Mnangagwa has reclaimed Harare's "Sunshine City" status, said mayor Mafume. Dumb and stupid singing for his supper! W Mukori

“Usa kangamwa chezuro nehope!” so goes the Shona adage, warning of the dangers of a selective memory. Zimbabweans have a very selective memory, they see only what they want to see and ignore the rest.

Harare’s Mayor, Jacob Mafume, went town and back again in praising Mnangagwa and his so-called Second Republic achievements, New Parliament Building, the world class International Airport, Mbudzi Interchange, etc. What the Mayor forgot to say is rot and decay not just in Harare but in the whole country.

Did the nation really need a new glamorous Parliament Building when all the country top five referral hospitals are in a dilapidated state after decades of neglect and under investment?

It is ironic that the drivers who collected the SADC Heads of State from the airport to the new Parliament Building where the August Summit was held, were instructed to follow a predetermined route. The regime was so fastidious  because all the other roads have potholes and the regime did not want the visitors to see that!

The greatest disappointment of the Second Republic is the failure to deliver any meaningful political rights including the right to free, fair and credible elections. After the November 2017 military coup, Mnangagwa promised to hold free, fair and credible elections. He went on to blatantly rig the 2018 and then 2023 elections.

The other day the Minister of Finance, Professor Mthuli Ncube, had to abandon his national budget presentation when the whole complex lost power supply. Everyone, including Mnangagwa, was forced to leave. Even here, the citadel of the ruling elite, was not spaced the nation wide ZESA black out.

During the 2008 to 2013 Zimbabwe had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms and dismantle the Zanu PF one-party dictatorship once and for all. Alas! Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends was distracted by the trinkets of high office, the E-Class Mercedes Benz limos, the generous salaries and allowances, the US$4 million mansion for Save himself, etc. And, with their snouts in the feeding trough, they completely forgot about implementing the reforms.

“Seek ye first the political kingdom and all things shall be added unto you,” said Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first post independence President. He was right!

Zimbabwe is a pariah state, ruled by corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical thugs who have been in power these last 44 years only because they rig elections. And as long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state there will be no meaningful economic recovery, the rot and decay that started soon after independence in 1980 will continue.

The millions of Harare residents faced with daily trial and tribulation of no water, no electricity, sewage overflowing into the street, collapsed health and education services, etc. have no such illusions. They know this is the epitome of hell on earth, they have lived, seen and known it everyday for 44 years and counting. Mnangagwa and his Second Republic has delivered no change other than change of name.

Mnangagwa is reclaiming Harare’s pre-independence “Sunshine city” glory, says Mayor Mafume! No one can be that blind and stupid, he is just one more opposition leader singing for his supper!

After all the endless ZESA power cuts one would have thought the regime would have the common sense to have a standby generator for New Parliament. They did not and Minister of Finance's national budget presentation was interrupted by ZESA power cuts. The cost of getting all the officious buffoons to attend parliament and now having to do it again will pay for the standby generator! What a criminal waste of human and material resources!

Zimbabwe is now a nation of two classes, the filthy rich ruling elite and the cronies and the filthy poor masses living in abject poverty.

“GIVEN POWER… “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13
    Sabbath blessings! #Godisinit #GodReigns”

    The brain washing is relentless!

Here is the man who claimed that he had "plugged the vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!" He was complaining that Zanu PF had rigged the 2023 elections the day after the voting. He has never had the common decency to apologise to the millions who believed his idiotic lie and participated in the flawed elections only to give Zanu PF legitimacy.

The nation is stuck with the corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship because Chamisa and company failed to implement even one token reforms even when they had the golden opportunity to do so in the 2008 to 2013 GNU. And ever since the GNU debacle MDC/CCC have conned the party's brain dead supporters to participate in flawed elections on the basis of idiotic lies that the opposition have devised strategies to win RIGGED elections. #Godisinit! has been the sugar coated to the idiotic lies!

Chamisa is gearing to participate in 2028 elections on the basis of yet more idiotic lies, he knows he has captive audience in the form of the brain dead followers.

The ancient Greeks were right, democracy only works if the people are educated, knowledgeable and diligent. The Chamisa chete chete brigade are brain dead and they have the vote!

Boy are we in trouble! After 44 years of rigged elections and in this time and age and someone still believe in winning RIGGED elections. There is no stopping Chamisa and company participating in the flawed 2028 elections and all because they do not have the common sense to realise the sheer futility of failing to enforce the rules on account of idiotic belief they will win rigged elections. One cannot reason with the brain dead!

“What's your contribution towards rigged election.
He is not the one to correct but citizens according to the standard of democracy.”

    1) Holding all those in public office to democratic account including Chamisa and company for selling out of reforms and for helping to keep Zanu PF in power by conning the brain dead followers to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed.

    2) Educating the ignorant and naive voters who have brain washed into believing the oxymoronic nonsense that they can ever win RIGGED elections even after 44 years of Zanu PF rigging elections.

    3) Last but most important of all stop Chamisa and company conning millions of the brain dead Chamisa chete chete village idiots participating in the 2028 in the millions to perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship.

What, if I may ask is your contribution beside doing everything to silence all those who dare hold Chamisa and company to account because, like all village idiots, you believe Chamisa is an infallible demigod. How anyone can consider a mere mortal a demigod in this day and age beggars belief. No wonder Zimbabwe is a failed state!

In 1975 Ian Smith predicted that if we ruled ourselves "people will be walking on sewage and think it normal and most of the infrastructure will break down". He was right.

It is shocking that Mayor Mafume, the man presiding over the rot and decay in Harare should be the one boasting of reclaiming "Sunshine city" status on the bygone years! It goes to show we are indeed governed by buffoons!

Democracy demands that the people must be educated, knowledgeable and diligent in holding those in public office to account; we have been found wanting in this sacred duty; even the educated and knowledgeable have failed to hold Chamisa to account for his betrayal on reforms and idiotic lies. He bamboozled them all with "#Godisinit!"

There is a real danger of Chamisa conning the nation into yet another flawed 2028 election to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuating the nation's suffering out of greed. This must be stopped!

“If Chamisa succeeds to rule this country make sure you stay where you’re.”

So I should not hold Chamisa to democratic account for selling out on implementing reforms and participating in flawed elections out of greed for fear he may win RIGGED elections?

Is it fear or stupidity that has stopped you and your follow village idiots admitting that MDC/CCC leaders are not only mere mortals but corrupt, incompetent and liars. How anyone can consider the likes of Chamisa a demigod beggars belief. No wonder we are a failed state!

If you think Chamisa is going to waltz back from his sabbatical with a barrage of Biblical verses plus the usual #Godisinit! and drag the nation into flawed 2028 elections; you have something coming. Chamisa is a corrupt, incompetent and lying upstart and he will be held democratic account - that is not negotiable. “Such failures, repeated across nearly every sector, have made it easy to point the finger at those in power.

Surely, they must answer for their deeds.

But that raises another question: who holds them accountable?

    To whom are they answerable?

Logic dictates that the citizens, the people who bear the brunt of this misgovernance, should be the ones to demand accountability.

And yet, this logic seems absent in Zimbabwe.

Instead of holding the ruling elite accountable, too many Zimbabweans have resorted to silent grumbling.

We complain among ourselves, bemoaning the state of affairs, but rarely do we translate our frustrations into collective action.

Fear and self-interest have paralyzed us, making us complicit in our own suffering.

We go about our lives as though it is business as usual, even when there is no food on our tables, our children are unable to attend school, and we live in homes that are far from decent.

    How can this be?

The renowned philosopher Edmund Burke once observed that "the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

This truth cuts to the heart of Zimbabwe's predicament.

Where are the good men and women?

Why have they allowed evil to triumph so spectacularly?

The fight for a better Zimbabwe cannot be outsourced to the opposition or left to a select few individuals or even foreign powers.

It is a national duty, a responsibility that falls on every single one of us.

The real question we must ask ourselves is: What role have I played in the destruction of Zimbabwe?”

The people of Zimbabwe have risked all to elect MDC/CCC leaders to implement the democratic reforms and end the Zanu PF dictatorship. They have not only failed to implement even one reform in 24 years but have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy.

I do agree with you that we, the electorate, are to blame for failing to understand why we have risked all to elect the MDC/CCC leaders and for being so ignorant and gullible as to believe Chamisa and company’s idiotic lies of winning RIGGED elections. Only village idiots would give up their right to free and fair elections for something as idiotic as hope to win rigged elections, especially after 44 years of Zanu PF rigging elections!

After 44 years of rigged elections, the number one challenge right now is stopping Chamisa conning his brain dead followers from participating in flawed 2028 elections on the basis of yet another idiotic lie of winning RIGGED elections. As we already know, once in power Zanu PF will do as they damn well please.

Holding Chamisa to democratic account and stopping the brain dead participating in another flawed 2028 elections in their millions is the only issue on the national agenda. 10. Prominent political figures, including lawyer and former Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Douglas Mwonzora, have strongly opposed the proposal. Mwonzora, who led the MDC during its peak but has seen the party suffer a major electoral defeat in 2023, has dismissed the idea of amending the constitution for political gain. Speaking in Harare, Mwonzora referred to the campaign as a "mission impossible," warning that such an attempt would face significant legal and political resistance.

"The constitution is clear, and any move to change it simply to benefit one individual will face stiff opposition from both legal and political quarters," Mwonzora said. His remarks are part of a growing chorus of concerns from civil society and opposition groups, who argue that extending Mnangagwa's presidency would undermine the country's democratic process.

Mnangagwa’s bacon is fried! Even his POLAD partners are coming out against his move to extend his rule beyond the two term limit. Mwonzora is an opportunist but even he knows that with each passing day it will be clearer that vision 2030 is a mirage and thus Mnangagwa’s main excuse for staying will disappear like mist in the warm African sun! By the end of 2025 or 2026 at the latest the mist will have completely disappeared!

Zanu PF knows that the party will have to rig 2028 elections to stay in power. The task of rigging will be that much tougher if done under the added pressure of delivering vision 2030 when everyone can see this is a mirage by moonlight! Even those paid to rig the elections will feel insulted and abused.

How naive! So you think Chamisa has made so many blunders because he did not get sound advice. SADC leaders advised MDC leaders to implement reforms and not even one token reform was implemented in 5 years of the GNU, for example.

Chamisa and company have proven beyond all doubt that they are corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless. But to a village idiot, like you, facts and reality count for nothing, the GNU did not even exist, you learn nothing from the past, and hence will repeat the same idiotic mistake over and over again. To you Chamisa is a demigod and we must all defer to him no matter what!

I do not need Chamisa’s number, why would I want to waste my time talking to a corrupt, incompetent and village idiot just because he has millions of village idiots like you who worship him? “Foolishness is when one perpetually makes the same mistake and expects a different, correct, and better outcome.

    01 October 2024

The problem that Zimbabwe faces is regrettably caused by Zimbabweans.

    1. Media houses report much about the so-called popular people who are the same politicians who have and are failing Zimbabwe. Some media houses are just after their own business, not reporting to save and serve Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe has a lot of capable leaders and even experts in different fields, but no one sets their eye 👁 on them. Little is known about them.
    2. The general populace is also to blame. They rally behind the person's popularity, not one's capability and competency.
    3. Failure is failure, caused, or self. For far too long, the politics of Zimbabwe has just become an employment passport for the few in opposition and ruling parties. The cycle of voting come and go, returning the same people who have been failing together for decades. What exactly do we want to achieve as a nation by voting people who have already failed for decades?
    4. How can we expect a different and better harvest from an aging and diminishing fruit tree or egg 🥚 layer?

Until and unless we change our political behavior, we will remain a Zimbabwe of economic and political bandits.

    A Potera.”

One of the reasons Zimbabweans have followed corrupt, incompetent and lying leaders like Mnangagwa and Chamisa blindly all these years is because the people are seeming incapable of comprehending anything of substance. They are easily swept away with appearances particularly superficial appearances. You do not need bait to catch kapenta; just a floodlight!

When it comes to elections Zanu PF's reputation for rigging elections has made the party the devil incarnate of the SADC region. The people in the region are becoming increasingly resentful of Zanu PF's interference in other countries' internal affairs and rightly so too. We must be careful the people's anger with Zanu PF will not be visited on the ordinary Zimbabweans!

  20. I subscribe to the ancient Greek’s view that democracy only works when the people are educated, knowledgeable and diligent in their sacred duty of holding leaders to account. We have one of the most ignorant and gullible electorate on earth so naive they have been conned again and again even by a corrupt, incompetent and lying upstart like Chamisa. How anyone would consider Chamisa to be a demigod says it all.

When you have such an ignorant and naive electorate the solution is obvious - educate them. Nothing of any substance can ever be accomplished as long as the people remain ignorant and at the mercy of political buffoons.

If you formed a new political party right now, you will be overwhelmed by the political opportunists, they are like chickens caught in the storm and desperate for shelter and warmth. They will tell you they agree to no elections without reforms (a must as far as I am concerned) but will break rank for a chance to win a seat on the gravy train.

The fight for reforms is best carried out without the need for a political party, those who stay the course are the quality leaders you want.

This once-proud national airline, which began its journey in 1980 with a modern fleet inherited from Air Rhodesia, is now a global laughingstock, a shadow of its former self.

At independence, Air Zimbabwe inherited 15 well-maintained aircraft, including five Boeing 720s for regional and international routes, three Viscount 700s for domestic and short-haul flights, and seven Hawker Siddeley HS 748s for domestic services.

This fleet placed the airline among the top regional carriers.

However, decades of corruption, political interference, and mismanagement have turned what was once a symbol of hope and progress into a cautionary tale.

Zimbabwe is a failed state and as long as the country remains a pariah state ruled by corrupt and incompetent buffoons the country's economic decline will continue. Chamisa and company participated in the flawed elections out of greed and hence the reason why the winning CCC leaders like Fadzayi Mahere, Coltart, etc. all took up their gravy train seats even after SADC and AU election observers had condemned the 2023 elections as flawed. Some of the CCC leaders lost their seats following the Tshabangu ambush but that was in-house fighting.

Coltart and a few other MDC/CCC leaders have admitted that they took their eyes off the reforms and greed got the better of them.

“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.

People like Mataranyika will never ever accept that MDC/CCC leaders sold out because they do not have the intellect to comprehend much beyond the 240 twitter characters. They believe Chamisa is a demigod and he lied to them about plugging vote rigging loop holes and conned them to participate in the flawed elections out of love!

Chamisa has only to tell his followers another idiotic winning RIGGED election lie plus #Godisinit! and they will believe him. It will be a day's work to convince his Chamisa chete chete brigade to participate in the flawed 2028 elections in their millions.

It is bad enough to have millions of brain dead citizens but giving them the vote is the worst curse ever especially when you have predatory political leaders like Chamisa and Mnangagwa who will not only exploit the weak but will crash them into the gutter just to maintain the status quo! How is possible that the oppressed can consider his oppressor a demigod?

Well one has to look at the likes of Mataranyika and you have your answer - here is a man whose brain has ossified into fat, he now has the IQ of a slug! But all that makes sense when one realises that millions of these Chamisa chete chete brigade consider him to be a demigod!

No wonder we are a failed nation! Millions do not have the intellect to distinguish between opinion and fact much less the intellect to realise denying facts will not make them go away. Poor Zimbabwe we are sleep-walking into yet another flawed 2028 election, millions will participate give Zanu PF legitimacy. And the man who will con the nation to participate on the basis of an idiotic lie that he plugged all the vote rigging loop hole will lead from the front in protesting the elections were rigged. But we are different - one of us (no names, zvinemuto ndozvineyi) has some common sense and the other has the IQ of a slug!

"We participated because we had faith in our leader as much as we still have faith in him today ,to some of us he is our only hope."

Of course, you have faith in Chamisa; to you he is a demigod who has never ever done anything wrong. This is what the personality cult is all about. Even after 44 years of rigged elections you still believe Chamisa can win RIGGED elections because he said he plugged all the vote rigging loop holes.

How is it possible that anyone can be so shallow, thick and slow to believe that a mere mortal a demigod beggars belief. But in Zimbabwe, millions do!

No wonder we are a failed state! And, at this rate, have no chance of digging ourselves out of this hell-hole in the near future.

And you are the nature and wise one who is not only refusing to admit Chamisa lied about plugging vote rigging loop holes but has chutzpah to chastise those who dare speak the truth. So you think participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuating the dictatorship is wise, even after 44 years of rigged elections. What a nincompoop!

    ReplyDelete
  33. @ Tau

You have been told if you participate in the flawed elections you will not change anything but give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate your own suffering. Only an idiot would still ask what to do! DO NOT PARTICIPATE!

You Tau and millions others out there will participate in the 2028 elections just as you did in the past. It will be a day's work for Chamisa to con you to participate, you have the intellect of a slug and will do whatever Chamisa tell you!

  34. @ Mataranyika

Name one opposition leader in Namibia or Mozambique who said he/she had plugged all the vote rigging loop holes to con people to participate in flawed elections?

How many times has Chamisa and company ignored advice to implement reforms because they insisted they have winning in RIGGED elections strategies?

    ReplyDelete
  35. @ Tau

You will never accept the truth preferring to dismiss them as insults just as you never accept facts because you dismiss them as opinion. You have been given the solution - DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN FLAWED ELECTIONS TO GIVE ZANU PF LEGITIMACY AND PERPETUATE THE NATION”S SUFFERING - you pretend you did not hear it!

I am not surprised you are doing this, you really have the intellect of a slug and cannot expect anything rational from a slug.

The tragedy for Zimbabwe is there are millions of slugs just like you and you all have the vote. Universal suffrage when millions have the IQ of a slug is a curse!

And Chamisa is against the regime and yet failed to implement even one token reform when he had the chance to do so. Chamisa is fighting the regime by conning you and millions of others to participate in a flawed election to give Zanu PF legitimacy! How anyone can be so irrational, shallow, thick and slow is a mystery. But then it explains why we have failed to hold free and fair elections in 44 years and counting.

  37. How naive! So MDC leaders failed to implement even one token reform in the last 24 years including the 5 years in the 2008 to 2013 GNU because they wanted SADC to see how Zanu PF rigged elections? How can any one still believe this rubbish even now with the benefit of hindsight!

    ReplyDelete
  38. @ George

Chamisa and company were advised to implement the reforms by SADC leaders during the GNU, for example. Not even one token reform was implemented in 5 years. So what makes you think I, Wilbert Mukori, will accomplish more were SADC leaders have failed.

I have accepted that MDC/CCC leaders are corrupt, incompetent and down right liars. People like you have not accepted this reality and never will because of your personality cult mentality. Even after 24 years of MDC/CCC and not even one token reform implemented, you still follow Chamisa blindly because you consider him a demigod. I am not that stupid!

You have never said anything of substance in the past and therefore you are the least qualified to judge what I say.

  39. @ Tau

This is typical village idiot mentality anyone who dares to speak his or her mind against Chamisa must be a Zanu PF agent. But since I have been demanding reforms and free and fair elections - something Zanu PF does not want - you are now so confused you do not know whom to call my handlers! What a village idiot!

How come Zimbabwe has so many village idiots is the mystery. But it explains why we are a failed state!

I am here to stop the madness of participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the nation’s suffering especially after 44 years of rigged elections. I do not expect you to understand that since you clearly see nothing wrong with Zanu PF rigging elections. It is not every who see perceive nor hear and comprehend, even after 44 years of rigged elections it is all water off a duck’s back to you!

  41. In 1978 Muzorewa and Sithole participated in the internal settlement with Smith. Zanu and Zapu did not. The internal settlement failed to get international recognition. It is naive to think Madhuku and Mwonzora with their 4% compared to CCC’s 44% would have given Zanu PF legitimacy!

  42. Einstein said doing some thing over and over again expecting a different result was insane. Was he being civil? What do you thing he would say to participating in flawed elections expecting the opposition to win RIGGED elections only to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuating the suffering of the whole nation? I am not a saint and have no intention of being a saint and so will call a spade a bloody shovel!

Nelson Chamisa and his MDC/CCC friends have failed to implement even one token reform in 24 years and ever since 2008 to 2013 GNU they have participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed. Chamisa lied about plugging the vote rigging loop holes to con the nation into participating in flawed elections. Even when SADC and AU condemned the elections the winning CCC leaders took up the gravy train seats.

Chamisa went on sabbatical without ever admitting he had lied much less apologise for it. He is now back and is gearing to con the nation into participating in the flawed 2028 under another idiotic winning RIGGED election lie.

Chamisa must be held to account for his blatant betrayal and lies. It cannot be business as usual.

    "You are right
I also don’t see why we follow his social media posts that much
Let him run his own campaign
We can’t take it run our own with a different message."

Chamisa is conning the nation into participating in yet another flawed elections under the disguise of another idiotic winning RIGGED election lie. Are you suggesting that we should allow him to do as he damn well please!!!!!!!!

Chamisa lied about plugging all vote rigging loop holes to con the nation into participating in flawed 2023 election to give Zanu PF legitimacy and to perpetuate the nation's suffering out of selfish greed. He must be held to account for this and, more significantly, he must be stop conning the nation to participate in the flawed 2028 elections and thus make it 48 years of rigged elections!

Chamisa chete chete brigade are up in arms because they cannot bear to see Chamisa held to account. They consider him an infallible demigod. Enough is enough of this midsummer madness!
