"Mwonzora and Mudzuri have joined Zanu PF." Tomorrow it's Biti, Chamisa, etc.; none ever dared to rock Zanu POF boat! W Mukori

The social media is abuzz! Douglas Mwonzora, the leader of the MDC-Alliance alongside his counterpart Elias Mudzuri are currently at the Zanu PF Headquarters and have officially joined Zanu PF,” reads one report.

“This publication has confirmed the development and revealed that the two have been welcomed by Blessing Chebundo who is currently manning the Returnees4ED desk at the Zanu Pf Headquarters.

“Mwonzora and Mudzuri have pledged allegiance to President Mnangagwa. They all said they will be campaigning for Zanu-PF in the coming by-elections which are set to be held in December.”

If this story is true, it will not surprise me in the least; because I really cannot think of anything anyone of the opposition leaders, not just these two, has ever done to be considered an enemy of Zanu PF. When it really mattered, such as implementing the democratic reforms during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Not even one MDC leaders out of the 110 MPs, 50 senators, 26 plus ministers and deputy ministers, 2 deputy PMs and one PM, dared to disappoint Zanu PF by submitting even one token proposal.

Most of the MDC-T and MDC-N leaders must have known that the 2013 constitution was weak; after all Mugabe had “dictated” the document, as Paul Mangwana, Zanu PF’s co-chairperson of the parliamentary committee that drafted the constitution, boasted after the March 2013 referendum. Still all the MDC leaders came out is force to suppose the constitution in the referendum. Tsvangirai even claim the new constitution was “an MDC child!”

“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” (MDC leaders have learned to enjoy the grant train benefits and not rock the boat!) boasted Zanu PF cronies when asked why MDC leaders were not implementing any democratic reforms during the GNU.

With not even one token reform implemented and a feeble new constitution, SADC leaders wanted the 2013 Zimbabwe elections to be postponed in a last minute bid to have the democratic reforms implemented before the election.

“In 2013 the Maputo Summit, in June 2013, before the elections, the Maputo Summit was all about having the elections postponed – the SADC summit. I went there,” Dr Ibbo Mandaza told Journalist Violet Gonda in 2017.

“I was there at the Summit and Mugabe pretended to agree to a postponement of the elections. If you recall, the postponement was based on the need to reform, at least electoral laws, (to be implemented before the elections).

“And after that Summit, Morgan Tsvangirai, Tendai Biti, Welshman Ncube, all of them were called to a separate meeting by the Heads of State of SADC in the absence of Mugabe, that same evening. And they were told; I was sitting there outside the room with Mac Maharaj; they were told ‘if you go into elections next month, you are going to lose; the elections are done’.”

As we know all the MDC leaders without exception participating in the 2013 elections in defiance of the SADC leaders’s advice. And MDC leaders have all been participating in flawed elections since, “so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw,” as David Coltart confessed in his book.

The 2017 military coup would have been a transformative moment for Zanu PF if the any of the MDC leaders had denounce the coup for what it was - an illegitimate and unconstitutional move. Instead Morgan Tsvangirai and the rest of the MDC leaders came out in support of the coup and even called on their supporters to join the street demos calling on Mugabe to resign.

Many people were surprised that Nelson Chamisa did not demand that Constitutional Court must order the opening of the 12 Polling Station ballot boxes to verify the results. The V11 forms, a summary of the vote count of each candidate, in two or three of these PSs were identical in very respect, same total number of ballots cast, same vote count for each candidate, same spoilt ballots, etc. and most notable of all Mnangagwa had a commanding lead. The only rational explanation was the result was one PS enter twice or three times.

Double entry of the V11 was easy what would not be so easy to do is creating a duplicate PS! Chamisa’s legal team was asked by the Judge why they did not request the sealed ballot boxes from all the 12 PSs to be opened? It turned out that they are the ones who did not want the boxes opened. The gave some feeble excuse!

“MDC vanoziva kuti apa pakasungwa noruwhaya!” (MDC leaders know that there some matters they are not allowed to touch!) boasted George Charamba, Mugabe and now Mnangagwa’s spokesperson, when asked why the opposition has never ever taken Zanu PF to task on any important matter. Never ever!

Each time there is any falling out in the opposition camp the fall guy is always accused having been a Zanu PF agents. When it mattered they all acted as one in not rock the boat, in making sure the untouchables were left untouched, etc. but at every opportune moment they are as keen as mustard to off load all the party’s cases of corruption and incompetence on the scapegoat.

Each time fall guy realises that his/her chances of ever being welcome back in the opposition camp are poor they cross the floor and join Zanu PF. Zanu PF has always welcomed these former opposition leaders after all they did the party a great favour by not rocking the boat, etc. when they could have.

“Kwawabva kanda huyo, kounoenda kanda huyo!” (You should always be careful to make friends where you are going and come from; because you never know!) so goes the Shona adage. It is no exaggeration that none of Zimbabwe opposition leaders ever dreamt that their political party could ever replace Zanu PF and govern the country alone. The most they could achieve is govern with a Zanu PF offshoot as a partner. And so the opposition has always been cautious never ever to rock the boat, touch the untouchable, etc. to be certain of Zanu PF partners in future.

By failing to implement even one democratic reform the MDC leaders were betraying the ordinary Zimbabweans whoo were risking all to elect them into office for that express purpose. Fortunately for Tsvangirai a company they have always managed to get away with the selling out because most of the masses had no clue what the reforms are much less how they were implemented. Even to this day, with the benefit of post GNU hindsight, most ordinary Zimbabweans still have no clue what the reforms are. How can they blame MDC/CCC leaders of selling out of something they do not know.

So when it came to betraying the people by selling out on reforms or implement the reforms and rock the boat and upset Mugabe and company. Tsvangirai and company chose to betray the masses because they knew they would get away with it. And so, far at least, povo has never held them to account.

Yesterday it was Obert Gutu and a few others who left the opposition to join Zanu PF. Today it is Mwonzora and Mudzuri. Next year it could be anyone of the remaining leaders, Nelson Chamisa, David Coltart, Tendai Biti, etc. They will all be welcomed by Zanu PF because, when it mattered, none of the rocked the Zanu PF boat or touched the regime’s untouchables. Of course they knew they were/are betraying the nation to please Zanu PF; they did not care then and still do not care!

“Uya kuZim uone how satanic is PF.”

You do not have to be a slave to know slavery is evil much less to condemn! Just focus on the important issue, implementing the democratic reforms and end the curse of rigged elections and bad governance!

“Who is ignorant and stupid Mr Mukori if I may respectfully ask you. To say izvo zve MDC kutadza kwayo tazvinzwa let's move forward is signa ignorant and stupidity🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Ummmm to say you are bitter usazviramba. You mean you have the power reconstitute that same GNU and start negotiating on reforms.

Don't just use venom where it's unnecessary. I am saying let's forward. Let's re-strategise and with you being the master thinker in action and not social media.”

So if you agree that MDC leaders are corrupt and incompetent then you too should be fighting to have them replaced. The GNU happened 10 years ago and yet we still have the same corrupt and incompetent individuals leading the fight for change!

Zimbabwe has just had yet another rigged elections, 43 years of rigged elections, and you think that is progress?

Zimbabwe is a fail state because we have more than our fair share of ignorant and stupid people so stupid they cannot even hold free, fair and credible elections even after 43 years of independence and in this day and age. They are so dumb and stupid they even insist that they are making progress, you cannot reason with them!

I think tofanirwa kutaura or kuita zvekuti nyika inake chete.”

So you think the country can ever develop whilst we still have the curse of rigged elections? If that was so then Zimbabwe should be dooming because for the last 43 years we have had one rigged election after another!

“Seek you first the political kingdom and the rest will be given unto you!” said Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Independent Ghana’s first president. He was right.

Zanu PF has short changed the people of Zimbabwe by denying them their fundamental right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country. The party has proven to be corrupt and incompetent and has all but destroyed the nation’s once robust economy and the nation has been stuck with the regime because it rigs elections.

The vision 2030 Mnangagwa is promising is a mirage, Zanu PF has been promising economic prosperity tomorrow for the last 43 years. Without the political power to hold the regime to account the nation has failed to meme the regime from office for the last 43 years even when it was clear it was destroying the country.

No my friend, we need to implement the democratic reforms if we are going to end this curse of rigged elections and bad governance.

“My question is still the same what are you doing as individuals to make sure Zimbabwe has free and fair elections besides pointing chamisa.”

Warning the people of Zimbabwe that Chamisa and company are sell outs who will never deliver reforms and free elections is the number one task that will get the country out of the mess.

There are village idiots like you who think Chamisa is a demigod who cannot do no wrong and will keep CCC in power and thus help Zanu PF stay in power. The village idiots must and will be confronted and told in no uncertain terms that they are idiots!

  7. MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement even one democratic reform in 23 years because of greed, how does that make them "victims"? Your sheer stupidity and ignorance is a curse to the nation. Idiots like you should have never been given the vote, it is like giving a monkey a loaded gun!

“Chamisa akurwadzai for sure. You are only making him more and more popular and appealing to the masses bcaz the people know the opposite from Zanu.”

This is true but only because they are people who support of Chamisa is more a gut feeling than a rational one. These people would not be supporting Chamisa if they understood that Chamisa and company sold out on reforms and hence the reason why Zanu PF is still able to rig elections. By participating in these flawed elections they think they are fighting to end the dictatorship when in reality they are giving vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the very regime they are fighting to end.

This is why ignorance and stupidity are a curse worse than death they make you your own worst enemy!

The Greeks, all those 2500 years ago, were right; democracy only works if the citizens are educated and diligent. When they are ignorant and stupid, the voters will, in their stupidity, elect and keep buffoons or worse in power!

This is not about Chamisa vs Mnangagwa, CCC vs Zanu PF this is about free, fair and credible elections vs rigged elections, democracy vs autocracy. CCC will never implement the reforms and so voting for CCC will change nothing. But when one has the intellect of a horse, that is a bridge too far. We need to implement the democratic reforms first or we will remain forever stuck with the Zanu PF dictatorship

  9. The elections in Zimbabwe are about reforms and free elections vs rigged elections. Zanu PF and their CCC side kick have conned the public especially the CCC wildebeest herd into believing the opposition can win rigged elections. And the herd, in their ignorance and stupidity believes it even after 43 years of Zanu PF mafiosi rigging the elections.

As long as the ignorant and stupid herd have the vote we have to engage them. The Greeks were right all those 1 500 years ago, democracy only woks if the citizens are educated and are diligent. With a naive and ignorant electorate, the right to vote has become a curse because the people have elected buffoons or worse!

IGNORANCE AND STUPIDITY IS A CURSE WORSE THAN DEATH BECAUSE IT CAN MAKE THE STUPID THEIR OWN WORST ENEMY.

  12. Investigative journalists who worked on Qatar-based global news network Al Jazeera's Gold Mafia documentary say whistleblowers and an accountant for one of Africa's most notorious gold dealers confirmed criminals were making regular payments to President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House to ensure they operate smoothly.

The journalists said documents they had trawled through and studied also confirmed the payments.

Sara Yeo and Alexander James told The NewsHawks in an interview on the sidelines of the  African Investigative Journalism Conference at Witwatersrand (Wits) University in Johannesburg, South Africa, this past week that whistleblowers and Pattni's accountant confirmed that Mnangagwa received regular payments.

Yeo and James told journalists attending the conference that they had no doubt Mnangagwa was the power behind the rival gangs looting Zimbabwe's gold and that he was receiving payment from criminals. Although the gangs were different, they all operated with Mnangagwa's blessings.

"I think with Kamlesh Pattni as well, we were speaking to Raj, who is also his whistleblower, who is also his accountant. So he confirmed what Kamlesh Patni was saying; that he had to deliver to the State House every fortnight, I think it was just payment to Number One," Yeo said.

James said all the evidence they gathered corroborated what the gangs revealed on camera.

"When they're talking about it, they're confirming essentially what we're seeing on the documentsor what we're seeing through the testimony of the whistleblowers too," James said.

Zimbabwe is a failed state and no one is his/her right mind would want to do business in a country where elections are rigged and corruption is rampant - except those who are corrupt like the gold mafia gangsters!

  13. Part 1 of 2

    @ Rotina

“All opposition parties have had the domain of their operations defined by ZPF bcs they’re the ones who do not want any other party in the management sphere - actually, that is a well known trait of the ZPF gvmt so as to be free with their corruption activities & avoid having to share loot proceeds with the whole political framework.

ZPF supporters know ZPF draws those lines & wont allow any opposition beyond those lines. Folks appear eager to ‘hold opposition accountable’ when they know ZPF’s behavior traits. Completely anti-opposition.

It’s not new with CCC. It was worse with ZAPU despite the fact that ZPF knew ZAPU very well - that is where they all started with in that one party. Yet they, ZPF used the tribal card to split with ZAPU & went on to use the same tribal card to split from ZANU - referring to them ZANU Ndonga or ZANU Mwenje. The same tribal problems were experienced at ZPF’s next stop where they ended up assassinating their leader, Chitepo on tribal grounds & Dr Kaunda told them he was setting up an enquiry and that anyone that wld be implicated wld be prosecuted - the reason why ZPF left Zambia for Mozambique.

You guys know that ZPF didn’t want even follow the constitution at all, especially under dictator number 2. Does ZPF give opposition funds per constitutional requirements? They don’t give CCC funding - not even for election budgets. But they gave Mwonzora bcs they knew that he was their project thst they used to destroy MDC just like they’re using Tshabangu to destroy CCC.

The problem with Zimbos is that u don’t tell the truth - all the time. Especially when it concerns ZPF. Right now there’s a lot that’s happening about thugs who are doing what they want with impunity from ZPF. Fix those issues or there won’t be a country at all. Look at the theft of Dzingai Mutumbuka house that was stolen by big ZPF names.

ZPF chiororo - u can’t keep hiding behind opposition imi muchiita zvonorova. Munonyeperei ko nhai? U can’t deflect issues from the main player who even boasts kuti hanzi - ‘no other party decides who builds roads or dies any other contract in Zim. Mozouya kuno mochinja script?

Hapana neimwe nzira - fave ZPF facts.”

Anyone who reads this trash would be forgive to think that these Zanu PF thugs are demigods with super powers when in reality they are not mere mortal but most important of all feeble minded twats!

“Zanu PF chiororo!” If Zanu PF thugs were clever how come they have reduced the once promising country into the text book failed state. Burning the country to ashes was very foolish because no one, not even their own immediate family have benefited. Grace Mugabe and her children may have amassed a lot of wealth but from the 15 November 2017 when Mugabe woke up with a gun up his backside they all knew the show was over. Their wealth has been leaking away and the taps for the refills were turned off. They know that if Zanu PF loses power whatever they still have may be taken away.

As for the other lesser mortal in Zanu PF, many have lived and died paupers! Only an idiot would burn down the house so he has nowhere to live and think that a smart move!

MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement even one token reform and thus end the Zanu PF dictatorship not because Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF cronies are smart and cunning. They failed to implement even one reform because the MDC leaders are corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent.

Chamisa et al have management to continue to enjoy the political support of many Zimbabweans but only because these men and women are brain dead. Their brain has ossified into fat tissue the mountain of evidence proving MDC leaders’ treasonous betrayals means nothing to them.

To appreciate that MDC leaders are sell out one has to understand that the primary purpose of the GNU was to implement the democratic reforms and the consequences of the failure to do so was perpetuating the dictatorship. These people do not even know what the reforms are much less the purpose of the GNU. Even now with the benefit of hindsight, the have no clue.

Indeed most Zimbabweans take great comfort from thinking of both Zanu PF and CCC leaders as the all powerful gods and their fight as the clash of the titans. A foolish notion that has allowed the later to sell out of reforms allowing Zanu PF to retain its carte blanche dictatorial powers in return for a few gravy train seats!

No wonder we are a failed state, we have some really brain dead citizens and, to crown it all, they have the vote. And it is like giving a monkey a loaded gun! “Zanu PF chiororo!” said the monkey, supposedly the nation’s creme de la creme.

  15. Maximizing Your Potential by Myles Munroe - Chapter 1: Why Maximize?

We did not expect Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF cronies to honour their promise of "One man, one vote!" and so when the party threatened the bush war would continue if they lost the 1980 elections we voted to end the war.

The people of Zimbabwe have risked all to elect MDC/CCC leaders on the promise the party would implement the democratic changes to end the Zanu PF dictatorship. We did not expect Tsvangirai and company to honour their promise. Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders with the trappings of high office and they forgot about the reforms.

The two parties have since come to an arrangement in which CCC participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF political legitimacy in return for a share of the spoils of power. CCC continues to pay lip service to reforms and make a big song and dance of how the party is going to win big even without reforms because they have devised winning in rigged elections strategies.

The people are ignorant, naive and gullible to believe the lies, even after 43 years of Zanu PF mafiosi rigging elections.

By having so low expectations or worse still having no idea what can be achieved we, the people, have made it easy for both Zanu PF and MDC leaders to short change us again and again and get away with it each time.

“Ummmmm you guys why are always attacking CCC / Mdc . Is it that it was mdc alone which participated in the elections u are talking about? Why not talking of zapu, mdc N and other political parties? Your hate on mdct is too much and ccc. Manje mukomana ndiye aneyese.”

It took Boxer, the horse, in George Orwell’s book Animal Farm, as long to learn the first four letters of the alphabet as to took others to learn all 26 letters. It took as long again to learn the next four letters and by that time he had forgotten the first four letters.

I knew that Animal Farm was supposed to depict real human behaviour still it is disconcerting to find not just parallels of characters like Boxer in real life but worse and, worst of all, in their millions!

The simple concept that all those in public office, regardless of their political affiliation MUST all be democratically accountable to the people and, again, regardless of party political affiliation is proving to be rocket science. Many Zimbabweans are finding it hard enough to accept to accept leaders must be accountable to the masses that their leader, whom they consider a demigod, should be accountable is simple a bridge too far!

When Boxer discovered he had forgotten the first four letters, he gave up on learning the alphabet. He also struggled to string together any coherent idea and gave up trying to think for himself. He accepted whatever the pigs said, particularly the pig Napoleon. “Napoleon is always right!” became his motto.

It is no exaggeration to say you, VaZhou, and many others out there has failed to grasp the true meaning of all public office bearers must be accountable to the people. You believe Chamisa and the other CCC leaders are infallible demigods who must never ever be held to account by mere mortals. Anyone who insisted on this must be because they “hate” Chamisa!

The truth is Chamisa et al are not only fallible mortals but ones with a proven track record as corrupt, breathtakingly incompetent and utterly useless. The nation needs to implement the democratic reforms, it is THE prerequisite for free, fair and credible elections. MDC/CCC have failed to implement even one token reforms these last 23 years and have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of selfish greed.

The very idea that CCC leaders are untouchable is preposterous the more so since it meanings we are stuck with the Zanu PF dictatorship! The reality that CCC are participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuating the dictatorship is so far fetched it would be the equivalent of Boxer learning the Chinese alphabet is one hour!

The universal suffrage should have been a blessing but like diamonds , gold and other riches, it is now a curse. Our ignorant and naive Zimbabwean voters are the ones electing buffoons and thugs into public office. They are impervious to reason and logic!
