"Why are Africans enraged by past injustices but placid about today repression?" It's Zanu PF speaking, povo have no voice! W Mukori

 @ Mbofana

“Why are Africans so enraged by the injustices of the past but seldom have the same rage for today’s repression?

THIS perplexes me every time.

A deeply unsettling image made the rounds on Facebook this morning, accompanied by a poignant, emotionally charged caption about the horrors of our colonial past.”

Before independence the whites controlled the narrative of the blacks. “Our blacks are very happy!” Smith and his fellow whites would say. The blacks were never given a chance to speak for themselves. Well, that is one of the many things that did not change after independence!

The Zanu PF ruling elite and their cronies speak for us all and the ordinary Zimbabwean still have no voice or any meaningful political power. It is the ruling elite who are “enraged by the injustices of the past but seldom have the same rage for today’s repression”. They are responsible for today’s repressions and so they do not want to talk about it.

Zanu PF has never ever held free, fair and credible elections and thus gave the ordinary people a meaningful say in the governance of the country. The nearest the nation ever got to free and fair elections was the March 2008 elections. SADC had forced Zanu PF to accept a number of significant changes including the requirement to have counting of the vote to be done at each Polling Station and the results declared there and then.

As the election results started coming out, it was clear that Zanu PF was losing to Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC. Emerson Mnangagwa and Constantino Chiwenga interrupted the vote counting and launched Operation Mavhotera Papi, an electoral coup to restore Zanu PF power and to punish the people for having dared to reject the party.

Credit where credit is due; SADC and AU rejected Zanu PF’s claim to rule and forced the regime to go into the 2008 to 2013 GNU. The primary purpose of the GNU was to implement the democratic reforms to ensure the blatant cheating and wanton violence that marred the 2008 and past elections will never happen again.

Alas! Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC ‘banded mongoose” sold out. They not only failed to implement even one token reform in 5 GNU years but have participated in flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so would give Zanu PF legitimacy. Still they soldiered on out of greed and conned their supporters to participate.

“The worst aspect for me about the failure to agree a coalition was that both MDCs couldn’t now do the obvious - withdraw from the (2013) elections. The electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.

There is no denying that the MDC/CCC banded mongoose have played a pivotal role in helping Zanu PF to keep the masses quiet and confused about their tragic human suffering. For one thing the banded mongoose have kept the masses hopeful that change and a brighter future is just round the corner. The ease with which leaders like Chamisa have repeatedly conned millions to participate in flawed on the basis of idiotic lies, speaks volumes of the low IQ of most of our people.

The very low IQ of millions out there explains why it was ease for the whites before independence and now Zanu PF and the banded MDC/CCC mongoose to deny the mass a voice. Very slow thinking and even slower at  speech!

“Why are Africans so enraged by the injustices of the past but seldom have the same rage for today’s repression?" asked Rueben Mbofana.

You have to pull back the curtain of deceit, to see who is speaking! You will find it is the Zanu PF ruling elite or their MDC/CCC side-kick speaking. They are the cause of today's tragic human suffering and deaths and they do not want to talk about that because it will draw attention to their own failures and tyranny. They never tire of talking about the past, anything, to draw attention away from the present.

Zanu PF has never ever held free, fair and credible elections these last 46 years. Never ever! The nearest the ordinary people's voice was heard was the March 2008 elections when SADC had forced Zanu PF to carry out a number of electoral changes including having results counted and announced at each Polling Station. Mnangagwa and Chiwenga interrupted the process when it was evident Zanu PF was losing.

The 2008 Operation Mavhotera Papi was an electoral coup to wrestle power back to Zanu PF and punish the people for daring to reject Zanu PF. The ordinary Zimbabweans have no voice or vote - never had - not to be confused with the ruling elite operated ventriloquist dummies!
