How many rural dwellers spend US$1 per day let alone US$12? Vision 2030 is a mirage Minister Mthuli Ncube knows that better than anybody else.
The fight for land before independence was the fight for economic and political empowerment. It is heart breaking that 46 years after independence 60% of our power continue to be denied title deeds to even one acre of land.

This is just bulls***t! Over 60% of Zimbabweans leave in the rural areas and it is this Zanu PF regime has stubbornly refused to give these people title deeds to even one acre of land on which their mud hut stands.
Ian Smith denied rural folk title deeds for fear the economic empowerment would embolden the the blacks to demand political empowerment next. He did not want to give blacks the vote. Zanu PF has denied rural povo title deeds for the same selfish political reasons.
Zanu PF could not deny the rural blacks the vote, it was not practical. The party has denied povo title deed, economic empowerment, to keep them poor and politically powerless. The regime can frog match serfs to attend party rallies and to vote for the party not so with an economical independent individual!

It is a great pity that many people have become obsessed about the party's name when they should focus on how VVZ will help dig the nation out of the hell-hole Zanu PF, with the connivence of the MDC/CCC sellouts, have landed us into. The name of the party is a trivial matter focus on what really matter.
How will VVZ help scrap Zanu PF's obnoxious CAB3, for example?

ReplyDeleteIf the Super El Nino of November 2026 happen, Zimbabwe will be amongst the countries facing starvation. Our situation will be that much harder to swallow because would have started the drought with very little grain in our silos - for a nation that used to be the bread basket of the region.
No doubt Mnangagwa will give El Nino as the excuse for failing to deliver vision 2030 and never admit vision 2030 was a mirage even if El Nino had not happened nor admit the nation's silos were nearly empty. He use vision 2030 as the excuse for imposing CAB3, an obnoxious law extending his stay in office and giving the regime even more dictatorial powers.
Zimbabwe is a failed state and will remain a failed state until we cure ourselves of the curse of rigged elections and bad governance. CAB3 will only drag us even deeper into the abyss!

ReplyDelete“Why does society keep putting fools, clowns and incompetent leaders in power?" Aristotle asked. And he learned from observation that rarely choose the wisest leaders. not because they do not want wisdom. But because wisdom is quiet and society only listens to the loud.
Solution: people must be educated so that they are knowledgeable, objective. The right to elect leaders was granted to those who were educated, knowledgeable and objective and could be trusted to carry out the sacred duty of diligently holding the leaders to account.
Zimbabwe is a failed state because we are a nation that listens to noise. Millions of our people have been conned to participate in flawed elections to give vote rigging Zanu PF thugs legitimacy and perpetuate the nation's suffering because they believed idiotic lies time and time again! We have learned nothing from 46 years of rigged elections nor from 2 500 years of human history! Of course, we deserve to suffer!

Are the urban poor much less the millions rural povo getting any bankable title deeds to even one acre of land so that they can build a decent house for themselves? NO!
The Land Tenure Policy is giving bankable title deeds to the ruling elite and the cronies who own 100s of acres of land, some like Bona Mugabe have farms with total acreage the size of Lesotho! COZWVA are praising the policy because Zanu PF has recently announced war veterans too will get title deeds - the overwhelming majority of those in the rural areas have no title deeds.
What is infuriating here is that the fight for blacks to OWN land was central to the fight for independence. The whites denied rural blacks title deeds to even one acre of land for selfish economic and political reasons and 46 years after independence Zanu PF continues to deny millions title deeds to even one acre of land for the same selfish reasons! And groups like COZWVA are pretend everything is fine because their hopes to own property have been promised. FM!
