This is the same dawn chorus the people have heard for
the last 42 years coming from the mentally challenged aided and abetted by Zanu
PF agents. Team Pachedu know MDC garnered 73% of the vote in the March 2008
vote but still failed to get into power. Their naïve and idiotic “Your vote
matters!” slogan does not explain what happened then!
Clearly no one in Team Pachedu has ever heard about the
2008 to 2013 GNU was about implementing the democratic reforms to stop a repeat
of the blatant cheating and wanton violence of the 2008 elections. Even now
over ten years since the GNU with the benefit of hindsight these idiots still
think they can win rigged elections.
Yes, “Your vote matters!” but only when the elections are
free, fair and credible! Detail matters; water flows but only downhill!
Phase 1: 1980 to late 1990s Zimbabweans did not want to believe
Mugabe and Zanu PF were corrupt incompetent and murderous thugs who were
rigging elections to stay in power.
Phase 2: late 1990s to 2013 the people accepted the
reality that Zanu PF was a party of thugs and to remove them from office, the
country would need to implement democratic changes to stop the vote rigging.
The people risked life and limb to elect Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends
to implement the reforms. After 22 years, 5 of which in the GNU MDC has failed
to implement even one token democratic reform.
Phase 3: 2013 to present MDC has participated in
elections since 2013 knowing fully well that without reforms Zanu PF would rig
the elections and that their participating will give legitimacy to Zanu PF.
Zanu PF bribed the opposition to participate by offering a few gravy train
seats and Mnangagwa has since increased to bribe by creating POLAD, a body
created to reward losers in the presidential race. MDC leaders could not deny
Zanu PF was rigging elections and yet could not admit to the voters they are
participating in the flawed elections out of greed, naturally. And so they have
come up with all manner of “winning in rigged elections strategies”; all hot
air, of course. The ordinary people are desperate for meaningful political
change and in their desperation have participated in the flawed elections and
thus help perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship and their suffering!
Phase 4: (not too distant) future There are a few
Zimbabweans who have accepted as a matter of historic fact that the 2008 to
2013 GNU was the country’s golden opportunity to implement the democratic
reforms and blame MDC leaders for selling out, not SADC as MDC leaders do. They
have rejected the insanity of participating in flawed elections and the
oxymoronic notion of winning rigged elections. The fight is on to wake up the
populous to the political reality and get the international community,
especially SADC, to create another opportunity to implement the reforms and end
the curse of rigged elections. The danger of the country sliding into the chaos
of violent street protests and/or another military coup is real and hence the
urgency of making sure phase 4 gains traction a.s.a.p.
Team Pachedu’s foolish “Your vote matters!” slogan is ill-advised good intention, at best. We know the road to hell is paved with good intentions!
HIGH Court judge Justice Rogers Manyangadze yesterday ordered police, Zanu-PF members and the Harare City Council to stop disrupting operations of a company leasing Mbare toilets for a fee.

Zanu PF thugs believe they have the divine right to rule the country by virtue they spearheaded the liberation war, and they would burn the country down themselves rather than see anyone else rule.
The country had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms and wrestle dictatorial powers from Zanu PF during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Sadly, the opportunity was given to MDC leaders who wasted it because they turned out to be corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent.
As long as Zanu PF continue to enjoy these carte blanche dictatorial powers Zimbabwe is not getting out of the mess the party landed us in. Zanu PF is rigging these 2023 elections and by participating MDC/CCC will only be giving Zanu PF legitimacy.
The only hope of wrestling the carte blanche dictatorial powers from Zanu PF is by denying the regime legitimacy and thus force the need for a new GNU. This time competent men and women will be appointed to implement the reforms!
POLICE in Bulawayo yesterday reportedly disrupted a voter registration campaign exercise conducted by Nelson Chamisa's Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party supporters.
ReplyDeleteBulawayo provincial spokesperson Swithern Chirowodza said police claimed that the exercise, which was being carried out at the party offices, was not sanctioned.
"It is shameful behaviour which we are experiencing under the police. We started the meeting at 9am and the police dispersed us. Some of our members were made to answer questions as to why we were meeting and they dispersed us," Chirowodza said.
Anyone who knows Zimbabwe politics will not be surprised at this because this is Zanu PF modus operandi! Zanu PF is rigging these elections and, by participating, MDC/CCC are giving Zanu PF legitimacy.
Chamisa and company are hiding they sold out during the GNU by failing to implement even one reform during the GNU and continue selling out by participating in flawed elections by pretending they have “winning in rigged elections strategies”. All hot air.
It is a pity the ordinary people are naïve, gullible and desperate; they have failed to see that they are being taken for fools!
Zanu PF is rigging these elections and by participating the people are giving Zanu PF legitimacy! Chamisa and co will cry foul after the rigging is done, they always do, but only as part of their elaborate charade!
THE ongoing biometric voter registration (BVR) blitz has been marred by apathy with several potential registrants claiming that they are being turned away due to lack of documentation.

As usual, ZEC will have a voters’ roll with 5 million plus and since the voters roll has never ever been verified, no one will know how many are real people and how many are emoji and, most important of all, the emoji will vote!
SADC leaders were right, without reforms Zanu PF will rig the elections! The tragedy for Zimbabwe is we have corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent opposition who keep ignoring the warning and participate in these flawed elections just to give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy.

Zimbabwe had the opportunity to end Zanu PF's dictatorial powers during the 2008 to 2013 GNU, Tsvangirai and company wasted this chance. The notion of MDC devising "winning in rigged elections strategies", in which nothing is done to end the dictatorial powers, is just hot air.
Chamisa's is now banking of the worsening economic meltdown forcing the people to go on the street and stage violent demos to force Zanu PF out of office. He knows that the so-called "peaceful demos to protect the vote" will be a violent confrontation.
History will say that MDC/CCC failed to implement even one reform in 22 years, 5 of which in the GNU and, ever since the GNU, given Zanu PF legitimacy by participating in flawed elections. Chamisa and co have have undermined all efforts to end the Zanu PF dictatorship peacefully and thus extending the suffering of the people unnecessarily for the purpose of using violent street protest to bring change. Someone must answer for this!

Anyone familiar with Zimbabwe politics will tell you this is typical Zanu PF modus operandi! Zanu PF has carte blanche dictatorial powers to blatantly rig these elections and that is exactly what the party is doing. ReplyDeleteThe official launch of the party was however disrupted by the police who rounded up its leadership mid-way, accusing them of having gathered people in excess of the stipulated 100 as prescribed by COVID-19 regulations for gatherings.
Ironically during the weekend, the ruling Zanu-PF party held a rally in Chitungwiza which was attended by several hundreds of party supporters.
The ZSED party leaders were later released without charges.
The culture of the Police harassing the opposition is a well-documented political reality in Zimbabwe; it is an integral part of the Zanu PF vote rigging.
The only question one would want to ask is whether ZSED will be participating in these elections regardless of the flawed and illegalities, just like the rest of the country’s opportunistic opposition leaders.

Zimbabwe will only get out of this hell-on-earth that we find ourselves stuck in if we finally learn from our past mistakes and history. We trusted Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF cronies blindly after independence and for 20 years the nation would not accept he was a corrupt and murderous tyrant. When people finally did accept the political reality, Zanu PF was well entrenched and removing them was not going to be a walk in the park.
The people have risked life and limb to elect MDC for the express task of implementing the democratic reforms. They sold out and failed to implement even one reform. It is therefore nonsensical to say MDC leaders have stood by the people!

Making each vote count requires that every poll station where votes are casted and counted is being monitored for voter fraud. Not only that, but in the event that voter fraud is identified, it needs to be captured on camera and publicised for the entire world to see. The tallying of all national votes by the ZEC also needs to be monitored closely and any shenanigans need to be captured on camera and publicised to the world. All these things need talent, manpower, dedication, organisation and definitely, funding.
This is the level of hard work that is needed to make every vote count. Without any safeguards against vote rigging, it’s impossible for the CCC to get anything from the 2023 election.”
The 2008 elections were a water shed because the blatant cheating and wanton violence were well documented and left everyone in no doubt that Zimbabwe could not hold free, fair and credible elections without implementing the democratic reforms. The 2008 to 2013 GNU was meant to implement the said reforms.
The task of implementing the reforms were given to MDC. Morgan Tsvangirai turned out to be corrupt and incompetent; they failed to implement even one token reform.
When SADC leaders realised no reform had been implemented, they made a last minute attempt to stop the 2013 elections going ahead until the reforms were implemented. Again, it was MDC leaders ignored the advice.
It is nonsensical to say we need to participate in flawed elections to document the flaws and illegalities because we have all the evidence to help us decide the elections are a farce. ZEC has failed to produce something as basic as a verified voters’ roll, for example. MDC/CCC have participated in the elections regardless.
MDC/CCC has participated in flawed elections out of greed, they are after the few gravy train seats Zanu PF gives away. By participating MDC/CCC are giving Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuate the dictatorship. So please open your eyes and stop this nonsense of participating to give Zanu PF legitimacy! Reports suggest that ZANU PF supporters assaulted the driver of the CCC candidate for Kwekwe Central, Judith Tobaiwa, and removed campaign posters from Tobaiwa’s vehicle. CiZC said in a statement:

We are disturbed that despite assurances of a new dispensation, ZANU PF has continued to use violence and coercion during elections.
CiZC has called for peace and tolerance among political parties to ensure free, fair and credible elections.
The civic organisation also urged ZANU PF to desist from terror and shock tactics during elections.
Chamisa and company know that Zanu PF is rigging these elections, know that by participating the opposition are undermining all efforts to force Zanu PF to accept the need for reforms and most important of all, know that by participating they are giving vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy. They are hell bent on participating in the 2023 elections regardless for selfish reasons as David Coltart confessed in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
“The worst aspect for me about the failure to agree a coalition was that both MDCs couldn’t now do the obvious – withdraw from the (2013) elections,” wrote Senator Coltart.
“The electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility.”
MDC factions did form the MDC Alliance coalition before the 2018 and still they participated in the 2018 for the same reason the participated in the 2013 elections and failed to implement even one reforms during the 2008 to 2013 GNU – greed. They are hell bent in participating in the 2023 elections regardless of all the evidence Zanu PF is cheating and using violence to win for the same reason – greed!
There is nothing the nation can do to stop Chamisa and company participating in the flawed election and thus perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship. What we can do is refuse to play any part in this charade, denounce the process and all those taking part now and not wait until the results of the rigged elections and make sure Zanu PF does NOT get legitimacy.
Deprive Zanu PF legitimacy will force the regime to accept the need for a new GNU as happened in 2008. This time competent men and women will be tasked to implement the democratic reforms and restore freedoms and rights of all including the right to free, fair and credible elections.
Detail matters and those who whose intellectual capacity is stretched to its maximum by the challenge of distinguishing their left hand from the right have always found themselves blundering from pillar to post and conned again and again.

The 2008 elections was the watershed elections in that Zanu PF's blatant cheating and wanton violence left no one in any doubt of the sheer futility of holding elections as long as Zanu PF continue to wield such carte blanche powers to rig the process. SADC leaders forced Mugabe and Zanu PF to accept the need to implement a raft of democratic reforms designed to take away the party's dictatorial powers.
The task of implementing the reforms was given to Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends. Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders and for the five years of the GNU they had their snouts in the feeding trough and forgot about the reforms. "Kutuma bete kumukaka!" (Sending a cockroach to fetch milk!) so says the Shona adage!
The MDC/CCC leaders have all but given up all hope of implementing any reforms and have been participating in these flawed and illegal election to give Zanu PF legitimacy and, in return, get the few gravy train seats offered as bait.
To hide their greed Chamisa et al have told the naive and gullible public they have devised "winning in rigged elections strategies!" Even now with all the evidence of 42 years of rigged elections, the GNU sell out, etc. there are still many who are freely participating in the flawed elections supposedly to end the Zanu PF dictatorship but only to give it legitimacy! It has been easy to con them because they don't know what constitute free and fair elections!
The vibrant leader has also urged citizens to remain optimistic despite the current social and economic challenges tormenting the nation.
