Zimbabwe is a failed state and political stagnation is one of the causes - MDC/CCC have played their part in that! W Mukori

Zimbabweans in the country and abroad are gearing to protest Mnangagwa’s takeover of the SADC chairperson. To what end and purpose? They will not say because there is no rational reason for the protests!

“Zimbabweans living abroad have expressed concerns over the Southern African Development Community's (SADC) lack of action against President Emmerson Mnangagwa for leading what they consider an "illegitimate" government following disputed election results last year.

As Mnangagwa prepares to assume the chairmanship of SADC at the 44th SADC Summit on August 17, 2024, there is growing anger among Zimbabweans regarding the unresolved issues from the 2023 elections.

Diaspora Zimbabweans, like Tendai Mapfumo in the UK, are organizing protests globally to highlight the dire economic conditions in Zimbabwe and the perceived mismanagement by Mnangagwa's administration. They argue that hyperinflation, poverty, unemployment, and human rights abuses have worsened under Mnangagwa's leadership. Critics, including Pamela Magwizi and Petty Ziramba, question Mnangagwa's fitness to lead a credible regional organization, citing failures in economic policies and a disregard for democratic principles.

Human rights abuses, including violent crackdowns on peaceful protests and opposition leaders, are highlighted by Tatenda Alexias Chifamba, Blessing, and gender activist Priscilla Makechemu. They argue that Zanu-PF's hold on power is maintained through coercion rather than genuine democratic processes. The diaspora calls on SADC to reconsider its decision to appoint Mnangagwa as chair and to pressure for democratic reforms in Zimbabwe.

The 44th SADC Summit will address issues such as politics, defense, security, and the impact of environmental challenges like El Nino-induced droughts and floods. The summit serves as the policy-making institution for the regional bloc, attended by Heads of State and Government from SADC member states.”

The worst cause in this world must be ignorance especially self inflicted ignorance. Yes self inflicted ignorance is a curse worse than death itself because the ignorant have often shot themselves in the foot causing great suffering and even shot themselves in the head!

Yes Mnangagwa rigged the 2023 elections; SADC, the AU and all the other election observers condemned the election process as flawed and illegal; and, per se, this Zanu PF regime is illegitimate. But SADC did not deny Zanu PF political legitimacy as happened in 2008 because Zimbabweans had participated in the elections in their millions.

They were warned repeatedly that participating in the flawed elections would give the process the modicum of credibility and give the result legitimacy. They ignored the warning buoyed by Chamisa’s promise that he had plugged all the vote rigging loop holes. People were told this was blatant lie given ZEC had failed to produce something as basic as a verified voters’ roll. But once again the 2 million who voted for Chamisa and the 3 to 4 million Zimbabweans in the diaspora who cheered and applauded the participating in the elections ignored the warnings.

It is Zimbabweans, in their ignorance and stupidity, who handed vote rigging Zanu PF political legitimacy in a silver platter. They do not want to accept their folly and so they are blaming SADC!

SADC leaders take it in turn to be the chairperson of the regional body, there are no elections. It is the turn of whoever is Zimbabwe’s State President to be SADC chairperson and Mnangagwa is that man! Why these Zimbabweans are protesting is only a measure of their ignorance and stupidity particularly when they are they ones who gave Mnangagwa the presidency!

They completely lost in their cloud cuckoo land of the ignorant and stupid they hear reasons but never comprehend any of it. Their brains have ossified into fat they are incapable of any rational thinking. Giving the ignoramus the vote is the one of the biggest mistakes we ever did since both Zanu PF and MDC/CCC have exploited this rich ladder to keep themselves in power.

Both Zanu PF and MDC/CCC have done everything in the power to keep millions of Zimbabweans poor, ignorant and fearful and they are fighting tooth and nail to  stop all efforts to educate the people! Zanu nPF has stifled debate  and democratic discourse by undermining freedom of expression and free media. MDC had the opportunity to end this during the GNU and only Tsvangirai wanted was that the public media should stop calling him a puppet - which they did for a few months!

Not even one of these Zimbabweans in the planned protests would admit that Chamisa lied about plugging the vote rigging loop holes much less that they were foolish to have believed him. A clear sign it will be a day’s work to get this lot to participate in flawed 2028 elections on the back of yet another idiotic lie, another winning RIGGED election strategy, to give vote rigging Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the nation’s suffering. Stop the world, I want to jump off!

"Americans have send man to the moon and we are still trying to reach the next village!" moan President Julius Nyerere in 1969. He must be turning in his grave to know that in Zimbabwe, the country he called the "jewel of Africa" in 1980 and had the potential to become the South Korea of Africa is today a failed state. The challenges of reaching the next village back in 1980 are nothing compared to today given the robust infrastructure is gone, basic services such as education and health care have collapsed, etc.

The future is grime because we never learn from the past or from others. We are the consumers of technology without ever understanding it much less contribute. Cry the beloved country.

Both Zanu PF and MDC/CCC are taking the people of Zimbabwe for monkeys; Zanu PF's vision 2030 is a mirage and Chamisa's "Change is coming!" promise is a lie. I give both the middle finger salute.

The people of Zimbabwe must be educated, knowledgeable and diligent is we are ever going to put an end to this double curse of rigged elections and bad governance. Knowledge is power!

  3. The country’s infrastructure is in a state of rot and decay and each long overdue project is celebrated with song and dance to hide the true picture. Who are we trying to fool who is so blind they cannot see the rot and decay beyond the whitewashed walls.

“My brother, I don’t think you are changing anything by complaining about everything. What can you and I do to move forward for a positive Zimbabwe you desire. Let’s channel our passion and energy to develop something, create employment and open opportunities.”

The number one challenge is educating the electorate who are so ignorant, naive and gullible the believe such idiotic nonsense as Chamisa’s change is coming because I have plugged all vote rigging loop holes. The people have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship. If we do not educate the voters then this is set to happen again in 2028!

    What are you offering?

You don’t even know what the problem is much less offer a solution. You cannot bear to hear anyone hold your political leader to democratic account - that is the “negative” you are wittering about!

How anyone can consider a corrupt and incompetent upstart like Chamisa a demigod or a murderous buffoon like Mnangagwa a presidential material in this day and age beggars belief.

“We will never boycott any elections ,never! Boycotting will give the ruling party more legitimacy ..”

How naive so you think Mnangagwa created POLAD to entice the opposition to participate in elections because he did not want to have “more legitimacy” is they boycotted the elections. And Chamisa was doing the nation a big favour con them to participate in a flawed elections and thus denying Zanu PF even “more legitimacy”. How naive!

No wonder we are a failed state, we really have one of the greatest number of brain dead people per capita in the world!

  6. The tragedy is by participating in these flawed elections time and time again these braindead Chamisa Chete Chete morons are perpetuating the Zanu PF dictatorship and the nation’s suffering. We must and have to stop this insanity!

  7. Forget me, I have never held public office. Let’s talk about Chamisa, he has been on the political stage for 25 years now, please name one democratic reform he has implemented!

You are a man of little intellect and the best I can expect from you is for you to shut up and stop wittering your usual Chamisa Chete Chete nonsense. But being a realist, I know the only thing that will ever stop you wittering is death!

You are not the only village idiot out there, there are millions which explains why Zimbabwe is a failed state and doomed to remain thus!

As for you, you will continue talking nonsense; you are what you are - a moron. So please continue!

“The assumption of the Chairmanship of Sadc by Emmerson Mnangagwa , although coincidental through it being rotational , being itself acquired through no act of merit is wrong and inappropriate whilst Sadc is still addressing the legitimacy issue arising from the elections ( August 2023) which were condemned as neither fair , credible ,nor free or neither conforming to sadc guidelines on elections by Sadc's own instrument for the observation of the same for it's member states.”

Who said SADC was “still addressing the legitimacy issue arising from the elections ( August 2023)”? Just because Chamisa and his Chamisa Chete Chete brain dead morons want SADC to still address this issue does not mean the SADC leaders must listen to Chamisa.

SADC leaders received Chamisa’s letters complaining about the rigged elections have have decided to ignore him. It is now nearly a year since the rigged elections the regional body is certainly not going to do anything else on the matter.

The SADC report, just as EU and many others, has recommended that Zimbabweans must implement a raft of democratic reform to ensure future elections are free, fair and credible. Chamisa &Co. have ignored these recommendations in the past and he even lied about “plugging all the vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!” The braindead mob believed the lie and have participated in flawed elections time and time again.

Chamisa is making a farce demanding that SADC revisit the SADC Election Observer Mission (SEOM) report to draw attention away from the fact that he and his colleagues are, yet again, doing nothing to implement the reforms. His next move will be to corral his braindead mob to participate in the flawed 2028 elections! The mob will participate in their millions. It is sickening!

Mankind is supposed to be a creature of reason. How is it possible that Zimbabwe has so many men and women whose behaviour is no different from that of sheep!! No wonder we are a failed state!

National Democratic Working Group, like many other Zimbabweans readily acknowledge the sheer futility of the pressuring SADC to deny Mnangagwa the chairmanship of SADC; he is getting because it is Zimbabwe's turn and nothing to do merit. And yet they are joining in the planned street protests out of the wildebeest herd mentality.

As for Chamisa & Co. they had hell bent on the protests to draw attention away from the fact they are doing nothing to implement the democratic reforms everyone has been calling for decades including SADC. Next thing will be Chamisa conning his herd to participate in the flawed 2028 elections on the back of yet another idiotic lied, strategy to win RIGGED elections.

Chamisa Chete Chete herd must be stopped participating in flawed 2028 elections to perpetuate the dictatorship and the nation's suffering!Enough is enough!

It is nice to be a simpleton because you only see what you want to see and not what is there - the reality. To you having another political party is the answer. In 2018 there were 130 political parties in Zimbabwe, that did not stop the electoral being conned into participating in flawed elections and perpetuating the dictatorship.

As long as we still have millions of ignorant, naive and gullible voters who will be conned to participate in flawed elections by an idiotic lie like I have plugged all the vote rigging loop holes; nothing will change.

There are some things we should not even be arguing about such as the sheer futility of participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy because voters were conned by an idiotic lie like I plugged all the vote rigging loop holes. There is a mountain of evidence to prove this is foolish and yet millions participated last year and it is almost certain millions will do so again in 2028!

We have the great misfortune in having millions of Zimbabweans who are brain dead they believe anything they are told no questions asked. Man is supposed to be a creature of reason, they are not. They brains have ossified into fat tissue, impermeable to reason and logic, and they are incapable of thinking for themselves. And to crown it, the braindead mob has the vote!

Chamisa held a very senior public office as leader of CCC, he is per se accountable to the people. This should be accepted by all as necessary for a healthy and functioning democratic society. The very fact that we still have people like you who still believe Chamisa is a demigod speaks volumes of why we are a failed state.

Mnangagwa, the buffoon he is, maintains 2023 elections were free, fair and credible. He got away with the rigged elections only because Chamisa and his CCC friends participated in the flawed elections out of greed and conned millions of their brain dead supporters to participate giving the regime legitimacy.

If we do not stop Chamisa conning his Chamisa Chete Chete brigade participating in 2028 elections, we will have 48 years of rigged elections and Zanu PF boasting the elections were free and fair.

“I respectfully propose that we postpone this discussion to a later date, specifically in 2063, as its current relevance today in 2024 escapes me. I am concerned that our focus on this topic may be misaligned with the pressing needs of our nation. Zimbabwe is making significant progress, and our leadership is actively implementing innovative projects that drive growth and development. In contrast, dwelling on elections at this juncture strikes me as mismatched with the reality on the ground. It appears that we are out of sync with the pulse of our nation's progress.”

Mnangagwa rigged 2023 elections; why is he denying it? Zanu PF has lied about many things including rigged elections and economic progress. Remember Mugabe’s promise of mass prosperity, “gutsa ruzhinji” that has turned into mass poverty.

Mnangagwa’s vision 2030 is a mirage. It is now 7 years since the 2017 military coup, half way to the 2030, and yet all the signs are that Zimbabwe’s economy is still in a mess. Indeed, corruption, mismanagement and tyrannical oppression are worse now than during Mugabe days! Only the fools will believe the propaganda lies that there is economic development.

The people of Zimbabwe did not believe Mnangagwa’s propaganda lies and would have voted him out of office if the elections were free, fair and credible. He rigged the elections to stay in power and now he is lying he rigged.

Mnangagwa is luck that MDC/CCC leaders are corrupt and incompetent, Zanu PF is still in power only because the opposition have sold out these last 24 years!

"Still waiting for bankable options on the table!."

And meanwhile you will follow Chamisa no questioned asked! You believed Chamisa’s lie that he he plugged all the vote rigging loop holes and participated in the 2023 elections giving Zanu PF legitimacy.

You were warned that it was foolish to participate in the flawed elections but would not listen. No doubt you still believe in the lie and blame the lack of a “bankable options on the table” for your stupidity. Come 2028 you will be conned into participating in the flawed elections, a day’s work for Chamisa. How convenient!

  16. Mnangagwa threatening to silence all dissent!

Mnangagwa step up the violence This is typical coming from the regime that has ruled through fear, ignorance and brute force. The lawlessness started with the blatant rigging of elections, both SADC and AU condemned the 2023 elections, and per se this Zanu PF regime is ILLEGITIMATE!

The illegitimate regime is maintaining its iron grip on power using brute force. Zanu PF ndeye ropa! We all know about Gukurahundi, the 2008 election coup, the 2017 military coup, etc., etc. And it was none other than Emmerson Mnangagwa who was at the head of the murderous thugs in all these events. There is nothing new in Mnangagwa opening yet another murderous chapter in the country’s history!

The nation had a golden opportunity to end the Zanu PF dictatorship in the 2008 to 2013 GNU and MDC wasted the opportunity. And now the nation is regretting it! Still we must be ready to make the most of the next opportunity to implement the democratic reforms and finally end the Zanu PF dictatorship!

  17. DId Chamisa lie about plugging the vote rigging loop holes or not? It is nonsensical to deny that he lied and yet accept Zanu PF rigged the elections! This is no different from Zanu PF’s nonsensical position insisting the elections were free and fair and yet cannot deny ZEC failed to produce something as basic as a verified voters’ roll! Of course, it is pointless arguing with some one with no regard for truth and rule of law!

    ReplyDelete
  18. @ BaChipeneti

MDC leaders failed to implement even one token reforms during the GNU. CCC leaders took up their gravy train seats even after SADC and AU had condemned the 2023 elections, etc.; was all this in aid of “pushing Zanu PF to expose its vote rigging skills” too?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Every Zimbabwean has a right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country. This is at the heart of good governance and hence the reason Zimbabwe is a failed state.

SADC and the AU condemned the 2023 Zimbabwe elections because they were flawed and illegal. ZEC failed to produce something as basic as a verified voters’ roll for Pete’s sake. Zanu PF has got away with the rigged elections once again but only because MDC/CCC leaders have sold out by failing to implement reforms and connived in participating in the flawed elections to give the regime legitimacy.

Zimbabwe is a failed state and the consequences is the economic ruins, the political paralysis and the tragic human suffering due to abject poverty and political repression. The idea that this madness should be allowed to continue is preposterous!

Zanu PF rigged the 2023 elections and we must put an end to the double curse of rigged elections and bad governance. Enough is enough!

“Five (5) undeniable historical facts about Zanu PF and CCC election war.

    22 January 2024

    By Akson Potera

Pre, during, and post 2023 election, I shared my personal views with Zimbabweans about what was happening before during and after elections.

    1. In April 2023, I shared a short article titled: The million dollar question
Here is or was the question :
    • Would the 2023 election be different from other elections, comprehending that there were no electoral reforms and that the refree was still a player too ?
    2. 11 June 2023
I shared another article, perhaps that was the most widely shared and read article titled:
Is the presidency of Chamisa safe from (internal) cabals?
In other platforms (National Dialogue Forum and National Reclamation Assembly), with no reluctance, I named 5 of those cabals who are now fingered in the Tshabangu debacle.
    3. Weeks before elections, I warned that participating in a would-be flawed election, that was going to be nothing other than legitimizing the election outcome and subsequently the government of Zanupf thereof.
    4. I also argued about how authentic the data collection from ZEC strategy by Freeman Chari, whom I jokingly called a comedian and conman?
    5. After elections, I penned and also recorded (audio) an advisory and warning article that no solution on the disputed elections of August 2023 should be expected from the regional bloc, the SADC.
The article was or is titled "The SADC Power, Code of Conduct and Respect of the Memeber States Sovereignty.

These five predictions or warnings or articles , whichever way you may call them, they attracted the wanted and unwanted attention as in other groups, I was given a new name called Murakashi. However, the really varakashi were busy drilling holes in the CCC party from within until they accomplished their mission, and it was too late to lock the stable after horses have been stolen.
I partially became an adversary of those few myopic minded opposition supporters who didn't want to hear what they ought to hear but what they wanted to hear.

I remember one young man, name reserved, who responded to what I used to say; that many ppl in this politics business have nothing to do with our lives instead they are looking for employment. He, in his audio said, "VaPotera mairevesa, vanhu ava vaingoti vhara asi ivo vachida basa".

Unfortunately, this time around, even those who had found their way to be political job winners were recalled from councils and parliament by one of their own.

    E & OE

    I thank you.”

The truth is there is a mountain of evidence to show that MDC/CC leaders are corrupt and incompetent , the very fact that there are still millions of Zimbabweans who continue to truth Chamisa and company only shows the country’s underlying problem of the ignorant and naive electorate. As long as millions of Zimbabweans remain ignorant, so ignorant they believed such nonsensical lies as Chamisa plugging all vote rigging loop holes, the country will never get the reforms implemented and have a competent government. Never!

SA ask SADC Summit to be moved from Harare citing human rights abuses by Zanu PF. This is the most significant sign that Zanu PF has lost ANC's unconditional support since ANC lost its absolute majority in the 29 May 2024 SA elections, the first after 30 years!

Even if the summit is not moved; the call alone has more than forced Mnangagwa to eat humble pie, he is fatally wounded. He may rig Zimbabwe's 2028 elections and even get his MDC/CCC side kicks to participate, as usual, that will NOT guarantee political legitimacy. Not this time!
