"Unoka" Biti "appeal" to tyrant Mnangagwa to uphold rule of law - No! Biti go implement the reforms like a man! W Mukori

“This is to advise friends and family that I am ok and in a good space. Thank you for your love and care. To Mr Mnangagwa, I appeal to you to stop your shenanigans, uphold the rule of law and protect the constitution. Zikomo Zikomo,” Hon Biti wrote on Twitter.

There was time when the whole world would have felt sorry for you Tendai Biti and joined in calling for Zanu PF to stop the political shenanigans, uphold the rule of law and protect the constitution; not now, not any more.

The world is aware that Tendai Biti and his MDC friends have had many golden opportunities to end the Zanu PF shenanigans once and once for all, notably during the 2008 to 2013 GNU; they have failed to implement even one token reform and wasted everyone of the many opportunities.

Many people have argued of how Zanu PF would not reform itself out of office and they are right in saying so. Since the 2013 elections, Zanu PF has had the presidency and the majority in parliament and senate; there was no chance of the regime implementing any meaningful reforms.

The best chance to implement the reforms were during the 2008 to 2013 GNU when, as the name implies, the government was neither a Zanu PF nor MDC but a hybrid government whose primary task was to implement the raft of democratic reforms to restore the individual freedoms and rights including the right to free, fair and credible elections.

The GNU was supposed to stop the blatant cheating and wanton violence that had marred the 2008 elections.

The task of implementing the reforms was left to Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends; they failed to implement even one token reform in five years.

To add salt to injury, MDC leaders have participated in flawed and illegal elections since the GNU debacle for the same reasons they had failed to implement reforms - they are breathtakingly incompetent and corrupt.

By participating in the flawed elections MDC leaders have given credibility to the flawed process and, by extension, legitimacy to the vote rigging Zanu PF.

The people of Zimbabwe have risked life and limb to elect MDC leaders into power on the understanding the party will bring about the democratic changes, the party name implied, to stop Zanu rigging the elections and thus end the dictatorship. Not only have MDC leaders sold-out in failing to implement reforms, they are now keeping Zanu PF in power by giving the regime legitimacy.

Tendai Biti and his MDC colleagues have never ever admitted to being incompetent and corrupt and, like Chinua Achebe’s Unoka have become expert at giving all manner of feeble excuses for their failures and betrayal.

“Many years ago when Okonkwo was still a boy his father Unoka, had gone to consult Agbala. The priestess in those days was a woman called Chika. She was full of power of her god, and she was greatly feared. Unoka stood before her and began his story,” wrote Achebe, in his book Things Fall Apart.

“’Every year,’ he said sadly, ‘before I put any crop in the earth, I sacrifice a cock to Ani, the owner of all land. It is the law of our fathers. I also kill a cock at the shrine of Ifejioku, the god of yams. I clear the bush and set fire to it when it is dry. I sow the yams when the first rains has fallen, and stake them when the young tendrils appear. I weed –‘

‘Hold your peace!’ screamed the priestess, her voice terrible as it echoed through the dark void. ‘You have offended neither the gods nor your fathers. And when a man is at peace with his gods and his ancestors, his harvest will be good or bad according to the strength of his arm.

‘You Unoka, are known in all the clan for the weakness of your machete and your hoe. When your neighbours go out with their axe to cut down virgin forests, you sow your yams on exhausted farms that take no labour to clear. They cross seven rivers to make their farms, you stay home and offer sacrifice to a reluctant soil.

‘Go home and work like a man!’”

Zimbabwe has been stuck in this man-made hell-on-earth for 41 years and counting, stuck with a corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical Zanu PF regime that has rigged elections to extend its stay in power. Our ticket out of this hell is by implementing the democratic reforms and secure free, fair and credible elections.

Free, fair and credible elections are a lot more than just a right; they are the very essence of good and accountable government. After decades of gross mismanagement, rampant corruption and murderous oppression that has left millions in abject poverty and over 35 000 murdered for political gain; Zimbabwe is desperate to get out of this hell.

What Zimbabwe needs right now is for SADC, the international community and ordinary Zimbabweans themselves to tell the MDC, the Unoka of Zimbabwe politics, “Go home and implement the reforms!”

MDC’s current position of participating in flawed and illegal 2023 elections with no reforms in place, on the strength of Chamisa’s SOLID plan to win rigged elections, is nauseating nonsense. Why accept rigged elections when it is your right, not privilege, to have free, fair and credible elections!

  1. The #NoToZimWorkPermits campaign and #PutSouthAfricansFirst, according to march convenor and activist Tshidiso Rantsa, was not a xenophobic act towards foreigners, but a cry to the government to prioritise its own citizens.

"What kind of country issues work permits to thousands of foreign nationals when more than 75% of its own youth are sitting at home without jobs. When we try and say something, we are labelled xenophobic for putting ourselves first," Rantsa said.

Zimbabweans should have been working hard to end the corruption and tyranny which are the root causes of the country’s economic and political mess. They have done very little and now they will be going back to the country to find the situation is even worse than when they left!

  2. THE government last month deducted between $2 000 and $4 000 from salaries of nurses and teachers, NewZimbabwe.com has learnt.

Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe secretary-general Raymond Majongwe confirmed the development, which he described as mere cruelty meant to fill up the looting at the National Social Security Authority (NSSA).

Most civil servants are earning between $24 000 and $27 000, which is below the poverty datum line (PDL) that stands at $36 756 for a family of six.

This Zanu PF regime is determined not to allow inflation to soar to the dizzying heights of 2008 when it peaked at the world record 500 billion per cent. The regime has managed to do this by throwing teachers, nurses, those dependent on social welfare and those with the least political muscle overboard.

The biggest mistake the teachers, nurses, war veterans and many other people have made is to assume they can survive in the Zanu PF dictatorship as long as they get their share of the wealth as promised by the ruling elite. They did not get anything from the regime, the promise was just to keep them quiet.

Zimbabwe is a pariah state and as long as the country remains a pariah state, there will be no meaningful economic recovery! It is therefore in everyone’s interest that the country implement the democratic reforms and end this curse of rigged elections and bad governance.

  3. The 2021 South African municipal elections were held on 1 November to elect councils for all local and metropolitan municipalities across the country. According to the Electoral Commission of South Africa, the ANC national support level dropped from 53.91% in the 2016 elections, when its decline began, to 46.04% this year, their worst-ever performance in a democratic election since the end apartheid in 1994.

Apart from that, the ANC lost and failed to secure majority control of major metros, including the commercial hub Johannesburg, encompassing the separate Ekurhuleni, Tshwane (which includes the capital Pretoria), Cape Town and Durban.

There were 66 hung councils. Main opposition Democratic Alliance’s national support also declined from 26.9% to 21.84%. The other key opposition party, the Economic Freedom Fighters, garnered 10.42% of the vote. Out of 213 municipalities, the ANC got 161 municipalities.

The problem is not so much with the liberation parties but with the people themselves, they have been brainwashed into believing the liberation parties have the divine right to rule no matter how incompetent they happen to be. In a country like Zimbabwe, when Zanu PF has rigged elections to stay in power, people have accepted that as a matter of course. "Zanu PF lost in 2008, but survived!" you said. We all know the party survived by blatantly cheating in the Much 2008 vote count and then launched wanton violence to punish the voters for daring to reject the party. This would have landed Zanu PF into serious trouble in any other country but not so in a brainwashed Zimbabwe.

Winston Church was Britain's leader in the WW2 and yet lost the post war elections. The British people were not rejecting Church but felt he was not the right leader to take them forward.

We really have a long way to cleanse our own brain into accepting what democracy means. ANC leaders are human and many of them have proven to be weak and corrupt. So why are we shocked that the people of SA should elect other leaders to rule!

  4. But Chinamasa said: "Zanu-PF wishes it to be known loud and clear that it is ready to wallop opposition parties by whatever name called and will take no prisoners."

"But it must be put on record that the by-elections, when promulgated will take place with barely a year to go before the 2023 harmonised elections, a complete waste of taxpayers' money."

He added: "Notwithstanding, it is, however, Zanu-PF's primary revolutionary duty to politically bury counter-revolutionary, anti-people sanctions seeking, political sellout outfits masquerading as democratic change makers and this duty has to be performed anytime anywhere."

MDC Alliance, however, said the by-elections were likely to produce a disputed outcome if held before implementation of electoral reforms.

MDC Alliance spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere said proclamation of an election date should have been accompanied by reforms.

"The consistent position that has been taken by the MDC Alliance is that any proclamation for elections must be accompanied by a clear reform roadmap that paves the way for an undisputed election," Mahere told NewsDay.

"The bad governance and legitimacy crisis that continues to plague Mr Mnangagwa's regime is a direct result of the disputed election of 2018. Their failure to deliver basic services, including public health, education, housing, water and food security as well as the attendant broken economy stem from the fact that they are not a people's government."

Mahere said the "broken social contract" could only be mended by electoral reforms before holding of free and fair elections.

"This is the only way to solve the bad governance crisis in Zimbabwe," she added.

"This is why we continue to champion a reform agenda on behalf of the citizens. To this end, we reiterate our call for the alignment of electoral laws to the Constitution, the full implementation of existing electoral laws, especially as they pertain to State media, the full disbandment of the partisan and militarised Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) secretariat.”

Of course, Zanu PF will “wallop the opposition”; what else! The party has carte blanche dictatorial powers to blatantly cheat and, if need be, use wanton violence to ensure a landslide victory.

MDC leaders had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms and dismantle the dictatorship during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. They failed to implement even one token reform and so Zanu PF has retained its dictatorial powers to wallop and so they will wallop!

MDC will participate in the flawed elections out of greed, they are after the few gravy train seats Zanu PF gives away to entice the opposition. They will be walloped and, as usual, complain the elections were rigged; they have started already!

You mean you could not tell what kind of man Unoka was from the quotation? Frankly, I don't think reading the whole book would make any difference to you!

It is not all who see who perceive; not all who hear, understand. Blessed are those who see and perceive; who hear and understand!

Poor Zimbabwe; we are one of the richest nation on earth in terms of natural resources such as minerals, rich agricultural land, etc. And yet, our people are some of the poorest on earth and all because of we have had the great misfortune of Achebe's Unoka for leaders and village idiots for citizens! “Removing Zanu PF without electoral reforms will forever remain a fantasy, and no amount of fasting, praying and screaming Chamisa Chete Chete & Ngaapinde hake mukomana will help!”

The whole idea of MDC coming up with “winning in rigged elections strategies” is an oxymoron! Free, fair and credible elections are a God given right and the very essence of good governance and our ticket out of this man-made hell-on-earth and not a privilege. So why would anyone with a working brain give up their right and chance to end their suffering in a gamble they have everything to lose and absolute nothing to gain.

I totally agree removing Zanu PF will indeed remain a fantasy as long as the regime continue to enjoy these carte blanche powers to rig elections.

What I find particularly nauseating is there are many Zimbabweans who, outwardly, look like human beings and endowed with the capacity to think but sadly clearly are incapable of any rational thought. Their brain has ossified into fat tissue after generation of sloth-like existence! When they chant “Chamisa Chete! Chete!” their eyes light up like fire-flies; there is nothing like nonsense to fire up fatty tissue!

“Them same old tired arguments that we all know about, repeated ad infinitum. Nothing new. No innovation in debate at all!!”

The root cause of Zimbabwe’s economic and political mess is the failure to hold free, fair and credible elections. The nation has been stuck with a corrupt, incompetent, murderous regime that has rigged elections, denying the people a meaningful say in the governance of the country, to stay in power.

The solution is to implement the reforms and stop Zanu PF rigging the elections.

The nation had many golden opportunities to implement the reforms, notably during the 2008 to 2013 GNU and MDC wasted the opportunities.

What you have failed to understand, not that I blame you (not everyone has the intellect to comprehend what many would consider common sense), is that the solution does not change as long as the problem does not change.

Indeed, in you punny idiotic mind you think is the problem is still there it must be because the solution is the wrong one and so get this fixation on a new solution. Only to end up accepting foolish solutions that will never ever work.

You are sold heart and soul to Chamisa’s “winning in rigged elections strategies” because they are new even thou they are regurgitated nonsense! Participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy is insane, you need to get that into your thick head.

Participating in flawed elections will give Zanu PF legitimacy; it is insane! There, I have said it a hundred thousand times and will say it a thousand million times and it will remain as true and valid as the day I said it for the first time. 9. BULAWAYO schools have been hit by a mass exodus of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) teachers with 145 having left since the beginning of the year.

The skills flight by STEM teachers has also resulted in a sharp decline in the number of local learners enrolling at the National University of Science and Technology (Nust).

This emerged during a meeting between the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Dr Evelyn Ndlovu and key stakeholders in Bulawayo.

Minister Ndlovu said Government is working on addressing the plight of teachers including a retention package to arrest the skills flight.

This week, the Minister for Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Professor Paul Mavima said Government was aware that the increases in the prices of goods and services had eroded the salaries of its workers, hence the need for an upward review.

Government has also assured its workers of the 13th cheque.

Minister of Finance, Professor Mthuli Ncube, have managed to stop Zimbabwe’s inflation soaring to the dizzying height of the 2008 era by throwing over board education, health care, social welfare and all those sectors affecting the weakest in society. The chickens are coming home to roost, the teachers, nurses, etc. have left the country in droves and already the nation is beginning to feel the ill-effects of a collapsed education and health care services.

Vision 2030 is about Zimbabwe attaining upper middle income status and we are expected to achieve it with an 80% plus skilled worker shortage when we could not do it with a highly skilled and motivate labour force in the 1980s! Only the very naive and gullible still believe this Zanu PF Vision 2030 garbage!

  10. THE ruling Zanu-PF party yesterday said it was making frantic efforts to engage Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema over social media rants targeted at President Emmerson Mnangagwa's government by the neighbouring country's ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) staff.

Zanu-PF acting spokesperson Michael Bimha told a media briefing in Harare yesterday that UPND spokesperson Joseph Kalimbwe's social media posts mocking Mnangagwa's government had the potential to damage relations between the two presidents.

Zanu PF is a party of thugs and seasoned thugs at that. Of course, Mnangagwa and his Zanu PF thugs are furious that President Hakainde Hichilema won the July 2021 elections in Zambia for no other reason than that the victory will encourage Zimbabweans to believe they too can have regime change.

Mnangagwa had no choice but to hire an expensive jet, take a large entourage on this all expense paid junket, etc. He has inherited an economy the equivalent of one starved cow compared to the seven fat cows and seven fat ears of corn that Mugabe inherited from Smith. Nonetheless, his Zanu PF cronies expect to be pampered now as during Mugabe’s days and so he has no choice but to act the part of big spender.

"Our leader will return to Lusaka and go home peacefully - to continue serving. There will not be airport victory celebrations, we didn't win any trophy. The country needs fixing - that is what matters most," he tweeted

Of course, Joseph Kalimbwe’s remark was the truth and the more reason it roughed Zanu PF feathers big time. In a way, Zambia has found the most effective way to hit a bully; expose the bully’s short comings by doing the right thing.

HH is stamping out corruption and Mnangagwa could only talk about it!

The next thing HH must do is drop the feeble excuse of blaming sanctions for Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown, that the rest of the SADC leaders have been bullied into taking up.

The coup de grace will be for just a few SADC leaders to refuse to endorse Zimbabwe’s 2023 elections, which everyone knows Zanu PF is rigging, as a free, fair and credible process. Zanu PF knows that the party will not get away with not implementing the dreaded democratic reforms as happened in the 2008 to 2013 GNU.

“We always knew the by-elections would never take place; the simple reason being they are all in opposition strongholds, and Zanu pf just cannot afford to boost the opposition morale by watching them win back 40 parliamentary seats a year before the elections.”

As much as Zanu PF would love to let MDC win back some of these seats for the sake of encouraging the opposition to participate in the 2023 elections. It is in the nature of the beast to be ruthless, Zanu PF will wallop the opposition in the by-elections but even more so in the 2023 elections.

Mnangagwa is a buffoon but still he is smart enough to know that he needs the opposition to participate in numbers in the 2023 elections to give the flawed process some modicum of credibility and, by extension, give the result some modicum of legitimacy. Right now there is a real danger of the world dismissing Chamisa, Mwonzora and the rest in the opposition as discredited opposition participating in flawed elections for the sake of the few gravy train seats on offer.

The buffoon would rather risk give away most of the by-elections seats to boast opposition confidence and political credibility going forward only to give them a good wallop come 2023 elections.

If you are pushing other men's buttocks, deeping your fingers on their genitals, getting them to say what you want to be said to Zanu, then your dignity as a man becomes questionable.

Chamisa is loved for being one who has tried better than anyone else in Zimbabwe. So, you can't be his judge because you are only an Internet warrior.”

You are not the first one, nor will you the last one, to suggest that I join one of the existing political parties (spoilt for choice given there were a staggering 130 parties at the last count) or launch a new political party. My answer to you is the same I have given others before you: what Zimbabweans need desperately right now is why the country is in a real mess and running round and round like a headless chicken. They need to stop and think!

Mankind is a creature of reason but you would not think so to look at what Zimbabweans have been doing these last 41 years.

Getting people to see the sheer stupidity of participating in a flawed and illegal election process to give the vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy is NOT a party political issue. It is a common sense and national issue that every Zimbabweans with half a working brain should see with their eyes and comprehend with their mind!

A common sense and national issue can be articulated by anyone regardless of their political affiliation. But is a country where the majority have been brainwashed and/or whose brain has ossified into useless fatty tissue, it makes better sense to talk about the insanity of participating in flawed elections wearing no party regalia.

Once the nation has had the chance to implement the democratic reforms and free the ordinary people to think freely for themselves that will be the time to launch a political party that will last beyond one’s life-time and worthy of the name.

Good things come to those who wait; this is one of those times when it really is good to wait!

  14. As of 12 November 2021 Zimbabwe has 133 329 (27) covid-19 cases 3.4 m (14k) had 1st vaccine 2.6m (8k) 2nd vaccine and has 4 691 (0) deaths.

Earlier this month the WHO announced that officially 5 million the world over had died of covid-19 but said the true figure is probably three times that, 15 million, because they know some country's official figures are understated. Zimbabwe is certain one of those countries whose official covid -19 figures are not to be trusted.

For one thing Zimbabwe has never carried to the conduct tracing test to the WHO recommendations, many people who had all the covid-19 symptoms were never counted as covid-19 cases only because they were not tested, etc.

The price of failing to keep track of the covid-19 cases and deaths means many covid-19 infected people were allowed to mix when they should have been in isolation resulting even more being infected and, no doubt, more deaths!

  15. It is interesting that people like Dr Mavaza does not deny that corruption and mismanagement are a problem in Zimbabwe. However, they pointedly refuse to admit that corruption and mismanagement have had a greater effect on the country's economic meltdown than sanctions even after leaders like Mugabe admitted the country had lost US$ 15 billion to diamond looters.

President Mnangagwa himself vowed "zero tolerance on corruption" when he got into power in 2017 and dismissed sanctions as something that was not going to hold back the nation's development. He has since admitted his failure to stamp out corruption and, it is clear for all to see, took up the sanctions cry because he needed cover for his failure to revive the economy.

Zanu PF's repeated failure to hold free, fair and credible elections; should have set alarm bells ringing in the heads of these church leaders warning them that Zanu PF is indeed a party of thugs. Why no alarm bells have rung out is itself proof these church leaders are not really concerned about the ordinary people because denying the people their right to a meaning say in the governance of the country is the alpha and omega of bad governance.

Of course, Father Mukonori, Wutaunashe and the rest of church leaders who have supported Zanu PF on sanctions and other similar matters are hypocrites who only pretend to believe sanctions are the root cause of the heartbreaking suffering masses in Zimbabwe. The know the real causes are corruption and mismanagement. They also know the people have failed to get these problems addressed because Zanu PF rigged the elections denying the people a meaningful say on who ruled the country.

As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state ruled by corrupt, incompetent and vote rigging Zanu PF thugs; there will be no meaningful economic recovery and no meaningful end to the people's suffering. Sanctions are just one way of keeping the pressure on Zanu PF to effect meaningful democratic changes and for that reason the sanctions on the regime must stay! The west must ignore the wittering of corrupt and incompetent sell-outs masquerading as concerned and caring church leaders.

  16. PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday implored Zanu-PF supporters to register to vote in numbers to ensure a "resounding" victory for the ruling party in the upcoming by-elections.

Mnangagwa said this while addressing party supporters in Gokwe during the launch of the 2021-22 Pfumvudza/Intwasa farming scheme.

No one is fooled by this! Everyone knows that the number of registered voters will shoot up to suit Zanu PF which explains why ZEC has never ever produced a verified voters’ roll. There will be no verified voters’ roll this time for the same reason - you don’t produce a verified voters’ roll if you are going to rig the elections.

Not that the failure to produce a verified voters’ roll will make MDC A and the rest of Zimbabwe’s opportunistic opposition think twice about participating. They know Zanu PF is rigging the elections they also know the party is giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate and these they find irresistible!

Personally I am disappointed with the international community especially the West, whilst they have told Mnangagwa to “go home and work like a man”; they have been very reluctant to tell the MDC crowd to implement the reforms and stop mess about. The wicked witches from the East have cheered and applauded Zanu PF corruption and thuggery and, it must be said, profited from the corruption and suffering of the masses.

  20. SOUTH Africa's governing party, the African National Congress (ANC) - the continent's oldest liberation movement - has for the first time since the 1994 democratic elections - dropped below 50% in local government polls after suffering heavy losses, amid rising social discontent and serious voter apathy.

The 2021 South African municipal elections were held on 1 November to elect councils for all local and metropolitan municipalities across the country. It was the sixth municipal election since the end of apartheid in 1994. According to the Electoral Commission of South Africa, the ANC's national support level dropped from 53.91% in the 2016 elections, when its decline accelerated, to 46.04% this year, the party's worst-ever performance in a democratic election since the end apartheid in 1994.

This has a lot to do with expectation. Did anyone realistically expect the liberation parties to have the monopoly of knowledge to guarantee their position as the ruling party.

Frankly, liberation nationalists like Robert Mugabe were never in any doubt that they are NOT the master know it all and so they only way to ensure they stayed in power was to rig the elections. Zanu PF wanted independent Zimbabwe to be a one party state.

When Mugabe did not get his wish in the multi-party democracy Lancaster House constitution, he made it clear that if the party lost the 1980 elections the bush war would continue. The people voted to end the bush war.

Once in power Zanu PF systematically eroded the power and independence of the state institutions to foster a de facto one party dictatorship that has existed to this day.

The Zanu PF dictatorship should have ended in 2013 if only MDC leaders had implemented the democratic reforms to ensure free and fair elections. Sadly, MDC leaders sold out and failed to implement even one token reform.

Worse still, MDC leaders are now helping Zanu PF stay in power by participating in flawed elections giving vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy.

  21. IN a move that could have far-reaching political consequences for the ruling Zanu-PF and the nation, Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga is contemplating challenging President Emmerson Mnangagwa in the party's elective congress next year, as the two powerful gladiators head for battle royale, amid a dramatic realignment of forces, deep state sources have told The NewsHawks.

This comes as Chiwenga moved this week to strategically de-escalate dramatically rising political temperatures between him and Mnangagwa, saying his rival will be the uncontested Zanu-PF candidate in the 2023 elections.

Zanu PF is not a democratic party both Mnangagwa and Chiwenga know this only too well. Mugabe managed to stay in power for 37 years not because he was popular with the party cadres and/or the populous. He imposed himself and used all manner of dirty tricks to stay there.

It took the military coup to finally force Mugabe out of office. Mnangagwa has only just got his feet under the desk and he is certainly in no hurry to go.

Chiwenga’s health is not good and he knows that if he is ever to become the top dog, then 2023 is his very last chance to do so. He is just a buffoon, just like the other two, but what he lacks in brain power is more than made up for in sheer ambition. Failure in the eyes of a buffoon is success!

Chiwenga can’t wait to become president and announce his Third Republic and how he is going to finally delivery mass prosperity.

Of course, neither Mnangagwa nor Chiwenga would risk losing power by implementing the democratic reforms to ensure free and fair elections. So whatever happens in Zanu PF elective congress, we can be certain the party will rig the 2023 elections.

“I can't see anyone winning against Chamisa. ED is very difficult to sell, as ZANU PF is full of bootlickers.”

I totally agree with you that if the elections were free and fair, the Zanu PF candidate will lose to Chamisa or anyone for that matter. But this is all wishful thinking because we know Zimbabwe elections are NOT free, fair and credible. Zanu PF is rigging these elections just as it has rigged past elections.

The real tragedy in Zimbabwe is that there many out there who, for 41 years and counting of rigged elections, will not admit Zanu PF is rigging elections because they don’t want to deal with the difficult task of implementing the democratic reforms. So they pretend elections are free and fair or, at worst, that Nelson Chamisa’s “SOLID” plan, his “winning in rigged elections (wire) strategies, will stop Zanu PF rigging the 2023 elections.

It is very sad and tragic that a whole nation can be so shallow, thick and slow. And the nation is paying dearly for its foolishness; the country has been sinking into the abyss for 41 years and may well have reached the point of no return!

“MDC did not have executive powers to implement reforms. ZANU PF preferred to be under sanctions rather than implement reforms. Let's us all lobby for ZANU PF to implement reforms instead of blaming victims of violence.”

There is mountain of evidence to show that MDC leaders “sat, ate and forgot about reforms” as Nelson Chamisa admitted to New Zimbabwe in 2019.

“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” (MDC leaders have learned to enjoy the gravy train good life, they will not rock the boat!” boasted Zanu PF cronies when asked why MDC were not implementing the reforms during the GNU.

People like you Arthur prefer to bury their heads in the sand rather than face reality and so have always come up with all manner of feeble excuses to justify why MDC leaders failed to implement even one reform during the GNU.

MDC leaders have proven beyond all reasonable doubt that they are breathtakingly corrupt and incompetent by failing to implement even one reform in 22 years, 5 of which in the GNU. Of course, they sold out and only a VI would still want a sell-out for national leader!

By the way, by participating in the flawed elections MDC are giving vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy - not that you with your head buried in the sand would understand such things - it is rocket science to you!

  24. Kasukuwere in an alliance with Chamisa

Saviour Kasukuwere is a thug with a well documented record and why anyone, anyone at all, would consider him suitable to hold public office beggars belief! Zimbabwe is NOT in this political and economic mess by accident because of our own stupidity and it is clear we have learned nothing and so the nation will continue to sink into the abyss.
