elections. We have yet to produce something as basic as a verified voters’ roll.
MDC/CCC have not only sold out on reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging elections, they have given up on reforms and free elections. They are now the oxymoronic nonsense of “winning in rigged elections” and guess what, many Zimbabweans are swallowed the nonsense no questions asked.
We need “revolution”! Did we not have one that ended with the independence in 1980, 43 years ago? And already we need another revolution! If there is one thing that is tearing Africa apart it is endless revolutions, with yesterday liberators becoming today’s oppressors and hence the need for yet another revolution and liberator!
What we need is to stop and think to break the vicious cycle but when your have an ossified brain and incapable of thinking beyond the superficial potato skin deep, that is mission impossible! Revolution is no substitute for rational thinking!

“Revolution like it or not becomes inevitable in stalemate scenarios.
True and in our case the last revolution was to remove white colonialists but only to replace them with black nationalist tyrants hence the need for another revolution!
The brother is right when he says "Democracy" is an imperialist tool for destructing Africans from real developmental issues.
Zimbabwe’s economy is in total ruins, there has not been any development; that is clear. Do we have democracy in Zimbabwe? We have failed to hold free and fair elections in 43 years, for Pete’s sake. Is that proof of a healthy democracy?
Tribal imperialism must be taken within the same context. Tribalism or rather divide and rule is fuelled by imperialist provocateurs with the same aims and objectives for destabilization and ultimately detraction from economic self-reliance and social development. Imperialists fear real revolution and not mere coups.
Who are these imperialist provocateurs? This is shadow boxing, blaming sanctions for the economic meltdown to draw attention away from the real causes, mismanagement and corruption. The economic meltdown started long before the 2001 sanctions were imposed, for example. Of course, if you can hardly remember what happened last week much less a year ago, you believe anything.
Revolution talked about here is what Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X and even Nkrumah advocated for. It is a revolution that involves “conscious awakening" in the Black man and brings about a new universal order.
The revolution to end white colonial rule was what Nkrumah talked about but it did not bring about a new order unless you think changing white oppressor for a black one is a new order!
Africa has everything and is placed at the centre by the Mercator geographical projection! Zimbabwe is becoming not a typical but an exceptional example of different ideologies at play. One might be persuaded to think its good governance "democracy" versus corruption dictatorship etc.
What ideology is at play in Zimbabwe? Ignorance, greed, fear and chaos are what I see!
None of the two are the actual cause because Zimbabwe for many years has proved to be the right environment for "peacefully" propping up regimes that adhere to foreign influence.
Are you saying Zimbabwe has been peaceful? What foreign influence?
Chamisa is yet to come up with credible blueprints for economic and social change but unfortunately he together with Ed are every day distracted from real national in pursuit of an illusion called ‘Democracy'.
So Chamisa and ED have been in pursuit of an illusion called democracy and you still trust them to produce credible economic and social blueprints which, since they have not produced any are an illusion too! Just one illusion superimposed upon another and here we are talking about imaginary things or, as I said above, ignorance, chaos and confusion galore!!

  8. It is standard practice in most developed nation to have a plan and to have a project review regardless whether company made money or not. If they made money, it was important to know what they did right so they can do it again.
If lost money, it was just as important to have a review so learn from the mistakes and avoid repeating them and lose even more money and, ultimately, lose livelihood!
After 43 years of rigged elections CCC is dragging the nation into yet another rigged election because the party has never had an election review nor would listen to recommendations of the many election observers. SADC, EU, Commonwealth, etc. have all called for reforms before elections. Of course, CCC does not need reforms implemented, they are going to win big because they have “winning in rigged election (wire)” strategies!
The wire strategies are just hot air to hide the truth – they have no idea what reforms are required and their greed – they are after the few gravy train seats Zanu PF is giving away as bait! If you are incapable of producing a plane and just blunder from pillar to post there is nothing to review and so keep on blundering.

I watch as the so-called 'Pastors 4 ED', as well as other church organizations – such as, Mapostori (Apostolic Faith), ZCC (Zimbabwe Christian Church), UFIC (Emmanuel Makandiwa), Andrew Wutaunashe (Family of God), amongst a whole host – unashamedly parade themselves as fervent supporters of the Zimbabwe leader, and the ruling ZANU PF party.

This is notwithstanding the undeniable fact that these are the same political elite who have the blood of innocent civilians dripping from their hands – after the continued brutal savage massacring of perceived opposition followers, or any other voices of dissent.

Not only that, but they are also responsible for the untold poverty and misery of millions of ordinary Zimbabweans – who have been reduced to destitutes and paupers, in a country endowed with vast natural resources, envied all across the world – yet, have been callously and greedily plundered by a small ruling class for their own enrichment, at the expense of the nation.
Soon after independence Mugabe bought Mercedes Benz limos to replace the Peugeot 406 Ian Smith had given his cabinet ministers. The limos were not budgeted for and, of course, this was Mugabe abusing his position to buy the blind loyalty of ministers. This was the kick-off of the patronage system that has extended to every section of Zimbabwe society.
Mnangagwa has squander US$350 000 for CIO directors down to buying motorcycles for village heads. It is not surprising that the church leaders have joined into looting. They could not resist the bribes being dangled in their faces and now they have become Zanu PF cheer leaders they may just as well swap their priestly robs for the Zanu PF regalia!

  11. “Mnangagwa charms Daka II Feed Africa Summit with his 'village philosophy'; a country is developed by its inheritors which he said is working well in driving the agricultural sector forward.”
This is just cheap propaganda from a regime that has turned Zimbabwe from the bread basket of Southern Africa to the basket case of failed state. Mnangagwa tells Africa it is sanctions that have ruined Zimbabwe and yet everyone can see the mountain of evidence of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption.
The regime has squandered US$2-4 billion building Mugabe's sprawling Blue Roof mansion, Pantheon temple to one man’s insatiable greed for power and wealth, and meanwhile Parerenyatwa Hospital the country’s prime referral hospital, 4 km from the mansion, is in such an advance state of rot and decay, rain water flows through the wards!
Zanu PF is rigging the 2023 elections and thus confirming to the world that Zimbabwe is a pariah with every intention of staying that way. As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state there will be no meaningful economic recovery because no serious investor would want to do business is such a chaotic and unstable nation where mismanagement and corruption and tyranny rule the roost!

  12. GWERU-High Court Judge, Justice Martin Makonese has warned those bent on causing violence and other disturbances ahead of the 2023 elections that they will be decisively dealt with by the courts.
Makonese gave the stern warning when he officiated at the opening of the 2023 legal year, in Gweru on Monday.
He said that Zimbabwe was a democracy where political contestation should be done in a peaceful environment.
This is just nonsense. Of course, the idiot knows politically motivated violence has become rampant in the land because Zanu PF decreed it. How many cases of politically motivated violence has the idiot dealt with in his whole life at the bench? We all know our judiciary is corrupt and compromised. Makonese should enjoy his bribes like everyone in the judiciary and stop insult us with his nonsense!
Indeed, some of our journalist must stop giving nonsense mileage by reporting vomit as fact. Why did they fail to ask the idiot how many instigators of violence he has convicted!

  13. BEITBRIDGE – Different Government departments and other stakeholders met for three days this week in Beitbridge to prepare for the smooth repatriation of 200 000 Zimbabweans to be deported from South Africa from June 2023.
All signs are that Zanu PF is rigging the 2023 elections and thus confirm that Zimbabwe is still a pariah state ruled by corrupt, incompetent and murderous thugs who have denied the ordinary people a meaningful say in the governance of the country to enjoy absolute power. As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state there will be no meaningful economic recovery and there will be a new wave of economic and political refugees leaving the country post 2023 elections.
President Cyril Ramaphosa and his ANC government will only have themselves to blame if the endorse another rigged Zanu PF elections and gave the regime legitimacy!
Many of the 200 000 deportees will return to SA before the end of the year. This is just an exercise in futility!
