@ YW4ED
The ancient Greeks were right, democracy - government of the people, by the people and for the people - only works if the said people are diligent in holding the leaders to account, their sacred duty. The Greeks realised that for the people to be trusted to carry out this duty they must be educated, knowledgeable and objective.
The Greeks granted right to vote to only those who would diligently hold leaders to account - that is not negotiable.
Giving the vote to people with the personality cult mentality is the very antithesis of whom the ancient Greeks' diligent voters. In Boxer, the horse, George Orwell paints a portray of one with a personality cult mentality. Boxer adopts "Napoleon is always right!" as his personal motto. The sacred duty of diligently holding the leaders account is out of the window.
In Zimbabwe VaPositori4ED, Young Women4ED, etc., have all shown this personality cult mentality. The Zanu PF regime has encouraged this by bankrolling the activities of these groups. And the groups have in turn promoted the glory of ED at the expense of the good of Zimbabwe.
“Your Excellency, we remain a proud affiliate of ZANU PF and committed to contributing to the country’s development agenda. We have established Mukando Clubs across all provinces, creating platforms for savings, investment, empowerment and economic participation.
We sincerely appreciate the support of the ZANU PF Women’s League and the partnerships that have enabled communities and young women to benefit from our empowerment programs, including access to houses, vehicles and other economic opportunities.
We also extend our profound gratitude to our Patron and First Lady, Amai Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa for her continued leadership and advocacy for the empowerment and prosperity of women and young people.
Your Excellency, YW4ED fully supported Constitutional Amendment Bill No.3 recognising its importance in creating a longer and more coherent development cycle for Zimbabwe.
Our country continues to transform under your leadership. Zimbabwe is becoming increasingly beautiful and prosperous because of your vision, leadership and commitment to national development.”
Here we go! Only some one with the personality cult mentality would fail to see that CAB3 is consolidating Mnangagwa and Zanu PF’s dictatorial powers at the expense of good governance.
Zambian government of President Hakainde #Hichilema finally charges his main political rival and opposition leader, Brian #Mundubile and his running mate, Makebi Zulu, with treason. Both remain detained at Lusaka Central Police Station.
ReplyDeleteMundubile and Zulu had gone into hiding at the United Nations in Lusaka until Thursday when they were handed over to police.
Hakainde's government has accused Mundubile of being connected to the alleged plot after he was reportedly found at the scene where authorities said “high-grade military weapons,” ammunition and other materials allegedly intended for an armed insurrection were seized.
It was at this scene, the Lusaka residence of President Hichilema’s political rival, Brian #Mundubile, that #Zambia’s security forces reportedly shot and killed former Minister Mutotwe Kafwaya during a shootout.
Mundubile has denied the allegations.
The treason charges now revive memories of President Hichilema’s own turbulent history with Zambia’s treason laws.
He spent more than three months in a high-security prison after being arrested and charged with treason during a political confrontation with then-President Edgar Lungu.
Hichilema was, at the time, the country’s leading opposition figure and a direct political challenger to Lungu.
Now, as President, Hichilema’s government is pursuing treason against another opposition figure under the same treason laws that once threatened Hichilema’s own political future.
The circumstances and allegations are not identical, but the political parallel is striking!
The irony is hard to miss.
Would the UN have released the two to the Police if they knew these were tramped up charges?

The Young Women 4ED (YW4ED) have put up a show. No expenses spared. The generous funding coming from Presidential Empowerment Fund, directly or indirectly.
Mnangagwa, in his X handle would have us believe the ED stands for Economic Development and the young women are getting all this generous funding because they are "leaders grounded in deep patriotism and a heart for servant leadership". Bulls***t!
YW4ED leader admitted the group is "a proud affiliate of ZANU PF and supported CAB3". Cab3 has extended Mnangagwa's stay in office by a further 2 years and consolidated Zanu PF's dictatorial powers.
Zimbabwe is a failed state precisely because the nation has been stuck with this corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship for 46 years and counting. CAB3 is giving the regime even great dictatorial powers and thus dragging the nation even deeper into the abyss. How anyone can pretend this will bring ED (Economic Development) beggars believe.
YW4ED is one of the many groups who are well funded because they are committed to promote policies such as CAB3 glorifying Emerson Dambudzo (ED) Mnangagwa at the expense of the good of Zimbabwe!
@ NewsDay
ReplyDeleteMoney laundering cost Zimbabwe US$6.5 b in five years!
Vision 2030 is a mirage! No nation has ever prospered with so much criminal waste of resources!
It is important to underline that it is not only Mnangagwa who term in office is being extended here. MPs and senators too are extending their terns in office from 5 years to 7 years!
ReplyDeleteTwo, this is the third coup Mnangagwa is involved in the first one being the 2008 electoral coup and second 2017 military coup. He was never held to account for the first two and must not be allowed to get away again this time!
@ D Coltart
ReplyDeleteColtart wittering and shedding buckets of crocodile tearsover fire engine corruption.
We must never forget that Coltart was himself an MDC minister and the MDC sold out by failing to implement even one reform during the GNU. And ever since the GNU debacle these MDC/CCC leaders have participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuate the dictatorship out of greed. And to crown it all Coltart & co. know it.
“The worst aspect for me about the failure to agree a coalition was that both MDCs couldn’t now do the obvious - withdraw from the (2013) elections. The electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
The real tragedy in Zimbabwe is that Coltart & co. are Zanu PF team B in all but name, playing for team A to win, to have legitimacy and thus perpetuating the masses’ suffering for a share of the spoils of power. Meanwhile the suffering masses continue to trust and blindly follow these MDC/CCC impressed with their public condemnation of Zanu PF corruption and buckets of crocodile tears shed!
Why millions of Zimbabweans are so ignorant, naive and gullible that they readily believe idiots lies and conned again and again to do stupid things is the nation’s worst curse!
@ War veteran
ReplyDelete"Giving war veterans bicycles is an insult!"
Vision 2030 is a mirage and even the die hard war veterans are forced to admit it.
CAB3 was passed under the pretext Mnangagwa needs 2 more years to delivery vision 2030. Many are forced to admit vision 2030 is a mirage. So what of CAB3? JUST ANOTHER LIE!!!!
@ General M
ReplyDeleteYou are tired of hearing the truth about MDC/CCC and how they sold out! The truth must be said from the hill top and will not be silenced by an idiot like you!
"You're an idiot Wilbert."
DeleteIf you are a man of intellect and wisdom, then I will be rightly chasticised. On the other hand if you are the idiot masquerading as wiser than king Solomon himself; then your chastisising means nothing. Which is which?
I find it hard to believe that anyone with any common sense much less with the wisdom of the legendary King Solomon would agonise endless over a simple matter like did Chamisa lie about plugging all voting rigging loop holes to con millions to participate in flawed elections to perpetuate the nation's suffering.
Which is which? The answer here is clear as day! Only an idiot would deny Chamisa is a liar and a conman!
"Wilbert you started by insulting me calling me an idiot, I just return your insults back to yourself. I asked you some few weeks ago when Chamisa was in UK were you stay that Chamisa said everyone who has questions or any queries come and ask and you failed to attend those meetings, you only continue attacking blaming with tired narratives you were suppose to go and face man himself ask whatever query you have with him which is not fair at all. Let's be realistic sometimes."
DeleteWhen Chamisa & co. sold out on reforms and lied and conned millions to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and a share of the spoils of power. The sell out, lying and conning was done in public and the whole nation has paid dearly for it.
Chamisa & co. carried out these brazen acts of betrayals in public. Democracy demands that those in public office must be accountable to the people, to the nation. And you want to change all that and made democratic accountability a private affair - Chamisa will only account for the selling out, etc. in private!
Chamisa & co.are democratically accountable to the people of Zimbabwe and not just to a few select individuals - that is not negotiable!
Democratic accountability is NOT negotiable, it never is! Only idiots would think otherwise!
You are an idiot and you have proven this beyond all doubt by insisting Chamisa & co. are NOT accountable to the people! I did not insult you, I only held a mirror so you could see yourself for the idiot you are!
"An idiot like you Wilbert will continue talking nonsense none existing narratives.
DeleteI still insisting that you was given enough opportunity to question Chamisa openly at his meetings at your doorstep in UK were you stay. Chamisa invited everyone at his meetings to air your views openly confront him openly without any discrimination or insulted, yourself and even Hopewell Chin'ono same basket you both failed to attend Chamisa's meetings.
He was ready to hear your concerns but you were nowhere to be found. Now who do you want to fool here if I may ask?
As people of Zimbabwe we always say since you claim that opposition leaders failed and lied to the people that they will win and they closed all loopholes of rigging elections it's your turn now to correct.
What you say Chamisa and others failed to do than just attacking people while you're in UK doing nothing which can help us here to be free from the dictatorship of Zanu pf.
What you're doing Wilbert I call it a double standard attacking to our leaders in the name of accountability. Come on the ground do exactly what you expect opposition do.
Brett has formed his political party and people are now deciding what's good for themselves and also I urge you to do something which is different from what Chamisa and others are doing.
People will judge you at the end. Attacking and blaming others while you are sitting there in UK doing nothing for us that is nonsensical.
I am here in Zimbabwe I am facing every day problems which was created by the regime and you are not here in Zimbabwe you're busy attacking our leaders everyday, probably you're enabler of the regime in Harare somehow. Come join us on the ground if you're serious for change in Zimbabwe.
Don't be a big idiot Wilbert.”
“I am here in Zimbabwe I am facing every day problems which was created by the regime!” Here we go! So your being in Zimbabwe is a virtue, panacea to all the nation’s problems. And yet the nation has continued to sink deeper and deeper into the abyss!
So you think stifling democratic accountability is helping end Zimbabwe's curse of rigged elections and bad governance?
Chamisa & co. are democratically accountable to the people of Zimbabwe - that is not negotiable!
The fact that even simple realities like leaders must be accountable to the people is incomprehensible to a simpleton like you is no surprise. The real tragedy for for Zimbabwe is that there are millions of idiots like you and, to crown it all, we have given them a voice and a vote.
Zimbabwe is a failed state and the millions of village idiots have played their part in this. For it is them, in their infantile stupidity, who have elevated both Zanu PF and MDC/CCC leaders to positions of demigods who are not accountable to the people.
@ John Munetsi Jemwa
ReplyDelete"Target achieved. The old lady now has a brand new mobility gadget. We took her out for a walk."
Well done!
The tragedy for Zimbabwe is there are so many people living in abject poverty because of our failed political system. And as long as the corrupt, incompetent and tyrannical Zanu PF thugs plus their equally corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless MDC/CCC side kick remain in power the suffering will only get worse!
Charity will alleviate the suffering of the few, any insignificant few in the ever growing multitude! The solution is not increased charity but to end the curse of rigged elections and bad governance!
Mnangagwa shows off his fleet of armoured vehicles.
ReplyDeleteFM! No wonder we are a failed state and why Mnangagwa is trying every trick in the book to stay in power at all costs!
@ Mugwagwa
ReplyDelete"Musazoti vanhu vari kufavour Brett Muvett because tiri kuona zvaari kuita politically but imi mukabvunzwa you would rather insult!"
If you are being naive telling you so is not insulting you!
What makes you sure I will not vote for Brett myself?

ReplyDeleteThe nightmare of the regime demolishing houses in urban areas and rural areas is politically motivated. Zanu PF is stubbornly refusing to give ordinary Zimbabweans title deeds to even one acre of land to build their homes. This is a carry over policy from the white colonial days.
The right to own property, land, is a fundamental right. The right to own land was at the heart of the fight to end white colonial rule.
The question this nation must answer is How long are we going to allow the madness of holding the nation to ransom for selfish political gain to continue?
@ Isaac Makomichi
ReplyDelete"Pace ye development iri kufamba naPresident Mnangagwa, patinosvika 2030 Zimbabwe inenge yatodarika Dubai."
There are many reasons why Zimbabwe is a failed state. One of the top ten reasons is that we have a whole brigade of intellectuals who are willingly selling their own mothers to please the dictator and his cronies and they are proud they have a mother to sell. Isaac Makomichi is one of those sellout nincompoops.
The signs are that Zimbabwe is sinking deeper and deeper into the economic abyss and yet he is painting a rosy picture to please the dictatorship.

ReplyDeleteMnangagwa is a megalomania and schizophrenia who would betray even those close to him to save his own skin. There are many stories to prove this and the 2004 Tsholotsho debacle is one such story. He was going to be the chief beneficiary of the plot and yet denied being involved and throw others like Professor Jonathan Moyo under the bus.
If the 2017 military coup had failed he would have thrown Chiwenga and other under the bus too. It succeeded and he entered State House on the coattail of the coup. He still managed to betray Chiwenga and the other coup plotters and, in due course, to betray the nation too.
Here is how Mnangagwa can be booted out of State House!
