"Coming protests will be unstoppable" threaten Sikhala - so, did not reform so can protest! N Garikai

The MDC e-rally gave the party leaders the opportunity to once again grandstand and drum their chest like silverback gorillas!

"The video by this nurse (protesting nurse) is a reflection of the true situation that our country has reached. There is no better description other than to say that the country has gone to the dogs. This is the sign of what is to come. One day is one day!” proclaimed Job Sikhala, MDC A vice chairperson.

"The comfort zones for these people (in government) will soon be a bonfire. People are ready. They are just waiting for leadership!"

The people of Zimbabwe have risked life and limb to elect MDC leaders into power on the promise the party will implement the democratic reform, democratic changes, to end the Zanu PF dictatorship. MDC has been on the political stage now for 20 years, 5 of which they were in the GNU, and have failed to implement even one reform!

Did MDC leaders fail to implement the reforms to take the nation to the edge, “the country gone to the dogs”, so there can be street protests? This is just nonsense! These MDC village idiots are refusing to accept they have sold-out and are now pretending their failures were indeed part and parcel of their master plan to drive the nation into a crisis from which they will lead us out of.

This is no different from the economic prosperity mirage Zanu PF has been promoting these last 40 years. Zimbabwe had a thriving economy in 1980 Zanu PF misrule has all but destroyed the economy and Zanu PF has never acknowledge it is corrupt, incompetent and has no clue how to revive the economy.

However, the party has without failure maintained it had the solution to make Zimbabwe prosperous. Zanu PF did not have to destroy everything to make the country prosperous and yet that is exactly what the regime has been saying in its double Dutch!

Both Zanu PF and MDC have proven beyond doubt that they are corrupt, incompetent and utterly irrelevant, they are the problem and not the solution; the sooner the nation accepts that reality the sooner the nation can start focusing on the task of finding a way out of the mess.

"This time, the wave (protests) will be unstoppable. I don't make empty threats. I am not that character. I am a practical man. We deserve our peace and happiness," continued Sikhala.

"People governing our country should take responsibility for their failures. Trying to use other people as scapegoats is dangerous to their (the government's) very survival."

MDC has its own share of failures to take care of, charity begins at home. As for the unstoppable protests, this is exactly the situation the nation has been avoiding. Turning Zimbabwe into another Libya is the nightmare scenario we have been dreading but which is now a certainty.

If Zimbabwe is dragged into violent social unrest then both Zanu PF and MDC leaders will have a lot to answer for because it is these two parties blatant betrayal of the nation to feed their insatiable greed for power and wealth that has led to this.

“I am a practical man!” Yeah right! Then why have you failed to implement even one reform in 20 years and saved the nation from the 40 years and counting Zanu PF nightmare!

  1. Yeah, but we must never forget that MDC leaders were elected to implement the democratic reforms and stop the country sinking into the abyss. Sikhala and company have not implemented even one reform in 20 years and have watched whilst the country went to the dogs and now want to jump and rescue us! Only a fool will be impressed by that bull s***t!

“We want u to lead us in bringing these reforms since MDC has failed!”

Anyone, you, me anyone at all, who gets into State House following a free, fair and credible elections will do 1 000 times better than these Zanu PF hooligans; I will bet my bottom dollar on that! But first we must get the hooligans to step down so we can implement the democratic reforms, the pre-requisite for free, fair and credible elections.

The challenge is to get the Zanu PF hooligans to step down now that they are getting legitimacy from these oppositions opportunist who have given up the fight for free, fair and credible elections for the few gravy train seats!

MDC leaders have not just failed they are sell-outs working for the enemy whilst pretending to fight for the common cause. Chamisa says the 2023 elections will not go ahead without reforms; how many times have we heard that!

Tendai Biti talked about corruption and was very careful not to even imply election boycott because he knows that none of the MDC leaders will honour that. They will all be falling over each other to contest the 2023 elections even with not even a token reform in place, not even a verified voters’ roll!

The very fact that there are still some people who believe MDC will get us out of this mess without implementing the reforms goes to show we still have a very naïve and gullible electorate. They have learned nothing from the 40 years of Zanu PF and 20 years of MDC; nothing. Until we learn, we will not get out of this hell-hole!

“Why does Madhuku not implement reforms hanti he is in Polad with govt just like MDC was in a combined govt with Zanu in from 2009 to 2013? Are you afraid to talk to your president Madhuku about reforms but you want to tell presidents of other parties and even call them stupid and corrupt bcoz they do not want to implement reforms. What is NCA which you belong to doing about your dream reforms? Let MDC do what is politically relevant as of now stop making an necessary uninformed accusations.”

So now you blame Madhuku and POLAD for the failure to implement reforms? Your stupidity knows no limits! The condition for joining POLAD was the acceptance of Mnangagwa and Zanu PF as legitimate and thus the July 2018 elections as free, fair and credible. So if you accept the 2018 elections were free, fair and credible then why would you still want to “implement democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging elections and making sure elections are free, fair and credible,” the clarion call I have been making all along.

Your Border Gwezi teaching is coming to the fore! Zanu PF has often dismissed MDC as puppets of the west but when it suits the regime the have blame MDC for calling for the sanctions – the puppet controlling the puppeteer! You have contempt for Madhuku but when it suits you, you blame him for failing to implement reforms.

“Let MDC do what is politically relevant!” My foot! Name just one “relevant” thing they have done these last 20 years?

No, I will not let MDC continue to sell-out the nation for the few gravy-train seats. They hold public office, paid from our tax and are therefor accountable to all Zimbabweans and not just their wildebeest followers and Zanu PF double agents!

By held to democratic account is the one thing our politicians, on both sides of the political divide, cannot stand and for good reason – they are corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless. Holding these hooligans and sell-out to democratic account is the one thing I am determined to do to the day I die! It is driving you nuts, I know and I do not care!

“Zsdemocracts you always singing the same chorus of failed reforms implementations what does that solve? and what you think should be done for to be free?”

Zimbabwe has been sinking into the crashing abyss because for 40 years the country has been stuck with a corrupt, incompetent and murderous Zanu PF dictatorship. As long as Zanu PF is allowed to rig elections the nation will never get rid of the regime and thus will continue to sink deeper and deeper into the abyss. The solution is staring us all in the face; stop Zanu PF rigging the elections by implementing the democratic reforms designed to take away the regime’s carte blanche dictatorial powers. This is what Nomusa is saying.

I must say, I am speechless at just how shallow, thick and slow some people are. You are complaining about “always singing he same chorus of failed reforms implementations” but are oblivious of the country’s relentless sinking into the abyss and the tragic human misery and deaths that is causing. What can I say!

  5. There is no denying that Zimbabwe had its best chance ever to implement the democratic reform and dismantle the Zanu PF dictatorship during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. All Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends had to do was propose the reforms and approve them in parliament. MDC had the majority in parliament. They failed to submit even one proposed reform in five years! Not one!

Mugabe bribed the MDC leaders with the trappings of high office, the ministerial limos, the very generous salaries and allowances, US$4 million mansion for Save (Tsvangirai's totem name), etc., etc. In return the MDC leaders kicked reforms into the prickly pear thicket.

"Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!" (MDC leaders have learned to enjoy the gravy train spoils, they will never rock the boat!) Zanu PF cronies boasted when asked why MDC leaders were not implementing the reforms. Of course, MDC leaders sold-out big time!

Everyone can see the economic situation in Zimbabwe has become intolerable. As of 2019, 34% of the our people were living in abject poverty and the corona virus pandemic will push this figure even higher. This is socially, politically and morally unsustainable. And since Zanu PF, with MDC's connivance as we know, has blocked the chance of peaceful democratic change there will be social unrest.

Job Sikhala and his fellow MDC leaders has been predicting social unrest with the frequency and urgency of cock announcing the sun rise! The social unrest was coming just as the sun would rise but that is a moot and academic point; MDC leaders have found political relevance in making the prediction and they are not to be denied.

The violent street protests or worse is the last thing the country wanted and it is ironic that those who sold-out on the peaceful democratic route are now masquerading as the champions of the violence, insisting the street protests are the only way out and are unstoppable! The truth is MDC leaders are breathtakingly corrupt and incompetent, they were never going to implement the reforms and never will!

Job Sikhala is straining at the leash to start the street protest now but very few MDC leaders are ever present on the coal face of these protests. When the fighting is done, they will reappear, like George Orwell’s Animal Farm character Squealer, to claim the glory!

Chamisa and company will participate in the 2023 elections with no reform in place, the threat to boycott the elections is just the silver-backs grandstanding and posturing.

  6. I find the antics of MDC leaders like Job Sikhala and Tendai Biti insulting, to say the least. Every time they open their mouth they want us to believe they are courageous and they know what they are doing and yet they have been as deaf and mute as a stone on such issues as MDC leaders' failure to implement the democratic reforms designed to end the Zanu PF dictatorship. Talk of MDC having its own share of failures to deal with what is the point of that is the party's silver back gorillas are deaf, dumb and mute and refuse to deal with the failures.

We would not need these unstoppable demos if MDC leaders had implement the reforms!

Sikhala and Biti deal with the MDC failures or shut up!

If there was nothing MDC could do to get the reform implemented during the GNU then why the Dickens did they accept joining the GNU? This is just a typical idiotic nonsense we have often heard from Zanu PF and MDC leaders and their supporters alike. Mai Mujuru sat like a cabbage in Mugabe's government for 34 years and said nothing of substance. Her excuse: "puppies do not open their eyes the day they are born!" Some breed of dog, she is, it too 34 years to open her eyes!

Mnangagwa was Mugabe's chief enforcer and even rigged elections to make sure the dictatorship remained in power for 37 years. When he fell out with Mugabe, Mnangagwa done everything in his power to divorce himself with what Mugabe, insisting Zimbabwe was a new dispensation when all that has change is the name of the dictator, the dictatorship is very much alive!

MDC leaders have failed to implement even one meaningful democratic reform in 20 years. What the nation must do is acknowledge MDC leaders have failed and look for others who will get the reforms implemented. The last thing the nation want to hear is these feeble excuse why MDC leaders have failed.
