The penny has only now finally dropped that ‘reforms recommended by SADC and the AU have not been implemented!”
The truth is that the reforms were not implemented during the GNU and SADC warned MDC leaders against contesting the 2013 election with no reforms in place. MDC leaders ignored the warning for selfish reasons as Senator David Coltart has since admitted in his book.
“The
worst aspect for me about the failure to agree a coalition was that both MDCs
couldn’t now do the obvious – withdraw from the elections,” explained Senator
Coltart.
“The
electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to
withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the
distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process
credibility.”
It will be unforgivable act of treachery and folly if the thinking Zimbabweans out there allow Tsvangirai and company to once again sell-out the nation for a few gravy train seats President Mugabe is offering them as bait!
MDC-T and all the other stupid opposition politicians out there must be stopped from contesting flawed elections because as long as they participate Zimbabwe will never hold free, fair and credible elections. Never ever!
This is just the ranting of a lunatic designed to give the naive and gullible opposition the impression that Zanu PF is weak and that they can win next year's elections with no reforms in place. Zanu PF has slit right down the middle when Mai Mujuru and 150 other bigwigs were booted out of the party in 2014. Many people thought with Mai Mujuru and her ZimPF joining the opposition Zanu PF's days were numbered; events on the ground have proven that Zanu PF is as strong as ever when it comes to performing its key activities of rigging the vote to stay in power.
ReplyDeleteThe split in the security sector, civil service and among the grass root party members to mirror the departure of Mai Mujuru did not happen because all of the people concerned know whichever faction has control over State Institutions has all the political muscle. ZimPF lot had no control over anything and hence the reason no one else followed them and stayed put with Mugabe.
Zanu PF's core centre; the one controlling ever facet of human activity in the country, is composed of a few individuals, Mai Mujuru regardless of her senior position in the party and government was not a member of this core group; is very strong and has remained so regardless of the worsening dog-eat-dog outside the core.
Beside those in the Zanu PF inner core know that fighting amongst themselves over the spoils of power is one thing; they know only too well that they must win the power fight and on that they agree and are totally united. Zanu PF are like baboons they fight among themselves all day, day after day but when faced with a common enemy they will attacked as one!
Unless reforms are implemented, Zanu PF will rig next year's elections with ease!
