Mnangagwa is just a buffoon and not the "intelligent" leaders Mutsvangwa claims.

Zanu-PF spokesperson Chris Mutsvangwa has publicly declared President Emmerson Mnangagwa as the intellectual and ideological leader of the ruling party, emphasizing his quick absorption of new ideas and his practical approach to implementing them. Mutsvangwa made these remarks in a recent podcast hosted by economic analysts Tinashe Murapata and Rufaro Zengeni, where he also dismissed claims that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga is the strategic thinker or military leader of the organization.

According to Mutsvangwa, President Mnangagwa's ability to swiftly grasp new concepts and translate them into actionable policies sets him apart as the ideological guide of Zanu-PF. He described Mnangagwa as an "intelligent" leader who drives the party's ideational activities, contrasting his leadership style with that of Vice President Chiwenga, who is often associated with the military wing of the party.

Mutsvangwa scoffed at the idea of comparing Chiwenga to the late Josiah Magama Tongogara, the revered military commander of the Zimbabwe Liberation Army (ZANLA) during the liberation struggle. He stressed that there is no comparison between the two, highlighting the difference in their natural endowments and capacities. While Tongogara was lauded for his strategic thinking and military acumen, Mutsvangwa argued that Chiwenga does not possess the same qualities, particularly in the realm of ideation and strategy within Zanu-PF.

The comments come as a surprise to many, as Mnangagwa is not typically regarded as the intellectual and ideological leader of the party. Instead, he is often perceived as a pragmatic securocrat and enforcer, who rules with a firm hand. Critics have long referred to him as a "brawn and no brains" leader, focusing on his background as a military leader and security chief rather than his intellectual contributions.

In the context of Zanu-PF's history, intellectuals and strategists have always played a crucial role in shaping the party's narrative and policy direction. For years, the late former president Robert Mugabe, who passed away in 2019, was seen as the intellectual and ideological cornerstone of the party. Under his leadership, Mugabe was revered for his ability to craft policies and narratives that resonated both domestically and internationally.

Mutsvangwa's assertion, however, signals a shift in how President Mnangagwa is viewed within the party, positioning him as not only a political enforcer but also as the ideological driving force of Zanu-PF's future.

Mnangagwa’s intellectual incompetency is there for all to see already from his failure to revive the Zimbabwe economy his taking over in 2017, for example. He was cocksure his “Zimbabwe is open for business!” mantra was going to open the flood gate of investors. No such thing! Investors are a shrewd lot they knew the November military coup was nothing but musical chairs game that saw one dictator being replaced by another.

Zimbabwe was a pariah state ruled by corrupt and murderous thugs who rigged elections to stay in power. Many businesses had collapsed because it was notoriously difficult to do business in a pariah state. It was laughable to even suggest that the swapping of one dictator for another could ever be viewed as ending the pariah state and “opening Zimbabwe for business.”

Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, by which date Zimbabwe is supposed to have risen from the ashes of the failed state it has sunk into to be a upper middle income status, is a mirage. corruption was bad under Mugabe but since Mnangagwa took over in the November 2017 corruption has gone into overdrive.

An Al Jazeera documentary showed that 80% the country’s US$2 billion gold was lost to smugglers. In 2019 the then Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor John Mangudya said Zimbabwe could pay off its US$20 billion foreign debt and still have money to finance its development needs without borrowing another penny if the looting of its gold and diamonds alone were stamped out.

Mnangagwa is just a buffoon and not the “intelligent” leader Mutsvangwa portrayed! But then, Mutsvangwa himself is just another buffoon, a toad, masquerading as a genius!

  1. The United States and Britain imposed sanctions on several individuals and businesses linked to global gold smuggling and money laundering networks, with Zimbabwean businessman Kamlesh Pattni at the center of the operation.

The sanctions, announced yesterday on International Anti-Corruption Day, target Pattni and 27 others implicated in illicit gold trafficking that has contributed to corruption and undermined the country's economic integrity. The move was led by the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), which accused Pattni of bribing officials, using trusted proxies to conceal ownership, and creating an elaborate web of businesses to mask his illegal activities.

Pattni, featured prominently in the Al Jazeera Gold Mafia documentary, is accused of smuggling gold from Zimbabwe to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). His network allegedly siphoned wealth from Zimbabwe's natural resources, benefiting corrupt government figures and criminal syndicates while denying the country's citizens the profits from its gold exports.

"Pattni and his network's illicit activities have robbed Zimbabwe's citizens of the benefits derived from natural resources," said the US Treasury Department. "This fraudulent scheme has enriched corrupt officials and criminal actors, further undermining the country's economy."

The Gold Mafia documentary, released in March 2023, highlighted the involvement of high-ranking government figures, including Uebert Angel, Zimbabwe's Ambassador-at-Large. In the documentary, Angel and his associates were secretly recorded offering assistance to Al Jazeera journalists to launder over $1.2 billion in illicit funds. Pattni's role in manipulating gold exports and laundering vast sums through international banking systems was exposed as part of the investigation.

About time the international community started to do something to stop the wholesale looting of the nation’s resources in Zimbabwe. Just because the country’s leaders are involved in the looting in their hundreds of thousands right up those holding the highest offices in the land does not mean the looting is ok.

80% of the country’s US$2 billion worth of gold per year is being smuggled, according to the Al Jazeera documentary! No wonder Zimbabwe is a failed state.

MDC/CCC have failed to win elections in the past not because the opposition was not united but because Zanu PF rigged the elections. So why is unity now being portrayed once again as the key to opposition winning the elections.

The people of Zimbabwe must not be conned by yet another oxymoronic lie of winning RIGGED election into participating in flawed 2028 elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the nation's suffering!

Mnangagwa is a corrupt, incompetent and murderous buffoon who believes that Zanu PF has the divine right to govern Zimbabwe. For Mutsvangwa to portray him as an intellectual and strategies is just nonsense. History will remember him as a corrupt, incompetent and murderous buffoon. Period!

  5. Bulawayo Mayor David Coltart has criticised football legend Peter Ndlovu for accepting a BMW X6M Sport from Wicknell Chivayo.

Ndlovu was recently gifted the car valued at over US$140,000 by the controversial tenderpreneur whose source of wealth remains questionable.

    poster
In an X post, Coltart said celebrities who have been receiving posh cars and other gifts from Chivayo have “a duty” to ask where he got the money from.

Some local celebrities who have received Chivayo’s gifts include Mai Chisamba, Leonard Zhakata, Jah Prayzah, Moses Chunga, Mai Charamba, Killer T and several others.

“I am sad that Peter Ndlovu has had to sully his fine name in this way. Celebrities have a duty to ask the question – where did the money come from to buy these vehicles,” wrote Coltart.

Meanwhile, opposition leader Job Sikhala, warned there will be consequences.

“Mari ye ZANU PF unoidya nemuseredzero. Siyanai nazvo vakomana. Zvatiri kunzwaka tichaonerera. We will be spectators!!!”

Of course, Mayor Coltart has a point. We all know that the likes of Chivhayo and Mnangagwa are buying all these luxury goods with money looted from the ordinary Zimbabweans who are living in abject poverty. And so all the reciptients of the cars, housing loans, generous salaries (Judges and politicians) must not forget things are bought with dirty money.

Still, it is rich for Mayor Coltart to be pointing fingers at the likes of Peter Ndlovu when he and his MDC/CCC frioends are the beneficiary of Mugabe and Mnangagwa bribes. Coltart cannot deny that he and his MDC/CCC friends did not implement even one token reform durinbg the GNU because Mugabe bribed them. Neither can Coltart deny that he and his friends have been participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy out of greed. He admitted this in his book!

“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.

David Coltart should not be a hypocrite, chiding others over a speck in their eyes whilst overlooking the log in his own eye!

Mnangagwa is on record boasting about his role in the 2008 Operation Mavhotera Papi in which Joint Operation Command (JOC) stage the electoral coup. The Junta used war veterans, Zanu PF youth militia backed by the security services personal to punish the people for having dared to reject Zanu PF in the March vote. Mnangagwa boasts of his role as one of his "finest hours".

Operation Mavhotera Papi showed Mnangagwa as a a murderous buffoon. Mutsvangwa praised him as a intellectual and strategist - a toad signing for his supper!

"The Hypocrisy of Nonviolence: A Call for True Leadership in Zimbabwe

The promotion of nonviolence as the only path to liberation is not just impractical—it’s manipulative. It’s a narrative pushed by global powers, many of whom built their dominance on violence and force, yet now preach pacifism to the oppressed. Zimbabwe, and Africa, cannot afford to pursue nonviolence blindly. The world has seen how global powers like the U.S. and Israel used force to secure freedoms—force they now deny to African nations fighting tyranny.

This contradiction is glaring: Nations that boast of peace and democracy, like the U.S. and Israel, maintain their control with the biggest military arsenals. They understand that power is maintained through force. Yet, they demand."

Those who live by the sword will die by the sword. Yes the colonial powers used violence in Africa because they were here to loot and go away back to their own country where there is rule of law. We encourage violence and lawlessness and have to live with the consequences all our lives!

Ghana has shown once again that Africa can hold free, fair and credible elections and that even a leader who was in power and lost elections can stage a come-back eight years latter!

Zimbabwe has failed to hold free and fair elections in 44 years because we have Zanu PF thugs who believe they have the divine right to rule. The situation has been compounded by a corrupt opposition helping to keep Zanu PF in power for jackal at a lion's kill share of the spoils of power and an electorate so ignorant and naive they have failed to see what is going on.

The opposition has failed to win elections any elections in Zimbabwe not because they are not united but because elections are rigged. Yes a divided opposition will make it easy for Zanu PF to rig parliamentary elections but not so with presidential elections. Zanu PF has won the latter by blatantly topping up to get their candidate over the line. MDC/CCC have connived in the blatant rigging out of greed.

MDC/CCC have used unite as panacea to end the Zanu PF dictatorship to draw attention away from their selling out on reforms, to justify their participation in flawed elections and to hide the reason for participating is greed!
