“Mbuya Nehanda vakati " tora gidi kuti uzvitonge". Zanu inobviswa nenyere. MDC should start a military wing & mobilise, provide access to guns & ammunition so we can start a fight. Pasina izvozvo, Zanu icharamba ichiita zvainoda. Waiting for 2023 elections is an absolute waste of time. Ngachitsve.”

Zanu PF would not be in power today if MDC leaders had implemented the democratic reforms agreed at the onset of the 2008 GNU.

If you still do not understand what the GNU was about even now with all the benefit of hindsight then it is clearly too much for a simpleton like you.

If you agree that MDC sold-out on implementing the reforms then one has to ask why are you searching for a military solution when a peaceful one would do?

“Ngachitsve!” You are the empty heads like Jabulani Sibanda, Chris Mutsvangwa, etc. who fought in the liberation war only to become Mugabe’s dogs helping the tyrant impose the de facto Zanu PF one-party dictatorship.

What Zimbabwe needs to get out of the mess Zanu PF and MDC have landed us in is Zimbabweans who are smart enough to think for themselves and not the brainwashed mob who follow blindly like sheep to the slaughter.

You are right that international observers did condemn the recent elections because they contained "numerous errors, untraceable and unverifiable". The question then arises what is the basis of Chamisa's own claim as the winner? Chamisa's position that the elections are free, fair and credible only if he is declared the winner is a foolish one. Election are condemned if the process is flawed and illegal and regardless of who claims to be the winner. If Zimbabweans accepted Chamisa's logic then we will never have free, fair and credible elections.

  3. What is there to consult other members about? Zimbabwe's economic meltdown is set to get worse as long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state ruled by corrupt and vote rigging thugs. Mai Mnangagwa's main interest is for the junior doctors to go back to work and suffer in silence. She is very pleased that Zimbabwe is a pariah state, how else would she be First Lady!

The young doctors must open their eyes are see what is happening in the country for what it is - a nation's fight for survival and not just their fight for a living wage. We must now focus on forcing Zanu PF to step down if the nation is ever to recover from the mess Zanu PF landed us in.

The manner in which Acting President Constantino Chiwenga has handled the matter left a lot to be desired. The grievances by junior doctors such as sub-standard conditions, including poor working conditions, low salaries and shortages of basic medicines and equipment are valid.
It is important to restate that the doctors’ grievances have not suddenly been brought to attention of government.

They have been on the table for several decades and most Zimbabweans were hopeful that Mnangagwa’s so-called new dispensation would make our health situation a priority.

They must also realise that the doctors’ industrial action is a tip of the iceberg. The rest of the civil service is equally disgruntled by poor working conditions and economic challenges that have rendered their salaries worthless.

Admittedly, at this point in time the government might not have the capacity to pay in US dollars but we are sure that if the government genuinely demonstrates to the doctors its commitment to resolve the impasse and puts on the table reasonable alternatives, the doctors can return to their work stations.

Government must also realise that the health workforce is one of the building blocks of a functioning public health system and prosperous economy.

What most people have yet to acknowledge is that Zimbabwe is still a pariah state just as it was under Mugabe. As long as the country is a pariah state ruled by corrupt and vote rigging thugs there will never be an meaningful economic recovery. So instead of these junior doctors, teachers and the nation at large calling for a living wage that government can promise in the future but we all know will never come; people should be demanding meaningful political changed aimed at ending the curse of rigged elections and pariah state status.

After 38 years of waiting for Zanu PF’s economic prosperity and/or recovery people what now wake up to the reality that the party has used the empty promises to justify staying in power after rigging the elections. What the nation needs right now is the restoration of the people’s right to a meaningful vote.

Zanu PF rigged the 30 July 2018 elections and the party must step down!

  5. “Our members and some leaders are receiving intimidatory messages from unknown individuals to force us to abort the industrial action but we cannot, however, say if these are State security agents or not because this has been happening since the strike began but such tactics don’t work. Only dialogue is the way,” Bhebhe said.

As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state there will be no meaningful economic recovery, if anything the economic meltdown is set to get worse! You can sit down and talk to this regime everyday for the next five years but the one thing you will never get from it is a living wage. We need not need this curse of rigged elections and pariah state status!

At a time when many people in Zimbabwe wonder where their next meal is coming from and whether it is worthwhile taking someone to hospital for treatment, the House of Assembly has been preoccupied by more urgent matters: how they can improve their pay and conditions.
Such is the sorry quality of our political leaders which explains why the nation is in this sorry state. Lest we forget, Zimbabwe would have got rid of this Zanu PF dictatorship by now were it not for MDC leaders who sold-out on reforms.
Zimbabweans have to wake up to the reality that if the country is to ever to escape from the hell-hole it now finds itself in then it will need quality leaders. It is the people’s job to make sure they elect quality leaders!

  7. MDC has played its part in creating this political and economic mess. Why did MDC insist in taking part in these elections even when ZEC failed to produce something as basic as a verified voters' roll.

All the election observers have condemned these recent elections for being flawed and illegal. So on what basis is Chamisa claiming his victory. Zimbabweans want free, fair and credible elections and none of this Chamisa nonsense that as long as he is declared the winner the elections are free, fair and credible!

  8. Mnangagwa took a bold decision in staging the November 2017 military coup. He also took a very bold decision in doing nothing to end corruption and then to blatantly rig the 2018 elections. He confirmed that Zimbabwe is a pariah state ruled by corrupt and vote rigging thugs and sealed the nation's fate in so far as economic recovery was concerned. No investors like to do business in pariah state, he should have known that after all these years of Mugabe led pariah state.

There is nothing Mnangagwa can do now, other than step down, to change the reality on the ground - that Zimbabwe is a pariah state and no investors are coming to the country! The economic meltdown is set to get worse; Zanu PF will never bring about any meaningful economic recovery. Never!
