"Win we shall! God is in it!" proclaimed Chamisa - Nonsense! A discerning mind ossified into fat N Garikai

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

The Lord God’s greatest gift to mankind is a discerning mind and with it, mankind has achieved many things. He has split the atom to its subatomic components to reveal the workings of matter. He has left earth to gaze into the vastness of space and sense of birth and death of stars.

Alas, some people have sat on their brain, and it has ossified into fat. They are now incapable of thinking and are given to repeating the same foolish mistakes over and over again.

“HOPE EVERYWHERE…It’s not easy to carry the hopes of all generations and the entire nation. Our parents in the rural areas are pinning their hopes on us,” wrote Nelson Chamisa, President of CCC (MDC rebranded) on Twitter.

“The task is huge. Friends, help me to pray for wisdom and strength to deliver a New Great Zimbabwe! WIN we shall! Happy Sabbath #fakapressure #Godisinit

GOKWE is an interesting place! #fakapressure.”

The people of Zimbabwe have risked life and limb to elect Chamisa and his MDC friends on the understanding the party would deliver the democratic changes to end the Zanu PF dictatorship. After 22 years, 5 of which in the GNU, MDC leaders have failed to deliver even one token reform. Not one!

Why?

Chamisa and company have ignored calls from SADC, the EU, the Commonwealth and many others, for MDC to implement the democratic reforms designed to stop Zanu PF rigging elections. Zanu PF has refused to produce a verified voters’ roll, denied 3 million Zimbabweans in the diaspora the vote, etc.; proof the party is once again rigging these elections. Chamisa and company continue to ignore the evidence in favour of their oxymoronic belief in winning rigged elections!

After 42 years of rigged elections, history is set to repeat itself. Zanu PF will rig and win the 2023 elections. By insisting on participating in these flawed and illegal elections CCC will once again give Zanu PF legitimacy.

“Win we shall! God is in it!” No, He is not in any of this! God is disappointed to see the tragic suffering of ordinary Zimbabwean because of decades of Zanu PF misrule and disappointed with MDC/CCC leaders’ repeated failure to end the Zanu PF dictatorship.

Nelson Chamisa and his CCC friends are hell bent on participating in these flawed and illegal elections out of ignorance, ossified brain, and greed. Zanu PF has offered a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate.

The message that Zanu PF is rigging the elections and that participating only gives Zanu PF legitimacy must be repeated a thousand times. No one, especially Chamisa and company must never say they did not know they are brain-dead and selling outs.

God gave mankind a discerning mind, He would never approve His gift being wasted, ossified into fat!

  1. "Since #CCC seeks power to govern Zim, the public is entitled to know where #CCC leadership has come from & how it's held accountable?"

Moyo says the issue arises because "CCC says it is not a rebranded political party, but is a brand new political formation. The time has come for Zim to consider registering political parties. Parties with no constitution, no structures & no founding processes should not contest elections!"

"It is not and it cannot be in the public interest to have a secret society masquerading as a political party, to contest elections for public office. That is just wrong and it has no precedence anywhere in the world. In fact, it is very scary from a societal point of view!"
It is true that CCC is just a one-man show masquerading as a political party.
However, Moyo is not being honest to suggest there is “no precedence” of one-man show masquerading as aa political party. This is the norm is autocratic organisations. Mugabe was certain one such autocratic who surrounded himself with stooges who did not dare say anything for fear he would not approve. “Mose murivakadzi vaMugabe!” (You are all Mugabe’s concubines!) Margaret Dongo contemptuously dismissed Zanu PF MPs and ministers because they all grovelled to Mugabe.
Tsvangirai was a dictator too hence the reason why people dismissed his party as kitchen cabinet there to rubber stamp his wishes. Chamisa has dispensed with the kitchen cabinet, he does not need anyone to rubber stamp his decisions!
Both Zanu PF and MDC/CCC have but contempt for the ordinary people and the reason why the two party have paid lip service to the holding of free, fair and credible elections. Zanu PF rigs the elections and MDC is doing its best to win rigged elections. In other words, both parties do not care that the ordinary Zimbabweans are denied their right to a meaningful say in the governance of the country as long as the win power!

  2. EXILED former Cabinet minister Jonathan Moyo has described Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa as politically green and needed to work harder to guarantee a comprehensive victory in the 2023 elections.
"Actually, by showing ‘Chamisa beating Mnangagwa' with 33% over 30% in a presidential election that requires at least 50%+1 vote to win; means neither Chamisa nor Mnangagwa would win if the vote is held today. With 33%, Chamisa would need 17%+1 vote to win, a mountain to climb!" Moyo tweeted
To describe Chamisa as “politically green” is misleading because it implies that he will mature with time. The man is 40 years old and has blundered from pillar to post all these years; there is no sign that he has learned anything from the past. He does not even have the common sense to realise the sheer stupidity of his “winning in rigged elections” nonsense and thus continue participating in flawed and illegal elections only to give Zanu PF legitimacy.
Afrobarometer’s opinion poll is utterly meaningless because it assumes Zimbabwe elections are free, fair and credible. Everyone with any democratic credentials worth aa spit has dismissed Zimbabwean elections as farce! Everyone that is except Afrobarometer!
If elections were free and fair the people would vote for aa donkey if the race was better Mnangagwa and the donkey – that is how desperate people are to get rid of Zanu PF!
In the March 2008 vote, when Zimbabwe came the closest ever to holding free and fair elections, Tsvangirai garnered 73% of the vote, according to Robert Mugabe’s Freudian slip. The Zanu PF vote rigging juggernaut was switched back on and stopped the results being announced. The results were finally announced after six weeks of whittling down the 73% to 47%, enough to force the runoff.
The Zanu PF vote rigging machinery is already in overdrive. The regime has stubbornly refused to produce a verified voters’ roll, for example. It goes without saying that the majority of the people Afrobarometer polled are not in the voters’ roll and/or will not vote!

"Why are people even wasting time discussing a 33 & 30% when there’s a 37% that’s unaccounted for! Even if Chamisa gets 100% in the survey the ZEC still won’t declare him winner; that’s why we need electoral reforms yesterday, for we cannot seriously expect one of the players to choose the referee and still lose."

I totally agree with you there, there will be no meaning political change in Zimbabwe until we bite the bullet and implement the reforms first! Reforms are the elephant in the room that even Chamisa and company do not want to talk about much to Zanu PF’s advantage and so the whole nation is now on this idiotic wild goose chase to win rigged elections.

We are all sold on the foolish notion that Zanu PF has the right to rig elections! We are a foolish nation and no wonder we are up to our eyes in s***t! And unless we come to our senses and finally implement the reforms we are not getting out of the s***t!

  4. The defiant Paradza said the party would unleash violence in defending the revolutionary party, adding that as youth, they were going to defend the party.

"We have noted that CCC is unleashing violence against us, but starting from today, I am unleashing my dogs," he said.

"As youths, our mandate is to defend the revolutionary party and we are going to make sure we defend our party. CCC burnt houses in Chitungwiza and we are not going to fold our hands watching them unleashing violence," he said.
Whenever Zanu PF felt its grip on power slipping, the party has always resorted to violence. What is infuriating here is that Zimbabwe had the golden opportunity implement the democratic reforms and take away Zanu PF’s carte blanche vote rigging powers. Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends had five years to implement the reforms. They failed to get even one reform implemented!
How many more innocent Zimbabweans must die in this mindless violence before Chamisa and company finally admit the country must implement the reforms before elections! Anyone who believes Zanu PF will not resort to violence is as naïve and foolish as one who swimming in a crocodile infested river believing all crocos are now vegetarians.
SADC, EU, Americans, etc. are now sick and tired of telling Zimbabweans to implement reforms before elections.
It is tragic that many Zimbabweans refuse to think for themselves and continue to follow CCC like sheep to the slaughter. In the long run, nations get the government they deserve. Zimbabweans certainly deserve this Zanu PF dictatorship complete with its entourage of corrupt and utterly useless opposition parties.

"STOP THE NONSENSE zanupf you cant use us anymore to kill our people we want change real change will come when CCC RULES for it is the only party that will make sanctions to go we dont eat violence we want economic development we are all one nation we dont need violence if you want to kill go kill yourself."

To have real change we must first take away Zanu PF's carte blanche powers to use violence and to rig elections. MDC has failed to implement even one reform in 22 years, 5 of which in the GNU. To believe there can ever be meaningful change in Zimbaabwe without implement reforms is naive, to say the least!

  6. Zanu PF has always resorted to rigging elections and if necessary to using violence to secure victory. The problem for Zimbabwe is that the nation has tasked the MDC/CCC to implement the reforms designed to stop the rigging and the violence. Chamisa and company have sold out on reforms; they have settled for scraps of power from Zanu PF and meanwhile tell the voters CCC can win rigged elections.

  7. CCC Youth Assembly spokesperson Stephen Sarkozy Chuma wrote on Twitter:
“Yesterday our Bulawayo CCC Youth Change Champions held Day of African Child celebrations at Nketa Hall.
More than ever, Youth Change Champions are determined to remove @edmnangagwa.
President @nelsonchamisa will be the next President of Zimbabwe in 2023,”
This is just the usual utterly useless grandstanding and silver-back gorilla posturing by the opposition. As of 30 May 2022 the total number of new voter registrants was ¼ m which is 4% of CCC’s own target of 6 m! Registering new voters is the corner stone of CCC’s strategy to win 2023 elections; it is dead in the water and yet the posturing of the paper tiger continues unabated!
Zanu PF is rigging the 2023 elections just as readily as it rigged past elections and by participating CCC is giving Zanu PF legitimacy. Chamisa and company are ignoring the mountain of evidence of Zanu PF rigging the elections, they will be complaining of rigging the day after the elections. Everyone will ignore them then but alas, the damage will be done. This is why CCC posturing must be denounce now and not wait until the results of the rigged elections.

  8. THE Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has ordered banks to conduct site visits to clients who have taken out loans to ensure the money is used for its intended purposes, among other stringent measures.

In a statement on Friday, RBZ governor John Mangudya said its Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) had completed investigations on possible abuse of loan facilities by 15 entities and found that the majority were using business models based on arbitrage.

"They make significant profit margins by borrowing at concessionary terms, stocking and then selling their products in United States dollars or in Zimbabwe (ZW) dollars at inflated parallel market exchange rates, thus enabling them to easily pay off the loans from a portion of the proceeds, and start the borrowing cycle again," Mangudya said referring to the FIU investigation findings.

"Most of these entities generate significant revenues, in either Zimbabwe dollars or US dollars or both, which are sufficient to cater for their working capital requirements. Instead of using own revenues, they opt to fund most of their working capital requirements from the concessionary loans."
But this is hypocrisy since this is exactly what the RBZ has been doing all these years giving Tangwirei, wheat importers and, of course, the usual Zanu PF ruling elite foreign currency payments, loans, etc. at the official exchange rate knowing fully well the recipients will trade the good or the cash at the parallel black market rate making humongous profits. Dr Mangudya is stepping in to stop everyone else getting in on the act!
How typical, looting is not permitted except for these few Zanu PF ruling elite and their cronies.

  9. Chamisa and company do not deny that Zanu PF is rigging the elections; the evidence of the frog marching of rural voters to vote for Zanu PF, the lack of a free public media, the failure to produce a verified voters’ roll, etc., etc. was there for everyone to see for themselves.
Chamisa and company are not denying they had the golden opportunity to implement the reforms during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. They have got away with this amongst their own naïve and gullible supporters. Many of the supporters have no clue, even now with the benefit of hindsight, what the reforms are about much less how they are implemented. How can they blame MDC leaders for selling out on reforms when they don’t know what the reforms are!
Zimbabwe would have dismantled the Zanu PF dictatorship by 2013 at the latest, at least, and would be in a different place by now if MDC leaders had not turned out to be corrupt and utterly useless. Chamisa and company’s oxymoronic notion of “winning rigged elections” is per se a tacit acknowledgement and endorsement of the idiotic notion that Zanu PF has the divine right to rig elections.
All those have fought and died for freedoms and rights of all Zimbabweans, the foundation for justice and good governance, must be turning in the graves. The tragic human suffering caused by four decades of Zanu PF bad governance is heart-breaking. It is really infuriating that we are stuck in this mess because the opposition has not only sold out on reforms but are the ones keeping Zanu PF in power by insisting on participating in flawed elections.

Whilst it is in the nation’s interest to have those aspiring for public office to also demonstrate their commitment to democratic values in their political party and individual lives. The electorate must start demanding these things from all aspiring to hold public office.
Having said that, one has to also say it would be unwise for government to intervene in anyway in the matter. We don’t want government dictate who the people should vote for; let the people decide. If the people were to vote for CCC, knowing the party has no constitution, membership structure, has never held any party congress, etc., etc. then it must be because the people see more that just the constitution, etc.
