"In 2020, give God a chance to help" - He helps those who help, not shoot, themselves P Guramatunhu

“First, the year 2019 was one of the hardest for us as citizens. The socio economic situation deteriorated and life continued to be harder for ordinary Zimbabweans,” said Jacob Ngarivhume, President of Transformer Zimbabwe, in his New Year address to the nation.
You are 100% correct that the nation is in a serious economic mess and, since Zanu PF has no clue what to do to revive the economy, the situation is set to get worse. The party rigged the 2018 elections but has since discovered it cannot rig economic recovery too.
It must be stated here and now that Zanu PF would not have rigged the 2018 elections and, so far at least, get away with it; if it was not for the Zimbabwe’s corrupt and incompetent opposition. There is no denying that Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends had the golden opportunity to implement the democratic reforms during the 2008 to 2013 GNU which would have ended the Zanu PF dictatorial powers to rig elections. They failed to get even one reform implemented. Not one!
MDC leaders went on to participate in the 2013 elections knowing fully well that with no reforms in place Zanu PF would rig the elections. And, worst of all, they knew that by taking part in the flawed and illegal elections they were giving credibility to the flawed process, as one MDC leader, David Coltart admitted.

“The worst aspect for me about the failure to agree a coalition was that both MDCs couldn’t now do the obvious – withdraw from the elections,” confessed Coltart in his book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of tyranny in Zimbabwe.
“The electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility.”
Mr Jacob Ngarivhume and his Transform Zimbabwe party joined hands with four MDC factions and other opposition parties to form MDC Alliance (MDC A) to contest the 2018 elections. They all knew that Zanu PF was rigging the elections, which as we know happened, and that by participating they were giving the illegal process credibility and, thus, giving illegitimate Zanu PF regime some modicum of legitimacy.
“We must build a common vision for our nation. We must stand up to fight together. Indeed we are stronger together….” Prayed Ngarivhume.
“And of course we should not forget that our hope as a nation is in God. We must agree that we need to give GOD a chance. We have tried ALL we can as people but to no avail.
“Let 2020 be the year we give GOD a chance as a nation!”
What common vision did you and your fellow opposition members offer the nation by participating in an illegal 2018 elections and thus giving the illegitimate Zanu PF regime credibility?
The best MDC A can do for the nation right now is to publicly admit, by participating in the July 2018 elections, the party sold out big time. The party must then admit that both the parliamentary and presidential elections were rigged, both Zanu PF regime and Mnangagwa are illegitimate and must step down.
God helps those who help themselves and not those who shoot themselves in the leg by knowingly giving credibility to an illegal process out of selfishness and greed!
MDC leaders have not gone from hunting with the Zanu PF hounds to now sleeping with the enemy. The sooner the ordinary Zimbabweans wake up to this political reality and stop following these sell-out blindly like sheep, the sooner the nation hope to get quality leaders who will, finally, implement the reforms.

  1. People like Ngarivhume are corrupt, incompetent and sell-outs, of course he knew that with no reforms in place, Zanu PF would rig the July 2018 elections. Of course, he knew that by participating MDC A was giving the the flawed and illegal elections some modicum of legitimacy.

He agreed to participate regardless of the flaws and selling out because he had hope to get one of the urban seats, Zanu PF has traditional given away as bait. He squeezed out of the urban areas by the likes of Tendai Biti and found himself contesting a rural seat.

In the rural areas, the Zanu PF vote rigging juggernaut is absolutely ruthless, the voters are reduced to serfs who will not dare do anything to displease the overbearing landlord - Zanu PF and its proxies. Zanu PF gets its 2/3 majority in rural areas and it was not going to let up!

Jacob Ngarivhume, like all the other opposition candidates who participated in the flawed and illegal elections is not man enough to admit he sold out. So instead, the village idiot in turning to God for help! God gave his a brain and there is little else He can do if someone decide to waste his God given talents, especially when he is blinded by greed.

The people of Zimbabwe have to wake-up to the reality that these opposition politicians who continue to participate in flawed and illegal elections are cavorting with Zanu PF at their political expense. It is for the people themselves to public denounce those sell-out opposition parties and show the world that they do not represent the common people.

  2. MPILO Central Hospital will next week fully open its outpatient department as 75 percent of junior doctors who were on strike are back at work.

He said the public will be notified when the outpatient department is fully operational.

The doctors who reported for duty are part of the 448 who were recently fired by the Health Service Board for misconduct, after disciplinary hearings.

The hearings were conducted after the courts dismissed their strike as illegal but they remained defiant claiming to be incapacitated and did not report for duty.

Zimbabwe is a failed banana republic in which nothing work. The total collapse of the country’s health care service, epitomises this failure. Zanu PF insist government has no money to pay the doctors a living wage and yet the regime is spending a lion’s share of the limited resources on the extravagant lifestyles of the ruling elite, who continue to seek all their health care need outside the country at great cost to the nation. The regime is also beefing up its Police State machinery for the sole purpose of ruthlessly silencing all dissent and criticism.

Even if all the doctors returned to work, they will not be able to do their work properly in an empty stomach, without medicine, no working equipment, no electricity, etc., etc.

Zimbabwe’s economic crisis is a man-made problem caused by criminal waste of the country’s human and material resources by this Zanu PF dictatorship. The nation has been stuck with the regime for 40 years because it rigged the elections to stay in power.

As long as Zimbabwe remains a pariah state there will be no meaningful economic recovery and no meaningful revival of such critical services as health care.

The nation is sinking and those who believe they can fight a living wage for themselves are naive; where will the regime get the money to pay them when the economy is in total meltdown. This is the time when one must see the bigger picture and stop focusing on the single pretzel. At times like these there is nothing to be gained by doctors, teachers, etc going on strike demanding salary increases.

Zimbabweans, across the board, must now join together and demand an end to the curse of rigged elections and pariah state. They must demand that this vote rigging and thus illegitimate Zanu PF regime steps down; so the nation can appoint an interim administration, tasked to implement the democratic reforms and deliver free, fair and credible elections.

  3. This is the big disappointment about Zimbabwe, we have political leaders who have no clue what they are doing. They shoot themselves in the foot and then ask for God for help!

Not one of the opposition candidates who participated in the July 2018 elections can ever say that he or she did not know that the elections would be rigged. Not one of them did not know that by participating they will be giving Zanu PF some modicum of legitimacy. They were all warned of these things and they ignored the warnings out of greed.

If Nelson Chamisa, Tendai Biti, David Coltart and the rest of the MDC leaders were serious about taking Mnangagwa and his illegitimate regime to task then they must admit the whole electoral process was flawed and illegal and walk out. The party's position of condemning the presidential race only is cherry picking; allowing the party to hang on to the few parliamentary and senate seats they got and the party to hang on to the $3.4 million pay the party got from the political party finance act.

Chamisa is holding out on accepting Mnangagwa as the winner of the presidential race only because he is asking Mnangagwa to give him a bit more of the spoils of power than he has already. He is pretending that he wants reforms to be implemented but we all know he does not care about the reforms. If he did, then he would have had them implemented during the 2008 GNU!

MDC leaders are praying to God for help to end the Zanu PF dictatorship which they have had many opportunities to dismantle but did not because they are getting a share of the spoils of power.

Mnangagwa, for his part, he rigs the elections and then claims the people have spoken, "The voice of the people is the voice of God!"

It must be said that the Lord blessed Zimbabwe with mineral wealth, rich soils for farming and lots more beside. No doubt, He gave us as much brain cells as anyone else out there. He must be disappointed to see so many half-wit because the brain cells have long turned into fatty tissue after decades of idleness!

Millions are starving in a country which should be able to feed its own people, the Garden of Eden!

The country's mineral wealth such as diamonds, which should be a blessing to all, are now a curse because it is the one fuelling the insatiable greed of the ruling elite!

    What a tragedy!
