"The election outcome, condemned by the global community and our region alike, did not reflect the will of the Zimbabwean people. It was a sham, and its legitimacy is in question,” said James Timba, the leader of one of the four CCC factions.
"The assembly also unanimously agreed, considering the upcoming SADC summit in August, that SADC should take a clear stance on the outcome of the August 2023 elections.”
Yes the elections was a farce and illegitimate but that did not stop you participating and taking up the few gravy train seats won even after SADC and AU had condemned the election process. Worse still, you conned your braindead followers to participate lying that CCC would win big because you had plugged all the vote rigging loop holes.
Timba and his CCC friends are misrepresenting the people of Zimbabwe, no one in his or her right mind is expecting SADC to resolve the disputed elections. Nonsense! What every thinking Zimbabwean is demanding to know is why CCC leaders lied to the people to get them to participate in the flawed elections to hide the real reason the party was participating was greed.
CCC leaders are threatening to hold public demonstrations during SADC’s August summit in Harare to placate their ignorant and gullible supporters. Everyone knows it is futile revisiting the rigged Zimbabwe elections given CCC leaders undermined the regional body by participating in the flawed elections and given there is no effective opposition party in Zimbabwe to work with since CCC imploded soon after the August 2023 elections.
For the last nine months, SADC leaders have ignored Chamisa’s post election whingeing. They know the demonstrations are an integral part of the whining and attention seeking; they will ignore it.
Change in Zimbabwe will come the day ordinary Zimbabweans finally open their eyes and minds and finally accept the political reality that MDC/CCC leaders have been running with the povo hare and hunting with the Zanu PF hounds ever since the 2008 GNU. The realisation will free the people to take the rational decision to replace the corrupt and incompetent MDC/CCC leaders with the competent opposition leaders who will implement the requisite democratic reforms.
MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement even one token reform after 24 years including 5 in the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Why it has taken 24 years for the people to realise Chamisa and company are corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless (many still have no clue); speaks volumes of the ignorance and naivety of the Zimbabwe electorate.
Like it or not Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have one of the most ignorant and naive electorate in human history! As long as the electorate remains ignorant and naive, Zimbabwe will remain stuck in this economic and political hell-hole Zanu PF has landed us into.
It is for us, Zimbabweans, to dig ourselves out of the hole; making foolish demands on SADC to resolve our situation will not get us out of the hole.
@ David
ReplyDeleteIt takes all sorts!
Zanu PF rigged the 2023 elections perpetuating the dictatorship and the suffering of millions of ordinary Zimbabweans. 44 years of rigged elections are the root cause of why Zimbabwe is a failed state.
The people of Zimbabwe have risked all to elect MDC/CCC leaders for the primary task of implementing the democratic reforms and thus end the dictatorship. It is a historic fact that MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement even one token reform in 24 years including 5 in the GNU.
It is very sad that even now with the benefit of hindsight some people still refuse to accept that MDC/CCC leaders have not only sold out on reforms but are keeping Zanu PF in power by participating in flawed elections out of greed. It is not only me, Wilbert Mukori, saying this.
“Look, you can't keep on participating in flawed electoral processes that serve to give big benefits to dictators such as Robert Mugabe. Mugabe has perfected the art of winning elections. So it will be very foolish for the opposition to continue legitimizing these sham elections which don't deliver. This country will go through a serious economic crisis in 2020 caused by Zanu PF. And yet, this is the only country where a government doesn't perform, it is encouraged by a super majority in parliament,” said Tendai Biti in a 2015 interview with Isaac Mugabi.
“So you can't continue subjecting Zimbabweans to processes where their hopes just get crushed.”
“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe has the potential to be a prosperous nation, the South Korea of Africa, if we can end the curse of rigged elections and bad governance. It is tragic that one of the reasons why the nation is stuck is we have some of the most foolish citizens on planet earth. They have their heads buried in the political leaders’ backsides they cannot think. In their blind loyalty to the leader they now consider him an infallible demigod.
What could be more tragic than considering a mere mortal; worse still one with a proven track record as corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless; a demigod!
It is little wonder Zimbabwe is a failed state, with such a braindead electorate; what else!
It is tragic that you are finding Zimbabwe’s tragic situation funny. But then, being stupid has its benefit - you do not know how stupid you are and so go about blissfully unaware of the tragic suffering you have brought upon yourself and others.
Nelson Chamisa is a corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless leaders. He lied about plugging vote rigging loop holes to con you and millions of other into participating in flawed 2023 elections. Go ahead and post another one of your “Don’t kill me with laughing!”
@ Bakedha
ReplyDelete“This Vagabond is irritating the whole group with his Anti Chamisa statement more than 3 times daily but had never attacked the hand that feed him (Tshabangu).”
Chamisa must account for what he did; he lied about plugging vote rigging loop holes to con people into participating in flawed elections. You hold Tshabangu to account as you see fit. Your argument I should not hold Chamisa to account until I hold Tshabangu to account is foolish. It is just another way of saying Chamisa is a demigod who should not be held to account.
Chamisa is a mere mortal and he is accountable - that is not negotiable! This message will be hammered into your empty head.

ReplyDeleteZanu PF would have never got away with the 2023 rigged elections if the party did not get the support of SA's ANC regime. The 29 May 2024 SA elections have changed all that, ANC has lost its majority in parliament and with it its arrogance. Zanu PF now knows that the regime will not get away with vote rigging and all such lawlessness.
ANC has had to swallow the bitter pill of losing political power after 30 years. Zanu PF have been in power for 48 years come 2028 elections and losing power will very tough indeed. The hangover from 48 years of addiction to absolute power will be the mother of hangover!
@ Richdee
ReplyDelete“The difference between zanu and anc is that the latter conceded defeat gracefully while the former tortured, maimed and killed after they lost power in a rigged election. That modus operandi won’t change in the near future irrespective of the opposition’s astuteness.”
I agree with you Zanu PF is a creature of habit, it will be near impossible to expect the regime to hold free, fair and credible elections. What matter here is not that the regime will hold free and fair elections but that it will not get away with it. Zanu PF would have never got away with 2023 rigged elections if ANC leaders had not thrown their full weight behind the regime.
ANC has just had a bloody nose from the 29 May 2024 elections - they have lost the political heavy weight and they will never back Zanu PF ever again in the near future at least!
@ Chin’ono
ReplyDelete“ZANU-PF is upset by the ANC's huge election disaster because the ANC supported ZANU-PF in its misguided actions in Zimbabwe including the rigging of elections.
The worst nightmare for ZANU-PF is an ANC/DA coalition with a DA foreign minister, that thought is giving ZANU-PF violent bouts of political diarrhoea.
I said in April that this election was not just about South Africa, it was about the region too, and the result will have far-reaching repercussions in Zimbabwe and beyond because of South Africa's position not only in SADC but the continent as the biggest and most sophisticated African economy.
ZANU-PF prefers the ANC to go into coalition with its former colleagues and not with the DA or smaller parties that would demand the South African government push for the rule of law and cleaner elections in the region.
It has nothing to do with ideology but self-preservation, knowing that it invested in the ANC and won't get returns if the ANC partners with political parties that will demand a rule-based SADC when governing and who will only govern in South Africa's national interest.”
ANC leaders have risked all to support corrupt and tyrannical regime like Zanu PF to promote the view that political party that fought for independence are extra special and must be allowed to rule no matter what. Well the South African voters did not buy any of that bull and denying ANC the majority in parliament has just knocked the stuffing out of the party.
The political model that Africa’s revolutionary political parties have the divine right to govern has just been broken. Of course, it would be nonsensical for ANC to try promote the model when it has just conceded defeat in SA.
Zanu PF will try to hang on to the foolish notion it has the divine right to rule and will continue rigging elections. The regime is a creature of habit and vote rigging is one habit the regime will find near impossible to drop. The reality is the regime will not get away with another rigged elections.
Indeed, if it was not for ANC backing, Zanu PF would have never got away with the rigged 2023 elections! It really does not matter whom ANC has for a coalition partner, ANC will tell Zanu PF that if Zanu PF rigs the elections or commit any such lawlessness, it will pay for it.

ReplyDelete“Chamisa put people in parliament. More than one third. It took 17 parties in South Africa to deny ANC 2/3 majority in a free and fair environment and it took Chamisa alone in a repressive and oppressive environment and Tshabangu is a known protégé employed to reverse the gains Chamisa made by a known tyrant and you leave the tyrant and the sellout and want to gag the innocent. Ukawana nguva ukwane.”
This is just typical of an irrational idiot like you, arguing in a circle.
MDC/CCC have been on the political stage for 24 years including 5 in the GNU and they have failed to implement even one token reform and have been participating in flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy. Have failed to implement even one token reform for the same reason they participated in flawed elections - greed.
Chamisa lied about plugging all vote rigging loop holes to con ordinary Zimbabweans into participating in the flawed elections only to perpetuate the dictatorship and the nation’s suffering.
Even after both SADC and AU had condemned the 2023 elections, CCC leaders still took up their gravy train seats claiming these were won in liberated zones where the elections were free, fair and credible. Of course, that was nonsense; a feeble excuse to justify their greed. It was the participation of opposition and the nearly 2 million who voted for Chamisa alone that gave SADC the excuse to let Zanu PF get away with rigged elections.
Only an idiot like you can continue to complain about Zimbabwe’s oppressive political environment on the one hand and praise CCC for participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed! How many times do you need to be told it is foolish to participate in flawed elections and that CCC are doing it out of greed! Fcuk me! Man you really are thick!
Jameson Timba, an administrator of a faction of the Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC), strongly criticized Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda for what he perceives as biased behaviour favouring another faction within the opposition party. Mudenda recently announced the appointment of Sengezo Tshabangu to a prominent parliamentary position, a move that Timba alleges undermines the integrity of Parliament.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking to the media in Harare, Timba accused Mudenda, who is affiliated with the ruling Zanu-PF party, of transforming Parliament into a farce and diminishing its reputation on the global stage. He asserted that Mudenda's actions were driven by a partisan agenda aligned with Zanu-PF's interests rather than upholding parliamentary norms and serving the people of Zimbabwe.
Kutungana kwembudzi! This is a trivial matter of no consequence to the nation.
These CCC leaders have been participating in these flawed elections knowing fully well that Zanu Pf was rigging the elections and that participating would only give Zanu PF legitimacy. Still they participated because they also knew that Zanu PF would give away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate no matter how flawed the process got. And the bait has worked wonders!
Chamisa even lied about plugging all the vote rigging loop holes to be absolutely his braindead followers participated in the elections. And they did!
Even after SADC and AU election observers condemned the 2023 elections as a sham, CCC leaders still went ahead and took up they few bait gravy train seats. The insisted the bait seats were in liberated zones were elections were free and fair. A truck load of bull just to hide their greed.
Of course, CCC leaders and herd’s participation and taking up the bait seat gave the SADC leaders who did not want to see Zanu PF denied the political legitimacy the excuse to do so.
The fight over the bait seats amongst the CCC leaders erupted soon after the August 2023 election results were announced but these are sell-outs, why should the nation care if they tear each other to pieces. The nation has more pressing matter to consider such as how to stop these sell-outs participating in the 2028 elections to allow Zanu PF to once again rig the elections and get away with it!
A recent report titled "On the Trail of African Gold: Quantifying Production and Trade to Combat Illicit Flows" by SWISSAID reveals that Zimbabwe ranks among the top five African countries engaged in gold smuggling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
ReplyDeleteAccording to the report, Zimbabwe trails only behind Mali in the volume of undeclared gold exports.
Despite the introduction of the Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) currency, which brought some stability, prices in United States dollars remain high. The report indicates that in 2022, approximately 24,000kg of gold produced by artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM) were declared, while an estimated 78,000kg went undeclared. Zimbabwe leads the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region in undeclared gold exports, with South Africa following closely behind.
This is a league of thieves we should not be playing in because it is the root cause why Zimbabwe is a failed state. This is a double edged sword, the nation is not only losing billions of dollars to the smugglers but some of the looted wealth is being used to bankroll the Zanu PF vote rigging juggernaut hence the reason the nation has struggled to unseat the regime these last 44 years and counting.
How ironic that the gold, diamonds and bounty in other mineral and other resources which should be the basis of the nation’s economic prosperity are now the cause of our growing economic poverty and political instability. Our failure to govern ourselves have turned a blessing into a curse.
