If VP Chiwenga should finally become President it would be by right of conquest and not “by direct popular vote”, as Mapuranga insists. Wilbert Mukori

“General Constantino Chiwenga is the next President of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Not maybe. Not possibly. Not if circumstances permit. Not subject to amendment bills, parliamentary arithmetic, or the preferences of commercial networks that have confused their bank balances with political permanence.” wrote Lieutenant General Winston Sigauke Mapuranga in Bulawayo 24.

“And let me be equally clear about the timeline. 2028. Elections. As scheduled.

“As constitutionally mandated. As the people of Zimbabwe are entitled to.”

What a truck load of bulls****t!

“What kind of leaders would an armed struggle throw up?” Mahatma Gandhi and his fellow Indian nationalist asked themselves when they too were presented with the choice os whether to continue with the passive resistance in the fight to end British colonial rule of India.

This was not an abstract and rhetorical question but one grounded on reality.

Alas! Zimbabwe has given the whole world the worst case scenario text book answer to the rhetoric question “What kind of leaders would an armed struggle throw up?”

“A year on from the coup that ousted Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe remains perched between piecemeal reform and old ways that are as intractable as they are destructive. That’s because the country is ruled by a clique with a partial and conditional commitment to change—and a total, obdurate determination to retain and enjoy power,” wrote Stuart Duran in ASPI Strategist.

“The ‘new’ regime can be viewed from different angles, but the nub of it is this: there’s a recognition that the economic fiasco of the last 20 years was suboptimal, but Emmerson Mnangagwa and his fellow travellers will burn the house down if they feel it necessary. Make no mistake, their will to power is every bit as intense as Mugabe’s—as is their belief that they own the country’s choicest fruits by right of conquest.”

Lieutenant General Maporanga is right, “CAB3 is not a development instrument. It is not a continuity agenda. It is not about Vision 2030 or boreholes or solar panels or hospital refurbishments worthy as some of those programmes are.CAB3 is a blocking mechanism.”

However he is being totally dishonest in saying the bill “has one primary political function to prevent General Constantino Chiwenga from ascending to the presidency through the direct popular vote that he would win.”

Zimbabwe has never ever held free, fair and credible elections. Never ever! And of all people, Mapuranga knows that.

The nearest the nation has ever got to holding free and fair elections was the March 2008 elections after SADC had piled the pressure on Zanu PF to carry out a number of electoral reform. When it was clear that Zanu PF was losing the elections it was none other than Mnangagwa and Chiwenga who launched Operation Mavhotera Papi to blatantly cheat in the vote count and use wanton violence in the presidential run-off. Were those the actions of some one who has ever believed in winning the “direct popular vote”?

Mnangagwa and Chiwenga were once again the masterminds behind the 2017 military coup that ousted the late dictator Robert Mugabe after 37 years of rigged elections. The primary purpose of the coup was not to end the curse of rigged elections born of leaders thrown up by the liberation war who believed they have the divine right to rule the nation. The coup was a Zanu PF factional war to settle who was to be the top dog, the dictatorship itself was to remain untouched.

Mnangagwa and Zanu PF did not win “direct popular vote” in 2018 or 2023; the elections were rigged. Chiwenga and Mapuranga know this!

Mnangagwa and Chiwenga fell out because the former was supposed to serve one five years term and then step aside. He is set to serve ten years and still refusing to step aside.

The primary purpose of CAB3, as far as Chiwenga and his supporters are concerned, is to engineer a mechanism to allow Mnangagwa to stay in power  two more years beyond 2028. The bill seeks to entrench Zanu PF’s dictatorial strangle hold on the nation and this appeals to many Zanu PF cronies which is why the bill has become so divisive within the party.

Whether CAB3 passes or not the ordinary Zimbabweans know that they will continue to be denied a meaningful say in the governance of the country. If Chiwenga and his cronies manage to stop CAB3 by hook or by coup, they will not risk losing power by holding free, fair and credible elections.

So if VP Chiwenga should ever become President it will be “by right of conquest,” as Stuart Duran would rightly say and not “by direct popular vote”, as Singauke Mapuranga would have us believe!

The factional war between Mnangagwa and Chiwenga has entered the "no-holds-barred" stage as the date of the decision on Constitutional amendment No.3 CAB3) draws near. Mnangagwa hold all the trump cards and is set to have his way. Chiwenga does not like it one bit and been threatening a military coup not as an option but rather as the only option!

Zimbabwe is a failed state because fir 46 years Zanu PF has been preoccupies fighting the opposition or amongst themselves for power. CAB3 is just the latest bone the Zanu PF dogs have been fight oner. Meanwhile the nation has sunk deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Web had many opportunities to end the Zanu PF dictatorship especially during the 2008 to 2013 GNU and we wasted them all. Let this be a lesson for us all!

"London-based political analyst Dr. David Nyekorach Matsanga has criticised Zimbabwe's opposition, accusing it of engaging in what he terms "malicious compliance" in its resistance to Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3).

In a letter addressed to British political figure Kate Hoey and other stakeholders, Matsanga argued that the opposition's approach to the proposed constitutional changes reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of constitutionalism.

He claimed that by opposing both the process and the procedure of the amendment, opposition actors were undermining their own legal and political position.

"If Zimbabwe opposition opposes both the process and procedure, then they create what is called ‘malicious compliance' in law," Matsanga said, framing the strategy as one that weakens legitimate constitutional objections.

CAB3, which has sparked intense debate in Zimbabwe, is widely viewed as a controversial proposal with significant political implications, including potential changes linked to the tenure of Emmerson Mnangagwa."

Matsanga may have a point, it is a pity that he has failed to define what is a process and what a procedure.

“You never see it fit to take a detour, revisit your contemplation, and shift that perennial Blame on the Architects of CAB3 ...

Same way still, throughout the years Mukori …”

You cannot accept the simple reality that Chamisa lied about plugging vote rigging loop holes to con millions to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the nation’s suffering. And you insist of the narrative that Chamisa did nothing wrong. Worse still, you are accusing all who dare cal Chamisa a liar of hating and blaming him for something he did not do!

The nation is in this mess because MDC/CCC leaders are Zanu PF team B in all but name - playing for team A to win and to have legitimacy. People like you continue to follow leaders like Chamisa blindly because you have personality cult mentality. It is you who need to change not me.

You cannot change because your brain has ossified into fat and thus impermeable to reason. You are the one holding the nation to ransom.

“Let it be known that Constantino Chiwenga is not upholding the constitution. Let it be known that he is not fighting for the people, but for his personal interests. The man who once led the military and enforced brutal suppression now poses as a champion of democracy.

In 2008, when war vets and the army pushed the "makavhotera papi" narrative, Chiwenga was army commander—where was his voice then? When Morgan Tsvangirai won the elections, Chiwenga stood silent as the will of the people was trampled. In 2018, he oversaw the brutal crackdown on protesters in Harare, staining the streets with blood.”

Chiwenga is against CAB3 for one reason and one reason only - that it seeks to extend Mnangagwa’s stay in office beyond 2028. He thinks that it is his turn to rule Zimbabwe and will rig the elections to secure the presidency just as he has rigged elections in the past to help Mugabe and then Mnangagwa to stay in power.

Chiwenga is NOT a democrat and does not care about free, fair and credible elections.

After 46 years of Zanu PF dictatorship the challenge is to end the dictatorship and not to be swapping one dictator for another. As much as the nation must fight to end the Mnangagwa dictatorship and stop this CAB3 if we can. We must also be careful not to fall into the trap of seeing Chiwenga as a solution.

Perpetuating the dictatorship is NOT the solution.

-There is no explanation Chiwenga can ever give to justify 2008 Operation Mavhotera Papi, for example. It was not a mistake! It was a deliberate and calculated move to punish the people in pursuit of the selfish agenda that Zanu PF has the divine right to rule Zimbabwe! Chiwenga and Mnangagwa should have gone to jail for what they did in 2008. The two are today occupying the highest offices in the land and the nation is paying dearly for it.

The only change we should be seeking is removing Mnangagwa, Chiwenga and potting an end to the Zanu PF dictatorship! After 46 years of rigged elections and bad governance any idea of swapping one dictator for another is insane!

Saviour Kasukuwere just threw a grenade into the ED2030 camp, and it has Mugabe’s fingerprints all over it.

Speaking this week, the exiled former ZANU PF Commissar reminded the 2030 lobby of a fact they want Zimbabwe to forget: “A Party Conference does not have the power to make a resolution that extends the President’s time in office.”

You really are getting desperate now to be listening to Kasukuwere. In a Court of law he is considered a discredited witness!

Kasukuwere cannot say to Mnangagwa “What You Want To Achieve in 2030, Do It Now.” with any authority given he was one of Mugabe’s senior ministers and the dictators stayed in power for 37 years.

Indeed Kasukuwere has played his part in the blatant vote rigging and wanton violence and cold blooded murder of opposition leaders and supporters to ensure Mugabe stayed in power. Can he tells what Mugabe achieved worthy of the human sacrifice?

You Makomichi has been fighting in Chiwenga’s corner, the man who has staged the 2017 military coup and played his part in rigging the 2018 and 2023 elections to help Mnangagwa stay in power. Chiwenga must tell us what did Mnangagwa achieve worthy of the coup and rigged elections?

And you, Makomichi, must tell us what you think Chiwenga will achieve as President that he failed to do these last 8 years as VP?

Many people are making the mistake of blaming the ordinary people for undermining their own political power power by backing this Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3). Ordinary Zimbabweans have made many mistakes but this bill is not one of those mistakes. Mnangagwa conjured this bill and is imposing it on the nation.

As far as this CAB3 is concerned povo are as hapless and helpless as a candle lite at both ends!

What we allow - we become! Mnangagwa has allowed corruption to become rampant. According to a 2023 Al Jazeera Gold Mafia documentary of Zimbabwe's US$2 billion per year gold mining industry 80%, US$1.6 b, was being smuggled. Mnangagwa was heavily involved, the Gold Mafia operatives fondly him "Number One" (tongue in the cheek, called VP Chiwenga a dunderhead). Mnangagwa has been getting his lion's share of the loot or so he thought.

Judging from how filthy rich these looters have become, they have more money than the Minister of Finance, unfortunately they are spending it all on bribes. The glory of Caesar trumps the good of Rome.

"Chinhu ichi ndakachibata kubvii!" (I am in total control!) boasted Wicknell Chivayo, one of the better known Zvigananda, over his relationship with Mnangagwa.

There was never any doubt that Zanu PF would rig the amendment bill process - it has done the same with elections! Yes Tendai Biti, the people of Zimbabwe had wanted the maximum term limit including in the 2013 Constitution out of frustration of failure to remove Mugabe from power after 33 years. Let us be very clear here - the nation had failed to remove Mugabe for 33 years BECAUSE ZANU PF RIGGED THE ELECTIONS AND NOT BECAUSE THERE WAS NO TERM LIMIT.

The A1 task of Tendai Biti and his MDC fiends during the 2008 to 2013 GNU was to implement the democratic reforms and draft a new constitution to stop ZANU PF RIGGING ELECTIONS AND NOT TO IMPOSE A MAXIMUM TERM LIMIT!

As it happened, Biti & co. failed to implement even one token reform and so Zanu PF retained all its vote rigging dictatorial power. The best term limit can deliver is a new Zanu PF dictator every 10 years. And that is all Tendai Biti is crowing about. Only an idiot would be pleased with that!

It is said Mugabe offered Chiwenga to take over rather than ED

    Chiwenga refused

This makes me think, we cannot really understand Chiwenga's strategic moves unless maybe if we are privy to his principles and views regarding statecraft

To me it seems Chiwenga has no absolute interest in power but wants to ensure who ever is leading acts in accordance with liberation legacy.”

Chiwenga was well advised to have refused Mugabe’s offer because was hard enough to sell the coup as “military assisted transition” with Mnangagwa, a civilian, as head of state. It would have been even harder if not impossible to it with a general as head of state.

My guess is Mugabe made that offer as a divide and rule tactic!

Mnangagwa offered to step aside to let Chiwenga in after serving one term, that change to after two terms and now it is after 2030. Poor Chiwenga, he was a fool to have trust Mnangagwa!

Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3) is on course to be approved. Frankly, this comes as no surprise. Zanu PF rigged the 2023 elections, a much more challenging prospect given elections are held under very stringent rules, and so rigging the amendment process was always going to be a walk in the park.

Many people accept that VP Chiwenga is just as corrupt, incompetent and a murderous thug as Mnangagwa and still they continue to support him because there is no other choice, they argue. What a feeble excuse. Their real problem here is the failure to distinguish a real choice from a false choice!

A mouse presented with the choice between a cobra or a black mamba will know this is a false choice because either snake will kill it. The mouse is smart enough to reject the false choice and, thinking outside the box. will choose escape, choose to live.

After 46 years of the failed political system, the smart choice is to forget the false choice of corrupt, incompetent murderous thugs and sell-outs the system is giving us and focus on cleaning up the system as the number priority.

We started in 1980 with a GPD per capita of US$6k, a bread basket of the region, with many companies and mines, etc. Today our GPD per capita has dropped to US$2k per capita, we have often relied on food aid, many of the companies and mines have closed, unemployment has soared to dizzying heights of 80% plus, etc.

The few ruling elite and their cronies have grown filthy rich at the expense of the masses. 49% of our people are living in extreme poverty and the situation is set to get worse and not better. It is true that Mnangagwa was NEVER EVER elected by the people of Zimbabwe. NEVER EVER! He got into State House in 2017 on the cocktail of the November 2017 military coup and went on to blatantly rig the 2018 and 2023 elections. Both SADC and AU election observers have condemned the 2023 election process as flawed and illegal.

It is hearten that some Zimbabweans are rightly outraged that the illegitimate President Mnangagwa is now seeking to extend his stay in office by hook and by crook through this CAB3. Is the outrage too little too late?

No it is not! But only is the awakening is not just a handful of individual and it extends beyond the individual dictator. We should be smart enough to realise change, real change, will come from replacing the Zanu PF dictatorship complete with its corrupt and useless MDC/CCC side-kick with a healthy and functioning democracy. Swapping Mnangagwa for Chiwenga will accomplish nothing just as the 2017 swap accomplished nothing!

"Chamisa is rich. He cannot be bribed!" This is sweet music to the Chamisa chete chete brigade members who are desperate to hear what they want to hear even when they KNOW it is not true.

Chamisa and his MDC/CCC fiends have failed to implement even one token reform in 26 years including 5 GNU years and have participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuated the nation's suffering. If Chamisa & co. were not bribed to blatantly betray the nation, then why did they do it?

Chamisa & co. did receive the E-Class Mercedes Benz, the generous salaries and allowances, the US$4 m mansion for Tsvangirai, etc. It is common knowledge that some of the MDC/CCC leaders farms and other high value assets from the Zanu PF regime. The only question that must be answered then is Was Chamisa one of the beneficiaries of these gifts from Zanu PF?

If so, then Jah Prayzah is bubbling nonsense to say Chamisa cannot be bribed because he is rich when it was the bribes that made him rich!

“If he's that rich, how did he make the money before he was a lawyer? Does it mean that donor funds for the party were indeed diverted for personal use as has always been alleged?”

MDC/CCC leaders sold out big time. Our problem is double edged:

    1) We have leaders who are corrupt, incompetent and tyrants whose only care is to have absolute power and the wealth that brings. They really do not give a damn about freedom, rights and the suffering of the masses.

    2) We have the people who are ignorant, naive and gullible, so naive, so gullible, they believe the leaders are infallible demigod who can do no wrong. The leaders have encouraged this mentality and exploited it for all the world!

There is no doubt that MDC/CCC leaders sold out big time. MDC was launched in 1999 on the promise of implementing the democratic changes to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections. The party was named Movement for Democratic Change thus underlining the importance democratic changes. The primary purpose of the 2008 to 2013 GNU was to implement the democratic changes to stop the repeat of the blatant cheating and wanton violence of the 2008 elections.

There are only two explanations why MDC leaders failed to implement even one token reform in five years of the GNU; breathtaking incompetence and corruption. There is a mountain of evidence to support both reasons! Pick you pick!

You should stop evoking the name of God in your idiotic rantings. Was God with Chiwenga when he and Mnangagwa master minded the 2008 Operation Mavhotera Papi too?

Chiwenga is corrupt, incompetent, a vote rigging and murderous thug. Why would God have anything to do with a corrupt and murderous thug?

Why you keep wittering the nonsense of swapping one dictator for another? In 2017 Zimbabwe swapped Mugabe for Mnangagwa and look where that landed us. Only a village idiot would want to repeat the folly of 2017.

MDC leaders failed to implement any meaning democratic reforms during the GNU because they are corrupt and incompetent and not because Zanu PF wielded a gun at them!

SADC was the guarantor of the 2009 GPA and if Zanu PF was being disruptive in the implementation of the reforms MDC leaders should have taken this to SADC. They never did.

Indeed, it was SADC, notably SA's Lindiwe Zulu who was constantly nagging MDC leaders to implement the reforms. Mugabe called her "street woman" after MDC leaders told him about her nagging.

MDC leaders sold out big time but only a few of them have ever admitted it. Historic facts do not change just because some one denies the truth!

MDC/CCC leaders have copied many of Zanu PF’s dirty habits including denying all wrong doing and always finding a scapegoat for all their failures even when there is overwhelming evidence it was their fault!

“Tsvangirai's house was about $1 m where does the $4m come from Social media spreading inaccurate information.”

Where does the US$1 m come from? The exact figure will probably be never known just as the exact figure of Mugabe’s Blue Roof Manson will never be known. The corrupt are smart enough never to keep records of their criminal activities.

Why are you obsessed with knowing what common sense tells you, you will never know?

What difference will knowing the exact amount make? A US$1m million bribe is as much a bribe as US$4m bribe if the end result is MDC selling out on implementing even one token reforms.

    Focus on what matters!

Confirms his past relationship with Chiwenga.

Chiwenga is a Zanu PF thug through and through, played his part in the creation of the Zanu PF dictatorship and has had his fair share of the looted wealth. He fell out with Mnangagwa because the latter is refusing to step aside so he can be the top dog too. He has come out fighting against corruption, zvigananda, to gain the support of the naive and gullible who are easily fooled and conned.

In 2017 the naive and gullible swapped one dictator for another and they are ready to repeat the same foolishness again! Fcuk me!

Violence has been part and parcel of Zimbabwe political culture during the fight for our independence and for the last 46 years since. Our failure to deal with the violence each and every time it has happened has added the culture of impunity and thus empowered the thugs to continue.

"Ramaphosa told Mnangagwa to stop Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 and drop thoughts of firing VP Chiwenga" reported New Zimbabwe.

Very sound advice and one only hopes that Mnangagwa pays heed! Failure to do either or both could well trigger another military coup. The 2017 military coup accomplished nothing and so will this next one hence the reason why no ordinary Zimbabwean would well come history repeating itself.

Mnangagwa himself should be fearful of another coup because he may well lose more than the presidency!

Some people have argued that the rural people should come out in full force to reject the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3) because if the bill goes through it will be a serious affront on "One man, one vote!" True enough, the bill will water down the little voting power that the people still had left given Zanu PF carte blanche dictatorial powers.

Still, the masses are largely indifferent to CAB3 because “One man, one vote!” was important to povo but no where near as important as the land issue, especially the right to own title deeds.

Before independence, John Robertson, a renowned Rhodesian/Zimbabwean Economist and Banker, advised Prime Minister Ian Smith of economic advantages of granting rural povo title deeds to even a few acres of land on which their mud huts stand. Smith said NO! He feared that an economically empowered black masses would demand political empowerment next.

Soon after independence, John Robertson gave the same advice to Prime Minister Robert Mugabe and he too rejected it for the same selfish political reasons. Zanu PF has continued to deny rural povo title deeds to even one acre of land to this day. The regime’s land redistribution of the seized white farms has benefited the Zanu PF rural elite and the cronies and not the rural povo!

It is a great pity that many Zimbabweans have failed to understand how Zanu PF has turned rural povo into medieval serfs for their own selfish political reasons! Forget CAB3 Zanu PF has always enjoyed carte blanche dictatorial power including its denial of rural folk title deeds of even one acre of land for purpose of controlling the rural voters.

Now you praising Chiwenga to the high heavens, ignoring Chiwenga is a corrupt, incompetent, vote rigging and murderous Zanu PF thug.

"A little learning is a dangerous thing”warned Alexander Pope. He was right, Zimbabwe is a failed state because we have nincompoops and buffoons who know fcuk all and yet think they are God’s blessing to the nation.

We have buffoons who have rigged elections to stay in power for 46 years and counting because they believe they have the divine right to rule Zimbabwe. They are pushing Constitutional Amendment Bill No.3 to extend their stay in power beyond what is stipulated and to give themselves even more dictatorial powers. All under the pretext they will turn round the country’s economic melt down three fold in four years, vision 2030!

Zimbabwe’s curse is to have given the nincompoops the voice and the vote because, in their infantile stupidity, they are the ones keeping the sell outs and buffoons in power. The nincompoops had the “shallow draughts intoxicate the brain”, Pope warned, and are so drunk they now consider them to be Pierian spring from which others come and drink!

Doug Coltart, remember the white guy who had his mobile phone at CAB3 public hearing and got international media coverage and his father is the CCC Mayor of Bulawayo, has vowed to produce video condemning the evil CAB3 will bring. He KNOWS as does his father that the amendment process is flawed, "so flawed, so illegal, the only logical step is to withdraw," as David Coltart confessed. David did not withdraw in 2013 or ever because he also knew that Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate no matter how flawed and illegal the process got.

Young Coltart is following in his father's foot steps. David Coltart played his part in defending white supremacy - damn the blacks. Father and son have joined forces in defence of the ruling elite and povo be damned!

The right to own property is a fundamental right and to the rural masses, this is the one right that means everything to them. And yet here we are 46 years after independence millions of our people continued to be denied this fundament right.

Land was the NUMBER ONE in the fight to end white colonial rule. Smith denied the rural folk the title deeds to land preferring communal ownership creating Tribal Trust Lands. Ever when Smith was presented with the economic benefits of granting title to even a few acres of land on which the rural folk's mud huts stood. He still refused because he feared economic empowerment would lead to demands for political empowerment.

Zanu PF has denied title deeds to povo for the same selfish political reason! How sickening that title deeds are now being dangled as a carrot to the ruling elite to approve CAB3!

WHY I, AS A WOMAN AND A SCHOLAR, AM ENDORSING CONSTANTINO CHIWENGA FOR PRESIDENT. I do not make political endorsements lightly.
As a political scientist I am trained to analyse, to interrogate, to hold all positions at arm's length and subject them to the cold discipline of evidence. Endorsements are for activists, I was taught. Scholars observe. But there are moments in a nation's history when the scholar's detachment becomes its own form of complicity. When silence in the face of a clear and urgent choice is not neutrality it is abdication.

This is one of those moments.
And so I am setting down my analytical framework for a moment and speaking plainly as a Zimbabwean woman who has studied power, who has watched this republic navigate its most consequential crossroads, and who has arrived through evidence, not emotion at a conclusion I am no longer willing to keep to myself.
Zimbabwe needs Vice President Constantino Chiwenga at the helm. And it needs him now.

I want to be precise about what I mean when I say evidence.
I do not mean proximity to power. I do not mean party affiliation. I do not mean the performance of patriotism that our political culture has elevated into an art form the loudest voice at the rally, the most extravagant praise song, the most theatrical declaration of loyalty.

I mean demonstrated conduct under pressure. I mean institutional behaviour across time. I mean the record that remains when the noise is stripped away.On every one of these measures Vice President Chiwenga's record is remarkable and remarkably consistent. In November 2017 he was offered the presidency. Not metaphorically. Not as a distant possibility. He was offered it directly, by the man whose removal he had just facilitated. He declined. He deferred to hierarchy. He said it was another man's time and stepped back.

In the years since he has watched that decision be repaid with marginalisation. With the gradual contraction of his access and influence. With the quiet rearrangement of the inner circle to exclude the man who made the inner circle possible.

He has not responded with bitterness. He has not responded with public theatrics. He has continued to engage. To speak on substance on health policy, on the exploitation of Zimbabwean workers abroad, on the structural challenges facing this nation while others perform. That is not weakness. That is the rarest quality in African politics:
Discipline in the face of provocation.

Discipline in the face of provocation.

I want to say something that my male colleagues in political science rarely say, because it requires a kind of vulnerability that academic culture does not always reward.
    Zimbabwe's women are exhausted.
We are exhausted by leadership that performs strength while delivering chaos. We are exhausted by the big man politics that fills stadiums and empties hospitals. We are exhausted by the patronage culture that builds mansions for the connected while our mothers deliver babies in under-resourced maternity wards.

We are exhausted by Zvigananda. By the brazen, unapologetic looting of a nation's resources by men who have confused proximity to power with entitlement to everything the nation produces.

When I look at what Vice President Chiwenga has said about the exploitation of Zimbabwean health workers abroad nurses, our nurses, leaving not because they want to but because they have no dignified option at home I hear a leader who understands that governance is not abstract. It is the ward that is staffed or understaffed. It is the mother who delivers safely or does not. It is the child who receives treatment or waits.~Chipo Musarurwa Siziba.”

Endorsing Constantino Chiwenga for State Presidency!!!! How anyone, let alone, some calling herself a scholar can ever come up with such a load of bulls***t, beggars belief!

“When silence in the face of a clear and urgent choice is not neutrality it is abdication!” Really?

Chiwenga is corrupt, incompetent and a murderous Zanu PF thug who has played his part in creating and imposing the de facto one party Zanu PF dictatorship that has ruled this nation with an iron fist for the last 46 years. It was Mnangagwa and Chiwenga who orchestrated the 2008 Operation Mavhotera Papi, the electoral coup, in which the ordinary people were punished for having dared to reject Zanu PF in the March 2008 vote. The two thugs should have been send to jail for that and only a fool would want them rewarded with occupying the highest office in the land.

Chiwenga orchestrated the 2017 military coup to replace one dictator with another. The factional war in Zanu PF is over who the next dictator should be.

The nation is not interested is swapping one dictator for another and repeat to foolishness of 2017. What we want is to dismantle the dictatorship and replace it with a healthy and functioning democracy.

After 46 years of blundering from pillar too post and in this day and age one had hoped that the penny has finally dropped that the de facto one party dictatorship system of government has failed. Alas! No!What should be obvious remains a mystery of mysteries to millions of our people including “observing scholars”! Proof one can be celebrated scholar and yet will have no common sense. NONE!

“There is no reason for calling anyone a ‘fool’ because you do not like her choice. We are a democracy, and let us respect each other’s choice. No one, unblemished, is going to come from heaven and govern Zimbabwe.”

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. The person repeating the same thing is, per se, insane. And saying the individual is insane is not insulting them because it is simply stating a fact backed by evidence.

There is a mountain of evidence to prove Chiwenga is corrupt, incompetent, a vote rigging and murderous thug. He was involved in Operation Mavhotera Papi and the 2017 military coup. Only a fool would consider a corrupt, incompetent and murderous thug a suitable candidate for presidential office - that is not insulting the individual because it is backed by facts.

Democratic choice has nothing to do with insanity or foolishness since the insane and fools too have a voice and a vote!

Indeed, Zimbabwe’s worst curse is that we have millions of fools who have the vote and are holding the nation to ransom. Some of the fools are even justifying electing thugs president, swapping one dictator for another, on the idiotic grounds “no one unblemished is going to come from heaven to govern”
