"I will liberate Zimbabwe and Africa" says Chamisa - has Misstra Know-It-All curse too P Guramatunhu

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference.”

A prayer from American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr.

God only knows how desperately we in Zimbabwe need these qualities, serenity, courage and wisdom; especially our arrogant and pompous leaders!

There is no denying that Zimbabwe is in a serious economic and political mess. It is hard to believe the country was a middle-income nation with the prospects of becoming the South Korea of Africa in 1980. Today it is the textbook cases of a failed state; ruled by corrupt, incompetent and vote rigging thugs who have become filthy rich at the expense of the overwhelming majority languishing in abject poverty and despair.

Zimbabwe’s economic decline and political paralysis; both the ruling party and the opposition have two things in common they are corrupt and incompetent, the political system has completely failed to produce quality leaders; has been a relentless march to disaster. Robert Gabriel Mugabe, independent Zimbabwe’s first president was the trail blazer down this disastrous path of self-destruction.

Mugabe had a soft head, don’t be fooled by outside appearance, and when he tasted power he became punch drunk! Absolute power transformed Mugabe into Stevie Wonder’s "Misstra Know-It-All"!

“He’s a man with a plan                                                                                                                                     Got a counterfeit dollar in his hand                                                                                                                       in his hand!                                                                                                                                                               He’s Misstra Know-It-All!”                                                                                                                                  sung Stevie Wonder.

There is nothing under the sun Misstra Know-It-All cannot do! Mugabe promised the people of Zimbabwe mass economic prosperity. “Gutsa ruzhinji!” as he called it in Shona. He never doubted for a minute that he would fail to deliver. Even when there was overwhelming evidence his super plan had failed, he blamed the mass poverty on the drought, the sanctions imposed on the country by the West, etc.

In 2017 Mugabe was booted out of office by his fellow Zanu PF thugs after 37 years of corrupt and tyrannical rule. He has never admitted he was not Misstra Know-It-All but a fallible mortal like everyone else. Worse still, Mugabe has sired many copy-cat Misstra Know-It-All both in his own party Zanu PF and the opposition. Even the upstart Nelson Chamisa believes he knows it all and knows best.

‘The basket of bad apples has now been flushed out. We are left with purity. I must thank Mr. Mnangagwa for the splendid job to take away those who have been retarding progress, those who want money, those who want opportunities, those who want trinkets and trappings of office,” Chamisa told SABC.

Chamisa has just launched a new political party, Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC), breaking away from the MDC. He was just following the time-honoured Mugabe tradition of blaming everyone else for MDC’s failure to implement even one democratic reform in after 22 years, 5 of which in the GNU. All nonsense of course, since those left in the MDC, the bad apples, are in the minority; the tail does not wag the dog.

Chamisa was not content to blame MDC’s “bad apples” for the party’s failure to deliver any meaningful change; he blamed SADC leaders too. He accused the regional leaders of having “ostrich mentality!”

"People are excited, people are electric, the mood is great, it's yellow everywhere. The nation has turned yellow. The yellow revolution is unstoppable, people are committed, people want change, they want to see victory, people are hopeful. The yellow revolution will not only lead to the emancipation of Zimbabwe, but the whole of Africa. People will realise their own sovereignty and sanctity." Chamisa boasted in an interview with Nigerian Green Savannah Diplomatic Cable magazine.

The whole world used to wait in great anticipation for Robert Mugabe’s anti-West vitriolic tirade, full of sound and fury signifying nothing, at such international forums as the UN General Assembly. Chamisa is clearly learned well at the foot of the late dictator!

With no meaningful democratic reforms implemented, Zanu PF is rigging the 2023 elections guaranteed. By participating in these flawed elections CCC, just like MDC before it, is giving Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the Zanu PF dictatorship.

Nelson Chamisa believes that he does not need the serenity to courage and/or wisdom because he too is Misstra Know-It-All, just like Robert Mugabe. “I am emancipation of Zimbabwe and the whole of Africa!” Yeah right! Thanks to your incompetence we are still stuck with the Zanu PF dictatorship when it should have been dismantled by 2013 at the latest!

  2. "The project is being superintended by the very people who yesterday subjected Zimbabwe to totalitarianism and hate and consigned the majority of our people to untold poverty and misery." Mwonzora you don't make such a serious allegation and then fail to say how Chamisa and company cause the poverty and misery!

  3. In a letter to Mudenda, seen by NewZimbabwe.com, the group wrote: “We, the undersigned civil society organisations who work to promote and defend freedom of expression and information, freedom of association and the right to privacy as fundamental rights worldwide, are writing to express our concern with Zimbabwe’s gazetted PVO Amendment Bill.”

“We note that the government ostensibly proposed the amendment to comply with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations to align the country’s laws with Recommendation 8. While the task force’s objective is to ensure that NGOs/PVOs are not misused by terrorist organisations – an analysis of the Bill shows that, rather than aligning with FATF recommendations, the government could be using this legislation as a pretext to clamp down on civil society in Zimbabwe and to infringe upon the rights to association, privacy and expression enshrined in the Constitution,” the letter reads
As far as I am concerned most of Zimbabwe’s NGO are government organised NGO (GONGO) and these new restrictions will only make a bad situation even worse, rendering the GONGO utterly useless.
We should not be having these national elections without first implementing the democratic reforms designed to end Zanu PF capture of state institutions, NGOs, etc. The only reason why this circus has continued is because of the corrupt and incompetent MDC/CCC leaders who failed to implement any reforms and have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy.

  4. GUKURAHUNDI was never a result of tribal differences but the quest to consolidate power through annihilating opponents by the then Prime Minister Robert Mugabe’s administration, a top civil society activist has said.
Ibhetshu LikaZulu secretary general Mbuso Fuzwayo also urged Zimbabweans to resist falling for government’s narratives about the genocide, saying blame lies squarely at the government’s doorstep.
Fuzwayo said the current Ndebele versus Shona narrative was beneficial to the perpetrators, the state, which employed those that killed people on its orders.
“Justice will only be served when citizens come together to point fingers at the state and demand answers for the genocide, making it clear that they know it killed innocent civilians and should be held to account,” Fuzwayo said
I totally agree, the tribal narrative is being push by those with a selfish agenda!

  5. The people of Zimbabwe have risked life and limb to elect these MDC/CCC leaders into power on the understanding the would deliver the democratic changes (as the party name imply) to end the Zanu PF dictatorship. After 22 years in power, 5 of which in the GNU, Chamisa and company had failed to bring about even one change.

SADC leaders, whom Chamisa is now calling ostriches, are the ones who made the 2008 to 2013 GNU possible. When the regional leaders realized that MDC had failed to implement the reforms, they are the ones who made one concerted last minute effort to save the day. They asked that the 2013 elections should be postponed until reforms were implemented. Morgan Tsvangirai and his banded mongoose ignored the advice and participated in the elections out of greed and gave vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy.

Chamisa and company are participating in these 2023 elections knowing fully well that Zanu PF is rigging the elections and, most important of all, that by participating they are giving Zanu PF legitimacy. Chamisa is counting on the people, who are desperate for change, staging mass street protests to force Zanu PF to give up power. He pretends these would be peaceful demonstration but we all know there will be violent protest.

Of course, this is a nightmare! Chamisa and company have wasted many golden opportunities to implement the democratic reforms and deliver peaceful change in Zimbabwe and now the nation faces the grime choice of continued Zanu PF dictatorship or violent street protests to end the dictatorship! Yeah, we are caught between the rock and the deep blue sea! Of course, Misstra Know-It-All has no clue what he is wittering about!

  6. Khupe said Mwonzora wrote to Mudenda in January notifying him of his intention to recall Khupe.

Said Khupe, "on the 26th of January 2022, I received a letter from the Speaker of Parliament through a courier, FedEx which was delivered to my house in Bulawayo together with my colleague Nomvula Mguni to the effect that we had been recalled and we were no longer Members of Parliament. I have never heard in the history of Parliament a member being recalled through a letter sent to their home by FedEx at a time when Parliament is not in session."
Ever since its launch in 1999, MDC leaders has spend more time and energy fighting each other or enjoying the benefit of being on the gravy train and it is therefore no wonder they have failed to implement even one meaningful democratic reform in 22 years of the party’s history.
USA ambassador Chris Dell predicted that Morgan Tsvangirai “was a flawed and indecisive characters who will be an albatross round the nation’s neck if he ever got into power!” He could have said the same about the entire MDC leadership. Yes MDC did get into elected office and have been the milestone dragging the nation into the crashing abyss!
Instead of implementing the democratic reforms and end the Zanu PF dictatorship MDC leaders have not only failed to implement even one token reform but worse still they are the ones giving vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy by participating in flawed elections.
Sadly, the majority of Zimbabweans have no clue to this day what the democratic reforms are much less that the GNU was the golden opportunity to implement the reforms. They continue to have faith in MDC, the milestone dragging them into the abyss, because they do known MDC sold-out during the GNU and continue to do so by participating in flawed elections. This is the stuff nightmare are made of!

  7. Guinea-Bissau: Many dead after coup attempt, president says

This is the fate that awaits all those nation that have failed to make democracy work. Zimbabwe is a failed state we have already had our first military coup and High Court Judge George Chiweshe has set the precedence by ruling the November 2017 coup "justified, legal and constitutional".

Zanu Pf is rigging the 2023 elections and Chamisa and company are participating to give the regime legitimacy, now a well established cycle. The only hope to break the cycle is either violent street protests and/or another military coup!

The military in Zimbabwe is the deep state, MDC will never get into power without the support of the military.
