Yes, "normal for ruling elite to enjoy whilst povo suffer" but it is not because "opposition have gone to sleep". W Mukori

 @ Leonard Kino

MANY Zimbabweans are wondering how they can fit into a new political discourse as the hunger for political change wanes.

The conflict requires realignment and recalibration.

A robust, resilient political party that can win over both rural and urban voters is needed in Zimbabwe now.

We only had a powerful opposition party once, in 2000, when the late Morgan Tsvangirai was the leader of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

In that year, MDC won 57 out of the 120 seats in the House of Assembly despite intimidation and electoral fraud.

For over 20 years, our opposition has been focused on furthering its own interests rather than the aspirations of the people.

While feigning to be tackling the problems faced by the people, they have caused the masses to live in constant hatred for one another.

It has become the norm in Zimbabwe that the ruling elite enjoys champagne and dinner at night while the electorate languishes in abject poverty because our opposition is in deep slumber.

As we continue to defend them, they continue to exploit the naive and act incompetently on the backdrop of our tolerance.

There is no opposition part in Zimbabwe right now to talk about.

You are right it has become “the norm in Zimbabwe that the ruling elite enjoys champagne and dinner at night while the electorate languishes in abject poverty”. However you are wrong to suggest this is happening “because our opposition is in deep slumber”! Zanu PF would not still be in power today if the opposition had gone to sleep.

Mugabe bribed Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends with the trappings of high office during the GNU so they forgot about implementing the reforms. Mugabe was smart enough to know that if Zanu PF was going to remain in power the party needed MDC/CCC leaders to con their followers, in their millions, to participate in flawed elections so flawed the result is not only predetermined and participating will give vote rigging Zanu Pf legitimacy and, worst of all, perpetuate the nation’s suffering.

No MDC/CCC leaders have not been sleeping; their have been busy playing their part as Zanu PF team B in all but name, playing for team A to win and have legitimacy. Zanu PF has rewarded MDC/CCC leaders with a few gravy train seats. In 2018 Mnangagwa created POLAD as a bonus to opposition leaders who continue to participate in the flawed elections.

Chamisa conned 2 million of his brain dead followers to participate in the 2023 elections on the basis of an idiotic lie. He told them he had “plugged all vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!” Of course, he lied!

What matters is that Mnangagwa rigged the elections and got away with it. Chamisa was paid US$20m for his hard work, according to Jealous Mawarire.

Chamisa took one year and half Sabbatical leave after 2023 elections and is now back on the campaign trail for the flawed 2028 elections. He has to con his followers to participate once again on the basis of yet another idiotic lie!

He has his work cut out for him because some of the followers are waking up to the reality that Chamisa is not just a liar but a paid conman luring them perpetuate their own suffering for thirty pieces of silver!

Yes it has become the norm for the ruling elite to enjoy themselves whist the masses languish in abject poverty. But it is wrong to say "opposition has gone to sleep". Chamisa worked his tail off to con millions to participate in flawed 2023 elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. He was rewarded with US$20m, according to Jealous Mawarire.

He has come back from his sabbatic leave to start conning people to participate in flawed 2028 elections. It will be harder this time since many now know he lied in 2023! He will not be sleeping.

Chamisa is a public official who has lied to con people to participate in flawed elections with tragic consequences. Of course, he will be held to account for it, more so since he is gearing to repeat the conning!

“The hardest lesson of my life come to me late. It is that a nation can win freedom without its people becoming free!”

Alas! This a a lesson millions still have not learned and, tragically, many will never ever learn!

“You are on a pathetic character assassinating campaign against Chamisa . You might be hiding behind your pen asi tirikukuona plus takukuziva . MR NO SOLUTIONS

Without NC's name in your articles you have nothing meaning to write so is this platform haina chinemusoro chekutaura.”

All leaders are accountable to the people including people like me with no solutions! Chamisa lied about plugging the vote rigging loop holes to con millions to participate in 20234 elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed. He must account for the idiotic lies and the consequences of giving Zanu PF legitimacy.

What Kenya's generation z is going through right now no0w is a common and recurring problem in many African countries including Zimbabwe - a young generation having to fight the generation before them for their freedoms, rights and future. Yesteryear's liberators have become today's oppressors. Generation Z must not only fight for their freedoms and rights but, most important of all, fight to end the vicious cycle of yesterday's liberators becoming in turn the next oppressor.

Zimbabwe has often followed Kenya's example, we are several decades if not generations behind Kenya. We are yet to learn the folly of participating in flawed elections, then learn that the ruling elite have their own selfish agenda and hence the reason why we should never support them blindly as many povo do!

“You said on the WhatsApp string above on another day that you are sharing on this platform to stop corruption and Conman. Can you tell us about your stopping machinery. We are tired of Zvigananda, Election Rigging, and Conman, and all we need is a Zimbabwe that works and distributes its wealth to the citizens and creates wealth that transcends generations.”

Stopping sell out like Chamisa conning millions from participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the dictatorship is one good starting point. The brain dead Chamisa chete chete must be forced to open their eyes and minds so the see Chamisa for the corrupt, incompetent and liar he is and not the demigod you want them to see.

All opposition leaders who are fighting for a share of the gravy train seats in the present system will never change anything. Any opposition leader worth a spit will know without reforms nothing will ever change. Nothing!

ZIMBABWE IS A FAILED STATE AND THE ROOT CAUSE OF IT IS OUR FAILURE TO HOLD FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS FOR 45 YEARS AND COUNTING.

Zanu PF has rigged elections for 45 years and the last 25 years was with the MDC/CCC leaders' connivance. Chamisa & co., have failed to implement even one token reform to stop Zanu PF rigging elections and they have conned the people to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed.

Chamisa lied about "plugging vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!" Mocking God! Why some people continue to believe his idiotic lies beggars belief. The very thought of them participating in flawed 2028 elections to perpetuate the Zanu PF dictatorship is unthinkable. They must be stopped!

“When Chamisa was lying, what were you doing then? But do you really think when Chamisa was saying we have plugged all the loopholes to curb rigging, ZANU Pf was doing nothing as a counter measure?”

Some of the question asked are so dumb!

“When Chamisa was lying, what were you doing then?” So it was ok for Chamisa to lie and con millions to participate in flawed elections because I was doing nothing? Only a nincompoop would ask such an idiotic question!

Chamisa is a public official, he lied to con millions to do a very foolish thing with disastrous consequences to the whole nation. Of course, he must be held to account.

You are asking foolish questions because you cannot bear to see him held to account. He is your demigod! How any one can consider a mere mortal a demigod in this day and age beggars belief. No wonder we are a failed state.

I listened to Chamisa, for I believe in his leadership, just like how you listened to ED your preference. If you are so tired with Chamisa bounce, and find another alternative. We are tired really, Chamisa this Chamisa that, ko iwewe pa time yese iyoyo uri kuitei, what have you achieved yet by holding Chamisa to account?"

Chamisa is a public figure and he conned millions to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. He must be held to account for it. Private individual do NOT need to do anything to hold leaders to account.

Your insistence on people having to explain what they have been doing before holding Chamisa to account is typical Zanu PF mentality, where only those who fought in the liberation war have a right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country.

Chamisa lied and con millions to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the nation's suffering for selfish political gain. Of course, he must and will be held to account. That is not negotiable and only a nincompoop like you would want him to go scott-free!

Corruption is robbing the nation of hope and the future. Fighting corruption in Zimbabwe is proving to be a Herculean task because all the nation's institutions including the Police, Army, ZEC, parliament and, notably of all, the opposition have all been corrupted by Zanu PF. MDC/CCC leaders are Zanu PF team B in all but name, playing the political game for team A to win and have political legitimacy.

The number one step in dismantling Zanu PF has to be for the people themselves to finally realise that MDC/CCC leaders have been running with the povo hare and hunting with the Zanu PF hounds.

    Singing for his supper!

The tragedy with Zimbabwe’s political system is that Zanu PF was sort to divide the nation into the ruling elite and their cronies have the right to loot the nation’s worth and live in luxury.

Below the ruling elite are the war veterans, detainees and others with liberation war history who have been fed on scraps and promises of a better tomorrow for 45 years and counting. They have been brainwashed to support the status quo at all cost.

At the bottom are the ordinary Zimbabweans who have been systematically denied their freedoms and rights including their right to a meaningful vote on the pretext Zanu PF has the divine right to rule and loot!

Zimbabwe's political system is rotten to the core. Zanu PF has corrupted the state institutions and is now so deeply entrenched dismantling the political system is now a Herculean task. And yet it must be dismantled a.s.a.p. because the human suffering it has brought is unbearable and the nation's stability is now at stake!

Zimbabwe’s failure to end the curse of rigged elections and bad governance is the number one issue on the nation’s agenda and Chamisa is helping Zanu PF rig elections and get away with it. You do not know this, I do!

Even a village idiot like you cannot deny that Chamisa lied about plugging vote rigging loop holes. You want it swept under the carpet because you do not understand that he did this to give Zanu PF legitimacy (God knows this has been explained to you countless times). And, worst of all, Chamisa cannot be allowed to repeat this madness in 2028 elections.

Thank God we are not all a nation of village idiots! It would irresponsible to let the village idiots have the final say on setting the national agenda. So, rigged elections, reforms and Chamisa and his idiotic lies are on the national agenda and there is fcuk-all the village idiots can do about it.

There were times when being a war veteran counted for sometime, not all war veterans were ruling elite and lived in luxury still one was treated with reverence and respect. Only the war veterans dared to make the economic and political demands that led to the demise of Mugabe's rule in 2017. Blessed Geza tried to make similar demands and has since been silenced.

Mnangagwa is not Mugabe! The war veterans, Police, Army, everyone knows that Mnangagwa is a ruthless tyrant from the Gukurahundi Massacre, 2008 Operation Mavhotera Papi, 2017 coup, etc. Fear rules the roost.

How ironic that the war veterans now live in fear, a taste of their own medicine, and are yarning to be liberated from the Zanu PF thuggery! War veterans repeated "2030 Mnangagwa will still rule!" and none dared speak their mind!

"Where did Chamisa bank this $20m? Is it in Zimbabwe Banks? Was it deposited to his Zimbabwean bank account or to an offshore account?

Please can you give us those details, because $20m it’s a lot of money to be Banked in a country like Zimbabwe and not traceable.
Mukori do you have any evidence about the $20m?"

I do not have the bank details of Chivayo or the US$1.6 b per year in smuggled gold. Does that prove Chivayo is not looting or Gold Mafia do not exist?
