"Political issues are not determined in Court" said Biti - metamorphosis has atrophied his brain to fat W Mukori

The transformation of MDC leaders from rational and caring democrats to corrupt and greedy demagogues occurred during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Their behaviour was completely out of character, poles apart – who would have believed all the MDC leaders would be conned into doing nothing about reforms for five years; some yes but not all and for five years – it is a metamorphosis.

Even then, one had expected the corrupt and greedy post 2008 GNU demagogue Tendai Biti to be amenable to reason and logic. Sadly, the GNU metamorphic transformation was so thorough going his brain has since atrophied into a useless lump of fat! there is not a single drop democratic blood left in the man!

Ever since the Supreme Court confirm the High Court judgement that Nelson Chamisa has violated MDC-T’s own constitution when he seized power to become the party’s leader following the death of Morgan Tsvangirai in February 2018. Tendai Biti has never disputed that Chamisa did not follow the constitution, he is disregarding the judgement on the grounds this is a political matter outside the jurisdiction of the Court.

Biti spoke of how the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) had told him in 2015 that political parties should resolve their internal disputes out of court when he had representing Kudakwashe Bhasikiti.

"Political issues are not determined in courts of law. I was the lawyer who represented Kudakwashe Bhaskiti when he was expelled from Zanu-PF in early 2015," Biti said.

"On behalf of Bhaskiti, l went from the High Court all the way to the ConCourt arguing that Bhaskiti had been expelled without due process and a disciplinary hearing. The ConCourt told me that I had a duty and obligation to exhaust domestic remedies and ‘resolve your problems within the party," Biti said.

Well there is an even more telling example. Justice George Chiweshe ruled the November 2017 military coup was “justified, legal and constitutional”!

What these two cases prove is that Zanu PF is above the law and the Court’s judgements have made that underlined, for emphasis, that reality.

What Biti is saying here is that MDC Alliance must be above the law too, just like Zanu PF!

Lest Tendai Biti has forgotten, the people of Zimbabwe have risked life and limb these last 20 years to elect him and his fellow MDC leaders into power on the understanding they would deliver the democratic changes the nation was dying for. The changes necessary for holding of free, fair and credible elections and for the restoration of the rule of law. The people elected Tendai Biti and his MDC friend to champion their cause.

As acknowledged above, MDC leaders have the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms, especially during the 2008 to 2013 GNU, but failed to implement even one reform. Not one!

Not content with having sold-out on the right to free elections and failed to restore the rule law; Tendai Biti wants the lawlessness privileges extended to include MDC Alliance!

Tendai Biti started as democrat seeking democratic change but a taste of power as a GNU minister made him forget about the changes! Power transformed him into corrupt, incompetent and downright foolish demagogue. Allow Tendai Biti to enjoy the absolute power Mnangagwa and his Zanu PF thugs have enjoyed these last 40 years; Biti et al will be indistinguishable from the Zanu PF thugs!
