“The entire budget is anti-people in the extreme.” We know that, tell us why CCC is hell bent on perpetuating our suffering! W Mukori

Zimbabwe’s main opposition parties are corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless.

Zimbabwe is a failed state, 43 years and counting of Zanu PF corrupt and tyrannical rule has left the country in total economic ruins and 49% of the population are living in abject poverty. And, not surprisingly, the nation are desperate for change.

As far back as the late 1990s, the people of Zimbabwe came to the conclusion that as long as Zanu PF remains in power the economic and political changes the nation was dying for would never happen. Never! and so if the nation was ever to see an end to the corruption and tyranny the nation will need to implement democratic reforms designed to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections.

These last 23 years the people of Zimbabwe have risked livelihoods, life and limb to elect MDC/CCC leaders into power for the express purpose they would implement the necessary democratic changes, reforms, to stop Zanu PF rigging elections. After 23 years on the political stage, including 5 years in the GNU, they have not implemented even one token reform. Not even one reform!

Worse still, since the GNU debacle MDC/CCC leaders have been participating in flawed elections, knowing fully well they are flawed and that participating will give Zanu PF legitimacy. Still they have been hell bent on participating because they also knew that Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate no matter how flawed the process got. Chamisa and company found the bait irresistible.

Indeed, it was for the same reasons, greed and breath-taking incompetence, that MDC leaders failed to implement even one reform during the GNU, when the nation had its best chance ever to implement reforms and dismantle the Zanu PF dictatorship once and once for all.

Instead of the MDC/CCC leaders apologising to the nation for their treasonous betrayal on reform and walk into the political sunset they have taken it upon themselves to remind us how evil Zanu PF is and, more pointedly how much we, the people are suffering.

“Whether Mr Mutsvangwa likes it or not, Zimbabweans are experts on how Govt’s failed economic policies have caused mass poverty, hyperinflation and national suffering,” wrote the socialite MP Fadzai Mahere.

“It’s not rocket science. People feel the economic destruction in their pockets.

“Everything has been made worse by the recent anti-people Budget announcement by @MthuliNcube. We have a scavenging Treasury that’s imposing punitive taxes and usurious basic service fees on a population where one in two people lives in extreme poverty.

“The entire budget is anti-people in the extreme.”

The people of Zimbabwe must wake up to the political reality that CCC leaders have long since to be the instruments of change by stopping Zanu PF rigging elections, the primary purpose the nation elected then to do. Since the GNU they are the ones helping Zanu PF stay in power. CCC leaders have proven beyond all out that they are corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless. And to add insult to injury they now insist on reminding us, the people, of how miserable we are but will never ever admit their role in keeping Zanu PF in power and thus perpetuating our suffering.

“The entire budget is anti-people in the extreme.” Why are you telling us something we already know. Tell us why MDC/CCC have done nothing in 23 years, including 5 in the GNU, to end the Zanu PF dictatorship.

  1. The number one task MDC/CCC leaders were elected to perform was to implement the democratic reforms and stop Zanu PF rigging elections. Zanu PF rigged the August 2023 elections just as they did in 2018 going all the way back to 1980. CCC participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy again and again only to make a big song and dance about how Zanu PF is making people's lives miserable.

If Zimbabwe wants change then we need opposition leaders who will implement the reforms; focus on the important task on hand!

  3. If you are so sure of yourself then why are you not telling us what reforms MDC/CCC have implemented in 23 years and prove me wrong! Anyone more so the village idiot, can dismiss anything as rubbish; the village idiot will never say why it is rubbish. Never!

Zimbabwe is a failed state already the insanity here is the failure to see it by participating in elections so flawed the winner was never in doubt. You participated only to give Zanu PF legitimacy and because Chamisa told you he had plugged all the vote rigging holes and you were stupid enough to believe him.

Zimbabwe is in a mess because we have become a nation comfortable with going with the herd and stopped thinking for ourselves. After decades of burying your head in some one else's backside you cannot break the dirty habit!

Zimbabwe is a failed state and we are not getting out of this hell by continuing to bury our heads in corrupt and incompetent leaders like Chamisa but by having an honest debate on what has gone wrong. All you are doing is stifling the debate with your idiotic remarks because you cannot bear to hear the truth said about Chamisa.

One of the benefits in being a simpleton is that you can say stupid things. I have called for the implementation of the democratic reforms so that we have free, fair and credible elections. My beef with CCC is that they sold out on reforms and failed to implement even one token reform in 23 years.

Since when has Zanu PF ever wanted the reforms and free elections? There is a chasm between what I stand for and what Zanu PF stand for but clearly not to a simpleton. I am a Zanu PF supporter as far as you are concerned.

It is easier for a simpleton to lump all those who dare hold Chamisa and CCC to account as Zanu PF supporters. After all you do have the intellectual capacity to comprehend the difference. Yours is a simple world of Chamisa good and everyone else bad; in a world full of all the colours of the rainbow all you see is monochrome, black or white!

Zimbabwe is a failed state and, with so many simpletons, it is clear why. The challenge is to force all these morons to open their eyes or the nation is doomed!

“With all due respect to you, am now convinced ua or were in the same class w @~Benji at some Zanu brainwashing schools🤞🏽. Just like him who speaks on subject only of MDC/CCC, whenever u write something e probability is 100% it's about MDC/CCC participating in flawed elections n failure to implement reforms during the GNU. In fact u might be @~Benji using +44 number.”

Zimbabwe is a failed state and as long as Zanu PF is allowed to rig elections nothing will change. The number one task therefore is to implement the democratic reforms and end this curse of rigged elections.

The first question to be asked is who or what has stopped the nation implementing these reforms these last 23 years? Answer: MDC/CCC leaders who have not only sold out by failing to implement even one reform even when they had the golden opportunity to do so during the 2008 to 2013 GNU but have since been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy.

So if I am talking about ending the failed state, I will talk about implementing reforms and about replacing CCC sell out with competent individual who will implement reform.

You have never said my analysis of the problem and way ford are wrong. All you ever talk about is that Chamisa must not be held to account. As far as you are concerned Chamisa is an infallible demigod who cannot be questioned by mere mortals. Of course, this is nonsense and village idiots like you are the reason why buffoons on both sides of the political divide are in power today.

I would like to spend 100% of my time talking about getting the reforms implemented but realise that this will be easier said than done because replacing the CCC sell outs will not be easy as long as there is the braindead wildebeest herd supporting Chamisa and company. And so I have to spend a lot of time confronting village idiots like you who are defending the indefensible.

“The opposition must reform itself first b4 trying to advocate for reforms elsewhere. How cn we clamour for democracy yet we ourselves fall far short of those we extort. Let’s remove the log in our eye first so we can better see the speck in our brothers' eye.”

CCC leaders have proven to be corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent they cannot uplift themselves to become the competent and accountable leaders no more than Zanu PF thugs can reform themselves out of office. The motivation for them to change is not there since both CCC and Zanu PF are benefiting from the status quo.

After GNU Zanu PF retained its carte blanche dictatorial powers including the power to rig elections. MDC leaders enjoyed the benefits of the gravy train throughout the GNU and they forced Zanu PF to accept the need to give away a few gravy train seats, their reward for participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. Both parties are happy withe the status quo, they will fight over who gets what but are united is resisting fully blooded reforms because each side knows they will lose more than they will gain.

It is the people themselves who need to accept the reality the present system has failed to produce a free, just and democratic system of government they have been dying for. If the people have any common sense they would also know asking Zanu PF and/or CCC to reform the failed system is a waste of time. Zimbabwe’s present political system is a sewage pond, you will never have quality leaders no more than you will have quality fish in a sewage pond!

  7. “Haaa uyu nenyaya dzake dzema reforms nxaaa.”

Zimbabwe is a failed state and we are going nowhere until we implement the reforms. It is a pity that even now, with the benefit of hindsight, we have people who are still hell bent on participating in flawed elections. They still expect CCC to win big even after 43 years of Zanu PF mafiosi rigging the elections.

Albert Einstein said insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. In Zimbabwe insanity is not only common, the insane rule the roost and they are aggressive. You cannot reason with some one who is insane!

I am obsessed about implementing reforms and demand CCC to account for selling out on reforms. You clearly think reforms are not important; please tell us what is the way out of this mess?

“We have fought the good fight and we are still fighting it. Ours is a struggle to change the concrete realities of every Zimbabwean. My heart bleeds when I see Zimbabwe women with infants begging for money pama Roberts in Joburg. You people are heartless that you support Zanu-PF perpetuating the suffering of Zimbabweans. To the extent of supporting the murder of those fighting to save Zimbabwe from Zanu-PF. We keep fighting hard ..”

MDC/CCC have been fighting to save Zimbabwe for 23 years, including 5 in the GNU. What is it exactly were these leaders elected to do? How much of it have thy accomplished? The devil is always in the detail.

I would say that the primary task MDC leaders were elected to do was to implement the democratic changes, reforms, designed to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections. As we know, Zanu PF rigged the August 2023 elections precisely because CCC leaders have failed to implement even one token reform in 23 years.

It is all very well to claim “We have fought the good fight and we are still fighting it!” Please name one reform you have implemented in 23 years!
