Chombo a silent Zim billionaire
On the matrimonial assets, Mrs Chombo says she signed a post-nuptial agreement stating that they will share 50 percent of all properties acquired — whether held personally or in proxy — during the subsistence of their marriage.
She averred that on top of fixed assets including a borehole, generator, coldroom, it will be just for Minister Chombo to pay a monthly maintenance of US$2 000 until her death or re-marriage.
She also wants the court to award her 15 of the family vehicles that include:

She further wants the court to share farming equipment at New Allan Grange Farm including three tractors, two new combine harvesters, two boom sprayers and two engines.
She is also seeking an order compelling Minister Chombo to cede to her shares in the family's 10 companies including Dickest, Hamdinger, Landberry and Track in Security Company.
Mrs Chombo, in her court papers, is also claiming cattle at Darton Farm, shared chicken runs, pigsties, a shop, grinding mill, house, mills, tractors, lorries, six trucks, five of which are non-runners, four trailers (three non-runners) and one truck.
She added that other interests were the Mvurwi Mine, hunting safari lodges in Chiredzi, Hwange, Magunje and Chirundu as well as properties in South Africa.
No wonder these Zanu PF have killed just to remain in power so they can continue to loot!

ReplyDeleteZimbabwe is not standing at a cross road; we have travelled this road for 46 years and counting sinking deeper and deeper into the abyss. The real question is not which way to go but rather how long are we going to continue down this road.
Zimbabweans have failed to see and deal with corruption are the root cause of the country's economic meltdown because Zanu PF hid it behind the sanctions smoke screen. The nation believed Chamisa's idiotic lies and were conned to participate in flawed elections to perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship and the nation's suffering. A nation this blind and naive can never be a master of its own destiny!

I believe MDC/CCC leaders have played a part by failing to implement the reforms and by conning people to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. I have never denied that Zanu PF has played a role in this mess and refuse to accept the idiotic suggestion that talking about Chamisa's lies, etc. is tantamount to denying Zanu PF played a role.
I refuse the myopic focus on Zanu PF and ignore MDC/CCC because that will not solve anything. This is a complex problem with two variables and not a simple problem with just one variable!

ReplyDeleteMawarire tells us the Army stage the 2017 military coup to impose Mnangagwa and staged "a soft electoral coup" to get Mnangagwa a win after getting 32% of the votes. The generals got Mnangagwa to agree that he would serve only one five year term. Mnangagwa broke his promise and sidelined the Army in favour of CIO and FAZ to help him rig the 2023. Yes Mnangagwa rigged 2023 elections, Mawarire confirmed.
Mawarire's number one message is that the Army is keen as mustard to stop Mnangagwa extending his stay in office beyond 2028 and get the Army's preferred Zanu PF candidate in 2028 elections. The Army is fishing for the Zimbabwe masses' sympathy and support in this. Fat chance!
If the Army get their preferred presidential candidate (Chiwenga) we can be certain of one think - they will rigged in the 2028 elections to ensure their Zanu PF candidate wins, a soft coup or another full blooded military coup is need be.
Of course, no rational Zimbabwean in his/her right mind would want yet another rigged election, another Zanu PF dictator. The folly of 2017 where we swap one dictator for another must not be repeated.

Mnangagwa rigged 2023 elections, SADC and AU know that and Mawarire gave a lot more details of how Zanu PF has rigged recent elections. Mnangagwa got away with the rigged elections only because Chamisa conned millions to participate in the flawed elections. He lied that he had plugged all the vote rigging loop holes and the people were foolish enough to believe the idiotic lies.
By participating in the flawed elections in their millions Zimbabweans give Zanu PF legitimacy. "Yatsika musheche, yamwa!" as the Shona adage would say.
Chamisa has returned to the political dance floor for one purpose and one purpose only - to con the nation to participate in flawed 20238 elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. If people are conned by Chamisa yet again then Zanu PF will rig the elections and get away with it yet again. And we deserve to suffer!
Who does not know we DO NOT have an independent judiciary? If we already know the judiciary is captured whatever it say on this matter will not change anything. Indeed by participating we are saying we do not know that it is captured and thus giving the compromised judiciary legitimacy just as we have been doing in participating in flawed elections.

MDC/CCC leaders have failed to implement even one token democratic reform in 25 years including 5 GNU years. Since the GNU debacle they have participated in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and to perpetuate the nation's suffering for a share of the spoils of power.
Chamisa has remained popular with his Chamisa chete chete brigade because they have no clue he is running with the povo hare and hunting with the Zanu PF hounds. He lied about plugging vote rigging loop holes to stop Zanu PF rigging the 2023 elections and even with the benefit of the historic fact that Zanu PF rigged the elections, the brigade members still refuse to accept Chamisa lied!

Chiwenga and Mnangagwa are the ones who masterminded the 2008 Operation Mavhotera Papi whose principle purpose was to punish the people of Zimbabwe for having dared to reject Zanu PF in the 2008 March vote. Were they respecting the constitution and the people's fundamental right to have a meaningful say in the governance of the country?
Chiwenga was the ringleader in the 2017 military coup and it had nothing to do with "rescuing the nation" bulls**t!
In a recent interview Jealous Mawarire has revealed that Mnangagwa got 32% of the votes and "the army generals" helped rig the elections and get him over the line because "we did not stage the coup to let the opposition rule," was they generals's justification.
Chiwenga is up in arms against Mnangagwa's plan to stay in power beyond 2028, beyond the constitution's stipulated two term limit; only because he feels it is his turn to be president.
Do you serious think if he was the Zanu PF candidate the regime would respect the democratic right of the people and hold free, fair and credible elections? Or would the regime rig the elections to get him over the line as usual?

The issue here is that ED2030 is a decoy to draw attention away from the fact that Mnangagwa rigged the 2023 elections. He threw it into the ring soon after the 2023 elections and many fell for it and forgot he was illegitimate. He has kept ED2030 in the ring, spiced it up with Zanu PF party resolutions, to draw the nation's attention away from the real big issue - that with no reforms implemented Zanu PF will rig 2028 elections and thus perpetuate the dictatorship.
Even if ED2030 is stopped, this will be a Pyrrhic victory if Zanu PF rigs 2028 elections and get away with it! If Zanu PF does not get away with a rigged 2028 elections Mnangagwa will NOT be president beyond 2028 because there can be no dictator without the dictatorship!

No one would deny that Zanu PF has been rigging elections. Indeed, that is exactly the reason why the people of Zimbabwe have risked their livelihoods, limbs and even their lives to elect MDC/CCC leaders into power so that they would implement the democratic reforms to end the Zanu PF dictatorship.
After 25 years including the 5 GNU years Zanu PF continues to blatantly rig elections because MDC/CCC have failed to implement even one token reform. Why? They sold out!
