EDfor2030 is a Zanu PF sting operation to draw attention away from rigged elections and illegitimacy. It worked! W Mukori

What if I tell you that the EDfor2030 hoo-haaa was a decoy to draw attention away from the more pressing matter that Zanu PF was illegitimate because both SADC and AU had condemned Zimbabwe’s 2023 elections as flawed and illegal. Well the EDfor2030 was indeed a decoy!

“ZANU-PF spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa has disclosed that the recent push to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa's tenure beyond the constitutionally mandated two terms was largely driven by external forces attempting to destabilize his leadership. Speaking to journalists after the party's 21st Annual National People's Conference in  Bulawayo on Saturday, Mutsvangwa emphasized that the slogan advocating for Mnangagwa to remain in office until 2030 was a direct response to these perceived threats,” it was reported

“While Mutsvangwa refrained from identifying the specific external actors allegedly seeking to unseat Mnangagwa, he expressed frustration over what he described as unwarranted interference in ZANU-PF's internal affairs. He asserted that party members were outraged by attempts to orchestrate a leadership change from outside the party.”

Trust the regime to milk the EDfor2030 campaign for all it is worth!

Still the EDfor2030 campaign was launched soon after the 2023 elections result were out to take the sting out of the political reality that Mnangagwa rigged the election and therefore was illegitimate. The regime did not want the nation asking the awkward questions as to why SADC and the AU had done nothing to punish him although both institutions had publicly accepted the damning elections report.

Mnangagwa knew that as much as people were angry that he had rigged the elections to extend his say in power, the prospect of him seeking to stay on beyond 2028 was unthinkable. The people’s reaction was predictable - they forgot about his current illegitimacy problem is the fight to stop him extending it even further.

The EDfor2030 lure has been so irresistible to the ignorant and gullible they have not only forgotten that Mnangagwa is illegitimate but better still they have given him brownie points each said he will not extend his stay in power beyond 2028.

“I respect the rule of law. I am a constitutionalist!” Mnangagwa has said repeatedly. All nonsense, of course. Where in the constitution does it say one can stage a military coup or blatantly rig elections? It will come as no surprise if Mnangagwa was to brush aside all these legal constrains stopping him staying in power beyond 2028. After all brushing aside a constitutional clause is nothing compared to staging a military coup.

The truth is Zanu PF will rig the 2028 elections whether Mnangagwa or some one else is the party’s presidential candidate. If we had not been so easily lured by the EDfor2030 mantra and kept our eyes fixed of Zanu PF rigged the 2023 elections and is therefore illegitimate, we might have made some progress in getting democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging elections implemented.

So the EDfor2030 lure has worked like a charm for Zanu PF, the people has been focusing on stopping Mnangagwa extending his stay in office beyond 2028 they forgot the regime rigged 2023 elections and, worst of all, that without reforms will rig 2028 elections. As for Mnangagwa standing in 2028; there is nothing the people can do to stop him!

In short, Zimbabweans should have kept their eyes on the ball - condemning Zanu PF for rigging 2023 elections and making sure  all the democratic reforms are finally implemented to stop the regime rigging all future elections.

Sadly, this is not the first time Zanu PF has thrown a meatless bone - stopping Mnangagwa extending his rule beyond 2028 - at us to draw our attention away from what real matters - ensuring free and fair elections. The regime pulled a similar fast one on the nation in 2017 when attention was diverted to Mugabe must go when the nation should have demanding not just the dictator Mugabe to go but that the whole Zanu PF dictatorship itself to be totally dismantled. We never learn!

It is degrading that millions of our people should be living in abject poverty because we have failed to govern ourselves. It is better to admit the failure and, hopefully, end the curse of bad governance. We have millions out there who prefer to deny the truth and/or find scapegoats to blame for our own failures. We have allowed these nincompoops to have a voice and a vote. It is imperative we silence these nincompoops and never again allow them to have the final say on the matter!

*AS I SIT here, my work at a standstill due to the daily power outages we are experiencing in Zimbabwe, most times going for 15 hours or more a day, I can not help wondering.*

What has this supposed ‘independence’ brought to the people of this country?"

On the political front, Ian Smith denied blacks a meaningful vote. Under Zanu PF the people are frog marched to vote for the regime. On the economic front Smith generated wealth and the whites had the lion's share. Since independence the nation's economy has been is decline due to gross mismanagement and rampant corruption.

"If blacks are to rule themselves people
in towns will walk on sewage until they
believe it's normal, all the gains from
    colonization will varnish, infrastructure
will collapse, roads will be impassable,
trains will kill ppl until they're abandoned
as an unsafe mode of transport,
hospitals will be closed ,farms will be
grabbed and nothing to feed the nation." said Ian Smith in 1975.

It is self-evident Smith was right. There is nothing but shame in admitting this and even more so that we have allowed this to happen.

This is so childish! I have consistently criticised MDC leaders for selling out by failing to implement even one token reform during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. Tsvangirai, Chamisa, Coltart, Ncube, Mwonzora, etc. were all senior MDC leaders in the GNU. They all failed the nation because they are corrupt and incompetent. So why did you come up with this nonsense that I regard Mwonzora as my demigod?

The sheer stupidity of your remarks speaks volume of your serious intellectual deficiency. The real tragedy for Zimbabwe is that idiots like you have the vote and are the ones holding the nation to ransom!

“You can't win the war to turn the minds of the so called idiots if you don't participate in the country’s rough political terrain. You only need to revisit campaigns by Dr Simba Makoni and Dr Nkosana Moyo to realise that politics in Zimbabwe is not about ideas but the stomach. Poverty has reduced voters to road runner chickens who run to the master whenever they see him holding a basket of corn. It's a mammoth task to change that.”

Man is a creature of reason we are in this mess because we have allowed our brain to ossify into fat and given in to this personality cult mentality when leaders are infallible demigod whom we follow blindly no questions asked. Millions of Zimbabweans have been participating in these flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate their own suffering because the blindly believed Chamisa’s idiotic lie that he had plugged all the vote rigging loop holes. Zanu PF blatantly rigged the elections, proof Chamisa was lying, and yet many of the village idiots still stubbornly refuse to accept that Chamisa is a liar. They will be just as easily conned into participate in the coming 2028 elections.

Of course, millions of our people are ignorant and gullible. There are leaders like Mnangagwa, Chamisa, etc. who KNOW our people have serious intellectual challenges and have exploited the people for their own selfish political gain.

There are few other Zimbabweans who have taken up the important task of educating the people so they can think for themselves and not be exploited. Educating a brain dead populous is a mammoth task, I readily agree especially when there are many out there fighting hard to keep the people ignorant and naive. A mammoth task, but not an impossible one!

“Your first.problem is thinking that you are educated and your have got some level iwe usina chaunoziva. Your second problem is thinking that if you post a lot you can fake it till you make it. The last problem which is the biggest you have. Is that you are holding tightly to wrong information.

If you were totally ignorant it would be better we just teach and you get. Maaaanje you need to be untaught (which is a very difficult process to the likes of you) then retaught depending on the success of unteaching). From the look of things hauchatodzoreke.”

This is rich coming from some one who has failed to grasp something as basic as democratic reforms! Well, let us agree that one of us knows fcuk off and yet pretends to be wiser than King Solomon himself! We should let others and time decide which one of us is the village idiot.

“Why are you so obsessed with the village folks to the point of always lashing at them.”

They were conned by Chamisa to participate in flawed 2023 elections in their millions giving Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuating the dictatorship. They believed Chamisa’s idiotic lie that he had plugged all vote rigging loop holes. They will be conned again to participate in the 2028 elections and no one with half a working brain can allow this madness to continue!

We should have never allowed village idiots like you to have the vote but that is water under the bridge. I am here to hammer some sense into your empty head and millions of others just like you. I have the sludge hammer to do the job!

Zimbabwe is a failed state because we the people are ignorant, naive and gullible. We are so easily conned! Last year Chamisa conned 2 million into participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate the nation's suffering because they believed Chamisa's idiotic lie that he had plugged all vote rigging loop holes. #Godisinit!

Right now Zanu PF is using the farcical "2030 Mnangagwa anenge achipo!" mantra to draw attention away from the reality that he rigged 2023 elections and, since nothing is being done to end the curse of rigged elections, Zanu PF will certainly rig the 2028 elections too.

We really are a foolish lot. Even after 44 years of rigged elections, we still have no clue what to do to end this curse of rigged elections. The political leaders on both sides of the political divide continue to toy with us like a cat toying with a mouse!

“The only strategy to win back the people's minds from ZanuPF's authoritarian rule is by uniting and forming a formidable opposition that stands firm, with sound principles that are people centred rather than relying on a political philosophy and moral stance of individualism. https://pic.x.com/cUeVTRkJzR"

This is getting to be tedious!

Which comes first, the unity or the sound principles? I would say the sound principles because calling for people to unite behind leaders like Morgan Tsvangirai - a man of wishy-washy ideas has not worked. Tsvangirai and his MDC friends have failed to implement even one democratic reform in 24 years including the 5 years in the GNU although they have always promised to deliver democratic changes.

So what “sound principles” have you, Mr Job Sikhala, produced? I have yet to hear you say something of substance.

What is clear here is that you want to participate in the next flawed 2028 elections (just as you have participated in similar flawed elections in the past). You want the opposition to unite because this will improve your chance of winning some of the few seats Zanu PF gives away as bait to entice the opposition to participate in the flawed regardless how flawed giving the regime legitimacy.

You know participating in these flawed elections will NOT end Zanu PF’s authoritarian rule but rather give the regime legitimacy and thus perpetuate the dictatorship and the nation’s suffering. Of course, if povo knew that you and your “formidable opposition” are hell-bent on perpetuating in flawed elections to perpetuate their suffering, they would never ever support you.

It is all very well being a simpleton; to you everything is binary - black or white, right or wrong, Zanu PF or CCC, etc. Alas, the real world is a lot more complex than that!

To you Chamisa is not only right, he is an infallible demigod who must never ever be questioned much less held to account. The reality is he is not just a fallible mere mortal but one with a well documented track record as corrupt, incompetent and a liar.

Chamisa conned the 2 million village idiots like you into participating in flawed 2023 elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the dictatorship. They believed the idiotic lie of plugging all the vote rigging loop hole.

Of course, Chamisa must be held to account for all the blatant betrayals and lies more so now since there is a real danger he will con the idiots into participating in flawed 2028 elections too!

After 44 years of rigged elections we, with half a brain to see and comprehend, MUST put an end to this insanity and tragic human suffering it has brought. And that is exactly what I am doing. Of course, I do not expect a village idiot with his binary and personality cult mentality to understand all this.

Are you sure I have never spoken about Zanu PF “rigging elections and threatening people with death”? Or is it that I have done so but given your personality cult mentality all that was forgotten when I dared to hold your demigod, Nelson Chamisa, to account for his lying and blatant betrayals.

I can see you still continue to judge people's contribution on the basis of where they are. You are a village idiot and so I am not surprised that you do that. The truth is that no one has the monopoly of knowledge and therefore we must welcome everyone's contribution and judge it on merit.

You are in Zimbabwe and you are a village idiot and I know there are village idiots here in the diaspora too. The very fact that you are in Zimbabwe has nothing to do with your intellectual ability - you are still an idiot - and leaving the country will not change that. Chief or povo you are still an idiot!

MUGABE DID NOT EMBRACED UNIVERSAL SUFFRAGE BECAUSE WE WANTED ALL ZIMBABWEANS TO HAVE A MEANINGFUL SAY IN THE GOVERNANCE OF THE COUNTRY. ON CONTRARY, HE DID SO OUT OF MISCHIEF. HE KNEW WITHOUT EDUCATION AN IGNORANT, NAIVE AND GULLIBLE ELECTORATE CAN EASILY BE SHORT CHANGED AND CONNED TO VOTE AS HE PLEASED EVEN CONTRARY TO VOTERS' OWN BEST INTERESTS.

THERE IS NO DENYING THAT THE CHAMISA CHETE CHETE BRIDGE, IN THEIR STUPIDITY ARE THE ONES GIVING ZANU PF LEGITIMACY AND PERPETUATING THE DICTATORSHIP AND THE NATION'S SUFFERING. THE IDIOTS EVEN HAVE THE CHUTZPAH TO CALL THEMSELVES NATIONAL HEROES!

CHAMISA IS GEARING TO PARTICIPATE IN FLAWED 2028 ELECTIONS AND SO WILL GUMBO. HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO LET THESE MDC/CCC LEADERS CON US INTO PARTICIPATING IN FLAWED ELECTIONS TO PERPETUATE OUR OWN SUFFERING.

CCC leaders participated in the 2023 elections knowing fully well that Zanu PF was rigging and that participating will give the regime legitimacy. Still they participated because they also knew that the regime was giving away a few gravy train seats to entice the opposition to participate. Even after SADC and AU condemn the election process, winning CCC leaders took up their seats making it impossible for SADC and AU to deny Zanu PF legitimacy.

It is sickening that the sell out CCC leaders should be criticising Zanu PF - they regime they have done so much to ensure won the elections and had legitimacy. We welcome genuine criticism but this stinks because it is political posturing!

It is already happening. Ask any of the millions of Zimbabwe who believed Chamisa’s idiotic lie of plugging all the vote rigging loop hole and you will be surprised how many of those will admit they are ashamed they believed the lie. Some of the hard core Chamisa Chete Chete will be ashamed to admit it but equally ashamed deny it and so they will not answer the question.

Let us start with you Maposa: Do you admit Chamisa lied about plugging all vote rigging loop holes? Do not worry, a few more sludge hammer blows will soften you up!

“If CCC did not participate was that going to stop Zanu PF and other parties from Contesting?

    You are illogical.”

After 44 years of rigged elections one would think that the penny has finally dropped on the sheer futility of participating in flawed elections knowing fully well that Zanu PF will rig the election and that participating will only give Zanu PF legitimacy.

As much as SADC and AU election observers condemned the election process was flawed and illegal, neither body had the inclination to deny Zanu PF the political legitimacy. How could they interfere! If Zimbabweans are happy to participate in flawed and illegal elections, it is not for SADC or any other outsider to rubbish the result.

So, here we are! After 44 years of rigged election, we continue to participate in flawed and illegal elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy and perpetuate our own suffering. To do otherwise is “illogical” we are told.

Yes, let us talk about implementing the democratic reforms. In your opinion, which of the two political parties do you expect to implement the reforms; Zanu PF or MDC/CCC?

I would say the later. Why would Zanu PF want to implement any reforms and lose the vote rigging powers! I have criticised MDC/CCC leaders for selling out and failing to implement even one token reform. If they have implemented the reforms then name just one reform they have implement!
