“Many measures have been put in place to fight corruption and
the people are now free to talk about it. Officials are being arrested and
before that was taboo. Now we’re talking about it, it means it’s being solved,”
said Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Dr Sibusiso Moyo.
Minister Moyo please do not insult our intelligence! Mugabe
admitted the country was being “swindled out of US$15 billion in diamonds
alone!” He never arrested one diamond swindler or/and recover one dollar of the
swindled fortune. Mnangagwa has been in power for nearly three years, he too
has not arrest one swindler and/or recover one dollar.
We all know that the Army, the Police, CIO, Mugabe, Mnangagwa
and a few other institutions and individuals have/had diamond mining
concessions. We all know of “Churu chaMujuru” (Mujuru’s anthill!) and the US$ 32 million loot amass by former Police
Commissioner, Augustine Chihuri was from the Police’s diamond mining
activities.
You, Minister Moyo and VP Chiwenga, as senior Army Officers you
received your share of the Army’s diamond mining activities which you have used
to build your mansions and to buy other properties and business interests. Mugabe
and Mnangagwa too have amassed their fortunes from the wholesale looting still taking
place to this day.
Yes, Mnangagwa has arrested a few individuals for corruption but
these are the small fish mostly. The real big fish responsible for the looting
of the big fortunes will never be arrested. You Minister Moyo, VP Chiwenga and
Mnangagwa himself are the godfathers of corruption.
No godfather of corruption will dare arrest another godfather. No
matter how angry a cobra gets, it will never ever bite another cobra because it
knows before the other’s dying wish will be to die with its fangs buried in
opponent!
The people know to stamp out the gross mismanagement, the rampant
corruption and the lawlessness which earned Zimbabwe the pariah state status,
destroyed the economy and driven the investors and donors away; we must end the
curse of rigged elections and bad governance. And to do that we must first
implement the democratic reforms necessary to stop Zanu PF rigging the
elections.
“This is President Mnangagwa’s election pledge card, he pledged
to fulfil the fight against corruption by 2023. He asked to be measured with
regards to fighting corruption by the people ahead of 2023 elections, it’s his
pledge card and he is serious about fighting this scourge that is eroding the
economic fibre,” continued Dr Moyo.
Mnangagwa rigged the July 2018 elections; ZEC failed to produce
something as basic as a verified voters’ roll. Unless we implement the
democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging, the party will rig the 2023
elections, guaranteed.
Since we cannot trust Zanu PF to implement the reforms we must
exert all pressure to force Zanu PF to step down so we can appoint an interim administration
to implement the reforms.
This Zanu PF regime have no democratic mandate to govern. It is illegitimate
and is holding the nation hostage! Enough is bloody enough!
Ever since the day Sibusiso Moyo bust into our lives in the small hours of 15 November 2017 to announce he and his fellow coup plotters has seized power and Mugabe was under house arrest; he has left an indelible image of a brain dead idiot wielding a large stick. Naturally, everyone in the room is paying very close attention to the idiot, fearful of what he might do with the stick. And the idiot thinks they are paying attention to his wittering because it is wisdom.
ReplyDelete“We wish to make it abundantly clear that this is not a military takeover,” the then Major General Sibusiso Busi Moyo announced of ZBC TV. “We are only targeting criminals around him who are committing crimes that are causing social and economic suffering in the country.”
Moyo was so puffed up, not even an extra coat of make-up paint could hide the pimples in his face. The overwhelming sense of achievement and excitement at the prospects to follow, Ministerial job and God know what next, had resulted in his body releasing so much testosterone (instead of adrenaline) the tissue went into overdrive teenage phase!
Of course, this was a military coup and Moyo and company knew that. They agreed to call it a military assisted transition to con everybody else. What matters is they actually believed they would con everybody and to Sibusiso Moyo was to be the man to make the momentous announcement.
This was Sibusiso Busi Moyo’s Neil Armstrong "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind!" moment.
As it turned out the world had had enough of the corrupt, incompetent and murderous tyrant Robert Mugabe and his foolish anti-west shadow boxing pantomimes. Everyone detest military coups but in this case everybody turned a blind eye; that is how much they loathed the tyrant and wanted to go.
Frankly, no one, absolutely one, was fooled into believing this was anything but a military coup. They just laughed at all the theatricals. They were surprise that the buffoon with the teenage pimples rash was to be Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
The announcement of Mnangagwa’s pledge is just another one of this regime’s foolish theatricals and he chose the right buffoon to announce it!
"This is President Mnangagwa's election pledge card, he pledged to fulfil the fight against corruption by 2023. He asked to be measured with regards to fighting corruption by the people ahead of 2023 elections, it's his pledge card and he is serious about fighting this scourge that is eroding the economic fibre," announce Minister Moyo.
What a bunch of idiots! Mnangagwa was a senior member of the Mugabe governments for 34 years and only now admits the regime had done nothing to end corruption – and blames it all on Mugabe. We are expected to believe that!
He himself has certain done nothing too to end the wholesale looting in Marange and Chiadzwa and we are to believe he will finally do it, it is his pledge, before the 2023 elections.
Meanwhile we must forget these demands for him to step down so the country can implement the reforms and have free, fair and credible elections. Forget, if he steps down, he will not be able to honour his pledge and so the wholesale looting will continue past the 2023 elections!
A moot point, if he remains in office till the 2023 elections, Zanu PF is certain to rig the elections and so even if he failed to honour his pledge to end corruption, as he has done with many other pledges these last 40 years, there is nothing the people can do about it. He will rig elections and make more pledges.
I total agree that these Zanu PF buffoon think they are smart and they are fooling the nation. They are ruthless thugs but they are brain dead and I totally agree that it is high time some one told these buffoon that they are indeed village idiots! They have usurped the people's power and are now holding the nation to ransom.

ReplyDeleteI was brought up by very pious parents and so for it was five minutes of Christian value drilling for every spoonful of porridge. I ready confess most of the religious teaching has worn off but there are still bit and pieces still there – no doubt drilled into the marrow of my bones!
“Whenever the evil ones close the door to imprison those who fear God. The Lord will open a window for them to escape!” my late mother would say.
There is no denying that ever since Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF thugs got into power in 1980 they have done two things with undying passion consolidate their power by riding roughshod over the people, denying them their freedom, rights, hopes and even their humanity! If they are not oppressing the people, then they are robbing the nation blind!
The 2008 to 2013 GNU was that moment in Zimbabwe’s history when one can say the Lord had not just opened the window for us to escape but had given us the “get out of jail card!” We are still stuck in this Zanu PF pariah state because Morgan Tsvangirai and company failed to implement even one democratic reform in five years.
Mugabe bribed them with the trapping of high office, the ministerial limos, the very generous salaries, allowance complete with regular overseas trips, a US$4 million mansion for Tsvangirai himself, etc., etc. In return “Save”, as his followers would call Tsvangirai, and company throw reforms out of the window.
Of course, MDC leaders sold-out and I am sick to the back teeth of the feeble excuses why they failed to implement the reforms.
“Robert Mugabe repeatedly refused to implement reforms during the GNU,” you say. I challenge you to name just one occasion he did that!
“Take stock of the political violence in Zimbabwe, gukurahundi, murambatsvina, …. Tsvangirai even lost his wife!” you argue. I do not deny the seriousness of all these events but none of these events stopped MDC implementing the reforms. If anything, the memory of just how oppressive Mugabe is should have fired up Tsvangirai to implement the reforms.
When you have the get out of jail card it is foolish not to use and then complain of how thick the jail walls are, the razor-wire fence, etc., etc. Mugabe saw to it that Tsvangirai and company had all their hearts’ desires especially Tsvangirai’s amorous desires, they did not want to get out of jail!
The consequences of MDC’s betrayal is allowing Zanu PF thugs to return to power and carry on with the oppression and looting from where they left off in 2008! And we can see the economic ruins and the tragic human suffering and deaths 40 years of Zanu PF misrule has caused.
I am not going to falsify the historic facts and why Zimbabwe is in this mess just to message MDC leaders’ misplaced egos! I speak the truth as I see it!

ReplyDeleteVery interesting indeed.
One of the worst things Zanu PF has bequethed the nation was denying the people freedom of expression and a free and robust media. Zimbabweans must now find their voices, express themselves and think freely.
Nurses at St Alberts Mission Hospital, Mt Darwin, were reportedly threatened by Zanu-PF youths and State spy agents after notifying the district medical officer Kelvin Mupunga last week of their intention to down tools starting yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThe nurses had, through the Muzarabani/centenary District Health Workers Union told Mupunga in a letter on Friday that they shared similar grievances with fellow nurses from public hospitals who had joined the nationwide strike.
Zimbabwe's economic meltdown cannot be sorted without first solving the problem of good governance!
To a tyrant like Mnangagwa; Zimbabweans to demand free, fair and credible elections is daring to think the unthinkable. As far as he is concerned the ordinary people must never have a meaningful say in the governance of the country. It is for him and his fellow ruling elite alone to define the destiny the nation. The truth is this is utter nonsense and must be rejected.
ReplyDeleteThe next elections must be free, fair and credible and there is to be no compromise on that. To trade the right to free, fair and credible elections in return for a pledge to end corruption is trade something useful for something harmful.
