Mnangagwa discovers top dog straitjacket has no wriggle room especially now that coups are "legal"! W Mukori

"Zanu-PF has a constitution and under that constitution, we sit as a congress to elect our president," said Zanu PF acting national spokes-person Patrick Chinamasa.

"In 1977, a lot of the leaders had fallen by the wayside. The most senior person in rank remaining was (the late) Cde Robert Mugabe and at the congress in Chimoio, he was elected president of Zanu then," Chinamasa said.

"In November (2017), exactly on the basis of the precedence of 1977, exactly that is what happened when it became very clear that our constitution was being trampled upon by the G40 cabal and that they were threatening the stability of the nation, the party moved in and we elected, at our December congress, President (Emmerson) Mnangagwa as leader of Zanu-PF.”

Zanu PF is a party of ruthless thugs with no regard to rule of law and the constitution much less the truth, not even historic facts.

Zanu PF is a party of ruthless thugs whose greed for absolute power and wealth is insatiable. They have ridden roughshod over the ordinary people denying them their freedoms and rights including the right to a meaningful elections and even the right to life.

Mugabe was able to hold the party together for the first 30 years after independence only because there was a lot of wealth, loot he then dolled out to the party leaders to feed their ever growing appetites. The power and loot was the glue that held Zanu PF together.

The Zanu PF thugs’ are corrupt, incompetent and wasteful and with time their appetites for loot grew exponentially, by the late 1990s the Zimbabwe economy was in serious trouble.

Mugabe seized white-owned farms, the only other asset of value left, to give his very demanding and wasteful cronies. The farm seizures resulted in the collapse of the agricultural sector and with it the economy.

To make matters worse, Zanu PF started printing money fuelling the hyperinflation which, by 2008, reached the nauseating heights of 500 billion percent! Zimbabwe’s economy completely collapsed, and has never ever recovered; trigging the dog-eat-dog for the scraps amongst the Zanu PF thugs.

Chinamasa contradicted his early claim that Zanu PF an orderly party that respected the rule of law and the constitution. Mnangagwa’s 2017 succession was not a smooth transition but a messy and ruthless affair culminating in the bloody November 2017 military coup.

"Behind the scenes, a lot took place, but it is too early to say. The further from November 2017, the more likely we are going to tell you,” confessed Chinamasa.

"We are yet to heal. Those were the worst ever days in the chapter of the life of our President, Cde ED Mnangagwa, worse than the hanging sentence because then, it was the enemy he had chosen to fight against notwithstanding any consequences."

Mnangagwa’s clarion cry following the November 2017 coup was “Zimbabwe is open for business!” He was cocksure it would revive the economy generating the much need loot to doll out to his restless Zanu PF cronies. The expected flood of investors and lenders in answer to his call has never materialised. “Zimbabwe is open for business!” is dead in the water and Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown is even worse than before the coup.

Chimanasa said the succession in Zanu-PF was a straitjacket and while it allowed everyone to manoeuvre "within the straitjacket, no one could manoeuvre outside it".

Mnangagwa knows that his position as leader of Zanu PF and government is not secure. He is reportedly building a bunker complex, such is his fear of another military coup. In the November 2017 coup Mugabe lost the crown, that is as much wriggle room as he got!  Mnangagwa may got get even that much wriggle room in the straitjacket he is wearing; he may well lose his head and the crown upon it!

Mnangagwa got Justice George Chiweshe to rule the November 2017 coup “was legal, justified and constitutional”. The judgement has comeback to haunt him. Everyone knows that Zanu PF party elections are rigged and that leaves a military coup as the short cut to power and glory, particularly now there is a legal precedence too.

As for the ordinary people, there really is no wriggle room, full stop. Zanu PF thugs have become addicted to the absolute power and the loot it has brought them over the last four decades. It is bad enough they are not having their fill because of the economic meltdown; they are not going to risk losing the scraps too by risking losing power in a free, fair and credible elections. No way!

When Mnangagwa got into power following the November 2017 military coup, he promised, amongst many other things, to hold free, fair and credible elections. He did not implement even one token democratic reform. Not one!

Whilst everyone who observed Zimbabwe’s July 2018 elections condemn the election as a farce. “The electoral commission lacked full independence and appeared to not always act in an impartial manner. The final results as announced by the Electoral Commission contained numerous errors and lacked adequate traceability, transparency and verifiability,” stated the EU Observer Mission final report.

“As such, many aspects of the 2018 elections in Zimbabwe failed to meet international standards.”

Indeed, it was impossible to trace and verify anything given ZEC failed to produce something as basic as a verified voters’ roll;  a legal and common sense requirement. Why all Zimbabwe’s opposition parties, all 130 of them, participated in the July 2018 elections knowing fully well that Zanu PF was rigging the elections is only a mystery to those who do not know just know corrupt and incompetent MDC leaders are.

During the 2008 to 2013 GNU Zimbabwe had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms which, implemented, would have ended the curse of rigged elections and bad governance once and once for all. The task of implementing the reforms fall to Morgan Tsvangirai and his fellow MDC leaders. They failed to implement even one token reform because Mugabe bribed them with the trappings of high office, the ministerial limos, the generous salaries, the US$ 4 million mansion for Tsvangirai, etc. The MDC leaders had the snout in the feeding trough and forgot about the reforms for next five years!

Ever since the failure to implement the reforms MDC and the rest of the opposition camp have participated in the elections knowing fully well with no reforms Zanu PF would rig the elections. They did so because they also knew that Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats, bait, to entice the opposition to participate regardless. It has worked!

Nelson Chamisa has been making the usual noise, demanding the implementation of “comprehensive reforms to end the culture of disputed elections”! Zanu PF know when push comes to shove, Chamisa and his MDC A friends will be filing their nomination papers even with no verified voters’ roll!

“As far as we are concerned 2023 election is a forgone conclusion. In fact it is over before the people have vote.” Chinamasa declared with the confidence of one who knows exactly what he talking about. Confidence born out of 40 years of rightly predicting a landslide Zanu PF election victory every time without failure.

Mugabe survived as Zanu PF top dog and head of state for 37 years because he had loot to buy blind loyalty and could bend and even break the party rules to suit his selfish megalomania needs. The country’s economic meltdown changed all that; without the loot down payment blind loyalty evaporated like the morning mist under the African sun.

Mnangagwa has no loot with which to buy blind loyalty and so his hold on power is tenuous the more so that military coup is now “legal, justified and constitutional!”

Anyone outside of Zanu PF cannot aspire to govern Zimbabwe, as long as Zanu PF retains the carte blanche dictatorial powers to rig elections, thanks to MDC leaders who have all but sold-out on the fight for free, fair and credible election.

Zanu PF is a party of corrupt, incompetent and murderous thugs. Zimbabwe’s economy under Zanu PF stewardship was doomed to collapse because no economy can sustain for long the criminal waste of human and material resources; 40 years of Zanu PF misrule has left the Zimbabwe economy in ruins.

Zanu PF itself was doomed to implode. With the economy in meltdown, Zanu PF thugs were going to fight each other to the death over the scraps; the centre will not hold and the party will implode.

Zanu PF is sinking into the abyss under it own dead weight. But as long as Zanu PF remain in power, the governing party, the party will drag the whole nation into the abyss with it. It is for the people to end Zanu PF’s strangle hold on the nation or suffer and dead the consequence of continue Zanu PF tyrannical rule.

The people can end Zanu PF rule by demanding the implementation of the democratic reforms to ensure the next elections are free, fair and credible. Just because MDC leaders have sold-out on free and fair elections does not mean we too must throw in the towel!

  1. With no reforms Chinamasa knows that Zanu PF is going to rig the elections and that MDC will participate to give the process some crediblity. This has happened in 2013, happened again in 2018 and he is pretty sure it will happen again in 2023.

Chamisa has talked about the need to implement reforms to stop contested election results but that is all hot air. When push comes to shove, MDC A will participate in the 2023 elections with not even a token reform in place just as they have done in the past!

  2. This is the experience which you will meet as a returning resident.

Corruption is too much in Zimbabwe . Chihuri was better and i wonder why they removed him.

Comparing Mnangagwa's rule with Mugabe's rule is as futile as a mouse comparing a cobra to a black mamba. Both are deadly! So stop being foolish!

  3. The Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe advises that the following six Applicants have been awarded Free-to-air National Commercial Television Broadcasting Services licences:
    i. Jester Media (Pvt) Ltd trading as 3K TV;

    ii. Zimbabwe Newspapers (1980) Limited trading as ZTN;
    iii. Rusununguko Media (Psi) Ltd trading as NRTV;
    iv. Acacia Media Group (Psi) Ltd trading as Kumba TV;
    v. Fairtalk Communications (Psi) lid trading as Ke Yona TV; and
vi. Channel Dzianbahwe (Pvt) Ltd trading as Channel D.

The new licensees shall have eighteen (18) mouths to roll out their plans and go on air, in line with section 1117) of the Broadcasting Services Act [Chapter 12:06]. In the twist of failure to broadcast, the licences will be availed to other aspirants through a similar process.

One can only hope these have not been selected because they are loyal to the regime and will refused to be forced into the ZBC straitjacket!

  4. Ncube owns Alpha Media Holdings (AMH) publishers of NewsDay, the Standard, and the Independent. The rejected application was for HSTV.

Supa Mandiwanzira, another media owner and Zanu PF politician also had his application by AB Communications rejected.

The Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) announced Friday the licencing of six new TV stations.

Successful applicants were Jester Media trading as 3K TV, which is reported to be owned by the Daily News; Rusununguko Media owned by the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA); Acacia Media Group, owned by Sharon Mugabe.

Mugabe once contested and lost in the Zanu PF primary election for Goromonzi South.
Other successful applicants were Fairtalk Communications reportedly partly owned by the ZNA, and Channel Dzimbahwe owned by former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) chief executive Happison Muchechetere.

This does not augur well with the fight for freedom of expression and free thinking. What Zimbabwe needs is to implement all the democratic reforms and then hold free, fair and credible elections and then reset the country’s political system properly.

Zanu PF will never reform itself out of office and it is now intolerable that the nation should continue to be held to ransom by the party and its surrogates!

  5. ZANU PF’s most powerful person, next to Emmerson Mnangagwa, the national commissar Victor Matemadanda has been poisoned.

Matemadanda has revealed that he was poisoned during last week’s Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting in Marondera which was also attended by the party leader, Mnangagwa.

Zanu PF is a party of ruthless thugs. Mugabe had only managed to stop the thugs fighting each other by bribing them with wealth for them to loot. When he could not get more wealth in the late 1990s as the country's economic decline took its toll, he turned to the only other asset the country had left - land.

From 2000 to 2010 Mugabe kept his cronies happy by dishing out seized white-owned farms like confetti. And when he gave away the last farm, the in fighting in Zanu PF started with vengeance. In 2014 Joice Mujuru and her supporters were booted out of the party.

Before the dust of Mai Mujuru's "baby dumping", as Grace Mugabe called it, had settled Zanu PF had already divided into two new warring factions, G40 led by Mugabe and his wife and Lacoste led by Mnangagwa and his Army friends. On November 15th 2017 Mugabe was rudely awoken with an AK47 Rifle pointing up his back side. It was G40 members' turn to be baby dumped!

Mnangagwa's failure to revive the economy has meant that he has nothing to feed the ever demanding and wasteful Zanu PF thugs and so the dog-eat-dog in Zanu PF is as intense and ruthless as ever. No one is safe from Mnangagwa right down to the village party leader - this is a dog-eat-dog fight! If Matemadanda did not know that, now he does!

  6. Rawlings led a military takeover of the country on two occasions, first in 1979 and 1981, but went on to oversee Ghana's transition to multi-party democracy before stepping down in 2001.

"He teaches us a very important lesson particularly in Zimbabwe that it is important for the military to play a role that is progressive and defending civilian authority and not replace civilian authority," Chamisa said.

"The fact that he was able to allow for a smooth handover takeover and having allowed people to vote, we salute him and we hope that in Zimbabwe, we are not going to continue to see the replacement of the ballot by the bullet or the replacement of the voice of the people in villages and in communities by the sound of the gun."

"Let it be about the people, about the civilians defining who they want to govern them and not the military," he said. Zimbabwe's politics has been dominated by the military since 2002 when the country's top military bosses declared that they would not recognise a leader without liberation war credentials.

The real tragedy in Zimbabwe is that we have leaders who are so thick, shallow and slow they just don’t get it!

During the 2008 to 2013 Zimbabwe had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms, including reforms designed to end the Army, Police and CIO’s meddling in politics, and thus end the country’s curse of rigged elections and bad governance once and once for all. MDC, Chamisa was a senior member of the party, was given the task to implement the reforms. MDC leaders sold-out and failed to implement even one meaningful reform in 5 years.

It is rich for someone who had the chance to ensure the country’s security sector was clean and professional to now pontificate about a progressive army that respects the citizens’ rights and freedoms. Mugabe has corrupted and politicised our security sector by creating the Joint Operations Command; granting the Army, Police and CIO diamond mining concession, carte blanche powers to loot; etc.

It is naive for anyone to believe these top brass security bosses and just going to give up their lucrative diamond mining concessions, etc. just because some sell-out opposition upstart said they should!

After the blatant betrayal and selling-out on reforms during the 2008 GNU, the people of Zimbabwe should have deserted MDC in drives. The very fact that are still some who could to sheepishly and slavishly follow leaders like Chamisa speaks volumes of just how naive and gullible they are.

Chamisa has no clue how to end the Zanu PF dictatorship and, sadly, the Zimbabwe electorate have themselves failed to grasp this reality! Zimbabwe is a nation of the blind leading the blind into the abyss!

  7. MDC Alliance leader, President Nelson Chamisa, has described the dearth of democracy in Africa as unfortunate and catastrophic. Real change is unstoppable!

“Real change is unstoppable!” These are nauseating cliche that African leaders have repeated again and again ad nauseam.

The people of Zimbabwe have risked life and limb, no fewer than 500 were murdered in the wanton violence of the 2008 elections alone, to elect MDC leaders into power on the understanding the party will bring about the democratic changes the nation has been dying for for decades. MDC has been on the political stage for 20 years, 5 of which in the 2008 to 2013 GNU, and yet have failed to implement even one token reform. Not even one!

The cold reality is that change is possible and competent and focused leaders would have brought about real change during the 2008 GNU. MDC leaders failed to deliver that real change because they are breathtakingly corrupt and incompetent.

In a leaked cable back to Washington USA Ambassador to Zimbabwe 2004 to 2007, Chris Dell, said Tsvangirai was a “flawed and indecisive character who, if he was ever to be leader, would be an albatross round the nation’s neck. Well Tsvangirai did get into power, he was Prime Minister in 2008 to 2013 GNU and he and his MDC friends failed to implement even one democratic reform. And ever since, the party has been the dead weight dragging the nation into the abyss.

“Real change is unstoppable!” Yeah right!

What the people of Zimbabwe must wake-up to is that real change is possible but that it will take competent and focused men and women to bring about that change and not some corrupt and incompetent upstart whose only contribution to change is repeating meaningless cliches whilst sell-out to the enemy.

“When did u leave Zimbabwe? B4 1997 may b? MDC did not fail to implement reforms but Zanu blocked everything. GNU means u are governing with others and u don’t implement anything on your own . All the blame must b on Zanu pf door step for the failure to implement reforms. Idyai mari ye Zanu zvakanaka kwete kuda kupusisa vanhu pano. Fokofo. We should to agree to differ on opinion but not on historic facts, truth and reality. You clearly do not know what the 2008 to 2013 GNU was about, what the democratic reforms are and how they were going to be implemented, etc. And so all your assertions and claims above are based on ignorance.

“MDC did not fail to implement reforms but Zanu blocked everything,” you say. Can you name one reform MDC tried to implement and Zanu PF blocked?

No one, not even the MDC leaders who were on the coal face throughout the GNU, can name even one such reform; because they never tabled even one reform throughout the GNU.

When the SADC leaders demanded that the coming Zimbabwe elections in July 2013 should be postponed to allow reforms to be implemented Zanu PF said no. Patrick Chinamasa, who was the Minister of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs throughout the GNU (Obert Gutu of MDC was his Deputy Minister), argued that there were not even one outstanding reform proposal before parliament. It was nonsensical to postpone elections to implement reforms when there are no outstanding reforms to be implemented.

The obvious question then was why had MDC fail to table even one proposed reform in five years?

“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” (MDC leaders have learned to enjoy the gravy train good-life, they will not rock the boat!) Zanu PF cronies boasted openly when they were asked why MDC was not implementing any reforms.

MDC leader have proven beyond all reasonable doubt that they are breathtakingly corrupt and incompetent.

The real tragedy for Zimbabwe is that there are some people who continue to bury their heads in the sand, refuse to accept historic facts, and follow these MDC sell-outs like sheep to the slaughter. And so the nation is stuck for 20 years and counting waiting for MDC to deliver real change that will never ever come. We should have accepted that MDC leaders are not up to the task and started searching for the men and women who will implement the reforms.

  9. VICE President Kembo Mohadi has encouraged Zimbabweans in the diaspora to support the local economy and make the country an investment destination of choice.

Zimbabwe, through its Diaspora community, can grow and transforms the lives of ordinary citizens and help attain upper-middle-income economy status by 2030.

Interesting, Zanu PF has pointedly refused to give Zimbabweans in the diaspora a meaningful say in the governance of the country but now that the regime has failed to attract any foreign investors it would like Zimbabweans in the diaspora to fill the void.

As much as Zimbabweans in the diaspora would like to see the country prosper, it would be good for their relatives and friends to be self-sufficient and not have to continue to depend on diaspora dollars just to survive. The reality is that there will be no meaningful economic recovery in Zimbabwe as long as the country remains a Banana Republic governed by corrupt, incompetent and vote rigging murderous thugs.

The best Zimbabweans, in the country and outside, can do for the good of the country right now is focus on the need to implement the democratic reforms, the pre-requisite for free and fair elections and an end to the curse of rigged elections and bad governance.

Vision 2030 is just a mirage, the latest one in a string that Zanu PF has used to appease the naive and gullible whilst the regime drags the nation deeper and deeper into this man-made hell-on-earth. For 40 years Zimbabweans have follow Zanu PF blindly like sheep to the slaughter, the deeper we have travelled down this hell-hole the hotter it has become. It is going to get even hotter!

  11. The worsening economic meltdown is fuelling the Zanu PF meltdown. The fast shrinking economy has brought abject poverty to the door steps of everyone in the country including the Zanu PF ruling elite. They know they only hope of keeping poverty at bay is for them to climb the greasy pole as high as they can as quickly as they can and, whilst they are they, loot as much as they can as quickly as the can.

This is a feeding frenzy of tadpoles in a fast shrinking pond; instead of feeding on mosquito larvae or some such food they start feeding on other tadpoles! All the sickly tadpoles will breakfast, the slow developers will be lunch and all those unlock to find themselves surrounded will be eaten, starting with the tail or hind legs. The idea is to feed as quickly as possible so one can get the hell out of the pond before one is eaten or water dries up!

Zanu PF thugs have clearly failed to revive the country's economy but if anyone thinks that is going to encourage Mnangagwa and company to give up power; they could not be more wrong. Zanu PF's resolve to stay in power is stronger now than ever. The worse the economic meltdown gets the harder the Zanu Pf thugs' resolve that they must stay in power. They associate losing power to being thrown out with the impoverished majority, that they cannot stomach!

The cold reality is to the country must do something to stop the runaway economic meltdown and since Zanu PF cannot do it the country must find others who will. After holding the nation to ransom for 40 years the nation must stand up to these Zanu PF thugs and tell them in no uncertain terms that enough is enough!

  12. YOUNG women have been encouraged to take advantage of government economic empowerment programmes to transform their lives and contribute to national development.

In an effort to eradicate youth unemployment and grow the economy, government continues to create opportunities for marginalised groups, including young women by partnering the private sector.

Young women of Chegutu under the banner of Empowering Young Women were this week presented with business opportunities by companies operating in the town.

Guest of honour at the event Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Minister Dr Sithembiso Nyoni encouraged young women to take the initiative in establishing their own enterprises, saying it is government's policy to create opportunities for all.

The nation is sick and tired of all those utterly meaningless gimmicks! How many young women are there in Chegutu and how many of them have benefited from this partnership? Unemployment soared to 90% plus run up to the chaotic years of collapse of the country’s agricultural sector and hyperinflation soaring to the nauseating heights of 500 billion percent in 2008. The economy has never recovered, unemployment is a nauseating 90% plus today.

To offer a handful of young women these so called partnership with private sector and make all this big song and dance about it in a country with a sea of young women desperate for gainful employment is sickening. Zanu PF must accept Mnangagwa’s “Zimbabwe is open for business!” great idea to revive the comatose economy is dead in the water. The party must now allow the country to search for others with different big ideas.

Zanu PF has held the nation to ransom for 40 years now, this cannot be allowed to continue! Zimbabwe must have free, fair and credible elections; no if, no but!

  13. @ Mavaza

When she was appointed Minister, Sen Mutsvangwa pushed to re-establish the BAZ board, which had not been operating for close to five years, and that lack had derailed the process of implementing media reforms which President Mnagagwa has said must be prioritised. "These are exciting times and the Second Republic is not going back on giving information to people. We know the importance of reaching out to everyone.

"The President, when he was inaugurated, talked about Zimbabwe being open for business and the importance of access to information which is actually enshrined in Section 51 and 52 of our Constitution.

"We have been working hard to ensure that we give Zimbabweans variety. We hope that those issued with licences start working on them and ensure Zimbabweans have variety," said Minister Mutsvangwa.

Upon assuming office in 2018, Minister Mutsvangwa and Permanent Secretary Mr Nick Mangwana targeted urgent media reforms and in a short time, the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (AIPPA) has been repealed and replaced with the universally accepted Freedom of Information Act which is in agreement with the country's Constitution.

The ministry's vision is to create a toxic-free media environment that does not polarise the nation. The opening of the country's airwaves will soon see more community radio stations being set up to promote media pluralism.

In any society in which freedom of expression and association and a truly free media is treated as a right of every citizen and not a privilege; government has no business to play. The press is truly free and independent. After 40 years of tightly controlled public media plus a constant hurried and harassed private print media, no electronic media, we are now expected to celebrate the granting of six carefully selected TV stations. The regime and its usual coterie of apologists are making a big song and dance over nothing, as usual.

There are many who have said that Zanu PF will never reform itself out of office. There can be no doubt now, events have proven them right. All this talk of a changed Zimbabwe after the November 2017 coup, the Second Republic, is all just hot air. Zimbabwe is still a Banana Republic governed by corrupt, incompetent, vote rigging and murderous thugs.

The country’s economic is in total meltdown after 40 years of gross mismanagement, rampant corruptions and crass lawlessness that has made it impossible to do business. Investors and lenders alike have shied away from doing any business in Zimbabwe ignoring Mnangagwa’s clarion call “Zimbabwe is open for business!”

Zanu PF rigged the July 2018 elections but what it cannot do is “rig” economic recovery. Zimbabwe’s economic meltdown is getting worse and as long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state, there will be no meaningful economic recovery! All this talk of making “Zimbabwe an upper middle income economy by 2030” is just more hot air!

What Zimbabwe needs is to implement the democratic reforms; scrapping the Ministry of Propaganda and freeing the media, is top on that list; to ensure free, fair and credible elections and thus finally end the curse of rigged elections and bad governance.

  14. The UN World Food Programme, which has traditionally provided aid to the poor in rural areas, has expanded its reach to urban dwellers.

The World Bank predicts the economy will contract by 10 percent this year, while the government says it will shrink 4.5 percent due to macro-economic and Covid-19 shocks.

Mnangagwa has blamed the economic struggles on unnamed enemies.

"This battle is being fuelled by our political detractors, elite opportunists and malcontents who are bent on pushing a nefarious agenda," he has claimed.

The ruling Zanu-PF party claimed Friday that at least 500,000 formal jobs had been created under Mnangagwa.

Only the naive and gullible people wanted to give Mnangagwa a chance after the November 2017 coup. Any one with half brain knew Mnangagwa was a corrupt, incompetent, vote rigging and murderous thugs masquerading as changed man, a democrat, and that the coup had transformed Zimbabwe from a pariah state to a democratic nation. He even promised to hold free, fair and credible elections.

He pointedly refused to implement even one toke democratic reform and blatantly rigged the July 2018 elections - proving beyond all doubt that the “Second Republic”, “Zimbabwe was open for business!”, etc. was all just hot air.

Zanu PF will never reform itself out of office and all attention must now focus on get the regime to step down to create the political space to allow the country to appoint others who will implement the reforms leading to the holding of free, fair and credible elections.

Zanu PF has held the nation to ransom for the last 40 years, this cannot be allowed to continue any more. Zanu PF thugs do not have the divine right to rule the country. All those who hold public office from now on must get that mandate from the people through free, fair and credible elections!
