  1. Nick, you are a shameless apologist and one thing about being a shameless apologist is that you have no sense of shame.

“The fascination with negativity and self-hate is creating an artificial but widely accepted false narrative that everything in Zimbabwe is going backwards and that Zimbabwe is at its worst time,” you say.

“Nothing can be further from the truth.”

When Mnangagwa seized power over a year ago now, he promised free and fair elections and to end corruption. If he had kept these two promises then Zimbabwe would have been in for a real chance of reviving the economy. He failed to keep his promises and the Zimbabwe economy took a serious knock because all the would be foreign and local investors have shied away because they did not want to invest in a pariah state ruled by corrupt and vote rigging thugs.

As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state there is not going to be any meaningful economic recovery, that is a fact.

The events of the last two weeks have shown that the people are not going to accept the worsening economic situation quietly, they will speak out. The regime’s response was to step up the brutal repression.

As the national economic hardship get worse and worse we can be certain that the people will come out again and again to demand change.

Nick, you are a Mnangagwa apologists and you are paid to sell the tyrant and the party as a great success even to the point of falsifying the facts. It was Zanu PF and Mnangagwa was a senior member of that government that landed the nation into this mess. This idea that the nation should pretend Mnangagwa was innocent of all the rot of the first 37 years is nonsense.
“This is the untold story of the Zimbabwe situation. The anarchist politics witnessed in the country is aimed at disrupting Government's recovery, reform and re-engagement programme under the auspices of the moniker "Zimbabwe Is Open for Business and Dialogue.” you argue.

“Zimbabwe has already invested very much in its people. Now it has embarked on several projects which are the composite building blocks to our economy.”

Zimbabwe is a pariah state and the corner stone Mnangagwa laid in rigging elections in the past and repeated last July are the building blocks that real matter!

  2. Re-engagement was dead in the water and by rigging last July's elections Zanu PF was the one who delivered the coup de grace. It is typical of the regime to blame everyone else for its own failures and UK MP Kate Hoey is on the firing line! What MP Hoey has done is confirm some home truths the regime did not want said.
