Zvorwadza praise ED for "new dispensation" - oblivious a mamba with new coat is still deadly N Garikai

There is always a problem when zeal is not tempered by reason, Sten Zvorwadza is one example.
“The controversial political activist heaped praises on President Emmerson Mnangagwa for “ushering in a new political dispensation,” reported Zimeye.
“Opposition leaders are creating unnecessary discord in the country. We cannot comprehend what they really want. They are too pessimistic about Mnangagwa’ s policies. Let us commend the President’ s efforts to transform the economy,” said Sten.
1)   It is now six months since President Mnangagwa took over from Mugabe and nothing has really changed other than that the Zanu PF dictatorship has a new leader, ED. The single most important change the nation has been dying for is democratic change, the dismantling of the Zanu PF dictatorship to restore the individual freedoms and human rights including the right to free, fair and credible elections.
President Mnangagwa has promised free and fair elections but, six months later, he has yet to implement even one democratic reforms necessary for free and fair elections. Indeed, instead of implementing the reforms Zanu PF has steadfastly continue to implement its usual vote-rigging schemes such as bribing the Chiefs and deploying them war veterans and army personal to intimidate the electorate, loot billions of dollars from Marange to bankroll its vote-rigging schemes, etc.
2)   Whilst most of Zimbabwe’s opposition politicians are some of the most corrupt and incompetent politicians in human history, still it is not enough to accuse them of “creating unnecessary discord in the country” without giving example.
If the truth be told, it must, it is Zanu PF that has created all the economic and political mess we are in today. What the opposition is guilty of is failing to get us out of the mess even when they had the golden opportunity to do so; the best example being during the GNU when MDC should have implemented the reforms but failed to get even one reform implemented in five years.
People like Sten Zvorwadza, Chris Mutsvangwa and his rogue war veterans, VP Chiwenga and even President Mnangagwa himself are shallow minded people who, under the influence of a ruthless and cunning tyrant like Robert Mugabe can be turned into murderous zealots, as our history shows.
Chiwenga, Mnangagwa and many of the November coup conspirators have enough absolute power for the last 38 years and anyone who they would ever risk losing it in free, fair and credible elections, is naïve. The Mugabe Zanu PF dictatorship wanted absolute power and the Mnangagwa Zanu PF dictatorship too wants absolute power the coup did not change this basic fundament of Zanu PF no more than a mamba shedding its old coat does not make it a harmless snake!

  1. So, we have the war veterans fighting for Mnangagwa to win and their children fighting for him to lose? This is nonsense! President Mnangagwa has just promised the war veterans more generous allowances and, no doubt, their children will benefit from this too.

It is becoming increasingly clear that these elections are flawed and illegitimate and MDC are being exposed for being the fools they are in agreeing to contest these elections. Zanu PF is fighting a rare guard action in trying to convince the opposition that they can still win these elections.

  2. "Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga yesterday claimed the ruling Zanu party was God's creation and ordained to remain in power until eternity," reported Bulawayo 24.

Addressing mourners at the burial of fuel mogul Kudakwashe Tagwirei's father, Phineas, in Shurugwi, Chiwenga said the ruling party would resoundingly win the upcoming general elections and continue governing the country.

"Zanu-PF is the party that was put by God on this earth and should, therefore, continue ruling this country," he said.

"In a few months' time, we are going to finish business (in elections) and Zimbabwe should then move forward."

When one hears such statements, one is left in no doubt that Zanu PF is still a deadly mamba and all that happened in November last year was the dictatorship cast off one dictator for another just like a snake casting off one skin for a new one!

  3. Zanu PF is stealing these elections, with not even one reforms in place, it is hard to see what else is there to stop them! The greatest foolishness that has ever come out of the opposition camp is the nonsense that they can win rigged elections!

  4. Sten Zvorwadza is very passionate about things, I will give him that! His greatest problem is he understand issues at a very superficial level, at best. His praise of President Mnangagwa and his junta in this case is certainly out of his failure to see that the Zanu PF dictatorship is the same party of vote-rigging and murderous thugs.

Yes, President Mnangagwa has dropped Mugabe's vitriolic and in your face aggression language and mannerisms. He has scrapped Mugabe's obnoxious indigenisation law. He and his junta friends have been out crying out "Zimbabwe is open for business!" dressed up in their colourful scarfs - looking like a family of Southern ground hornbill. All this is change of some sort but the real change that matter here is the regime giving up its dictatorial powers and restore the individual freedoms and human rights including the right to free, fair and credible elections.

The hornbills have stubbornly refused to implement even one democratic reform. Not one! If Sten Zvorwadza was not so naïve and gullible then he should have seen by now that Zanu PF is rigging these elections just as it has rigged past elections. To praise President Mnangagwa for scrapping the indigenisation law and religiously crying out "Zimbabwe is open for business!" and yet fail to see he is rigging the elections is as naïve as calling a mamba harmless because it has just shed off its old skin.

Zimbabwe is in this mess because we have the misfortune of having many naïve and gullible people like Zvorwadza who have foolishly helped Mugabe impose this corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship on the nation. Now they are working for a new tyrant, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

  5. @ Marallas

"Nomsa Garikai and Wilbert Mukori are Siamese twins from hell, like they are both children of Sanctions Fathers of the MDC. Our country is sure cursed to have had such beings as citizens," you say.

I am a citizen from hell for pointing out at the injustice of 90% out of work and ¾ living in abject poverty whilst the filthy rich ruling elite live in multi-million dollar mansions, have a fleet of posh cars, have 45 gold watches, etc. The ruling elite have stayed in power all these last 38 years because they rigged the elections and they are at it again this year. I am a citizen from hell for calling for the implementation of the democratic reforms to restore the freedoms and basic human rights of all the citizens including the right to free, fair and credible elections.

Well, I never thought that the prince of hell was interested in justice, freedom and the dignity of all! If he is then; yes, I am a citizen of hell!

  6. Veritas is doing a great job in explaining the law to the people and no doubt would do the same as regards voter education. But if we agree that Zimbabwe's electoral problem is one of vote rigging then one has to ask why are we spending time, energy and money on voter education when it is not the problem?

With no meaningful democratic reforms in place Zanu PF is rigging these elections just as it has done countless times in the last 38 years.

It is too late to stop these elections going ahead still we can make it clear that the process is flawed and therefore must be declared null and void.

Voter education will only be playing into Zanu PF's hands in that we will be encouraging people to take part in a process we know is so flawed and illegal the result is a foregone conclusion. By encouraging the people to participate in the election we are giving the process credibility!

  7. Poor Sten Zvorwadza, the spirit is willing but does not have the intellect and some has often found himself picking the wrong cause and running with it. Zanu PF thugs will only be too glad to him people like him fighting in their corner. He is just another Jabulani Sibanda or, indeed, Emmerson Mnangagwa. Mugabe used Mnangagwa to do his dirtiest laundry and was going to discard him like used toilet paper!

Of Course, Zvorwadza is talking nonsense, Zanu PF is still a party of ruthless thugs - that has not changed.

All these people like Zvorwadza are supporting the regime and it will be years from now before the penny finally drops that the dictatorship is still alive and kicking but by then the damage would have been done.
